On initial inspection, all parts and accessories are made to an extremely high quality and the feel you get is premium. The vacuum looks incredibly slick and slim compared to previous models and this immediately gives you the impression that it is going to be light which is most definitely the case. The vacuum holder is light, strong and durable and easy to fix to a wall which makes it all look neat and premium. A nice feature is the accessory attachment points which help tidy things away. There are plenty of included accessories which will enable great access to areas which may have been problematic to some users but these tools can reach 100% of the areas around the house so I'm very happy with all the tools that came included.A nice touch I think would be for these tools to have an included storage bag as the vacuum holder only allows for 2 attachments.I initially drained the battery and allowed it to charge for a 24 hour period then allowed it to run on the lowest setting which it ran for 67 minutes and 36 seconds which is phenomenal and longer than the official stated time. Obviously the higher setting reduces the run time but not by a large amount of time. I did forget to write the time down and accidently set my timer to reset and the last running time on the medium seeing I saw was 38 mins which is very good as it do go longer than this. When I get the time I will retest and amend this profile. The trigger operation is extremely smooth and it is operated with no effort at all as the balance of the machine gives a very nice centre of gravity which puts your trigger finger in the most optimum position and makes holding the vacuum for a long time very easy. I do think that if anyone doubts they would be able to hold this I can definitely say this won't be the case as it's an extremely well balanced machine. The collection tank has a greater tank volume than previous models but at the same time is very sleek and slim so it looks great and emptying the tank is very easy to do and can be completely emptied without coming into contact with any of the contents. The tank is also very easy to remove, clean and wash which is exactly the same as the filter. It's easy to remove and was so another great point there. The vacuum comes with a hard floor cleaner and a carpet cleaner. The hard floor cleaner is great for getting right up to wall and furniture edges with 100% suction so this is everything that you would want in a vacuum. It definitely cleans better than previous vacuums I've had for cleaning hard floors.I've not been able to test the carpet attachment thoroughly yet on a fitted carpet so I've just used it on a deep pile rug and this was incredible for removing dirt that other vacuums couldn't pick up.The motor noise has been dramatically reduced even to the point that my dog would go crazy when I used previous Dyson vacuums to just showing an interest for a few seconds then walking away. This is a very significant point as you can use the vacuum but still talk normal and also hear music, doorbells etc. This is an exemplary vacuum cleaner that I would most definitely buy but as I was given this vacuum to test I am extremely greatful to Dyson for allowing me this opportunity. The only personal negative for me is the colour of the main cleaning tube. It is a copper orange colour which is not to my taste but it would never stop me from buying this vacuum as it's function more than aesthetics for me.This is a top quality vacuum from Dyson and I'd confidently say will be the world No.1 cordless vacuum.

I have a Dyson canister vacuum that I bought somewhere around 2002...and it still works a treat. Unfortunately, not so much me!! Due to chronic health issues, I find it difficult, if not impossible to bend and manouevre as that machine requires. I also have a Dyson handheld that is slightly newer and it works well too. It has been a big help. But the battery really doesn't last.Much as I love Dyson, I was concerned about the battery on the new V8 Absolute lasting the course and dealing with the ingrained dust you get in the countryside as well as the cat hair that abounds. The battery, too, on this new model has been upgraded. In doing research on the V10, I noticed a number of comments about the charge not lasting long enough.I have to say, I didn't find that at all. I live in a rather large, 2-bed cottage loaded with old beams (which also means loaded with cobwebs) and carpeted throughout with the exception of the kitchen and utility room (brick floors) and one of the bathrooms (lino). Let's start at the beginning. Slightly daunted upon opening the box, and trying to figure out what was what and which went where, when I took a good look at the manual, I saw it was all in pictures. Whilst at first a bit startled that there was virtually nothing to read, I quickly realised how much better this was. It showed pretty much everything I needed to see. Having other Dyson products helped me to understand the clicking mechanism for adding and removing parts. It's just all so easy. The dust collector is a decent size and easy to use, with almost no mess. Then came the true test. I remember way back when I got my first Dyson, having hoovered the house the day before, I was astounded at what it picked up that my old hoover didn't. It was the same this time. First time out, I used the normal tool and opted for the Max setting. The carpets looked cleaner than they have in a very long time. The cobwebs were a doddle with the long tube and accessory and the kitchen floor was better too. The Dyson sucked everything up from the grooves in the brick. At about that time, it gave up and needed a re-charge. I probably got 15 minutes of serious cleaning done, though. The next day, I started again...but used the medium setting. I cleaned two bedrooms, the kitchen again, used the small brush tool to dust furniture, the bathrooms and the utility room...and I still had two bars of power left. Even on medium, it did a superlative job. And it saved a lot of battery power. I would suggest that anyone using this for the first time gives it a good 'max' setting clean. Thereafter, unless there has been an unusual build-up of dust, hair etc, the medium setting is ideal.I also love that it is slim and flexible enough to vacuum under furniture and into corners. The only two slight niggles I have are that 1. You have to keep your hand pressing the button to keep the machine running. When you lift it off, it stops. I understand that having it configured this way does conserve battery power as it automatically shuts off when you remove your finger, but it does get a bit tiresome and the hand begins to ache a bit.And2. The release mechanism for clearing the dust collector is a bit sticky and tricky. But, in the scheme of things, these are really minor issues. Overall, this is a blindingly good machine. I know it is expensive but you do get what you pay for, and if you want the best...in my opinion, this is it.

