Since my handheld cordless Dyson DC35 broke less than 3 years since purchasing it, although I really liked some aspects of It (i.e the suction and mobility), I was unwilling to invest in another one. After researching the handheld cordless vacuum cleaners currently available, I thought the Morphy Richards one was too good of a deal to not try out.I must say I am thoroughly impressed with this affordable and versatile product. In all honestly it is a shade less powerful than my old Dyson, but nothing to complain about. It copes with our kitchen tiled floor and 2 types of carpers in our house without any problem. The vacuum cleaner is very well weighted and super easy to navigate.I find the handle very comfortable to steer and as a 5ft7in person- a great height for me. The head is oscillating and glides smoothly on all floors without digging in the carpets. The detachable smaller vacuum is of course an added bonus, as well as the attachments designed for harder to reach places. The brush picks up all sorts of particles with no issue and is very easy to clean from wrapped up hairs, threads etc. The bagless rubbish collector is ingeniously designed with an internal small filter that appears to compress dust and other small particles, which is contained inside the bigger plastic body of the collector. I find I need to clean it after a major house clean (this is 4 bedrooms and 3 other rooms and corridors). However due to the ease of disposal, it is simply not an issue. The charging time of the Morphy Richards vacuum is 5 hrs and the charge lasts me longer than the old Dyson. A massive improvement on my old vacuum cleaner is the fact that the on/off button does not require constant pressing during hoovering, which I always used to find such an hassle. The Morphy Richards vacuum cleaner comes well packaged and is ready to use with 2 assembly moves of the major parts. It comes already pre-charged and the handle could be folded at the back of the main body, which makes for an easy storage when not in use. Personally I put mine on charge on the provided stand, so I never have to worry if the vacuum needs charging. The overall look of the product is sleek and much more expensive than its price range. Finally, I am so pleased to find a reasonably priced alternative to an expensive product I thought I would struggle to match in performance unless I paid similar amount of money. Anyone who can't be bothered with corded vacuums, lives on more than one floor, has big rooms, or looks for relative lightweight and easy to navigate vacuum cleaner with the added bonus of the handheld component, will not be disappointed with this little beauty. Well done, Morphy Richards!PS. Extra points for a super fast delivery- this product was delivered to me less than 24hrs after ordering.

My purchase arrived and I was excited to use it, unpacking it and setting it up was very easy. The first time I used it I thought this is rather good I was very happy.Very easy and light to carry up stairs, nice colour, the head swivels nice and smoothly and its east to maneuver Good suction. It works well on carpets and hard floors so for light cleaning it's very good. The power button is in a good place and can be seen easily. It is very easy to separate the hand held part from the main body, you just press a button and it slips out and is very easy to replace there's no fiddling about it just slides straight back into place. The tools just push in and pull out with ease there are no awkward buttons and you don't need strength or great hand grip either. You can also see clearly when the dust bag is full. It's easy to empty but needs to be emptied often. When you open the dirt collection part inside there is a small filter that is easy to remove and replace. It's very simple to charge up you just place it on it's stand, it has a light that indicates when it's fully charged and it doesn't take long and it doesn't take up much space which is very convenient..However I own a Great Dane dog which has short hair and moults a lot and after a few times using this vac I found that the whole thing got blocked up with the dog hair and fluff a lot and it lost suction power, I had to tap and brush off the filter every time otherwise the filter would of needed replacing within a couple of weeks you may need to clean the filter with a soft brush or something to extend it's life and I also had to pull out the dirt from a small part where the dirt goes through before entering the dust bag itself. At the mouth of the handheld device where you fit the tools you can see a rubber piece just inside the hole I found that, that got blocked up easily if you happened to pick up a large ball of fluff or something, it is easy to clear but inconvenient.I would prefer it if the tools included a hard brush tool as well and a longer crevice tool that can actually fit right down the sides of your car seats. But I haven't come across any vac that actually has these tools yet.All in all I think this is a very nice item, quite well designed, very nice to look at and very easy to use but if you have a dog that moults a lot or a lot of thick dust etc you will need to unblock it.I personally got fed up with it blocking up every time and the inconvenience of having to pull out the debris and the brushing off of the filter I decided it wasn't for me so sent it back. If you only need this for light vacuuming then I would highly recommend this device.

