Not only does this look classy (weird thing to say to describe a vacuum cleaner, I know, but it really does!), but it exudes quality and looks the business. This model comes with two batteries (one which was already fitted to the back of the vacuum) and the other, separately packed. The twin charger has suckers on the bottom, which is a good idea to help stabilise wherever you choose to keep the charging station and although the batteries had half-charge when it arrived, I removed the battery attached to the vacuum and put it on the charger along with the other one to make sure I gave them both a good charge. The batteries clearly indicate with power-level lights just how much charge is remaining so you know when they are fully charged or just how much charge is left. The charger also has a jack so you can charge a battery whilst it is attached to the vacuum, rather than removing it, if wished.Right, now on to the vacuum itself. There’s so much to say, I’m not sure where to start! The vacuum was easy enough to put together from the clear instructions provided and I started off by using the main floor head attached and on full extension. (There are settings that can easily be changed for hard floor or carpet.)It feels like it is pushing itself along to a certain extent and takes minimal effort to move around. I love how the floor head moves and angles itself around where you are going (no more having to consistently lift the vacuum to get around corners and past things!). It takes a bit more effort to pull the vacuum backwards as you are going against the direction it wants to go, but if you have a big enough room where you can go around without having to reverse, then this won’t apply.Favourite Bit #1 - A blue light displays on the floor head when in use and if you go over or suck up something you shouldn’t, the light turns to red – which I find really useful. I hate it when I haven’t noticed that I’ve vacuumed up something I shouldn’t have until I am faced with a screaming vacuum, smelling of burning plastic and hair, which then refuses to work for ages. I now don’t have that problem! There’s also a turbo button which can be pulled like a trigger, giving you extra power when you need it, but it should be said that the standard suction power of this this vacuum is really good to start with.Favourite Bit #2 – A button on the underside of the handle means the vacuum bends the other way (not sure how to describe this – think of flexible Flamingo legs!), meaning you can get under sofas, beds etc. without having to limbo or lie on the floor whilst pushing your now almost horizontal machine underneath. The ability of being able to get properly under the beds without having to move the whole thing out or bed over double is fantastic. The extension and floor head can also be easily removed so that the main part of the vacuum can be used as a handheld – great for doing hard to reach places like stairs, upholstery, or even the car. You can also use the long wand on the handheld (Goodbye cobwebs!).Attachments: This model comes with lots of quality attachments, including a small motorised pet tool, an anti-allergy dust brush and a crevice tool, to name but a few – all of which work exceptionally well. I think you can also purchase other specialist attachments in addition to add to the many already supplied if you wish, but the range that came with this vacuum are more than plenty for me.Favourite Bit #3 – Having the anti-hair wrap on the floor head is a brilliant design. I think most of us have spent more time than we would like, grimly trying to tear clumps of wound-in hair from around a vacuum brush, at some point in our lives. On the Shark, this anti-wrap seems to really work too from what I have seen so far.Emptying the vacuum is simple too with an easy to use sliding lid. You need to keep on top of the filters by cleaning the pre-motor one once a month and the post-motor one once a year. I haven’t had this vacuum long enough to do this yet, but the instructions on how to do it are clear and by the looks of it, isn’t complicated or time consuming.Favourite Bit #4 – Another button allows you to fold the vacuum over on itself once you’ve finished, meaning it takes up a lot less room – another brilliant design feature.Favourite Bit #5 – No more cables to trip up! Ok, it’s cordless, so there wouldn’t be but I’m just so happy that there is no more searching for a plug (one that’s invariably hidden behind something or when it means you can’t quite reach the middle two stairs without having to find an extension cable) AND unlike a lot of cordless vacuums, this one allows a massive amount of use before requiring recharging (and you’ve always got the spare battery too.)Really, really impressed with this. It’s expensive, but paying for quality and great functionality is ok if it delivers and this Shark definitely does that!

