I decided to give a potentially bashed, battered, bruised, used or abused Henry a new home.I got fed up with the Dyson having to take the tube off and attach the wand all the time. To get round, underneath and behind stuff downstairs. So, he arrived on time and was soon showing why so many pros use them. He has a nose for dust. The airo brush, although not an original, is excellent on carpet. I suspect better than my old Dyson. Which is now upstairs.Considering he'd probably already had a hard life he was in great order. Little obvious to show for it.Well, he's now defo a welcome member of my home.Easy to use. Allows eager to clean. And with two levels of power. 600/1200 he's not heavy on juice. Most cleaning is done in 600w mode, by the way. Perfectly good suck. And he came with all the extras, some of which will probably never be used. They're not originals, the ad made that clear. But they're as good, so what. So, I think you could do worse, and spend more, than giving a used Henry, from d7-jon Amazon Seller, a decent home.NUMATIC HVX200A2 Henry Xtra Vacuum Cleaner, 580 Watt, Red/Black

My much loved cordless Shark has broken down and there is no means of fixing it during this lockdown. Needed a good, but inexpensive hoover in the meantime and after some research, opted for the Henry Xtra. I am very impressed. Really decent amount of power and the Airo brush attachment is terrific at getting up dog hair and fluff. I also like the other attachment for hardwood floors which takes dust and grit from the floor with no trouble at all. The hoover has a long power cord which is very useful - we have a small cottage and I can reach all downstairs rooms without having to unplug and plug in somewhere else. It's not the easiest to manoeuvre around corners however, but not too heavy to pick up momentarily and move. It's not so good for stairs as it's a large hoover (so doesn't sit on a stair) and is heavy to carry up, whilst trying to hoover at the same time. Have found with using the long tube attachments, I can manage half the stairs from the hall and the other half from the landing upstairs. For me, this is the only drawback, otherwise, as said, I'm very impressed with it.

After much convincing of my wife, whose childhood was scarred by memories of having to vacuum with a Henry, I finally got the green light to give Henry a try. We replaced an aging upright Vax.And I must say, we're both extremely impressed. The suction power on Henry is amazing - far better than my Vax ever was. Better than any Dyson I've used. Comparable to, and probably better than, the suction on some old energy sucking U.S.A. uprights I've used in the past. And the convenience of cleaning nooks and crannies is unbeat on a Henry! The hose is huge, and you can quickly clean everywhere easily - a must have for any London house which is dominated by nooks and crannies and odd arrangements.Probably an upright would be better if your house is just huge empty floors.Otherwise, stick with a Henry. It's really worth it.I'd say the main benefit of the Xtra is the included spinning brush for carpets - makes cleaning non-delicate carpets much easier than the normal attachment.

I bought the HVX200A2 Henry vacuum cleaner mainly because I'd seen them in use in various businesses and offices. I wanted a change from the bagless vacuums I'd had for a number of years (Dyson & Vax) as I found them rather messy, with filters which always seemed to need cleaning (Dyson & Vax) and also not robustly built (Vax).Although I haven't had the Henry that long, I feel that its suction is stronger than my last two bagless vacuums, and the build is certainly more robust. In these respects, it is better operationally - and since it cost about the same, it's better value for money.I only have two minor gripes with the Henry. First, the tubes tend to come apart while in use. Second, there is no proper instruction manual, just a series of pictures; this may be fine for a stapler or a toy, but is inadequate and inappropriate for a vacuum cleaner. (I had to e-mail customer services to get the answer not covered by their comic strip pictures.)

I like the fact it has bags as excellent for allergy sufferers. The Henry bags are a reasonable price and take ages to fill, they are very well made and substantial. Excellent mobility, brilliant for doing the stairs and reaching up to the ceiling, into corners and edges. Attachments are brilliant- one for delicate materials, the Henry Extra is a good buy as it includes extra tools including the powerful airobrush. Can't fault it. Elderly might find Henry Extra too heavy to lift although the wheels do give good mobility on the flat. Henry Extra has a very long lead so no problems with doing a wide area and the stairs without having to move the plug. Manual rewind.Best vacuum cleaner I have ever had and I have spent a lot of money on expensive brands in my time! Can do carpets or hard floors. Really shifts the dust and dirt and cobwebs. Solid construction.

WOW ... Now that's what I call a vacuum cleaner. I've had cordless and bagless vacuum cleaners previously, everyone seems to be using bagless and I honestly thought they were the best option. How wrong I was, from now on I will only need Henry, I had forgotten how good it is to have all the dust & grime safely in a bag. No more emtying a cylinder and accidently dropping it, spreading the contents everywhere. Henry Xtra comes with a spare bag and every tool you need for cleaning, the AiroBrush takes carpet cleaning to the next level, actively lifting stubborn dust, dirt and hairs from the carpet. Henry has excellent capacity, ease of maneuverability, a great all rounder. Seriously, what's not to like?Kudos Numatic 10/10 Henry is Simply The Best - Better Than All The Rest.

