I currently have a V6 Fluffy and love it so I jumped at the chance to try the new V7 Motorhead.Taking it out of the box to using it was just a few clicks and took minutes. It did have a little power to have a quick try but decided to charge it fully first. This took about 3 hours.V7 Motorhead (Cool name and have called the machine Lemmy!) is a bit bigger and heavier than the V6 but it is not too noticable when using it.The Pros are:~It is much quieter even when on max setting~Extended length of use time on normal setting: I vaccummed 4 bedrooms, landing, two bathrooms, downstairs toilet, couple of ceiling corners and my kitchen and it was still going! The power/suction is so good I didnt need to use the max setting.I couldnt believe how much it vacuumed up considering I clean weekly as a minimum and we are at work/school in the week. This was on a combination of carpet, tiles, vinyl with wood texture floors~The larger roller in the Motorhead makes vacuuming much smoother and it rolls much more easily - meaning deeper pile carpet is a breeze to go over compared to the V6 which needs to be pushed/pulled more so. Going from carpet to hard floors and back again is easy and smooth and rugs don't seem to get 'sucked up' like with the V6~The ball joint on the stick means that is has great manouverability~Love that you can store it on wall and it charges ready for the next use but it is just as easy to charge if it isn't wall mounted (We haven't got round to mounting ours yet). As all walls are different I am quite happy that the wall mountings aren't supplied.~Slim compact design so takes up little room wall mounted or not~Very light so can carry easily up/down stairs ~Super easy to empty - this is an improvement on the V6 model as it is less messy and cleans the hair off the inside as you pull it up. The bin is also bigger which would be an advantage for those who dont like emptying it - although this has never been a problem for meThe only cons are:~Not so keen on the colour pink as it seems very gender bias (and to be fair my hubby does just as much vacuuming as I do!) ~The Motorhead is bigger in height than the one on the V6 so it doesnt clear under the front of our settee. Having said that the head will still fit under a lot of furniture such as coffee tables, desks etc~The accessories I spent over £50 on for my V6 don't fit the new V7. I am hoping Dyson will sell an adapter so I can still use them. Namely the small motorhead, mattress cleaner, stiff brush, dusting brush, pipe (for car cleaning) etc. I will be disappointed if I have to buy new onesWhen I first had one of these machines I held the handset and trigger too tightly so ended up with a sore hand in between my thumb and first finger however the trick is to relax your hand and almost just rest it in positon. I can now vacuum without any discomfort. My husband loves the V7 Motorhead so much that he has now relgated the V6 Fluffy to cleaning the cars. Even my 9 & 11 year old boys vacummed the kitchen for me today and both said that the V7 as easier to use than the V6!Over all very happy with the improvements and love the V7 Motorhead - I cant see me ever going back to an upright machine!

Received this in time for mothers day.. such a wonderful surprise, I have been admiring these hand held hoovers at many family and friends homes.. seen them in action over the years and how the design features have evolved. I most definitely recommend this model, so light weight the ergonomically design features such as the 360oC swivel head of the main vacuum suction head surely is a must design tick box in any new hoover Dyson now launch onto the market.I have been using Dyson hoovers for the last 15 years, last hoover lasted 8 years finally had to purchase a replacement model last summer was a Dyson DC39 Multifloor Cylinder Vacuum Cleaner which is brilliant always purchased the cylinder style model. Now I just prefer to use my V7 for day to day general quick use, the turbo boost setting is similar to cylinder performance on my rugs, feel the greater vacuum pressure griping the wool pile.. I timed nearly 10mins of usage..but obviously using the start stop button as your navigating around the rooms obstacles, certainly didn't feel like 6mins as per the spec. I managed to run around a lounge and one med size bedroom on the turbo setting. However I found the standard setting is perfectly adequate, I have often heard people complain "...oh the battery goes dead so quickly on those cordless hoovers.." but just over 30mins of hoovering time with the standard setting option. Great for quick tidy ups in the kitchen dining area, no fuss of dragging out my large cylinder hoover.. move around so quickly with the swivel head getting in to small awkward spaces around the dining room table and chairs. The porch area.. a dream.. often where shoes are left and the trail of dirty soils and muddy wellies, I used the turbo setting here on thick straw like mats and smooth tiles just so convenient able to keep things looking tidy and clean. Reaching up on to picture rails to remove dust and cob webs on ceilings... I found so light weight on the arm and restricting like the hose attached to my cylinder hoover. The only thing unsure of was that the bar in the suction head did not rotate around on wooden floors or tiles? Only on carpets.. I need to call customer services to check when I have a moment. So easy to empty the contents straight in to bin, amazed to see the fine level of particles picked up. Proof in the pudding I guess... sucked up even the tiniest partials. Finally, I appreciate the main design feature is its cordless!!. However to allow an extended time to 30mins to accommodate the turbo setting can I suggest perhaps a design feature to actually switch the hoover to cord setting and run off the mains. The hoover design is a delight to use, the battery recharge relatively quickly but I am a little impatient.. especially when I prefer the turbo setting on heavy soiled carpets, so incredible light weight and convenient to take out when in hurry and run around without the hassle of dragging out your main large cylinder hoover to follow behind you when running around especially on stair cases and moving from room to room. An ideal gift for your elderly parents to use instead of dragging a hoover around, also for homes with limited storage great space saving hoover.I love this hoover...