I tend to only write reviews on things that impress me, wax lyrical about the good points and try to highlight anything needing improving. I'll continue in the same vein with the review of the Supervac, something which has impressed me a lot in the few weeks that I've had it.I live in a two bedroom flat with hard floors in all rooms except the bedrooms, with new, fairly thick carpets. I was totally convinced I needed a Dyson and came very close on several occasions when there were offers, but just couldn't bring myself to spend the money. When I saw this for less than £100 I read some reviews and took what I thought would turn out to be a punt, however ever since unboxing it,I've been extremely impressed with its practicality and performance. It fits perfectly in my storage cupboard (and there is not a lot of space in there with a washing machine, ironing board, clothes horse and other cleaning stuff!) It's very compact but doesn't feel at all flimsy and I think it's actually pretty well made. The handle folds down to save even more space. It charges in about three to four hours and lasts for about 15-20 minutes. This is ample for me to do a kitchen, living room, hallway and two bedrooms, as well detaching the handheld module and doing the sofa etc.The suction is surprisingly powerful. It picks up virtually everything it goes over first time. If there is some fluff deep in the carpets, you'll probably have to pick it out and go back over it to get it up, but that's the case with most hoovers. I was worried it would't cope with the carpets but I've had no problem whatsoever so far. The hard floors pose no problem either and it makes light work of them. It's very light and manoeuvres around the place well due to having a swivel head, so the hoovering is a simple chore that gets done pretty quickly. The only thing I would say even remotely negative about it is that you do have to empty it every time you use it. The dust container isn't the biggest and is fairly full after going over the whole flat once. It's very easy to empty though, and I would suggest taking apart the filter (also very easy) and rinsing after every use as the instructions suggest.I haven't had it long enough to comment on longevity, but it comes with a two year guarantee so is probably going to last for some time, and if you keep on top of cleaning the filter, I'm sure the suction power will stay strong.Overall, this is one of my best buys in a while. Great value, easy to use and very functional. Couldn't ask for more! Would strong recommend in a flat or smaller home.

This is excellent on hard floors. Very light too. The hand held part has much stronger suction on all surfaces than the upright section does on carpeting. That said, this is a really good machine for getting rid of dust on any surface. It is extremely easy, unlike some models, to take apart for emptying and for cleaning the brush section, the brush is easily removed. I really like that I caught a piece of fabric that is covering a table and the vacuum just stopped, it did not suck the material up and result in everything on the table falling off. Perhaps that is one of the reasons for the weaker suction on the upright. I like Morphy Richard brand things which is why I bought this.I was very impressed with it's performance on hard floors, the way it shifts surface dust from everything including carpets and the performance of the hand held is better than any other vacuum I have owned. I can dust shelves and other surfaces, no problem, makes dusting so easy. I had no problem with it sucking up nicknacks because it has three different options that come with the hand held tools, so I can vacuum around my nicknacks. It gets rid of dust like no other I have bought and, because none of the dust escapes whilst vacuuming, it is great for anyone who has breathing difficulties or dust allergies. I suggest however, when emptying it, get a bag and hold the top of it then shake out the container because if you empty it into the bin the dust flies all over the place - dust will fly unless you take precautions such as the one I suggested. I use an allotted dry, one inch soft bristle, paint brush for getting the dusty parts cleaner and for giving the filter a good clean, then just rinse the paintbrush out and leave it to dry thoroughly. However, for a carpet deep clean, perhaps you might prefer a stronger suction, or an annual professional carpet clean. Though the upright suction is not as strong as some on the market, It does get rid of dust, dried mud, other bits and pieces that fall on the carpets or get walked in after going out, it does not leave that, just been vacuumed mark on the carpets but it does get rid of 'stuff'. Brilliant using the hand held part on bedding/mattresses and other fabrics, curtains, chairs etc. as well as shelving and the corners that the uprights cannot reach. I am happy with my purchase and use it a lot because I live in an area where there is, for some obscure reason, a lot of dust entering my property.

