Dyson has, once again, taken vacuuming to a new level. The V11 is compact, light and manoeuvrable and comes with all the tools you could ever need. I already own a Dyson upright and handheld, but this new model does the job of both - only better. On opening the box, you see straight away that nothing has been compromised. Dyson uses first class materials for all its products and they put as much effort into design as they do to function. Who would have thought that a domestic essential like a vacuum cleaner could become a design icon? But that is what successive generations of Dysons have been. They each have an immediate aesthetic appeal and this one is no exception. The motor is ultra small and quiet and can be programmed by a simple push button on the top to work in one of three modes, depending on the level of power needed. In eco mode it is so quiet that even the dog didn’t flinch. On higher powers, the battery life is reduced, but a single charge is more than enough to clean the whole of my house. Moreover, it is so light and comfortable to use and the mini ball technology allows almost unlimited manoeuvrability and easy access under furniture and in spaces that are no go areas when using a larger vacuum cleaner. I have a back problem, so this is especially welcome. With the wand removed, the V11 becomes a powerful handheld and the tools connect straight to the motor housing. I really like the soft brush which is perfect for dusting my computer keyboard. It’s great for the car too. With the wand reattached, I tried the special hard floor head. This has brushes with a particularly soft, velvety texture, ensuring that expensive laminates and natural materials are not scratched. The main, motorised head can also be used for this job, as the stiffer brushes automatically adjust to different flooring types. For gadget fanatics like me there is even a little screen on the top of the motor where clever graphics give operating information, battery life, etc. Very neat! The V11 comes complete with a sturdy charging dock which can be screwed to the wall, keeping the vacuum handy, charged and always ready for use. Alternatively, you can connect the charger directly. If fitting the wall dock, you should remember to leave sufficient space so that the long tube can be left attached during storage and there are fixings to stash tools on the dock as well as a clip that fixes to the vacuum to enable selected attachments to be carried easily when cleaning around the house. Most importantly, the suction is excellent at all power settings. The dust collector is deceptively large - similar to the compact upright I already have - and emptying is really simple. Just hold over the bin, push a a sprung latch and you are done. No dust clouds and no mess. I am an asthmatic and this is a really well designed feature. Finally, for dog owners, the V11 is another faithful friend. It finds all the dog hairs I usually miss and effortlessly cleans up bedding etc.So, in summary, the V11 combines usual Dyson quality with superlative convenience and versatility in a compact, powerful package. I didn’t think I could be smitten by a vacuum cleaner, but I am with this one!

For many years I have used Dyson Corded Upright Vacuum Cleaners (the first being a DC03 and latterly, the DC33). Initially I was sceptical about how a cordless Dyson would perform and live up to a corded machine – my main concerns being suction, cleaning power and battery life, but after using the Dyson V11 Absolute, I wouldn’t go back to a corded vacuum cleaner. The brand-new Dyson V11 Absolute is a savvy piece of technology that brings pure joy to vacuuming. After removing all the parts from the box, it was very simple to assemble and easy to put on charge. After a three hour charge it was good to go. The LCD screen is a nice touch and counts down, letting you know how much vacuuming time you have left, depending on which power mode you are using. There are three modes to choose from Eco, Auto and Boost. The LCD screen also shows you on-screen tutorials for blockages and filter washing/removal.On the first full charge, I quite easily vacuumed five large carpeted rooms and one hard floor room, with at least 20 minutes of vacuuming time left. I used various power modes, and It was totally effortless, gliding from room to room, from carpet to hard floor with no need to change any settings. There is no loss of suction and I was totally amazed at how much dust and fine particles the V11 collected. I thought my Dyson DC33 was doing a good job but the Dyson V11 put it to shame when I saw the amount of dust collected on my initial clean. The Dyson V11 Absolute comes with six tools which are very easy to change with the press of a single button, transforming the machine between upright and hand-held quickly and easily. When you change to the crevice tool or combination tool, you can easily reach the ceiling and cornicing removing all those pesky cobwebs. Also, when using the High Torque Cleaning head, it really gets into all the tricky corners and it was great to get under radiators without having to change the head and getting under the dining room table without having to move all the chairs is a dream. I am now finding it is so much easier to do the vacuuming every day without dragging out the big corded upright, no more risk of tripping over the cable or snagging under the doors, thus the Dyson V11 has now turned vacuuming into a good chore and not a dreaded chore. Now I’ve got a Dyson V11 Absolute, I’ll never go back to corded and my old Dyson DC33 is now redundant and sulks in the corner, because there’s a new piece of “tech on the block”, namely the V11, that’s taken its place.I honestly can’t find anything negative to report about the V11, even the colours of it are beautiful (iridescent blue wand with red and purple brush heads) some of my favourite colours. If you’ve ever had a second thought about trying a Dyson Cordless Vacuum, don’t wait anymore, go out and get a Dyson V11 Absolute and release yourself of vacuuming drudgery. 5 stars all the way!!