Getting all the bits out of the box and assembling was really easy, quick and straight forward. The battery was charged to 25%.Instructions very clear and concise. The first time I charged the battery It took well over 3 hours, after 6 hours the light was still on blue so I left it overnight, the light was clear in the morning which indicates charging is complete. Since the initial charging, the battery now charges fully in under 3 hours. The suction is amazing, on both hard floors and carpet. There is a power boost button which is great for deep pile carpets, but this does drain the battery quickly, it lasts about 6 minutes on as stated on the box. I have 2 dogs and a dusty old house and was sceptical how it would cope, but it was brilliant. I didn’t manage to get around the whole house before the battery ran out but was able to give the downstairs a good clean in about 20 minutes using the higher power intermittently. Because it is cordless it was much easier for vacuuming cobwebs that are collecting in high high places, also getting around the back of the sofa and TV was so much easier as there’s no cable or cylinder to hinder you.Although it was great getting behind furniture I didn't think it was particularly good on the stairs, the motorised head is too big for stairs and was awkward. Dyson - it would be really good if there was a mini motorised head as part of the accessory pack.Emptying the cylinder was really easy, you just place the cylinder over a bag/bin, pull up the lever and the contents drop straight out. The filter is easy to access and clean. The battery life is significantly reduced if you are using it on the higher suction power, also the handle starts to get warm after about 5 minutes.Overall, this is a great piece of kit and I did question if I would have use for it and if it would be a bit gimmicky, but I have to say, I love it and wouldn’t be without it now. It's so easy to use and is quick and easy to get out if you just need to have a quick 20 minute spruce up around the house. There is a bracket that can be fixed to the wall for storing the vacuum whilst charging, just lift and go!

I have always been wary of cordless vacs as I bought a cheap one to try out and it really wasn’t very powerful. I have a corded vac but it’s on its last legs so I thought I’d bite the bullet and get a Dyson cordless. I didn’t go for the latest version because of the price so opted for the V7 Animal. OMG - what a difference! I had already struggled to hoover the stairs a few days before but thought I’d try this as a hand-held with the motorised brush attachment and I had a full bin by the time I’d finished - which was a much less amount of time than when I’d struggled a few days before! The suction is great and on the extra suction it lifts the carpets! Every attachment is useful and so easy to change.I really wish I had bought one of these years ago. It’s always ready as the wall unit charges as it rests there. Everything is really amazingly well thought out and, as I found out when I registered for the warranty, you can buy every component separately. I used to hate hoovering the stairs. Now it’s no hassle and so quick. Using the large head is also great on carpets and hard floors without having to change anything. The only slight negative I have is the the charging unit can only hold two thin attachments - if you put the motorised head on there you can’t put anything in the other space. But that’s just a tiny niggle and so I keep the rest of the attachments in the cupboard next to the charging unit. Overall a great vac and I would definitely recommend.