General Features 4/5The vacuum is solidly built, and all tools have a very solid click to them. All materials seem to be very high quality and the build quality is much better than expected. The vacuum is quite a bit heavier than other stick vacs I’ve tried. It has 2 lights on the front of it. This is nice but not really needed. At first, I thought they might be for UV light to kill bugs, but they are just lights. The LED indicators are simple and easy to understand. They are solid in use and blink when charging. It has a 5yr limited warranty and a 2yr limited battery warranty.Settings 4/5It has 3 main settings to choose from on the main switch. These are Off, Carpet and Hard Floors. The only difference with the carpet setting is that the motor runs faster to fight the resistance provided by the carpet. There is also a trigger setting which provides an even faster speed setting when desired. The constant function means you don’t have to use the trigger all the time which is easier than with a Dyson which can hurt your hand.Other Buttons, Filters 2/5I found the 2 open buttons a big confusing at first. The slider is to empty dirt and the other one is to remove the bin to access the filters. The filters do not have rubber seals around them, which may allow small quantities of dust to pass through them. It has 2 filters back-to-back.Tools 4/5The mini motorised tool is good and powerful for use on stairs or furniture. The other tools are manual. There are 2 different crevice tools, a dusting brush, and an upholstery tool.Bin Emptying 2/5The bin can only be emptied when there are no tools attached. I was very disappointed with the bin emptying, which is not aided in any way by a slider as with other stick vacuums I’ve tried. Bin emptying is something which can really make or break a good vacuum.Charger 4/5The vacuum cannot be wall mounted but it does come with a charging pack which can charge 2 batteries simultaneously. 2 batteries are supplied in the box. This means that in a large home you can charge and use at the same time. The batteries provide 80mins of vacuuming time.“Flexology” 2/5This feature helps when going under objects. It’s ok but not absolutely needed. I noticed that the ground clearance is a bit worse than my Dyson V8 for going under objects.Cleaning Heads 4/5The cleaning head is a 2-in-one, as opposed to having to switch out hard and soft heads. Soft heads are used for hard floor and brushes are used on carpets. The disadvantage with this design is that the bristles may be crushed on a hard floor. Having said this, they do seem very strong. The soft brush has a comb to remove dirt from it which is a good feature. The soft roller can be easily replaced using a button, but I couldn’t see a way to remove the brush roller. In Use 3/5The vacuum really pulls itself along during use. This helps on the out stroke but must be fought with on the in stroke. This is fine though and it was easy to get used to. I found it was great in straight lines and could corner fine, but if you get the wrong angle it would get a bit stuck. The power is fine and did seem to extract quite a lot of dust, but the power does seem less than a Dyson.ConclusionsThis Shark vacuum is powerful enough and will suck up quite a bit of dust, but the bin emptying makes it harder to use. Some of the features such as “Flexology” and Lighting are gimmicks and don’t really make life any easier. The lack of wall-mounting for charging makes it less enjoyable to use and means that batteries must be removed before charging. The hard + soft floor cleaning head is good and works well. The motorised tool is also very good. But at this price it is hard to recommend it over a Dyson stick cleaner.