Where do I start with this amazing machine from Dyson. It has certainly opened my eyes to a new way of hoovering that I never knew could exist. I have always been sceptical in getting a cordless hoover - but Dyson you have lived up to my expectations and a lot more. Goodbye to my old faithful corded model. Hello cordless Dyson. I absolutely love everything about this model. Cordless vacuuming where have you been. Having my Dyson for a week now my 3 bedroom house has never looked cleaner and has put a new lease to my carpets as they look so fresh and new again. Maybe because I just want to use this hoover all the time or perhaps it because this model is so convient to pull from the cupboard and hoover.Hoovering is a joy now not a chore. I have a mix of wooden flooring, heavy piled carpets and thick piled rugs and the transition to each floor type is amazing adjusting the power to suit each flooring type. For example on the auto mode the digital display automatically adjusts the power between the different surfaces adjusting the battery time for each floor type. How genius. The genius technology allows me to hoover from top to bottom in my house with one charge still retaining more charge of the hoover once I am finished and showing you the exact time you have left before you need to recharge. Seeing the dirt gather in the hygienic bin you honestly would think there is nothing more to get out my carpets and rugs but how wrong can I be. It just goes to show how powerful the suction is and how incredible it can still suck up deep into the pile of my carpet and rugs. I have asthma and Pets and love the point and shoot to eject the dust and debris from this bin direct into my bucket meaning you don’t need to touch any of the dirt. I love the convenience of just grabbing a cordless hoover and it has made hoovering an absolute pleasure. I also love how the digital display will alert you when the machine requires attention which is genius. Saves you getting out a manual as the display provides step by step instructions on the screen to help you. Love the attachments that come with the hoover. Especially the one for doing my stairs. Cleaning my stairs I always used to dread but this machine makes stair cleaning so easy and quick. For car owners you won’t be disappointed. To be able to grab the machine and hoover your mats has never been easier. Something I always found difficult with my corded Dyson. Showroom standards now on my car mats. So would I change anything. Probably not. But too early to see how the battery lasts as I have only been using it for a week but you do get a two year Dyson guarantee so fingers crossed. The only other observation is I would have loved to have somewhere to keep/hang my other attachments. Only the soft roller and the stair attachment. Well done Dyson. Genius machine and a pleasure to use.