We live in a 3 storey house, with 2 sets of stairs and for the past 2 years we have been using a Dyson Big Ball Animal cylinder vacuum cleaner. Over this time it has performed excellently but we live in a 3 storey house that has 2 sets of stairs, and lugging it up and down the stairs has become a bit of an issue, with it almost falling on us a couple of times when we're cleaning the stairs. We had seen the advertisements for the Dyson Cyclone V10 cordless vacuum and, even though we were unconvinced by the claims that it is as powerful as a corded vacuum, decided to try it anyway. It arrived last week, and in this time we have used it in various scenarios such as cleaning the entire house (living room, kitchen, 1 downstairs toilet, 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 sets of stairs) and cars.I have to say that even when taking delivery I was unconvinced that the unit was going to be able to tackle the entire house in one go - having seen some reviews that claim battery life is poor I wasn't expecting it to manage the entire house in one go. On first use through the house I used it on low power, using the motorised head on the carpeted floors, the mini motorised head on the stairs and the motorised soft brush bar head on the hard and tiled floors. Using this setting it managed to clean the whole house and only drop one bar, which was definitely more than I expected. Even better was the fact that even though I used it on low power it still managed to pick up all the cat hairs from the furniture and the carpets with ease and knowing that there is still spare juice left in the tank I think nothing of using a higher power setting for stubborn areas but for the most part I can easily get away with using low power. The build of the unit and the accompanying tools is excellent - as should be expected for the rather high price tag. It is lighter than I was expecting, and it is very comfortable to use, although the starter trigger is extremely sensitive and I find myself pressing it and starting it up when I don't want to, such as when emptying the bin, but I think that over time I will find a better way to hold it as I empty it to stop this from happening.Bin size for such a small unit is sufficient, but even in our moderately sized house I would need to empty it twice during use. Not too much of an issue, given the added convenience of not having to worry about cords. Overall I think this unit is excellent. So much so that it is now going to be come our only vacuum cleaner, and is going to replace our corded cylinder vacuum and handheld cleaners. The only reservation I have is that the battery is non-removable, and this means that when it does eventually deteriorate (hopefully after a number of years) the entire machine will need to be replaced. I hope to get many years of service from this, but time will tell.

Pro's: No cord! Rollerball head means easily gets into tight spaces at an angle (you dont have to position yourself in order for the vacuum to go in straight). Light weight. Unblocking & attachment/detachment of tool heads very easy with bright colours & graphics on the machine at points where you detach/attach & at the main blocking points (refreshingly simple & short instruction manual too!) Every tool head can fit onto the machine directly without the need for the wand meaning easily adaptable to a hand-held (like holding a drill) device for stairs, cars, sofa's, table top crumbs, etc. Cons: Requires re-charging before completed vacuuming (but I have a large 7 bedroom house & use the middlepower as the low power is too gentle & you need to go over the same bit of carpet twice to pick up. So I get about 30 mins vacuuming in one go. But I dont mind having a break from vacuuming for 3 hours whilst I get on with other cleaning) Bin requires emptying frequently (but again, large house & I tend to have one massive cleaning sesh every 2-3 weeks & have a dog who moults) . The emptying lever which you push to open the bin end & eject the contents sometimes gets stuck & you have to really push & pull it to ease the mechanism (this is annoying but probably not helped by letting the bin over-fill. Washing out the bin every so often helps.) You sometimes have to get your hand into the bin to get every last bit of dust & hair out (the ejection system isnt powerful enough to shoot every last bit of dust, etc into bin so not great for asthmatics if having to manually remove dirt from bottom of bin). The weight of the vacuum with wand & tool attached seems quite heavy for the recharging mount on the wall - I replace carefully. But overall the Dyson V10 (& I would go for the middle priced Absolut as I have easily used all tool heads but wouldnt use the extra tools in the most expensive) has TRANSFORMED the way & frequency of my vacuuming i.e. I vacuum quickly & easily on a daily basis if required (kitchen floor crumbs, xmas tree pine needles, dog hair) & it is so lovely not to have to hoist my previous very heavy vacuum out, unwind the cord, push & pull this heavy machine around whilst trying to avoid running over the cord then lugging the whole thing upstairs (3 flights) having to unplug & plug in again. I have a cleaner house as a result & vacuuming is actually a joy!

