My mams been after a cordless vacuum for a while now to replace her old corded upright and she insisted on it being one she could use easily on her staircase. After trying out this and a VAX she opted for the shark. I was a bit worried how she’d get on with it as it looks very high tech and space age but she took to it like a fish to water. Luckily it had stickers on it for beginners showing where each item clicks in and out so assembling it was a breeze, even for a pensioner with arthritis. She was over the moon with the array of tools that came with it, many more then a VAX and the idea you got a little cloth bag to keep them in really appealed to her, nice touch Shark. After assembling it she gave it a go and luckily the battery came charged, Ive never seen her have so much fun in ages, what was going to be a quick vacuum of the rug quickly turned into a deep clean of the whole carpet, couldnt stop her. She instantly noticed how much more powerful it was compared to her last flintstones era model and being able to see the cathair etc picked up in the cylinder was hypnotic to her, she kept looking to see how much there was and couldnt believe her seemingly clean carpet, vacuumed the day before, still had so much on it. Never able tomsee the much with a hoover bag! Shes fascinated by it.Next she whipped off the tubes end and converted it to tackle cobwebs up high, I sat petrified, would an ornament go flying...nope, she was waving the perfectly balanced Shark over her head and destroying the homes of a couple of wee spiders, like some grey aired harbinger of doom. If nothing else it will be a good workout for her arms.Just the stair test to pass now, so off came the main tube and it was converted again with the small brush. As Id hoped, she was up and down those stairs like Mo Farrah with a water infection, couldnt stop her now she was free of the cord, getting into every corner of those stairs. She loved the fact that power didnt mean noise and her two cats who normally run and hide when the corded one emerges just sat and stared, though I have a theory they were bemused at her having more energy that morning then in the last five years. The clear barrel ended up full of cat hair and cracker crumbs and she simply clicked it off and poured it into the bin.I think the best advert for the model is that its so user friendly and usable by the elderly because if they can manage with it then the rest of us should have no problems and shes one picky lady, hard to please, this is the woman who refused to acknowledge THE GENERATION GAME on tv still existed after Larry Grayson stopped presenting it. Personally I prefer my VAX but my mam swears by the shark and shes telling all her gooden oldie friends to get one. She doesnt like to remove the battery to charge it, just folds down the Shark and charges it whilst standing. Think she wants it on display to show off when mildred down the streeet pops round, she loves it, surprised she hasnt given it a pet name yet.Full marks for power and performance, bonus points for putting a smile on the old ladies face.