I'm giving 2 for 1 value here, reviewing the 732000 2 in 1 Cordless Vacuum and the Morphy Richards 'Never loses suction' compact bagless cylinder vacuum. I have both and love both and NO, I don't work for Morphy Richards. I have had the cylinder vacuum for a couple of years and have no complaints with its performance at all - it has the best suction of any cleaner I have ever had. Its cleaning is magic. However the effort of dragging it out and negotiating the cord around furniture and getting it stuck under doors was beginning to get me down. I flirted with the idea of the more expensive cordless vacs including Dyson and Gtech but after reading the reviews, I decided on the Morphy Richards 2 in 1.What attracted me to this was the ability to switch to a hand-held cleaner for chairs, car etc. I was not disappointed. The suction is good, the machine is highly manoeuvrable and lightweight. Pushing it across the floor does not take any more effort than pushing the hose on my cylinder cleaner and I am not trying to drag the main part of the machine along behind me at the same time. Fabulous! Is it as good as the cylinder? Well, no. Not for carpet. For carpet I have never had a better cleaner than the Never loses Suction Cylinder. So once a week I get the cylinder out and do my one and only carpet - the other floors in my small bungalow are all laminate or tile. The rest of the time the cordless is fine. It picks up crumbs and dust from the carpet okay. Not a deep clean but respectable. And I am much more likely to move furniture in the other rooms while pushing the cordless than I was while trying to cope with the cord, so everything is cleaner than before. The time to re-charge the battery is fine. It does not need to be fully charged to work and I keep it topped up by plugging it in after each use and switching off when the battery light goes green. I have only once had the battery go flat while in use and that was my fault for forgetting to charge for a couple of days. It converts to a hand-held cleaner at the touch of a button and then goes back together again in one second flat with a reassuring click. Easier than taking the head off the cylinder hose and attaching the duster head! Brilliant. My quality of life has improved. I reckon I now have the best of both worlds.

This is a decent cordless hoover, but heed my warning; it does need very thorough cleaning (preferably after every long use or a few shorter ones) otherwise the suction goes quickly. I think a lot of the reported problems are probably caused by not cleaning it out properly. The design, however, is excellent. It's easy to manoeuvre and because it's so light it doesn't make pushing the hoover around exhausting like with the huge ones. It's very compact, fits nicely into a spare corner while sat on it's little charging stand and the battery life is decent enough to get you around a few rooms (including using the handheld for the crevices) without running out.The ability to fold down the handle to put in a cupboard I imagine is also quite useful but I've never had to use it because it already takes up so little space. Not only that, but it's quite pretty in it's own way so I'm not embarrassed to have it on show. The downsides I've noticed other than the very necessary cleaning is that tiny stones or other heavier stuff that regularly gets brought in on shoes can't be sucked up into the storage (which I don't really mind because the hoover is tiny and I wasn't expecting miracles from it), but do get caught in the base where the brush is and tend to rattle around and stay stuck in there until you empty it out. While this isn't a dealbreaker, it's mildly annoying. That said, those small bits that the main hoover can't pick up are easily picked up by the crevice tool, so you can take the handheld bit out when you're done with the floor and use it to hoover the hoover, which is useful, just don't forget to carry a coin while you're hoovering so you can take the brush out.To conclude my rambling review; this is a great hoover for thin carpets and good for wood floors. I don't think it would hold up against thick carpets, but considering it's size that's not really surprising. It's handy, convenient for stairs, light and good looking, and the handheld bit is very decent. Powerful for its size and very reasonable price, but needs to be used and cleaned regularly to keep your home clean.