Our Dyson V10 has been purchased mainly because of the downstairs floor change from carpet to laminate. The V10 is very good and quick on this type of surface as the maximum suction is not required to do the job and the mechanical brush helps a lot. However when you want to use it on carpets (medium thick or thick) and additionally someone in your household has long hair plus maybe you have a pet, then the hoovering experience is different. There is a dedicated mechanical brush for the carpets, which is brilliant and very effective but:- The battery goes quickly when you do your carpeted stairs and floors- The weight of the hoover is considerable, especially when you have to do stairs with small mechanical brush directly attached to your V10 (with no pipe)As a result, full battery in our case is just enough to do stairs, small landing and 3 small bedrooms. Also, the amount of dust and hair collected is unbelievable (emptied after every bedroom)! The other potential usage is to vacuum your car. I have tried it and it was good only when small mechanical brush was used (probably on the seats only). The car’s floor and other less accessible areas you have to rely on V10 suction power, which is not enough on mid setting. On max setting it is just enough but the battery dies within 5-7 minutes so I had to use my old corded vacuum to finish my car job.Overall, we are definitely very happy with the purchase of this product only because we knew on what sort of floors it is going to be used. If I had both floors in the house carpeted I would stay with my good corded vacuum for pets as I couldn’t finish ground floor and second floor carpets on single battery.Currently the laminated floor is being vacuumed at least once a day as all particles and hair are more visible on the hard floor. But this is a quick 5-10 minutes job by taking V10 from charging point (location of this point is also important), quick vacuuming and putting this back on the charger. This is where Dyson is a winner when compared with any other corded vacuum. My personal advice for those who have all hard floors or at least half of the area is to go for Dyson V10 or V8 or even V11. These who love carpets and always want clean floors or want to use this for your cars – you will struggle with cordless in general.

I got this for my partner who has pretty high standards and is above all pragmatic and practical individual gadgets and fads do not cut the mustard for her.I did not give five stars as we are still getting used to it but a month in really cannot say it was a bad buy. ( Impressions to date.)The standard of build is good, yes the fittings are made from plastic but so are those for almost every hoover but they fit together well and work as they are meant to, the range of fittings is good and it makes for a very adaptable cleaner. For example, it is useful for cleaning the car no leads, no hose straight to the point of use and when finished it is hung up in seconds, same around the house it certainly saves time. The cylinder has to be emptied every 2-3 days but this is easy when you get used to it and presents no problem, we have not as yet washed the filter but do not anticipate major problems it is easy to access.Battery life on medium setting is good and suction is good, this is powerful enough for most jobs, full power is seldom required. The system charges very quickly and discharging it completely now and again is recommended as with most battery powered devices. No second battery, well most devices do not provide one, my cameras didn't provide a reserve.Using the hoover is not an effort some folks have said in the 1-2 star reviews that you have to hold the trigger on whilst in use, this is true but it is hardly a labourious task in itself, it does not require much effort, none in fact. Moving from room to room is easy and not having a hoover in tow bumping into things is a surprisingly pleasant liberating feeling.Becoming blocked, we have not had that experience as yet, we have two dogs in the house so hairs to be lifted from the floors ( hardwood and tiles) on a daily basis - lifts them all, wet trap mats - hoovers them up no problem, carpet upstairs likewise no problems.Getting under tables and chairs etc - also no problems the heads are fully adjustable and easy to use.Prices no doubt will come down but I decided to buy the most powerful Dyson as it made sense rather than a medium range one.No regrets in buying this one.