Initially I was not overly impressed with this hoover. I also own another Shark Lift-Away hoover so my review is based on my comparison of this. Firstly the negatives!-I was disappointed with the level of suction; compared to my other Shark hoover the suction is poor. When using the trigger it generates the equivalent of the normal suction of my other hoover. We hare a household of two adults, two children and two dogs so need a reasonably heavy duty hoover.-Another irritating feature is that it is not free standing. I had to stop hoovering to answer the door and it fell over, it does not take long to press the fold away button but it is a habit to stand up a hoover and expect it to stay upright.-I do not like the fact that the attachments can not be stored on the hoover itself, there is a bag supplied but i often use the nozzle on my other hoover and found this frustrating.-The final negative point is that the capacity is noticeably smaller than my other shark hoover which led to more trips to the bin.Now for the positives!-The more I used the hoover, the more i like its `convenience'. It is so easy to whizz this hoover around when you only have a few spare minutes before the school run. No faffing with plugs and wrestling with the power lead.-This hoover is significantly quieter than my other hoover and as a result my two dogs don't feel they need to chase it round and bark at it.-I love how easily accessible the settings for the hard floor/carpet settings and stronger suction catch are. They are literally at your fingertips, ideal for when your in a rush (as I often am).-To empty the cylinder is easier. The compartment is light weight compared to my other and is released by a sliding push device. Very easy to operate.-The battery has yet to run out! The battery time is more than sufficient to clean upstairs and downstairs of my home.-The weight of this hoover is great! My mother has issues with her shoulder ans often struggles with hoovering, she found this so much easier to operate. My final positive is the `Flexology' feature. Its wonderful! It allows you to get right under the furniture at the click of a button. I spend ages lugging beds and sofas around to hoover under them but this is no longer necessary - saving me a massive amount of time and effort. If it wasn't for the suction ans accessory issue, I would have given a 5* review. We've just taken delivery of the Shark. It was bought to replace my very heavy Dyson upright which I hated from the start. Unfortunately I bought this upright at the same time as the Dyson Stick C35 and because they cost so much money I've been stuck with them for years! Vacuuming has been a nightmare ever since, often my husband having to do it. Anyway, I couldn't stand that daunting feeling any more, every time I wanted to vacuum and had to do something about it. After making such a huge mistake with the upright I was very worried as to what vacuum to buy. Yes, Dyson has the suction, but they are also over priced and not always that well made.I have used many Dyson Stick varieties during the pet sitting we do and seen the problems first hand. A very disabled neighbour of mine had already purchased a Shark model and loves it and so I did some research, read many Reviews and bit the bullet and bought this particular one. Well, I love it ! Love it so much that I've already vacuumed four times since its delivery and look for an excuse to get the vac out! I must have gone mad being in Lockdown!! The carpet under my very heavy settee got cleaned for the first time in years with the "bendy" stick. Even found I had use for the light as I could see where I was vaccing at the back of my dining room table this morning. I've used it on my rug, with the floor setting, and it looks lovely - even the Dyson C35 would rip out the threads and so that rug could only get a shake. The Shark is particularly good on carpets, with a brush head that quickly maneuvers into those awkward areas and wide enough to get the job done quickly and it can be emptied with ease. The Shark is robust, easy to use, in fact I'd say a delight to use. I'm just so pleased that I took the plunge and bought a Shark. Sounds corny, but it's true !!

As I recently received a stick vacuum and had my opinions changed, I was quite eager to give this one a go.This is a 2 in 1 stick vacuum which means it can be handheld, which is good for cars and getting into those small areas or it can have the motor head and stick added to it to make it an upright vacuum which makes it easy to clean floors, carpets etc.One thing I love about this is that hair doesn't tangle in the motor head - the brush keeps spinning and untangles whatever is starting to get stuck. The suction combined with the motor head is very strong - it also helps to get rid of the small bits and pieces that are stuck in carpets due to how the brushes rolls - it provides a much better cleaning experience than other vacuums. When turning it on,the LED lights will also pop up. This indicates how much charge is left in the vacuum. The battery is very good - I can easily give the entire house a vacuum before it needs a charge. It is very easy to clean - detaches and the dirt be dumped straight into the bin. This can also be washed with water but best to leave it to dry before re-attaching it back onto the vacuum for safety purposes.Due to how the hose bends, this can be made smaller which saves quite a lot of room. Coupled with how small the handheld unit is, storage will never be an issue. It wasn't as noisy as I expected it to be - this noise is bearable and is less noisier than canister vacuums which is nice.I prefer using this over a canister vacuum now due to how light it can be and ease of portability.Overall, this is a really versatile vacuum that has powerful suction, makes less noise than others and is easy to store away.If this was helpful, please tap that helpful button below - Cheers!

I bought this model last week and couldn’t wait to get it charged up and use it. So far, I’ve vacuumed my entire house and the interior of my car with this vacuum cleaner and I’m so impressed. The vacuum cleaner itself has some great features - being able to clean under the sofas without having to move anything is incredible and the headlights mean you can still see if you’ve cleaned every area under the sofa. It is also extremely quiet compared to my old vacuum cleaner from another leading brand, it’s also very light and easy to manoeuvre - so much so that I was certain the suction wasn’t working and it wasn’t actually vacuuming at all...it definitely was as the carpets and wooden flooring have never looked so clean and it was full of dirt at the end. The different attachments make it easy to use for vacuuming the stairs and car interior too. I live in a 2 bed house and a full charge allows me to do the entire house and give my car a quick vacuum too. Also very happy that I can remove the battery pack and charge it separately rather than having to plug in the entire vacuum as the vacuum can stay in the cupboard this way and it’s just much tidier and convenient. The anti hair wrap function is great - especially when it’s me and my friend living together with very long hair which I was constantly cutting off the rollers of my previous vacuum. Very pleased I picked this Shark model and didn’t upgrade from the other leading brand I have always bought from previously.