Dyson V11 Absolute. As a previous Dyson owner I had high expectations of the V11. I was not disappointed. Our house has a mix of solid wood floors and carpets, 2 large dogs and 2 large teen/ 20's rugby playing boys. So cleaning up is a constant job. What can I say... this machine is so clever! Suction seems stronger and battery life wow much longer. What I like is the new feature of a sensor in the motorised head that detects the change from hard floors to carpet automatically it makes cleaning up a breeze and ensures your Dyson is using less battery power on the wooden floors then increasing power on the carpeted areas. I cannot praise this function enough. This machine is seriously good at picking up dirt. With my previous Dyson (a V8) there were few areas for improvement (or so I thought). The V11 has a digital display at the top of the machine with a mode button incorporated showing which mode you are in, but also how much battery power you have left. This is a clever addition, because there is no need to run round the house, hoping that the machine does not power down just as you need it. This digital display also allows you to easily see the percentage of battery life whilst the machine is charging, added to which it charges faster than my last model and lasts so much longer. I easily managed to vacuum the whole house, a large 3 bedroom with power in reserve. This was impossible with my old V8. When I compare to my older model, the V11 is taller, this is due to the dust collector being vertical rather than horizontal and it holds so much more dust. I find (at 5' 7") that this very comfortable. My Husband (at 6' 2") agrees and he finds that the machine is so much easier to empty, no more hovering over the bin hoping the waste goes in, with this collection system you remove the tube and aim the dust collector right inside the bin, no more dusty mishaps. He also likes the plastic tool-holder which mounts on the machine which enables you to swap from one tool to another without having to carry spare tools around. Lastly, small details... there is a rubber strip on the reverse of the battery... we have both found that this eliminates the dreaded 'slip' down walls or cupboards if you rest the machine for a moment. He likes the fact that we don't need to use the V11 on boost yet (despite boys & dogs )unlike our old V8 which was constantly used in boost mode to ensure all dog hair and dirt was picked up.So in summary... the suction (on auto let alone boost) is incredible for a cordless (we did have a DC41 upright that we won't be using again), the battery life is excellent, the digital indicator is easily readable and a real boon, and definitely recommend.

As a family of four with two dogs, we create a lot of mess on a daily basis. However nothing we do is too much for our new Dyson V11 absolute. We couldn't believe that it has over an hour usage time from a full charge when eco mode is selected on the digital screen. Don't be tricked into thinking that eco mode means that it won't do a good job, "because it picks up everything in that mode". The other 2 modes are for extreme cleaning. We live in a 4 bed, 3 bathroom house with a selection of laminate flooring, tiles and carpets and even after a very thorough clean there's still plenty of power in the battery to do it all again. With all the different heads and attachments it comes with, there's no job it can't tackle. We've even vacuumed the car with it and there was no mess left behind in the car mats thanks to the small power head with rollers. Dyson have designed a holder that attaches to the main pipe, which is perfect for holding 2 more head attachments. So now when you come across that cobweb in the corner of the ceiling, or collection of dust behind the fridge you can simply switch heads and remove the dust without damaging your coving or delicate parts thanks to the soft bristle head and narrow long reach heads that now go wherever you go. I seriously love the auto setting that detects a change in surface, then adjusts the power required to best clean it. You notice an increase in power when moving from laminate to carpet, then again from carpet to laminate it changes back again. If you do find something that requires more suction, a simple tap of the button increases the power to 2 more settings, so now nothing gets left behind. The digital screen on the back is brilliant, if something becomes trapped in the pipe or if you don't twist the filter to closed position the screen shows you what to remove and where to check. It literally does everything for you. It even tells you exactly how many minutes of usage time you have left, so now I will never have to worry if I will have enough battery to do that extra chore before needing another chargeThe ease of use is like nothing I've used before, it simply glides around the house and with the slightest twist of the wrist it navigates round corners getting into all manner of hidden spaces. The waste tank empties so easily, simply push the slider forward and it dumps the contents from the front. So no more missing the bin whilst trying to judge where it will open. I used to hate vacuuming the house, but now it's almost enjoyable. I've noticed that no matter how big or small I reach for my Dyson as it does it all.