My wife is very pleased with this item , it is light weight for carrying around and does it's job perfectly. Solved the problem of limited power sockets ,and having to stretch a power cable or use power cable extender. It is so much quieter than , the normal Mains powered vacuums , fully flexible jointed head for getting in and out of places , where furniture can be an obstacle course , and the fact that you can detach from the stick so as to have a handy vacuum for stairs etc. , (not forgetting you can use it to take outside and clean the car). Storage is fine in a cupboard under the stairs where the changing unit is placed ( handle folds down as shown so is unobtrusive whilst being stored ,and charged). The power cable to the charging unit storage stand is only about one meter ,so be aware of this when planning a place to store this unit. It is not as powerful a suction as Mains plug in types , but is more than adequate for general day to day use. As for the bag less dust container , it is small , but I suppose that depends on how often you vacuum, and the area , but normal it is good enough for my wife to go through our small house , without being emptied until the job is done. As for the operating time well she hasn't run out of time and charge is supposed to last 25 mins. and once placed back on the charging unit it doesn't seem to take long to recharge ( the initial charging time from new was the recommended 4 hours, but if the vacuum is placed on charging unit after use it maintains a trickle charge as recommended in the instructions. I would have said 5 stars , but I suppose later on (in a year or so) it will have to have replacement battery , and I haven't looked into that yet. Also on the down side , you can buy this item , cheaper elsewhere, as i have found out (I bought it at £74 , but it is £69 in the Factory Shop ,and other places) ...Why Amazon have put the price up ?? I suppose it was because it is a nice item , I hope they bring the price back down for all other would be customers , I hope that this has been helpful to you.

Vacuuming is so dull; running around the whole house time after time sucking up washing detergent and hairs - life's too short. After moving into a new home, I ditched my old upright as it was cheap and nasty. After much reviewing I decided to go for this one thanks to the wireless nature, and i'm glad I did.I was blown away to be honest, I imagined that the wireless power would be weak and pathetic but it's the opposite. It can do my whole house [2 bed] in no time at all. It's so nice to chuck around, the pivoting neck[?] is also fantastic for making turns while doing your Hoover-Dance. You can glide around turning gracefully and it doesn't tire out your arm muscles.Nice click-press buttons and removing the dust-vac is also very clicky and satisfying.Emptying is great also; a houseful is just enough I would say. I would hate to clog up the machine and damage it, but even doing the whole house and doing a fussy stair clean was still perfectly OK for the capacity of the vacuum.I always keep the thing out, but the folding handle is also brilliant with a satisfying button and folding mechanism. The charging dock is minimal with a big Red/Green light to let you know of the status of charge. When you run the poor thing down, it does get slightly slower and then it cuts off, so you won't be wasting your time with suction that is not sucking. As it turns itself off when it becomes useless. The dust vac is also great, one of the attachments is angled at 45 degrees so getting tops of skirting boards and other surfaces feels really natural. Power is still good when using the little vac, some reviewers mentioned it was poor but It gets dusty and other bits - not sure if others were trying to suck up gravel or some crap!Vacuuming is now not a chore, and I actually kind of enjoy it to be honest. The pivoting neck and lightweight feel is tremendous - i've even sold [not literally] two people to get their own and they have. Maybe MR should be paying me?

First of all, a fantastic service. I was offered first class delivery to arrive within 2 days, I declined and chose the super saver, and it still arrived within 2 days.A really nice compact system, very easy to use & very easy to put together.Parts include the charging base which is light and has a small profile, the handle and upright carpet brush section, the removable handheld section and a set of three tools.Only the video in the product description properly illustrates these tools but they are exactly what you require and I can't imagine anyone needing more. The crevice tool slips into the front of the handheld unit, the upholstery tool slips over that and the brush slips over that again.Personally I wouldn't use the handheld section without any of the tools but there's no reason why you couldn't.The entire unit is so light, really easy to manoeuvre and very flexible (similar to how the ball vacuums are advertised). It is a lot quieter than any vacuum I have ever used and removes dust, fluff, fibres & dirt just as effectively. It is so quiet in fact, that my cat no longer leaves the room nor even hides under the furniture, he simply sits and stares!I haven't reached the battery capacity yet as it's so easy to move around, without all the stopping, unplugging, re-plugging etc. that it doesn't take anywhere near 20 minutes to vacuum my house any more. I have a combination of carpets, rugs, hardwood and tiled floors and it is perfect on all of them.It does take a while to charge, but once you've finished, simply popping it on the stand is no great hardship. The dust collector does fill quite quickly but it's also a piece of cake to remove, empty and replace.I am so impressed, that I keep going over the heavier footfall areas everyday and am currently enjoying cleaning! The ease of use totally removes the chore and being able to have a permanently clean house is a joy.