We have owned a corded Dyson vacuum cleaner for many years.. it has always worked very efficiently and never let us down. I had noticed recently though that it was getting heavier to use, particularly carrying it up and down stairs. The cord was also being a pain in this day and age! We have also owned a different cordless vacuum for a couple of years which is based on a removable hand held unit. It has been very convenient to use and progressively proving how inconvenient and heavy our original Dyson had become. I decided though that a new more powerful cordless machine was needed so checked the Which report for their findings. Even though there were far more powerful, but considerably more expensive Dysons recommended, I decided on a V7 Pro giving me three additional attachments which are proving most useful and very easy to interchange. Emptying the machine is also so simple with the dust etc contents well contained and far kinder to ones health. As yet, we have not had the machine for a month so have not tried removing the filter for washing. All documentation is also clear and concise. I am delighted to finish by saying that so far there is nothing negative I can say about the machine. I hope this report has been useful.I don't understand though the statement below which says, "As a registered Dyson owner, I received a free product to help facilitate my review".

When I unpacked the V7 I was underwhelmed, how could something that small clean the house or car?Having cleaned and dusted all five bedrooms, two staircaises, kitchen and lounge in one charge I had to rethink things. Light, easy to steer around furniture and cleaning right up to the edges. So, recharge overnight and out to the car next morning. Yes, you guessed, it cleaned the whole car, only running out of charge after I switched to max suction to get in the crevices between the front seats.I have had to rethink things, brilliant design in all respects, light, easy to use, adequate suction, good brush action, (how does that work with no visible motor), and so easy to empty, just hold over the bin and pull the top.My eight year old grandaughter managed it with ease, regotiating around and under furniture with ease, so I may have a free cleaner!Only downside, the trigger made my finger sore and painful after first use, but that is improving with use and I understand the need for a trigger rather than a switch to maximise battery life.Well done, Dyson design team, I may at last be able to retire my DC4.

We bought this having looked at other cordless vacuum cleaners. They were not a pacth on the performance of the V7. We initially thought that the V7 was rather expensive, and suspected it would be rather feeble, as well. It convinced us by its performance, ease of use and design, nothing else.We have used it in place of our corded machine (also a Dyson, model DC 25) as it is so light and gets into the corners. Doing the stairs is so easy. Our corded machine had a hose that was just too short to reach to the top stair. Now we use the V7 on maximum suction for the stairs, and it does a wonderful job.On normal suction, there is plenty of charge to do the whole house, although I do wonder how the battery would cope with a bigger house.I have cleaned the car with it. Very light and does a good job. I have also used it to clean up after going some joinery. The extra power comes in really useful. My wife, who is disabled, can use it easily, while she struggled with the DC 25.The cleaner charges up quickly, and its dock is easy to use.

I have been using this for nearly 2 weeks now and I cannot believe i ever managed without it. On opening the box I was very hesitant that this tiny light piece of equipment would be sufficient for my cleaning needs. I pieced it together with just a few clicks and away I went. This is so easy to manoeuvre around and under furniture. I can vacuum my whole house on the normal setting and then still have battery left to put it onto the max setting to go over the living room carpet where the most mess is.There is also 2 attachments included in the box to get into smaller areas. These store very neatly onto the wall holder along with the main parts. It takes me around 2 hours to fully charge this, with the green light being very handy to tell me when it's ready. This is not something I would have went out and purchased as I really liked my dc25, however I am now fully converted since trying this and definitely do not see the need to keep my large vacuum anymore. It makes cleaning so easy, and my kids like using it too which is a help.

We previously had a different brand of stick vacuum. None the less it cost a touch less than a Dyson but was still expensive and had promised the same results. Immediately we noticed the volume of it, the weight of it and the awkwardness with which you had to clean. After a year the battery died, suction died and generally the item was dead. Given how Dyson is perceived as a market leader I bought the V7. Yes it cost more but I was sick of settling for something less to save a few pounds. Nothing could have prepared me for the difference between the two vacuums. The V7 is light, quiet and above all else powerful. It gave result we could have never expected. The battery hasn't ever run out whilst cleaning either. It is easy to use, set up and was even easy to install the wall mount. I honestly cannot recommend the V7 enough. I do not agree with the offshoring of production carried out by the company and I swear it is not easy to leave such a glowing review but it is the best vacuum I have ever owned.