This new Dyson Cyclone v10 Absolute is excellent in every way. It comes with lots of different tools that simply click onto and off the hand held suction wand. These are more than capable of tackling a variety of jobs. It really couldn’t be any easier to use as the v10 is very light and easy to handle with amazing versatility. The battery, when fully charged, provides enough power for 60 minutes of use and this power does not diminish as the battery discharges. There are 3 power settings available depending on the vacuuming job required. The battery has charging lights on it so it is cear to see where the power level is up to during charging. It takes about 3 to 4 hours to fully charge up.This is my first experience of a cordless vacuum. I have to say that it makes a huge difference as it is so easy & quick to move around the house without a wire getting tangled or caught up. The vacuum glides effortlessly over hard floors and carpets and the interchangeable swivel heads designed for different floor surfaces make the job so much easier. I love the fact that it can be used as a hand held cleaner so cleaning the stairs, inside the car, hard to reach spaces and other small areas is an absolute doddle. When it comes to emptying the dust chamber again this could not be simpler. Release the appropriate lever and the chamber pops open allowing the debris to drop out. The see-through chamber makes it easy to see when it needs emptying. The powerful suction removes a surprising amount of dust and fluff, far more than my previous model and this is a big plus for me. I was amazed at the debris it lifted from my 'clean' carpets! The vacuum is easy to store as it is not nearly as bulky or heavy as traditional vacuum cleaners. I’m not using the docking station at the moment but I hope to do this at some point. The v10 is powerful, fast and super efficient and it takes the chore out of vacuuming saving my time and energy for other things. I would certainly recommend this cleaner.

This is the first time I've used a Dyson cordless vacuum and I'm impressed. I have had other cordless vacuums and I've been impressed with those in terms of ease of use and suction but once I tried the Dyson, it definitely has more power. I have a dog and the Absolute V10 picked up dog hair easily. I thought my carpets were clean with the other vacuums but when I used the Dyson, they visibly made my carpet look cleaner. I also have long hair and the Dyson picked this up without a problem which I've never had from any hoover including an upright Dyson that I once borrowed. I usually spend ages with a hacksaw having to manually scrape it up.There's 3 settings and all work well. The Max setting is great for picking up pieces of mud but it does zap the power a lot quicker so probably only last for 15 mins on this setting. I've used it to clean my white blinds and it just removed the tiniest dust particles - no more having to individually dust each blind slat! Heaven! On the down side, I thought the Dyson was a little heavy compared to other handhelds but it does hold quite a lot. I'd say not as much emptying but because it is so powerful, it picks up a lot more too!. The emptying is a bit difficult - having to push the slider forward whilst hanging over a bin and it can be a bit stiff until it suddenly opens but I think this may improve with practice The other annoyance is that you have to have the trigger depressed to vacuum which can make your finger ache. I thought it took a long time to charge compared to other vacuums but again, the difference in power is blatant so I expect this is the reason.Overall, I think it's the best cordless hoover I've tried. It easily sucks up pet and human hair, small stones and dust particles - the power of the thing is amazing! It comes with lots of attachments too which is useful. Sadly, I even enjoy the little whirring sound it makes each time you switch it off - very space like!

I’ve owned dyson upright hoovers since they first came out and am always impressed with how well they perform - brilliant at long hair/pet hair etc and getting all the carpets clean. However, I’ve always found them really heavy to lift/move about and stairs are always a bit of a workout/struggle so I thought I would give the V10 a try as it claims to be as powerful as an upright (this I was really sceptical about) and looked much easier to use. Well, I have to say that I am impressed!! I managed to do the whole house in half the time it normally takes me, the stairs (oh the dreaded stairs) were a doddle to do - no more balancing the extension hose and struggling to get into the corners/edges.The soft velvet floor tool made light work of my tiled floor/laminate too and again seemed to do a much better job than my upright!! Changing between tools was quick and easy too!! I was worried that the stated charge time wouldn’t be enough to get the job done but on the low setting (more than enough for me) and using the three different motorised heads for different areas, I got the whole job done and it had only lost one bar from the battery power!! (I generally give the house a whizz over every other day with having a dog and this is more than adequate for my needs) After using this, I can now say that cleaning is a joy rather than a pain and I don’t think my upright will be getting a workout anymore!! Ps If I had to pick any negative points then they would be the usual ones:- it’s still a little on the heavy side (my arm/hand was aching a little afterwards) and it’s expensive!! However, that said - it’s still much easier to use and so much lighter than pushing/lifting my upright around and when my upright was brand new, it was around the same price as this!!In summary, I’ve been converted and am really impressed with this machine - wish I’d bought one sooner!!

