I had an ageing Shark two-part steamer that finally gave up the ghost recently. I looked at a lot of options for its replacement, including other manufacturers. Given the longevity of the previous one I had, I was drawn to return to Shark.I looked a variety of mop only steamers, and was very happy when I found they have updated the model I had into this newer version.It arrived very quickly- even in these testing times. To my surprise- and quite out of step with modern updates to appliances- all my existing accessories, mop heads etc, all fit this new machine as well. This newer model gets to heat much faster than the old one and seems to keep the steam flowing with far fewer pauses than the older one did.It's much better at cleaning and works better for longer.The new mop-heads work well, once you get the hang of the knack to snap them on. I prefer this style to the sock type that was used before. [but as I can still use my old pads and heads, I now have a big array of choices]The tank is big enough for a good amount of cleaning- I can do kitchen, hallway and living room on one tank. All in all this is a great cleaning machine that can do a huge amount of the tasks you normally do with a cloth.Downsides:-For me the power cable could be longer. 8m is ok, but 12m would mean I could do the whole floor from one socket.-When using as a hand-held cleaner, it would be great if the trigger could have a latch so that you don't need to always keep on hand on that when using.-The newer style mop heads look like they won't last as long as the sock type- they're much thinner and will probably need replacing sooner.All-in-all a very happy customer who has much cleaner floors!

After seeing other steam cleaner products I was very excited to see how the Shark steam cleaner performed. Upon opening the box I was surprised to see how many accessories the cleaner came with and the versatility of the cleaner. The areas you can use this is range from the kitchen, to the floors and to the bathroom as well as the windows and even the oven! The area I used the cleaner on was the kitchen floor. After assembling the cleaner within a matter of moments, I was amazed at how much cleaner the floor was after just one sweep. I was also pleasantly surprised at how dry the floor was after using the cleaner. I honestly expected the floor to be really wet afterwards.I moved into the bathroom and used the hose attachments to clean all the chrome around the taps, instantly a shine came up.The Shark steam cleaner utilises lift away technology which means you can use the steamer without the whole base, allowing for cleaning in those hard to reach places. I used this on the windows and windowsill, this makes the whole unit lighter and more flexible.The cleaner has a long cord, good size water tank so you don't have to keep refilling it, and also the whole unit easy to use and lift.As a wheelchair user this is so easy to use and now I feel confident my home is clean and bacteria free. Bought this steam mop a few days ago as my previous one (not Shark) stopped emitting steam. A friend recommended Shark so thought I would go on this recommendation as having read many reviews for different products I didn’t know what to go for as all seemed to have negative feedback.This mop is quite heavy however to me this is not a drawback and I feel it’s sturdy compared to my previous cleaner which felt flimsy. I would have liked a bit more steam however and feel I won’t use the low setting much. It is fairly easy to use although I haven’t quite mastered the press once for low steam, twice for high and three times for off. Sounds easier than it is but I am sure I’ll get the hand of it.You have to keep the trigger pressed for steam when hand held but this isn’t a problem unless you have an issue with you hands.I am disappointed in two things however. It doesn’t come with a carpet glider and I am finding it really hard to locate one anywhere and as soon as the machine was delivered I used it found no carpet glider included, went online to find one and discovered machine is now £30 cheaper everywhere!

As 2/3rds of my house is either tiles or wood flooring I was desperate to ditch the mop and bucket. This machine delivers on my expectations. For the tiles it steam cleans efficiently without saturating the floor. For the wood flooring there is a reduced steam setting so as not to allow too much vapour into the crevices where there are joins. So far I have cleaned the gas hob, the grouting and the kitchen cupboard doors using the hand held part of the machine with the appropriate attachments suppled. Another huge benefit for those of us who are trying to be environmentally friendly is that I have not had to use any commercially bought liquid cleaning fluids to obtain these good results.For me the only slight negatives would be that it is quite heavy and a bit of a nuisance to store. I would definitely advise getting the deionised water as the water outlets are quite small and would fur up in hard water area like mine and I will probably purchase an extra mop pad as I use it every day, although it is supplied with two.