Bought Cordless V11 Absolute brand new £599 some outlets 0% finance £25 per month over 2 yrsThings I liked.- Top cordless vacuum on Which.- It easily does my house in one charge. (Had 2 x heart attacks and not good on my feet.)- Very powerful and extra when you need it. (3 power modes)- Cleaning is fabulous on carpet.- Fabulous second by second battery indicator level.- Mess free tool change and emptying.- Auto head feature gears up or down to suit the floor type and save battery life. Great Feature!- Tools are well designed and you will find that you use them lots.- Stairs are a doddle.- Getting between and underneath furniture fantastic.- Ignore reviews suggesting the switch is a problem,It isn't. Dyson include it to preserve the battery life span. Intermittent stops prolong life for extra years use.Things I did not like.- Charging time. 3.5 to 4 hours.- V11 is Dyson's heaviest cordless at 3kg. I cope with it well, the V10 is lighter but has less battery life and suction and will not come with the Auto head.GenerallyI can not quite believe the difference this has made to my life. Now, the thing is my house was dirty with a big shedding dog. The V11 cleared up the lot, then some. I used it heavily, deep cleaned everything and the switch broke after 2 weeks use. Nevertheless Dyson replaced it immediately, no quibble, no questions. They told me I have just been unlucky as mine was the only one they had ever had back, and yes I believed them. After SalesYou get a 2 yr guarantee and if you don't like it after the first 35 days they will give you your money back. No matter where you originally bought it. I simply swapped the machine for a brand new one.Another useful point is that when Dyson cordless machines are out of guarantee you can get parts easily and the machines are easy to DIY. It is part of their sustainability ethos. You can also book an engineer to come out to you fixing everything for £99 with a free battery replacement and a further guarantee.ConclusionI advise you think again if you want to buy an alternative to a Dyson Cordless. Which magazine say you can not get parts for a Samsung Powerstick for example and I am not sure about any extended guarantee arrangements. You would have to look into it.Finally, Whatever your budget. You will not regret this purchase.Should you buy it. Yes!

In November 2017 I moved from an upright and a cylinder (both corded) to the Dyson V8. This was because of a bad back. Although I kept both older models, I haven’t used them since. So, I am reviewing this from two perspectives: new to a Dyson cordless and also an upgrade to a V11.It’s still very early days (I’ve only had it three or four days), but I have to say I’m very impressed: it is bigger and better than the V8 and light years ahead on the older corded machines. As many people have remarked before, it changes the way you vacuum. No longer do you have to go the broom cupboard, manhandle it out, unwind the cable and then find a plug socket that will enable you to get the most coverage without swapping it over for every different room, because you never run out of cable. Now, because it’s hanging close by, I just grab it off its docking station and off I go. Little and often is usually the way I clean with it. This suits me very well.I find that the new main cleaning (heavy torque) head is the one I use for everything on the floor. It automatically adjusts itself when I move from carpet to tile and back again. This means no changing heads while vacuuming the floors. The battery life has been increased markedly, as has the capacity if the bin. I found that with my previous corded machines, I had to empty the bin outside in the main dustbin as the contents would fly out everywhere. Now with the Dyson, I can safely empty it in the kitchen bin without fear of the contents going everywhere. On the top of the machine there is single button to change the power. There are three levels of power: Eco, Auto and boost. I’m still experimenting with this, but I’m finding that the Eco mode is fine for most of my carpets. Above the button is a small circular led screen. This gives a constant read out of the estimated battery time left. Also, if the device experiences a blockage this also warns you and shows how to clear it or wash the filter: brilliant. Also new is the holder on the wand on which two of the small extra tools sits. This saves having to stick these in my pocket as I move around. The Dysons are much quieter than my old upright (non-Dyson) model. All things considered I would strongly recommend this machine to anyone considering the purchase of a new vacuum cleaner.