This is my first ever experience with a Shark vacuum and I am blown away by how amazing it is and am now a Shark convert. The superb suction power on this vacuum is immense. I first tried out this vacuum not long after the carpets had been vacuumed by our existing vacuum and even though the carpets looked free from dust and dirt after a quick run around the carpets with the Shark model I was left speechless with how much dust and dirt it had picked up from a seemingly clean floor! The strength of the power means that even miniscule molecules of dust, dirt and mess are vacuumed up effortlessly. For stubborn mess or abundant dirt the vacuum features a handy boost switch for added vacuuming power.Since using this vacuum my carpets look fresh and a whole lot cleaner than ever before. As well as vacuuming my carpets like a dream it also works brilliantly on hard floors. It is easy to switch between carpet and hard floor settings plus it glides smoothly across all surfaces.I love that it is cordless so I can vacuum anywhere in the house without worrying about tripping over a power cord. It’s also fantastic that it comes with two powerful, long lasting batteries. The generous run time on the battery is brilliant as I can vacuum my whole house with battery to spare without needing to use the second battery, but it is great that I have a backup just in case. I also appreciate the fact that as well as charging the battery on the vacuum you can also charge the battery in a compact, dedicated charging station that accommodates both batteries. One of my favourite features is the anti hair wrap technology. No more having to clean and unwrap unsightly hairs or fabric threads from the vacuum roll on the head!Even though the suction is extremely powerful the vacuum is relatively lightweight. The vacuum and all of its components feel durable and are made to a high quality. It is easy to assemble and switch between different tools and modes. It can be used as a standard cordless vacuum with long handle or as handheld vacuum so that you can not only vacuum floors but also reach high places, vacuum the stairs and even vacuum the car. It comes with a wide range of practical tools that adapts to your vacuuming needs for ultimate cleaning. Plus the long handle features flexology technology so the vacuum can easily reach hard to reach places such as under furniture which is a fantastic feature. The flexology wand feature allows you to fold the vacuum in half for easy, compact storage. The vacuum has a large bagless dirt/dust container that accommodates a good volume of dust and debris so you don't have to empty it after every vacuum (depending on quantity of mess and area vacuumed). Emptying the vacuum is easy to do at the click of a button. It is also easy to clean. I also love that the main vacuum tool head has useful LED lights so you can see in dark areas - perfect for when using the flexology wand to clean under furniture - which helps see whether the dirt, dust and debris has been vacuumed. The only way this vacuum could be improved would be with a handy tool bag coming with the vacuum as a standard extra to help store the variety of tools that come with it. As a sufferer of chronic pain vacuuming is usually a dreaded chore with it feeling hard work to maneuver a heavy vacuum but thanks to the lightweight compact design and the fact that it moves effortlessly along floors this Shark vacuum has lightened the load and made it easier for me to independently care for my own home without causing me too much discomfort. I adore this innovative vacuum which has transformed my cleaning routine making vacuuming a breeze. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

If you are looking for a cordless vacuum, there are lots of real positives about this one, but also some points you should be aware of, at the end of this review.Good points:- Comes packed mainly in cardboard (recyclable - good). Some plastic bags wrapping components, but no large bits of polystyrene- Easy to assemble - just slot the motor assembly into the top of the long tube, and brush unit into the bottom- 2 big batteries. I did most of my house (4 bed) with one pack, no problem, so you should never run out of power.- Flexible charging - you can charge both batteries at once in the separate charging unit (which has rubber sticker feet to hold in place),or you can charge one battery in situ in the vacuum if you have a plug near where you keep it- Simple controls - just slide a switch to one of 2 settings, for hard or carpet floor. These change the speed of the autobrush. There is a trigger to provide a short 'boost' to power, e.g., for stubborn hairs.- Light and easy to manoeuvre. The brush unit is on smooth wheels that roll easily over all surfaces. The long handle gets under cabinets and sofas, and if you have trouble bending, you can make the handle flex in the middle to get under low spaces more easily. There is even a light on the front of the brush to see what you are doing in dark spaces- Simple to empty the dust, just remove the motor unit from the top of the handle, one button to unlock and then slide a slider to push the rubbish out into the bin.- Converts simply into a hand-held cleaner by removing from the long handle. There are a host of additional heads provided: velour dusting heads, small roller, simple T-bar suction head, crevice tool. And if you need, you can buy even more from the Shark website!- Convenient to store. Simply folds in half in the middle, via the flexible joint in the tube, and stands up like that. This then takes up a very small foot print in a cupboard. There are some niggles to note though:1. The vacuum depends on the brush head for its cleaning action. The suction itself is not that strong (compared to a cylinder like a Miele). It depends on the brush head to dislodge dirt and hair, rather than pulling it up by suction alone. Therefore, although there are two cleaning modes, BOTH require the brush. We have loop-pile carpets in parts of our house, and these must NOT be cleaned with brushes (ruins the surface). So, sadly, this vacuum is no good for those.2. Because the motor unit is heavy and the brush unit is light, you cannot stand the vacuum up whilst working without folding it up. Otherwise it just falls over. If you are so tidy that you are just vacuuming round furniture, that is fine. But if you have a messy family like me, vacuuming is at least half picking up magazines, toys, phone chargers and various other detritus. Having to either do this one-handed, whilst juggling the vacuum, or trying to find somewhere to prop the machine up temporarily, is slightly annoying. As I said, the above niggles may not apply to you, or you may think these are entirely trivial. In which case, there is nothing to fault this vacuum, which cleans well, is easy to use and well-designed. A local cleaning company near us actually advertises "all cleaners use Shark equipment", so it must be good!