I have been using a henry in the workshop for a couple of years. It sucks up swarf, sawdust offcuts of metal and wood. I was amazed when I decided to replace the bag to find it absolutely stuffed solid and yet I had detected no loss of power when cleaning up the workshop. Ironically, I was using it to clean the filter on the Vax I used at home. The reason I persisted with the bagless cleaner was the beater bar for cleaning carpets. Emptying a bagless cleaner, then trying to clean the filter element was a horrible job. When I saw Numatic sells a Henry with a beater head attachment I bought it for home use.A quick test shows the Henry power head removes dirt that the other cleaner failed to remove

I was resistant to having a Henry but was outvoted by my family. I must say that it is very powerful my carpets have never Been so clean. It sucks up the dog and cat hair no problem. It is so powerful that I have to use it on low power or it sticks to the carpet and I don't have the strength to move it! , this is due to my strength and is not a negative point. My cleaner who is young fit and able loves it. The only negative is that I find it really hard to change the brush heads as they seem to get stuck probably due to the suction power! I would definitely recommend and will never go back to a Hoover or dyson which I had previously but broke down within months if purchase.

Absolutely love this hoover, had an old bulky Dyson which was just a nightmare to use. The small little brush head attachment is fantastic for getting into corners and fetching dust out of corners. The suction is so powerful it actually lifts up my carpets although they are fairly cheap and need replacing. It can be slightly difficult to manoeuvre Henry around corners as he tends to get stuck but honestly he doesn't weigh that much and the carry handle seems very robust. Cable is also nice and long - I live in a small terrace house and can service most of it without unplugging. Just very good value for money overall.

When our 2400W Vax blew up, I was apprehensive about replacing it with such a much less powerful device. Less powerful electrically, that is, because this unit has incredible suction power - far better than that 2400W model mentioned. It is quiet in use, has a nice long hose and the bags last for ages. I don't understand how they have done it, but the suction power of this machine has to be witnessed to be believed. It has no frills or fancy features, so not many things to go wrong, and it has the simple manual wind-in power cable which works perfectly. An excellent buy.

Henry is a national treasure and should receive a knighthood, seriously though, this is a very good vacuum. After buying four vacuums in the last 3 years I was getting a bit peed off with the money I've wasted on poor hoovers (including a Shark, which was useless). You get good suction all the time and never gets blocked up with all the dogs hairs unlike my last vac (shark) which just got clogged up every time I used it. Also the extras you get with this are excellent, all the tools you'll ever need. Very happy with purchase and wish I bought this a few years ago.

I have been using a well known upright brand for many years. 2 versions later of which both lost suction even after cleaning, changing filters and unblocking I decided it was time for a change. Roll in Henry. I love him, great suction manoeuvrability and great for cleaning stairs. Selection of tools that came with Henry are great for getting my daughters hair out of the carpet and great suction see to all of the pet hair on my hard floors. Also happy that I no longer have to dodge the dust cloud when I have to empty Henry as was often the case with my old upright.

Life saver. I avoided this for many years in favour of lightness and maneouvrability, but a baby spider infestation meant I had to buy this one. Not only does it take care of that problem easily without needing to get close or flush tissues, it securely stores the insects in a sealed bag that means nothing to fear when time to change it. It’s a hassle plugging it in and moving it about, but worth it. The suction is also better, although it is not clear which attachments are meant for basic carpets, so it feels “wrong” when using it. Does the job, however.

We bought this Henry to replace an old Henry. In the meantime, our lovely neighbour let us use their brand new Shark DuoClean for pets. There is no comparison. Henry is lighter, has monumentally better suction, is better suited to a house with stairs, has a MUCH longer cord (What's the point of a cord that only has the reach of one room?), and IT PICKS UP HAIR! The amount of hair left by the Shark was shocking. The bristles on the Henry attachments dig into the carpet, gathering up any manner of hair or those never-say-die black, sock bits. I LOVE HENRY!

Henry is brilliant! the old vacuum could only cope with about a third of a room before it overheated and gave up so I decided it had to go. Previous incumbents couldn't cope at all with the hall carpet due to a very tightly woven pile. sadly this same pile clung on to very piece of dust and fluff as though it's life depended on it. Henry soon took care of that! it's actually clean for the first time in years. Wouldn't swap him for cordless fancy-pants vacuum based on that alone but he has a ridiculously long cord, so he may as well be a cordless really
