I am very pleased with the performance of this steamer as it definitely gets the job done but for me there are some problems in relation to ease of use.PositivesSwivel head excellent and makes the mop very easy to manoeuvre / its well made and sturdy/ steam control is very good / pads are easy to fit, use and clean / very good results / handheld is easy to remove / water tank easy to remove but needs a small pouring jug as filling hole very tiny / steams consistently at all angles / noise tells you when tank needs refilling / not heavy to push / floors dry quickly with good results and without using detergent / grout tool did a splendid job in the grooves of a folding bath screen /taps look like new /drains are clear / Squeegee did a good job on glass shower screenNegatives-The worst problem for me is that there is no extension tube for the handheld, which I wrongly thought there was. I bought the steamer predominantly to clean my bathroom and toilet but even with the hose and squeegee attached I cannot reach the top rows of tiles, particularly over the bath. I've had to get round this by leaving the handheld on the main mop body and cleaning the top tiles like a floor . Its heavy to hold but it does steam upside-down and gets the job done very quickly. This tells me it would be nice to be able to buy a larger brush to fit on the hose as well as an extension tube for those of us who are only 5ft 2". I wouldn't have bought this model if I hadn't mistakenly thought I would be able to easily clean all my tiles.- I also wanted to steam the bottom tiles with a cloth over the squeegee as the brushes weren't big enough, but the cloth provided wasn't thick enough. I got round this by making covers similar thickness to the floor pads with 4 thicknesses of micro fibre myself. I found using the squeegee without a cloth too difficult at the bottom of the tiles; and with having to keep your hand on a trigger and without a shoulder strap you have no spare hand to wipe as you go. I am intending to make myself a shoulder strap to fit over the handle and something to hold the button down for occasions when 2 hands are needed. As a trial run an elastic strap with a hook on both ends worked nicely to bind the trigger down.- I had the same problem cleaning my ceiling to floor, very wide, windows (and top kitchen cupboards). Such a large area needed an extension tube and would have benefitted a larger squeegee if one were available to buy. I ended up steaming the windows and then using my existing squeegee to clear the steam.- The detergent tank on my mop does not release its contents. The level just stays the same with the on dial turned as far as possible.- The grip to hold the cord does not work at all and I had to hold the cord in my left hand as it kept getting in my way. I also kept it loosely wound twice around the cord holder in smaller areas where I found it a little too long. When balanced against the mops performance this is a minor issue but one that could have been cheaply rectified.- The nozzle and tools fall off the hand held when I'm using them, which is irritating when I'm in a rush. They also fall out of the tool holders at the back. The latter isn't a real problem as I put them in the bag with the hose. I also stopped the nozzle falling out of the holder at the top of the handle by fixing the squeegee on the end. This also provided a method of storing the bag over the handle without it slipping down.All in all I've still given this steamer 4 stars for quality, performance without detergent and the 2 year guarantee.

I bought this as my step-mother always raves about hers, and now the weather has warmed up, scrubbing the floor on my hands and knees to get a good clean was a pain. This makes very light work of a horrible job, particularly with three kids, two cats and a dog in the house. Putting it together was easy (although the accessories tend to fall off..put them in the neat bag that comes with this item.) and within minutes I was cleaning away. It cleans the kitchen & two bathroom floors in minutes, and does a very good job, very easily. The front of the cleaning pad can come astray a bit, but you just need to be careful where you place it on the head. Although I also have a Vax carpet cleaner (which is AMAZING)

Used for the first time today on tiled kitchen / conservatory floors and a vinyl bathroom floor, all of which have cleaned to a very high standard using the supplied detergent. The floor was left dry and free of any residual stickiness after the process.This machine is easy to maneuverer around the bathroom suite and under worktops in other rooms, due to the swivelling mop head which has ample rotation to ease its way into the tightest of corners.The machine takes up very little space when finished with probable less than the old bucket and mop.I had to try out the accessories as well and found that they also did an excellent job of removing the hidden grime from those inaccessible joints i.e.

The Vax stream mop is a breeze to set up and It's ready to use within 15 seconds. Doesn't use that much power compared to boiling the kettle 3 or 4 times to mops.Helps clear areas that are just to hard to reach. It has way more than 15 uses -- example I've got a very tricky chandelier to clean. Power down all the electrics before hand and blast that dust away with the hand held.The previous owner of the house decided to put down white grout on the kitchen floor which is a nightmare to clean and regular mopping only makes it worse. Grab the hand held and it makes quick work of the dirty grout in seconds. (it cleans grout so well that after a few seconds i had washed away the too much grouting and exposed the tile spacers,

Sturdy, compact and easy/light to use with multitude of tools for different jobs. Took a few minutes to set up initially and I haven't quite worked out how to get the small tube to fit under the handle, but that is not an issue. Now I've gained confidence in filling and emptying the containers it takes just seconds. The steamer heats up very quickly and it gets easier to use with practice in that you realise how much steam you need. Floor dries really quickly afterwards and I've yet to use the scrubber section as the steam and mop pads seem to work fine. I really wish I'd bought one sooner - it does a much better job of cleaning my kitchen floor than my previous mop and bucket.

