First off, this was provided to me as a free unit to provide an honest review. On unboxing the unit, it was bigger than I was expecting. This is more of an upright vacuum replacement than a portable cordless unit. That said, it isn't overly large, and does fold in half which really aids storage. It is also surprisingly stable when folded.Suction is good and it does pick up dirt and debris well, with settings for carpet, hard floors, and boost button. Without the boost button there is plenty of power. The head unit is larger than expected but does come with a brush bar, lights (which are really useful for seeing the dirt and debris), and another roller designed to pick up hair and stop the main brush getting tangled. On the whole, this does work. I am normally having to stop and de-tangle hair as I go along, which so far with this unit, I haven't had to do. There is still some hair in the main brush bar, but no where near as much as I expected based on other vacuums used. The tube down to the Motörhead does fold in half. One reason is for storage, as mentioned. The other is to allow you to get under furniture, and this is a really good idea. Its much easier than having to bend right down to use the vacuum horizontally, and once you've tried this, you'll wonder how you coped. This comes with two batteries, which is a great feature. I use this as a second vacuum rather than the main one, and even after a number of uses, the first battery still has about 50% charge. Even if you don't use it enough to require a second battery, it will come into its own a year or two down the line when the first battery doesn't hold a full charge - it effectively lengthens the life of the product which is a real positive. The downside of the unit being a little larger is when using the pointy tool to get cobwebs off the ceiling (I live in an old house and they appear overnight). It is a bit heavier to hold above head height. The dust bin is a good size. It's large enough to mean you don't need to empty it every 5 minutes, but not too large as to make the vacuum too big.Overall, this is a good vacuum. It isn't cheap, but its similarly priced to its key competition, and does a good job. You will appreciate the anti tangle head if you have long hair that tends to fall out as mine does.Recommended. A bit cheaper would get it 5 stars.

I have always had a cordless Dyson but found that it was always tangled with hair so the Shark seemed like the ideal solution. First the cons! It's good that the whole vacuum folds into half so it's compact but it would have been great if there was a facility to hang it on the wall with the battery charging unit. On the model I've bought, the charging unit is totally separate from the vacuum. Some may find that a plus but it does mean you have to remember to remove the battery and put it in the charger rather than just docking it and it begins to charge. The second con is that it really doesn't seem as powerful as the Dyson (I have the latest model). I need to test it a bit further before really knowing if that's the case.A big con is the price difference between the one battery model and the two battery. I honestly don't believe that there should be such a price hike for having two batteries and this is a consideration that may put people off from buying this particular model. Things I really like though are the fact that you switch it on and it stays on - no need to hold down a trigger all the time. The trigger is only used if you want extra power to the Shark. The buttons to switch between carpet and hard floor are really easy to understand as well. There's a light built into the front of the unit so you can see where you're vacuuming. I'm not sure how helpful it is unless you're vacuuming under something but it's a nice to have. The Shark is a typical weight and very manouvreable and the buttons to remove the unit to empty are much less stiff than the Dyson (again a really good point if you struggle with arthritis etc). Having two batteries is a major major major plus! I don't believe any of the Dysons have this feature so that, together with the anti-hair wrap means this is a really good vacuum. Overall, I would have been more impressed if it had more power but it is still a very good machine.

Bought this for my tiled flooring which is most of my downstairs. It’s a fab little hoover. The main thing I like is it comes with two batteries so one is always on charge and the other running the machine. This comes with a whole set of tools from stairs to blinds. It also has the long one which is the only thing I have ever found that will clean my old school radiators. It has two rollers, one for hard floors and a second which comes on with the flick of a switch for carpets. like the wired machines it still has the shark lights on the front which is great if you are hoovering in a dark area. It also has a boost switch on the handle so if you need more power you just have to pull the switch up and it doubles the power.Emptying the machine is super easy, just press a switch and the waste drum comes of. Press another switch when it’s in the bin and the bottom opens. No need to get your hands dirty as it empty’s itself. The handle folds down for really easy storage and will stand up itself. The major downsides for this machine is when the handle is up in the use position, it won’t stand up on its own. It has to be propped up against a work surface or a wall. The other downside is it’s quite heavy. I have used other cordless machines which aren’t as heavy as this but it’s still well worth the money. I would totally recommend this machine. I also have the shark wired hoover which is a fantastic machine too. I switched over to shark from years of buying Dyson and I find them so much better.