I will be very honest and admit that I wrote to Dyson a few years ago quoting that I would never buy another Dyson vacuum cleaner again ever due to the DC 33 although perfect for straight forward carpet cleaning was absolutely ridiculous and slightly dangerous when using all the small tool attachments for the other cleaning jobs around the house (many people had made the same complaint), for these I bought another hand held vacuum with attachments and have soldiered on with both appliances to do the housework for several years. With the advent of battery powered vacuum cleaners I said to myself never would I buy one and stood fast for quite some time. Then a month ago I thought to myself itstime for a new Vacuum cleaner and could a battery one really be the way forward so I bit the bullitt and rang Dyson where they said you've got nothing to worry about in trying a new vacuum cleaner because if you were not happy you could return it within a timed period for a full refund so I ordered the Dyson V11 Absolute.Oh WOW what an amazing machine they won't be getting it back.Where to start, its fast, powerful, agile, gets in every spot you could imagine, the tools change at the click of your fingers with no fuss and safely its always ready to go straight from the wall bracket at a moment's notice no more looking for the most convenient wall socket to plug in the tiresome plug with the long lead that your always tripping over or gathering up so as you don't.It basically reaches places in the simplest of moves and then the simplest of operations to empty and place back in wall bracket for charging, no mess, no fuss, no complications I love it.Because its so simple to grab and go I have been using it every other day since buying it, I did start with the high settings at first but now I use the lower settings and without sounding like a cliche my carpets are now feel genuinely softer and fluffy and they look cleaner now, and the whole cleaning thing no longer feels such a chore.I thoroughly recommend the Dyson V11 Absolute, I have thoroughly tried and tested it and I am very satisfied and it will not be going back, it is slightly expensive but it is the top model and I think it will pay dividends in the long run.

I've owned several Dyson vacuum cleaners over the years, including 2 cordless versions. I've found them all great, but their latest model, the V11 Absolute, is the best ever and I was lucky enough to be given it to test out for an honest review. All my previous Dyson machines have been purchased by me, the last machine I bought being the V8 Absolute and while I'm completely happy with it's performance, there are a couple of things that I found a bit tiresome. Firstly I have a combination carpet, various rugs and laminate flooring throughout my house and having to swap between the various heads several times a bit of a nuisance.Secondly my house is only a small 2 bed terrace but I can only just get round it all with the standard power setting on the V8 - if I needed to boost the power, I couldn't get it all done. Plus when the battery runs out, it just goes without warning, which is really frustrating part way through vacuuming the stairs. The V11 has solved both those issues - when using the high torque cleaner head I no longer need to swap the attachments over when vacuuming the floors; I can use the same head throughout the house, the machine senses whether it's carpet or hard floor and adjusts the all the settings itself. Plus the display screen shows exactly how many minutes of battery life I have left on each power setting, so there's no worry of whether I have enough juice left to finish the job. Having said that the battery life is a huge improvement on the V8 and I can easily get round the whole house (including extra bits like upholstery, wooden blinds etc) on one full charge. Not only is the battery life improved, the suction power on the standard/automatic setting is brilliant. Even though the intelligent sensors change the power setting, you can still adjust them manually and boost the power, but so far I've not needed to. The amount of dirt & fibres this machine picks up is unbelievable. I was truly shocked how much more the V11 picked up on the automatic compared to my V8. The only downside this (if you can call it that) is that I needed to empty the bin more often, but that’s a trade off I’ll happily make.All-in-all a brilliant all round vacuum cleaner.

Love this machine,it is so easy to use and makes light work of any surface you want to vacuum. It benefits from the new intelligent head that can change from carpet to hardfloor and vice versa without having to change or adjust anything. The hard floor head is so soft and velvety and picks up every little piece of dirt or fluff, even bits of grit that is so easily brought in the house on someone’s shoe. It even has the intelligence to tell you how much running time you have left depending on what setting you have it on. There are three levels of power that you can choose to use, they are:- economy, medium, and boost, I have been more than happy with the eco setting as even this picks up better than my previous cord free vacuum from another manufacturer.I have a rug which has different lengths of wool and my other vacuum struggled with this, but not the Dyson V11 absolute it picks up everything with ease. There are another four attachments, there’s a smaller roller attachment which is brilliant for sofa’s, stairs car upholstery and it even adjusts with a little slide so you can hoover the front of each stair with ease, the other attatchments are great too, something for every surface. I love how easy it is to empty, with a little slide the end opens and the dirt goes straight into the bin without you having to touch it, always a huge benefit. There is one filter at the end of the main compartment, a little twist and it releases allowing you to run it under the tap to clean it, so simple. As I have already said I am delighted with the V11, but there are a couple of very minor changes or enhancements I would make, one being the on/off button, whenever I pick the machine up, I seem to always touch this before I mean to, and I would prefer the machine to switch on and off with just one press of the button, instead of having to keep your finger on it continually. The other would be to add a light to the machine for hoovering under the bed where it can be quite dark. Apart from that, I would highly recommend the Dyson V11 vacuum, I absolutely love it and I’m sure you will to.