I’ve had my Shark floor and handheld steam cleaner for well over two months now and I can honestly say I am well and truly obsessed! It’s perfect for all sealed hard floors including tile, stone and hardwood and my favourite feature is that it transforms into a handheld steam cleaner for above-the-floor cleaning! It works effortlessly on worktops, windows, tiles and taps, glass and so much more! And you can reach all corners and crevices with the accessories it comes with. I use it in the hallway, my porch, in the kitchen on the tiles and also use it in my oven, it removes all the dirt and grease without any chemicals. I would highly recommend this to anyone as it has so many uses and works amazingly all around the house.It comes with so many different attachments and I love the steam blast technology for stubborn marks! I was really hesitant to buy a steam mop as I have the really large tiles that are super shiny so you have to be careful what to use on tiles like these as you don’t want to have smears! I bought this mop and honestly I have used it for my whole downstairs and it does not leave any smears whatsoever and even on the highest setting the floor is not dripping wet and it dries so quickly. My house has so many windows and bifold and floods my downstairs with light so any smears you would see but this leaves my floors sparkling, no smears and it’s kills 99.9% of bacteria without the use of any chemicals! I have two large German shepherds so you can imagine there giant paws but I know it’s just water and no harm to them from using this product on my floor!Just buy it you will not regret it and if I saw this review it would of helped as the shine on my floors was really important!

I'm very impressed with my Shark Floor and Handheld Steam Cleaner! I've decided to get one to limit the use of traditional cleaning products that are full of nasty chemicals and I'm totally blown away by the versatility of it! I've literally cleaned my bathroom top to bottom with it! It's perfect for floor tiles, wall tiles, taps, windows, sinks and all the other bathroom surfaces! The extra attachments made it really easy to steam all the awkward places that often get neglected as the access is restricted by pipes etc. It was also fantastic in the kitchen. I'm most impressed with how it cleaned my oven! I have been using your previous steamer ,and I have said it wanted one that you could take apart .Great News it has arrived ,it is very easy to take apart and hey presto it does a great job of our wet room and every thing has come up well. I have also steamed our hallway, kitchen, and lounge and bedrooms laminate floors also a great job it does not seem much heavier than the other model but to me it is not very easy to push over the floors ..The reason I have only given four stars is that it was a pity that you did not think off a soft grip handle as it can get a bit uncomfortable when you have used it for a long while.but that is just me being fussy,Thank Goodness someone as brought one out that comes apart and at a sale price as well

I got this steam mop over a week ago and wow what a change, my floors are sooo clean, my bathroom is constantly sparkling in between all those small cracks you can never get too its fantastic! I love that in a few clicks it can be a handheld steam mop with loads of attachments. The head is really easy to change and wash so you can re use again and again! We have wooden floors and a toddler so as you can imagine its so handy getting grubby marks up especially when it heats up within a minute and cools down quickly too! I love this steam cleaner with lift away hand held steamer with attachments . However I was disappointed to discover that although it has a fair few attachments the 2 that I wanted most were not part of the purchase pack and i have been unable to purchase the carpet glider separately as it us currently out of stock and has been for a month now. It also does not come with a garment steamer attachment nor can you buy it separately. The floor steamer however is great, I thought my floors were clean (I normally use a micro fibre mop and floor cleaner ) until I used the steamer and the result was amazing.

We’ve had a Vax steamer for a year and have been really impressed with it.... until tonight when we have just used our new shark 2 in 1 floor and hand steamer “Oh my gosh” we did the kitchen with the Vax on Tuesday and just used the shark on the same floor and I’ve never seen the mop head this dirty, such a satisfying feeling knowing our new steam shark is as good as our Shark vacuum. this is perfect for homes like ours with pets as it has NO CHEMICALS !!!No longer do we have to keep the dog locked in another room whilst steaming the house. I got this cleaner a couple of weeks ago and I like it a lot. I have another steam cleaner and I find the steam pressure on that is greater than the Shark. However the Shark has more features which makes it overall a better piece of kit. For instance it is easier and quicker to set up. The steam pressure is reached quicker and can be used virtually straight away. The cleaning surface area of the pads are greater and therefore covers a greater cleaning area. I also like the detachable body which enhances the cleaning applications. Overall a good piece of kit and well worth the cost.

bought this a few weeks ago and have used it loads. it is super quick and easy and a bonus that you don't need to touch the cleaning cloth to fit and remove it. although this product is not big it would be beneficial if it could fold or be made smaller for storage when not in use. i looked on the Shark website for a clip to be able to hang thr product up for tidy storage however there does not appear to be one that would fit this product. this is the only downside - the storing of the product, not an issue if you have plenty of storage space.

I had this up and running within minutes of getting this out of the box.I have 2 dogs, 2 children and a white tile kitchen floor so it’s usually filthy. very easy to use the machine, less than a minute I could start cleaning. no touch feature for the manky used pads and they machine washed well. using it all most daily to keep my floor clean, it leaves it dry and streak free.The hand tools are a bonus. It wasn’t great on glass (windows) but handy for getting scuff marks off the cupboards.
