I'll admit I thought our 9 year old Dyson was still fantastic compared to other bagless machines we've used but oh my goodness this just wipes the floor with it- and then sucks up all the dust it bit whilst looking ever so stylish in its black and rose gold combo. We have two dogs, two women with long hair, three men who drop things and two young children who by design attract dirt, we vacuum every day at least once, whether with the Dyson or a quick djuzz about with the cordless Hoover which is good but not for deep cleaning.I was horrified, mystified and gratified at the amount of dust, hair and muck this sucked out of one test strip of carpet that this is basically the most amazing vacuum machine I've ever tried.I then vacuumed the whole lounge carpet and had to empty the canister several times. The suction is nothing less than incredible,The unit is designed to be flexible and manoeuvrable and it is absolutely brilliant, it sweeps and sways with the lightest flick of the wrist and when you need to get under furniture or alcoves you flick the flex button and it can duck down to horizontal whilst reducing your need to bend. The head itself is amazing. My carpets are fluffy and groomed like new by the double roller system and the combination of the fast spinning fluffy roller and stiff brushes really agitates the fibres to get the most stuck and embedded dust and dirt from the depths. AMAZING. The spinner is so powerful the first time you use it it helps run the unit forward which is a "woah" moment but is testament to the power, it is particularly strong suction on the backwards pull and these spinners can be removed to be thoroughly cleaned and removed of hair which is fabulous. The carpet actually lifted in places it was that powerful. It's brilliant on hardwood floors too. The previous owners of our home installed stripped wooden flooring which has gaps, and with a glitter loving 4 year old, there's lots of sparkle in the gaps that are prevented from suction as the long grooves don't allow a proper vacuum to occur, plus it's glitter of course which is comparable to cockroaches on tenacity. This rolled briefly over the wooden boards and suddenly all, the sparkle was gone- I think I miss it but am astonished at the power of the machine. It's also incredibly quiet. Like super quiet. If you work funny shifts and are scared to do the hoovering at 2am lest the neighbours bang, this is the unit for you. If you have a child with sensory processing issues who hates your usual vacuum this is so much quieter it maybe the solution. It also folds down to a very compact space using the flex option which means it could fit in a low cupboard or a low under stairs cupboard that a traditional upright would be too tall for so is very space saving. The attachments included are great with the true pet multi tool instead of an upholstery tool, this is ideal to get even the most stubborn pet hair off your furniture, carpet or anywhere else as its got extra scrubby bits. The dusting tool is great for corners, ceilings and skirting boards instead of a tickling stick and the usual concentrator nozzle as standard. The only downsides I can live with completely, it's a bit top heavy, if you are elderly or have mobility issues it may be a bit heavier than some of the cordless vacuums on the market, but for us, no problem. The other downside is not a dealbreaker but I'd pay more for a retractable cord storage. Having two small children including a toddler, a puddle of cord is like a cat in a botanists garden of catnip specimens - plus the vacuum lights up at the front so it's the best vacuum ever to them. I would pay for a retractable cord system to prevent having to wrap myself up to do the vacuuming.Overall, this Shark vacuum is outstanding I can't believe how different my carpets are cleaner and texturally, this is hands down worth the cost. I paid more than this for a Dyson 9 years ago so this is a bargain in comparison. Don't hesitate, you won't regret it. You just might regret having not vacuumed more when you first use it!