I bought this hoover as my old Dyson Animal cylinder vacuum has finally perished. This is a replacement for a corded vacuum. I have been using my old V6 Animal to clean up but the Dyson V10 is a much improved version in many ways. The suction is so much better and the run time is much longer. So far on the lower power mode I haven’t ran out of battery whilst hoovering the downstairs of my house. I have a large open plan tiled and wooden floored space and the V10 tackles the kids mess with no issues. The large roller head also hasn’t had hair tangled round it which was one of my issues with the V6. The bin is larger and easier to empty. I have 2 cats and a dog and with the pet attachment tool the V10 gets rid of any fur easily. The V6 was rubbish in this respect. The carpet head attachment is also great for the bedrooms and rugs and I was shocked by how much dust was suctioned on my first use. The only negatives are that you have to hold the trigger which in quite a large space can ache after a while but this conserves battery so it’s not really an issue. Battery life is better but I wouldn’t be able to do the whole house in one go. This isn’t an issue for me either as I tend to clean as I go and I would have to unplug a corded vacuum at least 3 or 4 times to hoover my whole house anyhow.Would highly recommend to any families with kids and pets. The v10 absolute has enough attachments and I don’t think it’s worth paying the extra £50 for the total for a couple more attachments. The absolute has everything you’d need including a duster attachment. What’s great is that you can use the long hose or attach directly to the bin like a hand held. Happy with my new Dyson and hopefully I won’t have any issues with it like I did the V6. I personally think it should have a 5 year guarantee for the price as well seeing as it’s a replacement for a xo

Many years ago, as a kid, I used to love vacuum cleaning, but with age the pleasure became a chore. It is easy to dismiss advertising claims about how much better cordless cleaning can be, but it is actually a surprise when moving around a home from room to room that the reflex is still there to pull on the hose, tug along the cylinder and finally unplug the cord at the other end. And this being no longer necessary is a very refreshing surprise that quite transforms the heavy work aspect of vacuuming. This makes cleaning faster, and then there‘s the marvellous beating head attachment, reminding me of the old Hoover ads on TV many years ago ’it beats as it sweeps as it cleans‘.With an ordinary vacuum cleaner brush you rely totally on the suction power and therefore need to use something of a scrubbing movement to lift dirt, going over the same area more than once. The Dyson V10 motorised Head seems to pick up dust fluff and bits of dirt much more effectively than our good quality Swiss cylinder vacuum cleaner, and much faster. If I use the minimum suction power, that is, and there is the biggest surprise. Because the battery gives me something like 45 minutes, even using the powered rotating brush head, I can quickly clean all the parquet and stone floors and carpets in our 130 square metre flat and still have power left to spare. And all without changing the head. The job of vacuuming the floors is transformed and I rediscover that childhood buzz again! If I need to clean cloth upholstery the small powered rotating brush head works stunningly well, getting unexpected dust out of heavy cloth chair covers and bed heads and mattress surrounds. I am really delighted with this Dyson and would recommend it to anyone. Of course it is expensive, but for the pleasure it gives in use and it’s efficiency it seems like good value to me.

I’ve been converted to dyson cordless vacuum cleaners for the past 5 years, I have had the DC35 and have found it really easy to lift off the charging dock and clean our hard floors in the kitchen, living room and hall daily. The dysons don’t require the battery to be removed for charging so can be easily removed from the dock. The V10 is equally good for this and is also very good for use on our carpets which are on the stairs and in the bedrooms. With the new model I was hoping that it would be able to lift larger bits of debris (without the need to sort of lift the cleaning head over backwards) - it does this, the soft floor roller is excellent on hard floors. As we have indoor guinea pigs I hoped that the main cleaning head would be able to lift hay without clogging the head and the hay be easily be removed from the cleaner- it does this.I hoped it would be able to lift long hair well from carpets- the suction is great even on low with occasional high power for cleaning carpets and the extra room in the debris bin along with longer battery power charge is really useful. There is enough to do the whole house on low power and occasional high suction though I tend to use it for areas at a time as it is so easy to get out.I was unsure of needing to take the attachments off in order to empty the bin, but they are really easy to take on and off and as the bin doesn’t need emptying so often it’s not been too bad. With this model you are able to aim it into the bin better though it’s easier if the bin isn’t too full.I wondered if the V10 would feel more awkward or heavier with the new shape but it fits well into the hand and as with the older models the power trigger is well positioned to keep it pulled on with little effort.