I like this as its exactly as described. I mainly use this as a floor mop and it's very easy to use and brings up my kitchen floor lovely,as we have a textured floor which never quite looked clean with an ordinary mop. As long as you do not press the steam button too much the floor will dry very quickly. The detergent option is easy to turn on or off so it is nice to have the option. It is easy to use handheld and it makes it much easier to clean oven doors etc, you still need to do some scrubbing but it halves the amount of effort you have to put in. There is a good selection of handheld accessories for around the home and we have also used it in the car to freshen the carpets.

I have used the vax bare floor pro steamer for some time and have been meaning to purchase a hand held steam cleaner for some time. As storage is tight in my house I decided to purchase the steam fresh combi. It is a brilliant steamer the hand held just pops of the main unit and is ready to go, it has many attachments which tackle a wide range of cleaning applications. The floor head is just as good as the bare floor pro and as an added bonus the steam fresh combi uses the same size floor pads so no need to buy new ones.The only minor cons are the water tanks are small and if doing a major cleaning project they need refilling regularly, that said it is a very quick and easy process to accomplish.

I got this steam cleaner after checking out the reviews on Which. My old one was making very odd noises and clearly wasn't going to survive much longer, it was a cheap make and I only bought it to see if a steam cleaner would work on my floors.The new one took a little bit of getting used to, the fact that you use the steam in short bursts was very different but I soon got the hang of it. I like the fact you can pop off the head by simply holding it down with one foot, this allows you to use the brush attachment before popping the head back on. Very useful when you want to concentrate on a spot whilst in the middle of cleaning a larger area.I havent tried any of the hand tools yet but so far,

This is a very good product and would recommend to anyone, however the detergent dispenser stopped dispensing like so many other peoples steam mops. I resolved this as follows:1.Fill the dispenser tank with hot water only (hot from the tap) NO DETERGENT. and clean your floor as normal. The tank will start to empty. Keep going until completely empty.2.Let the machine cool down and fill the detergent tank as per normal (cold water 50/50 mix) and hey presto!!! dispensing and smelling fresh.In short, when it stops dispensing simply flush the system with hot tap water. Because the water is hot it will create a slight pressure inside the tank helping it flow.

I have bought this product recently and it cleans beautifully. We have a cat in the house and I suffer from allergy, so this steam mop really makes my life easier.I have one problem though. Detergent is not working. I have read the instructions and watched the video. I filled it up correctly.The problem seems to be the plastic tube inside the detergent tank. When filling up I hold the tank upside down and the little plastic tube reaches deep in the tank. After filling up the tank should be turned back, so the bottom gets to the top, this is how it can be fitted to the mop; and that means you can only use detergent as long as the level of fluid inside is not getting lower than the end of the plastic tube.

I purchased this 1 month ago having spent weeks researching the best steam mops for uneven textured tile floors. The selling point for this was the pop out brush nozzle for spot cleaning on floors. I am genuinely impressed with this steam mop and would definitely recommend. I can do my entire ground floor in 1 tank of water and the cable is just about long enough to get around everywhere. Previous mops I've tried have short cables that meant you were constantly unplugging and moving it around the room, a real faff. The only negative I have is that you have to pull the trigger on the handle to get bursts of steam, I would have preferred a constant steam but that aside this is a brilliant mop and great value compared to the H20 mops which I tried first and Karcher.

Just purchased this multi steamer and its great! I've had a few different steam cleaners over the years but this is the best by far! It's great at cleaning but If it wasn't so heavy I would definitely give it 5*!Pros:+ Fantastic job at cleaning laminate floors+ Great cleaning floor tiles + good on cleaning grout and wall tiles+ it comes with multiple different attachments for different jobs around the house.+ Its easy to dismantle the machine to become a portable steamer.+ Quite a powerful cord+ solid sturdy machine + really easy to understand instructions Cons- I found the machine to be rather heavy to use, I've had a few different steam cleaners over the years and this is by far the heaviest.

This arrived a few weeks back so I’ve had a chance to use a few of the features. It cleans hard floors really well and does a decent job of freshening carpets. The pads are easy to apply and remove, and the machine is easy to fill.The hand steam function is really good for cleaning awkward spaces, but the cloth for the mirror attachment is thin and really difficult to fit, and becomes saturated pretty quickly. It doesn’t leave mirrors and windows streak free in my experience. The on board storage for the tools is a bit useless, the tools fall off every time I use it which is a bit annoying. Also there is nowhere to store the hose and the window/mirror attachment.The instruction booklet would

I've used a few steam cleaners and all seemed to have something letting them down but this one from Vax ticks all the right boxes. Easy to set up and quick to get going, strong and durable with secure connections for the attachments, well designed - especially the handheld steamer and good to excellent steam longevity and pressure. I noticed some reviews mentioned there's no way to tell when the water is running low but maybe there has been a recent deign addition as there is now a little metal ball on a spring within the water compartment which rattles when the water is near empty.If I had to pick on one thing it's that more cleaning/scrub cloths could be provided but that's only because I need to use it everyday and it'd be good to have a one on,

I received this today and I couldn't get the steam to work through the floor system, phoned VAX, brilliant backup. All you do is make sure when filling the water reservoir on the main system is to shake it before clicking in as it releases the air lock. Used it today on the floors - brilliant. A strong sturdy machine, well worth the money. Delighted with the results. In fact, purchased additional 2 sets of pads when I was on the phone with Customer Services at a special reduced price. Out of all the steam cleaners I had this is definitely the most effective. No water residue left on the floors and the deodorant bottle sample, beautiful smell throughout the house. NO STREAKS on the wooden laminate - great!