The one time Dyson could of took a page or two from their competitors and they missed out with this model. I'm 6ft my wife is 5ft and she thought the DC11 was too big, heavy and clunky. I found it totally the opposite and loved the feel of of it. I would go so far as to say it felt as if it was designed by males for males which got my wife down. Our older cordless hoover is a Shark and by comparison my wife prefers that model. It's very light compared to the DC11. Dyson missed out by not putting led lights on the motorised heads which is a great feature and there is no where to store the additional tools. This is a dissapointing feature. One of the motorised heads is a buffer for laminate which is a great feature and another motorised head for carpet. Then there is a small motorised head for the stairs. We done the cleaner comparison e.g. two carpets one cleaned with a Dyson and one cleaned with a Shark. Then we switched. We could not believe what we got out of the carpet with the Dyson DC11, that had been cleaned by the Shark first. We were both pretty impressed with the results. The Dyson has a sensor which detects the correct power of the motor assembly. And it even has a battery indicator of power left. You can even override the power setting, making it less or more.Just a pity the Dyson didn't learn from the Shark with the changeable battery provision as well. The on/off trigger was awkward compared to the Shark for my wife who has little hands and it was not as comfortable for her to use as the Shark. Now for me, I loved it and did not find any major issues. Yes the lights is a feature the Dyson has missed out on and the lack of an accessories bag is a disappointment. Just a shame you should not have to go looking for something to put those accesories in. However, I found it nicely balanced and a smart pice of kit.For all the hubbies out there, if you have thought of getting a cordless, then you won't go far wrong with a DC11.

I had the earlier Dyson v8 and an ageing corded DC22 of 10 years. The new Dyson v11 doesn’t disappoint. Simple to use - just one button - and an easy to see, coloured LCD screen located on the top of the appliance. There is no complicated operating menu. Tapping the button sets the machine into Auto, Eco and Boost modes. It’s the ideal appliance for people who want a state-of the-art device but don’t want to be bamboozled by a hierarchy of operating settings/gizmos. In “auto” mode the machine automatically adapts the performance settings as it crosses over different floor surfaces. I particularly like how the machine senses a change in floor type (my home has carpet, wood floor and uneven kitchen slate tiles),and how it changes the operation mode automatically without me doing anything. At the same time, useful information is displayed on the LCD screen on how much energy is being used and the remaining battery time left. The motorised cleaning heads are of strong construction and well designed as you would expect from Dyson. All are easily attached and remain firm. The smaller cleaning head I found really good for picking up stubborn cat and rabbit hair. When you do need a burst of extra suction a quick tap of the top button gives additional power. Very easy, very simple. The machine’s hand grip is well designed, comfortable to hold and the trigger switch is light on the index finger. It has a much larger dust container which is quickly emptied by a ‘pull down’ sliding lever. Emptying the contents is uncomplicated and straightforward - no mess, no annoying spillage and no drama. The v11 is light and manoeuvrable enough to be used by all members of our household. A featherweight it might be, but it outperforms any cleaner owned before. All things considered now seriously thinking of passing on the older Dysons to family relatives as the v11 easily meets all our household cleaning needs.