I'm impressed..I didn't expect to be if I'm honest, in fact I thought I'd be giving it a good kicking as it'd have to be pretty damn good to justify the price.Well it is.There's a 'quick start' guide included in the box, but it's so obvious how the parts fit together that a child of five could do it (so fetch me a child of five, ?). Every section of this feels beautifully ENGINEERED, the click to lock/unlock buttons are included on every part (including the attachments) and this is an important point: how often have you inserted a nozzle in a hose or extension that's slightly narrower than the tube you're placing it in and it's fallen out - then you really shove it in tightly and you need to be built like Arnie to haul it out again. With this you just press the button and pull gently; bliss..When switched on it's surprising just how POWERFUL it feels - it was literally tugging at me like a dog who's spotted his favourite lamp-post. One of the things you notice immediately is the bright led lights on the front which really illuminate the area in front of the head. When I were a lad, (and dinosaurs ruled the Earth) all vacuum cleaners had a light on the front (that was the other thing that terrified your pets) but I used to wonder why they were there as they never did anything much, but they're particularly relevant on this beauty, because of the 'Flexology' feature - one press of the grey button halfway up the main wand transforms it in a way analogous to the human arm, enabling you to vacuum those normally inaccessible places such as under your bed or sofa - now I don't know about you, but I'd be frankly embarrassed to admit how rarely I can be bothered to pull the bed all the way out to vac the area beneath, with this you can just reach all the way underneath, with the lower half of the wand horizontal, and the bright led's scarily illustrating just how long it HAS been..Transforming to handheld mode is an absolute breeze; one button press and a gentle pull (no tugging required) and there's a comprehensive range of attachments, including tools for upholstery, crevices, dusting and a motorised pet tool amongst others and all of them have the same one-click gentle pull on/off fitting. There's a 'Boost' trigger on the underside of the handle which is completely intuitive to use which turbo-charges the unit when depressed. Even in full boost mode it's quite quiet too.The battery, like every other part of the machine, is easy to remove and I found it took 3 and a half hours to charge fully from completely discharged, and with the Duo model you've got an extra battery and a charging dock that'll hold both, effectively doubling the usage time. For storage, you use the same grey button you used to turn it into an under-bed dust terminator, you just flip it the other way (see pic), and when it's folded up like this it occupies about the same space as a cylinder vac, which is a pretty neat trick. In summary, this is an awesome piece of kit - a well-engineered, totally transformable, complete home cleaning tool,Recommended.