It's early days with this product and having only used it twice I cannot really comment on it's longevity, however first impressions are very favourable. With a simple large status light that shows red for charging and green for go I was off. It coped brilliantly over a mixture of hard flooring and rugs spread over two floors in small mid-terrace house and picks up far more that my mains powered vacuum cleaner ever did. At the touch of a button the handy detachable car vacuum deploys for awkward areas or sofas, even mid-cleaning and with the device on. The polished performance is rounded off by the simple floor standing docking station and the fact that the vacuum cleaner handle folds down to a diminutive 26"/67cm in height (measured while docked)so it easily fits inside a cupboard. It used to take a good twenty minutes to vacuum the house faffing around with leads, a hose, and dragging the cylinder around. It now takes five minutes to do the same job and with far less of a din.The obvious comparison is the Dyson cordless of which I have tested in the shop on a test patch of carpet. At well over £200, the comparatively cumbersome Dyson pales next to the Morphy Richards and felt more like using a cumbersome garden vac. Morever it really needs to be wall mounted to charge too meaning unless one has a big enough cupboard then it means having a ghastly spectacle such as a vacuum cleaner on show. Lastly, the quality of the Morphy Richards felt superior to that of the Dyson both in terms of product build and suction.I rarely if ever take to the internet to write write a product review; so that in itself says a lot about this product. However, I do set a lot of store by the user reviews I read on here before buying something so I thought it only fair to support the previous positive comments on here that led me to buying this brilliantly thought out product.

I've waited a couple of months to review this cleaner so that I'd have a bit of experience using it. First of all I'd say that it's not really a replacement for a conventional cleaner as it doesn't have the power of a full size cleaner and it has a limited capacity so has to be emptied every time you use it. Having said that I have to say that I don't think we have used our Miele Cat & Dog cleaner (very powerful but expensive) since we've had this. I think it picks up better on normal carpets than it does on hard floors because the brush on the head tends to push griittier particles around on a hard floor and it takes a bit more effort to pick them up.Because it's cordless and fairly light it's so much easier to lift it off it's charger (which we leave on trickle charge all the time) and give the house a quick clean. The dust compartment is quite small so it has to be cleaned every time unless you're just picking up a few crumbs but I find that quite easy by holding the removable section over the kitchen bin and emptying it before reassembling. The filter does need cleaning quite often but usually this just means brushing off the fluff sticking to it with a fairly stiff brush (I use the brush attachment supplied). The rotating brush in the head is also easy to clean as it comes right off with a simple twist of a small plastic screw using a small coin. The brush in our Miele is much more difficult to get rid of hairs and threads caught around the brush as it's almost impossible to get it off the head. All in all after a few months of use I'd recommend this for regular use to pick up crumbs and bits and pieces but would probably keep a more powerful machine for heavier jobs where a lot of dirt has to be cleaned up. I notice the price has gone up quite a bit since we bought ours but I'd still say it's good value.

Decided it was time to treat my floors to a new vacuum cleaner :) In the past Ive had a Dyson which gave me nothing but trouble-not worth the money,or at least mine wasnt...........my most recent one was a Vax-within months the hose split in two places and its been continually getting clogged. So,having a dog and 2 cats I needed something which would be adequate to clean up their hair etc .Was going to go with a conventional cleaner at first-but as I was browsing I came across this one and read most of the reviews-99per cent excellent and a few bad.So choosing to believe the good reviews I decided to take a risk and buy this one.So glad I did-its a fantastic little cleaner and the old Vax hasnow been relegated to the bin.I must admit I was a bit wary when I was waiting for delivery-thought it might just be a jazzed up version of an electric carpet sweeper, but was really surprised at how efficient it is.Havent had it long so its early days but so far Im delighted with it.It arrived already charged and I did the whole house without the charge failing. It lifted loads that I didnt even realise was there, considering I vacuum sometimes twice a day-small dust container doesnt bother me-what it lacks in size it makes up for in personality and looks lol. Well made-just looks like a scaled down version of a normal corded vacuum, same power-fantastic.Cant praise it highly enough.I can scoot all over the downstairs and upstairs without tripping over cables and unplugging and plugging in-I just love it !!! So if anyones reading this and wondering if its worth buying-it is-I might even buy another one for my mum-so to the man who invented the cordless vacuum cleaner-if you were here Id kiss you lol