Wow...thats how Im starting this review....WOW!!! This Shark hoover is awesome. I have laminate all through my bungalow but have rugs everywhere & also have a dog. Now my current hoover is HenryExtra which I think is fab. However its a chore dragging it out so wanted something smaller that was on a lead as rechargeable hoovers are a waste if you have a large home. Now some of my rugs are an absolute nightmare to hoover, even with Henry I have to use the orange pet part to hoover it without putting my shoulder out.....I hate changing the main head all the time, but I have to on my stubborn rugs that collect every micro of fluff, dirt, hair, pet hair.....every darn thinf that floats in the hair. However I have used this Shark hoover on my bedroom rug today & like a breeze that Shark sucked everything up...without putting my shoulder out & without keep going over it...it did it first time & did not struggle. I love everything about this hoover, love that it folds down so.can be stored in a smaller space unlike my Henry. Love that the head comes off & turns into handheld for those small spot clean ups when something is dropped or for crumbs ect. Who wants to maul out a big hoover to clean up biscuit crumbs that Shark here will do in seconds. The light is really handy for seeing into small nooks & crevices & along those skirting boards.... Honestly I cannot say enough good things about it.However I will mention the negatives.1. The top part is a little on the heavy side if you want to hoover spider webs up high ect....not heavy that you need start working out to build arm muscle lol but if you are weaker in the arms due to illness ect then hoovering higher places could be harder for you.2. You have to empty it more often as its a small dirt chamber. However you wouldnt expect a large one on a hoover this size would you really!! I will however say that because this chamber is clear plastic you see just how much dirt this Shark sucks up & I was astonished....I hoovered my rug & the amount it picked up that could not be seen was incredible. Henry had hoovered it the previous day as well!!!3. There is no where store the 2 tools that come with it.In my honest opinion I think you should ignore all these 3 points though & buy this hoover....best hoover I have EVER used!!! I used to be a huge Dyson fan & would never use anything else but last year went to Henry. This year & every year after it will be the year of the Shark....it has swam into my home & ate everything in sight lol.I have not yet tested on deep pile yet but I will update when I do. I did do a small video on Shark hoovering my rug but Amazon dont do.video just photo.....shame really as you.could have heard how quiet it also is.Ok Im done with my review now go buy this hoover....you will not regret it ??Hi I have have tested on deep pile rugs & its fab, hoovers them without a problem. So fab in fact my son brought 1 for my daughter in law who also absolutely loves it. They had a rug in their conservatory that had lost its pile....this hoover actually brought some of the pile back & the rug looks better. Seriously best hoover Ive ever used... ??

I wouldn't normally get excited about a vacuum but I love this! Its so lightweight, and almost propels itself so is really easy to use, even for those with bad backs or painful hands. It has 'flexology' which means both the head swivels easily but also that the stick folds mid way so you can easily get under chest of drawers of beds without having to bend down or use a hose. The folding stick means that it also folds away really small for storage (but doesnt support itself unfolded when you pause vacuuming so needs folding or propping against a wall to stop it toppling over because its so top heavy). It comes with a number of powered heads to fit on the stick or on the top vacuum bit itself. The fact that the rollers are actually powered rather than just air driven means that you get great suction, and also causes the feeling of it propelling itself. The smaller powered nozzle is meant to be used in handheld mode for pet hairs. We dont have pets but I have long hair which falls out so much that I always need a pet function and it works perfectly. It is also supposed to come with a long thin nozzle and a little brush head, but unfortunately despite listing them on the box the small brush head was missing so I cant comment on it.It has two suction settings for hardfloors and thicker carpets. My other hoover had six functions and I could never work out what was what. This is so much simpler, and easily switches between the two functions on the handle as part of the on/off switch. The cord is a long 10m so very easy to manage a large room/down the stairs without having to move the plug midway. You have to pay attention when you wrap the cord back up which way you wind it or you wont be able to unfold the vaccum for the next use without completely unwrapping the cord. All the buttons/levers are well labelled so you dont really need the instructions and cant forget which bit does what. There are a few different filters which it suggests need washing once a month. These are really easy to get to and remove/replace. The brush bar is also easy to get to and clean all the hairs off.The only two downsides are a fairly small dirt container (but clearly this is needed to get it as small and lightweight as possible) and the lack of anywwhere to store the attachments that arent being used (but again i guess for the flexibility it offers you wouldnt want attachments clogging up the stick).Although not cheap I think the quality of this vacuum means its good value for money and would happily buy another of these if this one broke (although its covered by a long 5 year warranty if you register it online) as I'm so happy with it.