I admit to being a fan of Dyson products (if not, perhaps, of the prices!); the V11 Absolute is our third machine (at the moment we still have a small hand-held and a V8 Animal). Dyson’s innovation and quality of engineering has transformed household cleaning across the planet – no more lugging hefty machines around, constantly catching the power cord on furniture and struggling on the stairs. The V11 Absolute works extremely well. It is noticeably heavier than the V8, but that brings a bigger battery for longer cleaning time and extra power when you need it. Power is easily controlled by a button on the head, and the associated display constantly shows which mode you’re in.Most of the time we use the ‘Auto’ mode in which the machine detects the type of surface it’s working on and adjusts its power accordingly – we find that excellent for hard floors and fitted carpets. The ‘Boost’ mode comes in handy occasionally but usually the ‘Auto’ setting provides all the power we need. We have some Persian carpets that deserve quite careful treatment and we use the ‘Eco’ mode for these – it’s gentler and seems OK. Expected battery life (in minutes) is displayed all the time; we’ve never got near having to stop cleaning for a re-charge, and don’t expect to.The lightweight ‘wand’ and the highly-articulated head make cleaning awkward areas (around chairs, under tables etc, and into corners) remarkably easy.Emptying is really easy, so is re-stowing the machine on its wall-mounted charger – you just drop it into place. There’s a little tool-holder that clips onto the ‘wand’ so that a couple of attachments are always easily to hand. The ‘stairs’ head (take the ‘wand’ off and fit the stairs head) is also motorised and extremely effective. As a minor, but ecologically nice, point the machine arrives packed entirely in cardboard and paper – no polythene bags and no polystyrene foam.

Living in a family home with a dog, cat & teenagers the v11 easily tackles my every day cleaning challenges. I have been using the v11 over the past week and as yet can't fault it.I particularly like the the display screen which allows me to see how much time I have remaining depending which suction mode and cleaner head I have chosen. When using the Auto mode with the high torque cleaner head you can clearly see how different floor surface require different suction making it easy to manoeuvre over carpets, rugs, laminate, tiles and wooden floors. As the time is also adjusted it helps me to make the most time efficient choices when cleaning different areas in the house. The eco mode has been great for when I needed to do a deeper clean of a room with the facility to easily reach and clean picture rails, tops of doors and other areas which I would often omit. With pet hair often visible on chairs and sofa's now with the boost mode this is no longer an issue and being able to easily use the v11 to clean the car interior helps that to be a fur free zone as well. The feature that the display shows you when and how to wash the filter and clear a blockage I know will be really helpful to allow for easy maintenance. I like the trigger on & off which is responsive and comfortable to hold. The dust compartment makes it very easy to eject the dirt without having to touch it and to avoid accidentally pushing the trigger when emptying, it helps to turn the unit over. There is a useful holder for two extra tools which clips onto the wand and this addition allows me to have the right tool for the job at hand. For every day cleaning and getting impressive results whilst making the most effective use of my time, this is easily the best vacuum cleaner I have ever used.

This is my first cordless model, an upgrade from the DC03 which has served well for a few years. I was impressed by the strong suction and good pick up and it has overcome my concerns that such a small light-weight cleaner would not replace a conventional wired model. There is a rather cool and very useful digital touch screen which tells you how much time is left before charging and also gives warnings and directions on some other features such as clearing blockages. You use a button next to the screen to select the power level between eco, normal and boost, making it easy to select. After a full charge, the display showed 68 mins on eco, 44 on normal and just 9 on boost. However,I can't imagine you would need to put on boost very often, if at all. You can cover a lot of ground in 45-60 mins so from a practical point a view this is good. It has an intelligent charger so you can just leave on charge all the time so no need to worry. Using the wall mount near a plug means you can charge whilst you store and attach spare tools on it too. The head automatically detects the type of floor and will switch to eco automatically on hard floors. I found eco was pretty good on carpets too.