Boxed in very sturdy packaging, Morphy Richards have managed to develop a robust and user driven cordless vacuum. Easy to assemble via modular components, it makes for a hassle free experience. With no screwdrivers or other tools needed. Light and easy to use, the vacuum will last about 20 or so minutes before needing a recharge. However there are two flaws in this area. It does tend to start to loose a little power nearing the 15 minutes of use, we have found a little less when it switches to handheld mode. Also the 5 hour recharge is an issue, if you keep it topped up that reduces the chances of this occurring as regularly. The performance is excellent and does lift dirt and debris up very well indeed, across all surface types. The rotary head does need cleaning and removing of hairs after a while. However it is easily removable for this purpose. The major flaw of this device is the very small bin. On a reasonable sized semi detached home, it does require emptying after just vacuuming the ground floor. This process is very simple with removal of the filter (which does need cleaning monthly.) the swivel head makes light work of hear to reach areas and also under tables and chairs. Another flaw is the adaption tools for the "DustBuster" in handheld mode. They are proem to becoming detached with no locking mechanism. The range of tools is limited with a nozzle head, mattress and brush applicators . Overall it is worth getting due to its compact design, excellent cleaning ability and easy of use.

I had a number of questions before I bought this hoover which having owned it for 3 months now I think I can answer for someone deciding whether to buy:1) Is it light? Yes it can be easily lifted with one hand2) How long will a charge last? I live in a standard 3 bed house and have never had it lose charge cleaning, my mum bought one and hasn't had any problems either. I leave it on charge and it always seems to have enough to get on with things3) How much can it collect? The collection chamber is small so I tend to empty it after every clean. I estimate about 4-5 uses before it might impact on suction.4) Does it lose suction over time? I read this in one review and it did worry me.It did seem to go this way about 2 weeks ago, only in upright mode the handheld was fine. I seemed to leave bits behind especially going backwards over things. The channel from the bottom of the upright to the brush at the bottom had become clogged. It was fairly easy to clean, just detach the lowest section, turn the plastic key on the base to remove the brush and then poke something down the channel. Now it's working again fine.Overall I would recommend this. I have no pets so can't comment on it suitability for that but i do have a rug that produces lots of fluff and it handles that fine. It's nice to just whip it round the house without having to plug and unplug and having the handheld right there to do edges.

THIS IS BRILLIANT! Makes my life so much easier! Have a 3 bedroom house, one teenager with long hair and a dog with long silky fur. This little miracle sits in the corner charging quietly and is ready to go whenever I need it. It's light, easy to use and manoeuvre around and under furniture, into corners and the stairs. The hand held part is easily detached and is great for little jobs, spilled flour, crumbs etc. It also deals with different flooring, stone, carpet, laminate and a long pile rug. I have osteoarthritis and can manage to carry this upstairs with one hand. I don't have to struggle to plug it in or unplug it; there is no lead to trip over or run over or wind and unwind. The power switch is on the top of the handle so there is no bending down. It is compact and the handle folds up and down easily. I keep it out all the time as I don't have a cupboard with a plug socket. Although I don't like things left out I am happy to leave this out and my fussy daughter hasn't complained about it either; she thinks its great and vacuums without being nagged...as I said its a miracle! I still have a large upright vacuum but haven't used it once since buying this. Obviously for such a light product the dust compartment is small and I do have to empty it every time but this far outweighs all the benefits. Who wants to vacuum with a bag of dirt anyway?