Absolutely amazing hoover. I bought this hoover after having a Dyson and I honestly would never go back. I’ve been using this hoover for 8 months now and it’s honestly incredible.First of all, I love the rose gold colouring. I’m an absolute sucker for fancy colours, even on mundane things such as a hoover. It goes with my decor and for me that’s a plus.Secondly, this hoover has amazing suction power. I like that there are two options, one for hard floors and a second for carpets that need a higher suction power to suck out all the pet hair and dust. I have two cats, one of which sheds so much that I’m surprised he still has any fur left at all. This hoover gets it all up easily in one pass.I’m always surprised at just how much pet hair it picks up, and the same with dust. It’s gobsmacking how much dust accumulates in just a few days, which is dangerous for myself as I have asthma as well as other respiratory issues and an allergy to dust. I have noticed a significant improvement in my asthma since using this hoover. I also purchased the motorised pet tool and I love using this tool on the sofa and the stairs.Third, while it’s not the most lightweight hoover ever, it’s very easy to manoeuvre and when it’s folded over it’s very easy to carry, the weight is distributed very well and it’s actually quite light once folded. One thing to remember though is that it must be cleaned and maintained regularly, otherwise it will lose suction and not work as well. You have to take out the foam filters and give them a good rinse in warm water to get out all the impacted dust. I like to take apart the whole dust bin and give it a good clean once a month. You can also take the cover off the rollers and give them a good clean. The soft roller can be taken out and cleaned separately and, while the brush roller cannot be removed, there is a handy score down the brush roller where scissors can be inserted to cut out any long hairs that have gotten trapped around the roller. I see a lot of people complaining about loss of suction but when I ask if they clean it regularly they always say no. It’s a ten minute job and very easy to do, just make sure all parts are completely dry before putting it back together and using it again. All in all, a brilliant hoover. I’ve also converted my mum to Shark from a Dyson and she loves hers just as much as I love mine. If you’re in the market for a new hoover, this is the best you can get, especially if you have allergies or pets.

Shark HV390uk Duoclean corded stick vacuum..........A lighter vacuum cleaner with the ability to switch between a hand held vacuum and a floor model.Shark.......This arrives in 3 main pieces ( with 2 additional, separate tools). The pieces click together effortlessly and in under 5 minutes you have a fully functioning vacuum cleaner.Floor mode.............I am around 5’8” tall and when in floor mode I found this perfectly suited to my size, it is slightly taller than the old style vacuums, but this just seems to improve the reach, allowing you to stretch less and get further with the cleaner. The suction was very good, it collected dust, debris and hair from the floor with ease, but what I really liked was the total lack of effort to push it around the carpets, my old vax makes vacuuming a workout, this made it a walk about! The bending stick feature was easy to use (again just two clicks) and was great under the beds, getting all those dust bunnies which hide out there.Hand held...........It switches to a hand held with a click, you can keep the stick in to allow you to get to the top of curtains etc or take everything out of the unit to give you a shorter version for closer items...I found the stairs easier to clean like this ( and I hate, hate, hate vacuuming my stairs!).I must say that I was not too impressed with the handheld brush head attachment...it didn’t pick up anywhere near as much as the floor head or the crevice tool did and I had to cover the same area repeatedly to get the dirt up with this on.Emptying.....The “bin” is quite small on this- I had to empty it after downstairs to allow room for upstairs to be vacuumed, but I had left the vacuuming for a few days longer than normal to really test this out.To empty is easy, yet again it clicks out, clicks open and a small tap gets all the dirt out...it the clicks back into place- very easy and simple and absolutely no effort, good for my weedy little hands!Cord.......10metres in length- I plugged it in by my lounge door and got all of my very average 1930’s semi vacuumed without unplugging it.Storage......The cord wraps around the holder on the machine, but there is no where to keep the handheld attachments on the machine. My view........I’ve had a dyson , a Miele, several vax and this beats them all in sheer ease of use, it switches between floor surfaces better than all these and is lighter and easier to carry about/ up stairs etc.

I ordered this as I already owned a shark upright vacuum cleaner but wanted the new duo clean feature as I suspected it would be better on my hard floors downstairs, also I wanted something to more easily get into small spaces as our house isn't big, there are lots of awkward areas especially in the bathrooms and loft conversion.I was expecting good things because shark is a brand I trust and know to be good quality. My first impression as the package arrived was how heavy the box was to lift! After unpacking (the packaging is sturdy), I was pleased to see what high quality all the components were. There are a number of accessories. Firstly I put on the dusting brush and dusted my ceilings - it's really handy for this task.I'm glad of the hepa filter as I have asthma. Then I did the living room rug. It was virtually driving along the suction is so powerful.Next I tested it on the hard floors. It's brilliant, it actually picks the dirt up instead of snow ploughing it away from me. I am loving the new duo clean feature - amazing. After that I tried it on the stairs. I took the wand off and attached the main duo brush directly to the hand held part to make it more comfortable to use. I completed the stairs in no time. The stairs have never looked cleaner! I noticed the dust cup would probably benefit from being emptied by now. It was full because this vacuum cleaner is so powerful and efficient. This is fabulous because its better to remove as much dust as possible from the home when you have allergies and especially asthma. So overall I was expecting a model not quite as efficient as my shark upright model because this one is smaller and lighter. What I actually think is this model is superior because of the duoclean head being so efficient and how it fits into all the small spaces in my home. Its extremely powerful on the suction. Useful for dusting too not just for floors. It is not super lightweight - how could it be with high quality sturdy components? I've got arthritis and can manage it though. My teenage daughter used it for her room already - rose gold attracts teenage girls! She was very happy that her well trodden and flattened deep pile rug was transformed back to new! Highly recommended!