My first impressions of the Hoover is sleek, modern and aesthetically pleasing. It is all round, a wonderful piece a kit. I wasn't sure about it as I only recently heard of the brand a few years ago, but I was pleasantly surprised. The power is remarkable on all surfaces. It offers two settings, both allow excellent retention for your desired floor, whether that be carpet, wooden or laminate flooring. The mechanics of the design allow for smooth rolling and flexibility to get into every corner of an ever changing living quarter. It turns into a hand held device and comes every some great accessories to adapt to different surfaces. It's great for in between the sofa and even the bed sheets. It comes with two batteries, so when one finishes, you can easily swap it out. The battery life is itself, it quite impressive. You may find yourself empting out the contents often; however this is expected considering it is a cordless machine. The weight is slightly heavy, this makes it tiresome after sometime, although it helps with Hoovering. The hair catching feature is one the best things about the hoover as I never really got that from any other previous one I've owned. So, all in all, I'm really happy with the product and I have my guests jealous, so much that they even offer to do some chores (hoovering) when they are round! I’ve had my Shark for a few weeks now and I am not disappointed. I’ve considered buying a shark hoover for some time as I was fed up of my previous heavy, corded hoover but I was unsure which brand or model to go for. I decided on the Shark Cordless and am so glad I took the plunge! I love it! It’s so light and easy to clean with. I like the fact I can move from room to room without worrying about the cord. It’s powerful and cleans both carpets and wooden floors with ease. I like that it converts to hand held easily. I ordered the twin battery and these are charged in their own stand or in the hoover itself. It comes with different attachments in a little storage bag. The best bit.....anti hair wrap.I have to say I read other reviews and was a bit sceptical about the rollers being hair free but they are! This was an issue with my previous hoover but with my Shark the rollers are clear - no hair to cut away. Wonderful! It fits nicely in my cupboard as it’s so compact. I never thought i would say this but I can’t wait to hoover now. It’s compact, powerful, looks nice and is easy to use. I’m considering buying the car cleaning kit now so that my car can be as clean as my house. I’ve even named her, she’s called Sheila! Thank you Shark I highly recommend.

Assembly was straightforward; as well as a quick start and a more detailed guide, the unit itself has a number of (detachable) yellow stickers with instructions on how to use it. Two battery packs are included, which means that one can be charging while you use the other one, so you're never stuck waiting for a charge to finish. The charging unit allows you to charge both units at once, and the first time charge took approximately one hour to complete. The unit comes with a good array of different attachments, making it easy to clean stairs, upholstery or tight corners. The main unit is very flexible and lightweight, and has a light attached, making it easy to clean under low surfaces (e.g.under a sofa). The cleaner folds down for compact storage, and also comes with a handy bag for keeping all of the attachments in one place).Last (but definitely not least) I gave the unit a test run on a particularly dirty carpet with dust, cat hair etc. & some very dusty wooden stairs, and it did a really good job; suction power was good, and there's a "suction boost" button for persistent stuff.Overall I'm really pleased with this; the only downside is the price, but if you can tolerate that it's an excellent product.

I used this today in 3 different houses providing different environments, I normally use a Dyson v7 animal ,suction even on low is superb with its brush head making light work of even pet hair, carpet and hard floor on low power where also above what I expected ,so all in all even on low power it's a very capable machine .Battery life with mixed power use boost high and low as around the 35 min mark not bad at all .The bad points that I dont like , it does not clean edge to edge due to the way the heads shaped, its abit awkward to get used to and it's quite heavy and the bin isn't as good as the Dyson. On the whole it's a superb machine beating my Dyson v7 animal on all areas except edge to edge, there very close on pick up of pet hair from long hair dogs and labs,to hard floors the shark wins hands down ,also how deep it get in carpet pile the shark wins battery life is about the same at 35 to 40 mins of mixed use .To be honest I love both the dyson and the shark both have there good points but if you have dogs or long haired cats the shark is the best .ohh the anti hair wrap works well to .I got the 2 battery option and found it perfect to clean 3 houses, I like it alot .

I was looking for the new model shark. My old cordless duo works fine but I was looking for the new anti hair wrap technology and the up to 80 minutes usage would be a bonus as we have a 3 storey large house. We ordered purple which is navy blue not purple. The Biggest down side for me is the control panel my last duo when you switched it on seemed more powerful and appeared to Hoover for you and pull you along! It was a press button for higher power. This new model has a trigger which you have to hold or it goes off. I am small with small hands with mild arthritis and I found this troublesome. My husband had to make a a cable tie that I can push to hold the trigger in place. With saying all that it really lifted the pile and the larger drum for the dirt is a lot better. The delivery was super quick. The colour choice was red or purple and I think I would have chose red if I’d known it was blue and not purple. I would recommend this and would recommend the cable tie if you don’t want to keep your finger on the trigger, especially if you have a large house with 3 floors! Having used another brand of corded vacuum for over 20yrs I am wondering why I waited so long to switch to a cordless Shark! It has not only great suction ( a choice of three options - hard floor, carpet and a boost to choose from), but it is very light and manoeuvrable. The battery has a great life, and being supplied with two means that you always have one to hand that is charged. It has a number of tools that come with the Shark that are really useful to get into the small nooks and crannies in your house - and car. It folds in half when not in use so its easy to store - and the headlights are a useful addition as it goes really easily under furniture so you can see what you are vacuuming up which has previously been more challenging. All this and its quiet - so now there is no excuse not to have clean floors even when my daughters alseep! I love it and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this cleaner to others. Go on do yourself a favour and get a Shark Cordless stick vacuum cleaner.