After using different brands of handheld vaccums I was scepticle at first, however after reading reviews and videos on the Dyson V7 Absolutie, I thought it was worth the risk. How surpised I was, the amount of different attachments that came with it! my favourite attachment is the soft roller. What an excellent idea, human hair or animal hair doesn't get stuck in it and it gently glides across hard floors! Perfect! My only complaint is when the battery runs low/out it cuts out, however this is mitigated by the docking station that comes with it and as long as you place it back on charge everytime you won't run in to this issue. I have a ground floor 2 bedroom flat with hardfloors throughout, the battery covers the entire flat on max suction mode. I find that the high suction extended mode is so powerful and quiet I use that more than the max suction. I would highly recommend the V7 Absolute! if you have a larger flat or house then look towards the V10 or V11 as they have longer battery life.

Having the vacuum hanging on the wall makes it easy to pick up and use whenever needed without going to the trouble of digging out the corded vacuum and plugging it in. Suction is decent and charge lasts long enough for a three-bedroomed house. However, for a premium product I am disappointed that the design of the handle is so poor. The power button has to be pushed constantly to work (saving charge when not vacuuming) and this is OK but the issue is a plastic divider which goes between your trigger finger and your forefinger and after a while presses into your forefinger causing discomfort. Two or three people have mentioned this in earlier reviews.I am a strong 50-year-old man who goes weight training three times a week and can throw large weights around, not a frail pensioner - if it bothers me it will bother a lot of people. Also, screws etc should be included for fitting the holder to the wall. Overall decent but a little disappointing and expensive for what it is.

It sucks......in the nicest possible way! This is a Dyson refurbished machine. It looks brand new, no marks or signs of any wear and tear. I have the big ball Dyson vacuum but after having had surgery it's too heavy for me to handle now. I'm really pleased that the V7 is such a capable machine. I didn't expect it to match the corded vacuum so I was surprised by the results. It's very light, manoeuvrable and quiet (the cat doesn't go into hiding when it's switched on). I've not needed the boost power as it cleans well enough without using it. The range of tools supplied with it are adequate for any job. I've used it in the car with excellent results. I've cleaned most of the house without draining the battery or losing suction. The only downside is the size of the bin, which is small but as it's easy to empty isn't a real issue. The cat tracks litter round the house but it handles it easily. I'm left wondering what the more expensive models do that this doesn't?

I have been really impressed by this vacuum's performance. I started with the stick cleaner fully charged and on the lower suction setting, using the motorised brush head. It ran for 35 minutes on a combination of tiled floors, laminate, short pile carpet and heavy rugs, giving good all-round results. It is quiet, lightweight and well-balanced, both as a stick cleaner and as a hand-held, and it recharged from flat in a couple of hours. On the higher power setting, results are equally impressive, and it still managed a 10 minute run time. It doesn't pick up larger particles (like the twigs that fall off the dog!) but it is practical, flexible and comfortable to use, and the tools add extra functionality.I leave it permanently on charge - and I haven't used my standard upright cleaner since this one arrived!Cons? It would be nice if there was a power level indicator rather than the machine just stopping but that's a minor quibble.

I bought this to replace a hand held DC30. I used to sweep the ground floor of our house & use the DC30 to pick up the pile of hair from out 2 dogs. When the charger broke I managed to convince my husband that a new stick vacuum would replace the need for a sweeping brush & the DC30. He was sceptical about spending a large amount on what he thought was a sweeping brush, but what can I say he now a total convert! We have 2 reception rooms & a kitchen with hard floors and another reception room that is carpeted. I usually have to drag out our 10 year old very heavy dyson to hoover this but no more the V7 is as good as our corded Dyson and I even managed to hoover all the house with it.I would totally recommend this product. Other reviewers have said about the charge not lasting very long when used on max -I didn’t need to use the max setting as the suction was enough on the normal setting.

Bought this about 2 weeks ago to use for daily cleaning alongside my Dyson (DC41) which is powerful and cleans well but very heavy and not easy to use at all. I am still using the upright for the living room carpet which is quite thick although the V7 is ok in the carpet - just not as deep a clean. We have hard floors in all other areas of the house apart from stairs and landing which I now clean using V7 - It’is brilliant for quick little clean ups - I have two toddlers so lots of crumbs and mess throughout the day etc which are now so easy to clean up and save me getting the brush and pan out all of the time .The only thing I’d would say needs to improve is the tools for cleaning the stair carpet - May purchase the mattress upholstery tool to see if that’s any better but would have been handy for that to have been included. All in all , I’d recommend the V7 Motörhead .