I already own a very old Dyson upright and an older model Dyson cordless which has been so useful I decided to buy a second and saw this one, which was promoted as being better than an upright. I have stairs, a cat and a mix of hardwood and carpeted floors so thought that this one would do the job since it has attachments to suit most surfaces. My old cordless didn't have a head useful for stairs and so wasn't that great for those but this new one is fabulous. It comes with a small size rotating brush head perfect for treads. the stairs are now done in double quick time and look so much cleaner. The dust bin is so much easier to empty.I had to use a knitting needle to remove the contents from the old cordless but this new one has a handle which pushes all the dirt out. The suction is incredible - I managed to vacuum keys right off a computer keyboard (using the dusting attachment which is great by the way for dusting tops of door frames and other awkward spots). It sucks up cat hair with ease and left a sofa spotless where usually there would be the odd stubborn hair remaining. This Dyson has a power indicator so you can see how much time you have left, however there is plenty time as the running time is about 3 times longer than my old cordless. It looks good and is surprisingly low noise for such a powerful vacuum. The only (slight) negative is the weight - with great power comes greater weight - and - because the bin is that much larger. This isn't really an issue until you have to swap attachments and so best to do this with it resting on the floor. All said, this is a marvellous machine and I highly recommend it.

Having been an owner of the Animal V6 the features and look of the new machine were familiar to me. The first thing I noticed was the dust box which is larger than the previous machines and easier to empty. The machine also has 3 power settings and claims to have a longer battery life than the earlier model mentioned. If you owned a previous model that you hung on the wall with the supplied plate as we have the manufacturers even thought about us and included an additional plate which adjusts the charger to your current fixings. Aesthetically it is an attractive machine. Now to the first time I used this machine. We have a 3 bedroom semi with a Dog and two long haired cats with mix of hard wood floors and carpet on the stairs with various rugs strategically placed in some rooms. We need a machine that is particularly good at collecting cat hair. Set to the lowest power setting it had no problem picking up the chunky bits of cat litter as an example. It was a breeze to use. I upped the setting for the rugs and you could feel the pull of the power increase. Finally on the stair carpet which seems to gather the cat hair I decided to set to the highest power setting and was amazed at how powerful this was. It almost lifted the carpet from its fitting. House completely vacuumed and no sign of the battery power running out. I did not put it on charge that day as I wanted to gauge the battery life and managed to get a full vacuum the next day on the lowest setting without having to charge up.Finally my wife used the machine for the first time yesterday and loved its light weight and ease of use.

I would definitely recommend Dyson Cyclone V10 Absolute. What a brilliant machine, it is well worth paying extra to buy this model, it is beyond fantastic, I love using it and very powerful. It has three settings - max, medium and low. When the machine arrives watch out for pre-set to max as it reduces the power, plus you will be using different attachments, which also reduces power. Reset it to the low setting as cleans up well. Only use max setting for getting the last bit of dust from all surfaces and carpets. I have used all the attachments as I have floorboards, tiles and carpet and it really cleaned all the surfaces brilliantly. It is 20% charged on arrival, charge it further as suggested before using it for the first time. Emptying the bin is easy, not fiddly at all. The bin holds much more than my last machine. I can do my through lounge and passage - hard floor, kitchen and bathroom - tiles and 3 bedrooms - carpets in one charge and bin. Not heavy at all, very lightweight. Power button is easy to use. Easy to manoeuvre into corners, round bends, under beds, units furniture etc. As a handheld is it brilliant for doing the staircase and car. The noise level on this machine is low compared to my other Dyson. All the assorted tools are brilliant to use and very easy to clean, especially the hair. Vacuuming is so much quicker and effortless. Cheaper to run as money will be saved on bags and filters. I have been using it since 1st of March 2018 and would recommend it. I always go for Dyson, I admit I did buy another make in between, but was totally let down and went back to Dyson. 5 stars