Shark is a relatively new brand for me. I was aware of the name and other models including their cordlessversion, so was pleased to sample and test this model the HV390UKT TruePet Model DuoClean. It is very easy to assemble and my initial observations were that it was so easy to manoeuvre and soonbecame used to the collection unit being at the top of the vacuum. I liked the way that it was easy to moveunder chairs without fuss. The big surprise was though it's power of suction. My previous vacuum was a1000 watt but this Shark's suction beat it hands down. It was very very effective. With the vacuum , you also have a number of tools including a motorised pet hair cleaner to be used in handheld mode.Whilst in that mode you can attach a long extension to reach those high and out of the way places. In addition you can reduce the length of the Shark to clean stairs. A big plus is the 10 metre cord which makeslife more comfortable rather than having to go from one electrical socket to another. The cord may be wrappedaround two apertures at the side of the vacuum. As the cord is so long, it raises a question mark about the need for a cordless. In operation I found it to be a lot quieter than previous vacuums which would drown out any other noise includingfront door bells. The days of not hearing anything else appear to be gone!I found the design of the vacuum really good although I note that with the collection unit being at the top it maybe slightly cumbersome for certain people. For me and probably the majority of people it was not an issue atall. Once the collection is unit is full, it is simple to empty straight into the bin. You merely detach the unit fromthe vacuum and empty away.It is also eco friendly. In summary this is a highly effective vacuum cleaner being easy to manoeuvre around the home and quickly giving youaccess to those hard to reach places. For me the suction power is the best I have experienced. Recommended.

This is a superbly designed product. The first thing to mention is how compact it packs down to. It fits wonderfully well in the small cupboard we have under the stairs and is very easy to left around due to its light weight and handy handle on the front. The reason it packs down so compact is the wonderful push button hinge half way down which is also an amazing design feature when the hoover is in use. The same hinge that means you can reach underneath sofas and other furniture also means the hoover folds in half for really neat storage. The main unit is the hand held section which also handily pops off as a small hand vacuum. It hasn't got a massive barrel for collecting bits but it's big enough and portable enough to do a number of rooms before a quick handy open mechanism lets you quickly empty it and get on with things. The pipe section seems sturdy yet lightweight and it comes with a main large brush head which is very well designed and a smaller version for the hand held hoover and a nossle style attachment for reaching down sofa cusions etc.Another great feature which is great to see is the long cable length. So often electrical products these days have a disappointing cable length...this one is pleasingly long enough for most rooms. In terms of suction its plenty powerful whilst also a lot quieter than other hoovers we've had.Any down sides? Well being picky, one disadvantage over a bigger unit style hoover is the lack of a retractable cord.....it does have two hooks and a clip to wrap it round and keep the cable tidy but compared with a pleasing foot pedal that zips the cable back in then this is a little fiddly.Another downside is that with the dust all collecting in the handle up high it can get heavy to push around as you start to get a full drum. These are minor issues though and overall I would highly recommend this as a tidy and multi functional hoover.

Brilliant piece of kit, and for £150 you can't fall off.I couldn't believe how much dirt this thing picks up.Easy to assemble, and glided around our large-ish house effortlessly in half the time it took our old Vax.By far the best hoover we've ever owned and was actually fun to use.Our 10 year old daughter could even use it and she did a great job !We decided on the corded version, as we couldn't be bothered with the risk of batteries running out half way through the job, and it's ready when you need it, essential when you have a busy house. And the cord is very generous at 10m.Easy to empty, not a huge capacity dirt collector, but it does for one full house worth.Larger than some of its competitors though.Handy access pannel removal to get to the hairs that wrap around the head.Quick switch to car size vacuum, extremely useful for doing the stairs.Didn't think the bendy hose would come in handy, but it's brilliant for getting under the dining table etc.Headlights make it look like a spaceship and we found it light and easy to manoeuvre with it's two carpet depth settings.Folds away and fits in our kitchen cupboard easily.Early days but all in all very impressed with this Shark.I hope this review doesn't come back to bite me on the bum.(Edit)Had this hoover for a few months now. It's still good, but you do need to give it a good clear out quite regularly. Not just the dust collector, the whole thing.Tubes get clogged, rotating pick up parts need de-tangled of hairs etc, soft roller in the head gets really thick of dirt, that stops the hoover from picking up at all.If you keep it clean snd clear it performs perfectly, if you don't, it's no use at all. It will just blow dirt around rather than suck it up.So look after it and it'll look after you.But maybe a lot more high maintenance than I was expecting.