After spending a few weeks using my new Shark I can safely say that this is the best cordless vacuum available on the market. I purchased my last cordless vacuum based on a Which recommendation (and the fact it looks like a lightsabre). Big mistake. While it looked great, it wasn’t up to the job moving from hard floors to carpets and kept cutting out once the filter was covered in fluff and the battery lasted no more than 20 minutes. My wife was so annoyed by its lacklustre performance I had to get rid of it and get the Shark. The Shark is a little noisier than other cordless handheld vacuums I’ve owned but it’s a small price to pay for working so well and it’s effortless on both hard floor and carpets. The battery lasts as long as advertised as I found that unlike other brands. I didn’t need to use the turbo mode that much because it was doing such a good job. Also, it goes for much longer without needing to empty the dust collector. I would have liked a wall mount, but actually folding in half (and looking like a cute little robot) means it takes up a much smaller space – very clever.

This is a brilliant Vaccum and really well designed. There are a number of features that a really well thought out and make it very easy to use- Lights - the vacuum head has lights on it which apart from looking cool, is really helpful. It picks up spots of dust and rubbish that you might otherwise miss. - Folding stick - the main stick folds, this is great for storage and also for reaching underneath the sofa (for example) - The canister - it empties in the right direct. I own another cordless vacuum which has a dust canister that's awkward to remove. The canister on the Shark empites in the right direction when you're holding it over the bin. results in less spillage. - Battery - the battery is removeable, meaning you can charge it up in a small space, away from the main body of the vacuum. This is really flexible and helps with storage. - Storage - the vacuum folds down to a small size, it's realyl easy to store away. Overall, I'd say it's a great vacuum that you can't go wrong with. The suction power is also cracking! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Had this for about a week now after having a corded Dyson DC40 for 5 years. This is so much lighter and so convenient that I have vacuumed the downstairs of my house every morning so far (I have two very young children who leave crumbs everywhere!). Even when giving my 4 bed house a quick vacuum in every room, the battery lasts and I have enough powere for several quicker cleans. The battery is easy to charge, I just slide it out and plug it in on my kitchen worktop. It's easy to empty; just take the handheld part of the vacuum off and then slide the button to open the bin.As other reviewers have mentioned, the anti-hair wrap feature is not perfect. The brush has jammed a couple of time because of hair wrapped around it,but as other vacuums can't prevent this, I wasn't deterred. My 3 year old daughter loves it too, as I can remove one tube and turn it into a mini upright for her to use (extra cleaning - bonus!)!Our low pile carpet gets brushed by this vacuum, which no other vacuum has ever managed. I almost have vacuum stripes!

This is my first cordless vacuum. Very impressed with this product overall. Easy to handle and not heavy. i have arthritis in my thumb and was worried it may agravate it but not at all. Brilliant for under beds, sofas etc. My criticism is the lack of a good stair accessory for this machine. I purchased the anti-hair wrap pet tool which is recommended for stairs, at an additional cost but returned it as what I received in no way matched the product description. It specifies a motorised bristle brush roller which pulls up hair from within the carpet pile but there were no bristles, only rubber fins. The hair on the stairs was just pushed around and not pulled up at all. It was ineffective and pretty much useless.I would have reviewed the tool separately so as not to bring down the rating for the vacuum but was not given this option. I was offered no suitable alternative so am left having to clean the stairs with the main vacuum head which is heavy and unwieldy. Now I have to but a separate stair vacuum.