after seeing so many people use sharks and everyone recommend them to me I am overly impressed.once out the box it is very easy to set up and off you go in 5 minutes it is very powerful for a cordless hoover but I also feel a corded one may be more powerful (yet to try one to compare) the shark picked up so much dirt from the first hoover I did and I only hoovered that morning with my normal hoover I love how it is bagless and you can jst empty it out into the bin.it is very handy having 2 battery's as you always have a charge instantly to plug in (just remember to always keep one in charge) I love how it has little lights at the front as it shows up dirt you can't always see and the fold downmechanism so you can get under beds and sofas without getting on the floor is so handy this is now my hoover I quickly grab and go around the house without getting into a major sweat and it leaves perfect results [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I absolutely LOVE this hoover! I was unsure when I first got it out the box... wondered how to store it as it doesn't stand up on its own but on reading the instructions I worked out how to use the flexology so that the hoover collapses down and becomes so tiny, I honestly think you could fit it in a kitchen cupboard! Perfect for small houses, flats and studios a like. The hoover is so easy to use and navigate between carpeted and hard floors; with my previous hoover I used to have to turn it off to go between the two whereas this is just a quick button. I was also surprised at how much the hoover had suctioned up given that I had hoovered the day before! You would expect the hoover to be heavy but infact once switched on and moving it is like a feather in your hand. The pile in my carpets has also come up beautifully. All my family now want one of these!!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I have been kindly gifted this Shark anti hair wrap cordless vacuum to test and review. After using this for over a week now, I have found this easier to use then my rose gold upright due to not having to plug it in and having cables everywhere. The power of this vacuum is second to none and the battery life on one block is incredible. I haven't had to charge it yet! even using the extra power mode. With regards to the anti hair wrap technology, I have not had to pick out any hair from the rollers! I have two very hairy pugs and I have long-ish hair so we all shed in this house! this shark has no issues with that which suprised me!I would 100% recommend this to anyone after a new vacuum or a second one for a quick whizz around although this may now become my main shark to clean with! I have had every make of vacuum some good some awful but not one that I could title as great, until now.I love the cleaner, pleasure to use goes from hard floors to carpet in an instance grabbing all dirt, bits & anything else with no effort at all.Love dual battery pack, gives you loads of cleaning time, folds up to nothing if takes hardly any room in the cupboard. If I have a gun to my head and had to find something I would say it is a LITTLE heavier than some vacuums but nothing that makes me need muscles like Arnie, but vacuuming now takes minutes whereby before with others I needed to go over floors quite a few times or bend and pick up what the vacuum turned its nose up too.Price I paid was fab,so from this you know I have not been given this machine to try out I put it with my own cash and every penny was well spent.

If it lasts as long as the Dyson DC44 that I bought it to replace I will be very impressed although I somewhat doubt it. Although being a brilliant concept to be able to stand up on its own,I feel the mechanism and the button where the unit folds seem a little flimsy and weak and will probably not stand the test of time. I would also prefer the boost trigger to be in the form of a switch as I like to use the machine on full power constantly and it is annoying having to pull said trigger up permanently. Having said that, the battery times are good and it is a plus being able to change them (would probably be better if you could turn off the pointless lights). Suction is good and contrary to reviews I read before purchase, the anti hair- wrap system seems to work well. It is a fairly well balanced machine and is not too noisy.

I was a little skeptical about having a cordless stick vacuum as previously I always had corded uprights. I was worried that the power wouldn't be as strong... How wrong was I!! This vacuum is so compact and folds away so I can store under the stairs but still has a suction better than anything I've had before! The pile on my carpet stands right up, bringing the carpet right back to life. I love the twin batteries, enough to vacuum my house but then the spare battery means I can keep going and get out to vacuum my car too! The little accessory bag is a nice touch too. Previously I had to keep my accessories in a supermarket bag or attach them to my vac which made it even heavier! This is a nice branded Shark bag to keep all of the accessories tucked away neatly.