After struggling with a DYSON for the past twelve years I ordered a Shark as thankfully my DYSON had departed to the home for elderly cleaners in the sky - aided and abetted by a good kicking from me when the switch broke. SHARK duly arrived and as I had ordered one for my daughter as well, it was a race to see which of us could get it up and running. Granddaughter - 5 minutes Granny 35 mins with a bit of help over Messenger! Who would have thought that a COVID 19 lockdown would have been turned into wonderland by a vacuum cleaner. As an arthritic I always struggled with attachments, but this is bliss. I hoovered the settee threatening my partner with extinction if he didn’t get out of the way.I could have made a cake with the crumbs I got from his chair - mine of course was absent of such horrors! The cat is shedding hair at the moment so my pet attachment was duly attached and the cat approached from behind. I thought about using it directly on her but she didn’t seem keen, so I turned to the carpet and amazingly it removed everything immediately. The stairs have always been a step too far from me but it is so easy to do them with this that they have been hoovered twice already.Close scrutiny of the visible filter was horrific, so I couldn’t wait for the month, and washed it out straightaway. Easy to get at and easy to do. Dried in the garden with an interested cat thinking it was a ball to play with! It’s brilliant, lighter than I thought and very easy to use. I am captivated but refuse to tell anyone about hoovering the mattress contents.Daughter reports that granddaughter is hoovering their house every day, and as they have the wand with the “eats up long hair quickly” attachment, is brushing her hair more to prove the point! Two very happy vacuumers - if there is such a word .....,

4½ StarsThis is a fabulous little vacuum cleaner with really strong suction but it does take a bit of getting used to. It is not a vacuum to stand upright and, at first, it feels a little unstable. It is comfortable to hold and the weight being near the top where you hold it is better for manoeuvrability than the traditional low down weight. The manufacturer does seem to have thought of everything for accessibility; the middle part actually bends so that you can get really low down and reach right under sofas, bookcases and other furniture. There are the usual tool accessories for sucking close to the wall/skirting board and cleaning curtains and sofas. There is also LOADS of cable – 10 metres of it.This is great for large rooms and plugging in at the top of the stairs and being able to do all the stairs and more without running out of wire part way down. This is one of those click together and pull apart cleaners, and it is so very easy to remove the middle section to make this a hand vacuum cleaner. It's not too noisy either and doesn't have that high pitched whine that leaves you deaf for the next 30 minutes. One slight down-side is the size of the dust tank. It is only small but is very easy to slot in and out for emptying that it's hardly a problem to empty after every use.Although it is top heavy and not possible to stand by itself, for storing away the vacuum folds in half at the click of a switch and can be easily stored in a fairly compact small area without falling over. It also has a little handle to lift it into and out of a cupboard for use or to pack away.It has a 1 year guarantee as a minimum but if purchased either directly from the manufacturer or an authorised dealer (check they are authorised when you decide to purchase) this increases to a 5 year guarantee.

I have tried many mains and Lithium Ion battery light weight vacuum cleaners including Dyson, Meile, Vax, Hoover, AEG and Bosch. For me personally this is the best I've ever used. Here's why.I will start by explaining that I don't need a really light vacuum cleaner - there are some people (my slight-built wife included) who would find this tiring to use after a while as it does take a bit of forearm strength. If you want a lightweight portable unit I'd suggest trying the Vax SlimVac as it's an impressive performer for the weight. This is something else entirely ; a full mains powered and highly versatile vacuum that folds down into an extraordinarily compact space. The pros :An ingenious folding design that allows the cleaner to bend at the joint while running, reaching underneath furniture with ease.No wasted space / mechanism to bring in the cable ; this is often heavy and bulky and doens't add much genuine convenience over the few seconds it takes to wrap or unwrap the coils.Powerful suction with a rotary head that seems to grab worn-in dust and dirt out of our old carpets.Agile, vacuums right to the edgesReally well engineered; all components fit well without any excessive play in the couplings. Very well considered all round and the materials seem to be built to last.Easy to empty and clean filtersPerfect for smaller apartments or spaces with limited storage. The only real drawback is that the mains motor resides near the wrist end of the machine so when you manipulate it it does demand some strength and endurance in the forearms. This is a shame - otherwise I'd recommend it for people who might struggle with heavier vacuum cleaners.I love it but I can see it's not for everyone.