I've been wanting a cordless hoover for what feels like forever. I had an industrial kartcher thats been going strong for many years, big and bulky. Its always worked well so it didn't seem important to get a new hoover.I finally took the plunge and bought the shark which has been recommended to me by many.I'm so happy with it. To me it feels like a feather compared to my old hoover. It's very straightforward, easy to use and assemble. It moves smoothly and honestly I wasn't sure if it very powerful at first but the proof was in the dirt that was collected. I didn't realise how dirty my carpets actually were!I wasn't bothered by the anti wrap hair function but as someone with very long hair that malts constantly,a long haired cat and a daughter I was used to forever cleaning hair out of the hoover. I noticed the difference in the shark straight away. No trapped hair at all.The battery is more then sufficient to do the whole house.I would definitely recommend this product.

More than happy with my purchase although I haven’t yet used it to its full extent - all the attachments. I have just used the basic cleaner and have found it great for all carpets and hard floors, so easy to change between the two. Also love the anti hair wrap as always had to cut the hair from my old vacuum. I have found a little bit of the hair does get wrapped however, which has to be pulled out at the end of a clean. The battery life is good, managing to do our whole house on a single charge. Am also happy with the power and how easy it is to take apart and empty. It is also very easy to manoeuvre around things/furniture and the light is extremely helpful (if a little scary how much wasmissed without it!)Now to the negative - I personally find it very top heavy with the dust box at the handle end while vacuuming - this also means that you cannot stand it up on its own but it can obviously be folded down very easily. A minor negative but which stops me giving 5 stars

This vacuum arrived extremely quickly with good notifications regarding delivery. The machine was easy to assemble as I was helped by my 6yr old son who pretty much unpacked and put it all together. The bag to hold additional tools was a nice touch. The inbuilt battery was already part charged so we could test the machine straight away.It was lightweight, compact size for storage And I love the flat position option for getting under furniture. Having carpet and hard floor settings is perfect and allows me to move between rooms and surfaces without fuss. This is my first cordless vacuum and it’s been a revelation! No more unplugging and moving when the cord limit is reached!Removing the handheld section is perfect for hard to reach places, stairs, car etc and offers huge versatility.I am very happy with this machine and love the intuitive design elements that shark incorporated. This vacuum does pick up most of the cat hairs and they are not wrapped round the roller like other vacuums, well maybe just a bit but I do have a long haired cat. However, I didn`t give it five stars for two reasons. Firstly it leaves a line of hair when you stop, see photos. I then have to go over these lines with a handheld which isn`t cut out for it. And secondly the trigger has to be held on by finger for full power, as I want full power all the time I have had to tie wrap it on, see photo. Oh and it is heavy but I don`t mind this too much as it`s a bit of a `work out` but as I get older ( I am almost a pensioner ) then I will struggle with it`s weight especially on the stairs.I am glad i bought it though, my old vacuum was useless at the cat hairs and I spent more time trying to get them off the roller afterwards than actually vacuuming.

This cordless vacuum is a game changer! I've always hated the rigamarole of plugging in a vacuum, lugging a large vacuum upstairs, then having to find another plug socket. This vacuum makes cleaning so much easier - almost enjoyable! It is very manoeuvrable and adaptable and the light is a great feature. Easy to vacuum under beds, do stairs, under tables etc. With two young kids we are cleaning under the kitchen table every day and this vacuum makes that so much easier! The battery lasts a lot longer that the previous Shark, meaning we can clean the whole house with one charge. We needed two batteries with the previous model. It's much easier to empty and clean the filters too.Only feature I am missing, versus the earlier model, is the handle when the vacuum is folded. That made the previous Shark easier to carry around.

I am so impressed with this vacuum. I’ve had a Dyson DC44 for 5 years now and it just wasn’t doing the job anymore so I asked around and Shark was by far the most recommended brand. The suction is incredible and it almost pulls itself along on the carpets. On the hard wood floors we had problems with the Dyson propelling Rice Krispies across the floor when we tried to vacuum them up but the Shark has no problem sucking them up with one sweep. I will say it is heavier than the the DC44 and I find the shape slightly more awkward when using on the stairs but I’m willing to get used to that in exchange for the higher build quality and improvement in power. It’s also a lot quieter than I was expecting and I love how it folds and stands on its own for storage. I thoroughly recommend this vacuum and it’s an amazing price on sale!