This is a very impressive bit of kit - it can be used as a stand up cleaner or the top part can be detached and used as a hand held cleaner. Out of the box you get the cleaner, the main brush unit, a couple of accessories to use with the hand held cleaner, a quick start guide and a manual. It is quick and easy to assemble and I was up and running within minutes. The main brush is equipped with two LEDs that illuminate the area in front of the brush head and it has two settings - one for carpets and another for hard floors. The settings are controlled from the power switch at the top - no bending down to change the brush settings. It’s quick and easy to empty the cleaner too - the catchment boxdetached with one button press and another button press empties the container.Shark has a patented “flexology” system - it only means that the main tube can be folded in such a way that the brush can be deployed in hard to access areas, or stored more compactly. In use we found that this cleaner was more powerful than anything else we had - I almost lost an Apple charging cable whilst testing - and it sucked up dirt and grit very effectively. It wasn’t over-loud in use either. The things that stop this Shark getting 5 stars are:Not cordless - but there is a power trade off for sure - so the hand held configuration feels awkwardMains lead is coiled on the side of the unit (it’s not retractable). It is a chore to have to coil the lead up after useAwkward free standing - whilst you can fold the unit down, when in use it won’t stand upright on its own, you have to find somewhere to prop it up.But it’s cleaning power is impressive and it feels easy and light to use.

When you think of hoovering..... its one of those things that has to be done. Is it really exciting to blog about my Vacum ? Well to me this Vacum has changed my life and my cleaning routine!!! We don't talk often enough about these type of gadgets that make looking after our home easier. So when this Shark Duo Clean Vacum arrived at my door....this changed my vacuuming game. The Shark duo clean corded Vacum with flexology - model HV390UK comes easy to assemble in the box, just connect all the parts together and within around 5 minutes i was ready toThe ease of vacuuming my carpets has begun.... the main head of the vacuum is motorised and also has LED Lights that illuminate when vacuuming something I really like. The vacuum is easy to move and it did a really good job on the carpet in my lounge. I was also really surprised at the amount of dust / dirt that was collected in the unit as I had previous used my old hoover the day before. I love that this vacuum can reach under my units using the multiplex wand.Another great bonus of this machine is using the Motorised pet tool to clean the stairs. Literally takes no time at all to connect the tool to the dust compartment. It feels very light to use and so quick to perform this task.Overall this vacuum is everything I thought it would be . The Information booklet you receive is full of good information for the product . This product has at the time of this review a 5 Year guarantee. I would definitely recommend a Shark hoover to Family and Family.I would rate the quality of the Shark 5 / 5 ***** I also love the Design, the ease of use for the shark and suction of the machine is incredible.

Bought this product nearly a year ago, still going strong, we had an issue with it after a couple of months, where it lost suction - We do use it quite a lot as we have two small children who are always scattering crumbs and general debris and dirt, plus my wife's long and thick hair which seems to get everywhere.Anyway, after checking the filters I found one filter which was particularly susceptible to clogging with fine dust which seemed to dictate the performance of the suction of the unit, significantly enough to mean it wouldn't suck any dirt up at all, this filter is relatively easy to access and can be cleaned with a finger tip,so maybe once month I have to spend 5 minutes making sure the metal mesh cone shaped filter in the detachable dust box is clean, we also bought spare main filters to make sure there is always a dry one available while the old one dries out after cleaning. Also the roller lost power one day due to the build up of hair and dirt, but as the thing is designed for dismantling, getting in and clearing build up of hair and dust is also relatively easy.We are very happy with this purchase, it just requires proper maintenance.Three features I really like about this vacuum are:1. It is designed to be taken apart for basic maintenance and cleaning such as filters and rollers making such tasks quick and easy2. The roller brush has two speed settings for different surfaces and the base is detachable so can be used as a hand held also3. It folds up quite small and is pretty easy to store.I would recommend and I would buy again, it has so far to let me down in any significant way.