I already have a vacuum that I continue to use for when I'm vacuuming the whole house, or even whole rooms. I got the cordless vacuum for awkward jobs (like stairs, or the car) or for small, quick jobs where it feels like too much effort to get the large vacuum out. This is my use-case, but the shark cordless vacuum is clearly designed as a "do everything" vacuum due to the wealth of attachments, including a long pole with standard rolling vacuum head for floors. The vacuum comes with 2 batteries and a charging station. The charging station accommodates 2 batteries at once. It doesn't take long to charge the batteries, official time is 3.5 hours but I found it to be fully charged (all 3 lights on solid)in just under 3 hours. When fully charged the batteries last well. Official time is 40 minutes and this feels about right, although when using the boost mode (for more suction) this amount reduces. A coupe of times I've had 2 empty batteries ,but have charged them for 10-15 minutes and this have given me a minute of use, just enough time to vacuum up after the kids have eaten diner. To show the charge left in the battery there are 3 lights (as seen in the first photo), so you can easily tell when the battery is fully charged, or roughly how much charge is left. The vacuum performs well. It's not got the same strength in suction as my standard upright, but it's pretty impressive for a battery powered vacuum. It essentially has 3 modes; hard floor, carpet (which only only changes roller speeds), and boost mode which has extra suction. Even in boost mode I found that suction around the edges was a little lacking. Where my upright would suck in bits of dirt, this vacuum isn't quite able. This was also the case for some more stubborn dirt/items that the vacuum could roll right over. There are loads of tools that come with the vacuum, making it very versatile. The long hose also has a nice feature where it can be bent so that vacuuming under objects like tables or sofas is easy. Switching between the tools is very simple, as is removing/fitting the battery or emptying the collector. One downside is the capacity of the collector bin which is very small (see second photo). It's a sacrifice in order to make the vacuum small and portable, but even when doing small jobs, I have to empty the bin each time. if you were vacuuming your whole house it would probably need emptying a couple of times or more.Overall I really like this vacuum. It's made jobs like vacuuming the stairs and the car much much simpler, which means I do them more often. Quick jobs like vacuuming around the dining table after the kids have dropped crumbs everywhere is now a very quick and simple job. Although it has less power than an corded upright and less capacity, the ease of use and mobility more than make up for it.I would happily recommend this.

Initial impressions are that (nearly) £500 is a helluva lot for a cordless vacuum cleaner. However, it comes out of the box and assembles very easily and comes with a plethora of heads (most of which, I'm unlikely ever to need). A nice touch is that the power, and turbo buttons and the dust bucket release catch all have big, removable labels so that first time operation is a doddle. There is also a spare battery which may be useful for very large residences, although I'm not sure whether I'd want to use a cordless in a 15 bed mansion.Like many cordless cleaners it is made rather cumbersome and top heavy by the battery. It only stands upright if you lean it against a wall,or "break" the long wand to double it over into "storage mode". A bit of a faff I feel, but not a deal breaker. One positive is the comparatively large dust bucket which means you won't need to empty it before you reach the 15th bedroom of your mansion. The motor feels powerful (better than some cordless vacuums Ibve played with) and, with the turbo boost, there's bags of suck. Now, having run this around my three bed bungalow (a mix of wood and carpet) I can report back that I am moderately impressed. I was determined to dislike the machine, but it seems to have coped well enough with an intermediate level clean. Not perfect by any means, but it happily sucked up the dust, fluff and some smallish leaves and coped with this all on a single charge (just). True enough, on walking back down the house I noted a few kitties that Id missed, but perhaps that was my own inattention rather than the vacuums capabilities. Manoeuvrable and reasonably well balanced and it fair dragged itself along the carpets by force of the powered rotary brush. Im not convinced by the turbo setting which I would prefer to have on all the time. The flexible wand which allows you to Hoover under furniture without bending your own back was fun but perhaps a little gimmicky.Overall I would rate this highly as a go-to cleaner for a small, mixed floor residence or as a fall back option for larger homes when breaking out the big guns seems like too much hard work. As for the price, however, I'm less happy and it seems like a ridiculous amount of cash for what you get. Perhaps Shark would try to argue that the extra battery and the range of heads justify the price; I would counter that the battery is probably a nice-to-have rather than a need-to-have and most of the extra heads and accessories will lurk, unloved and unwanted, in the bottom of the broom cupboard until the Judgement Day Trump sounds.

Seriously, this is proper powerful. And I mean with the head detached, so you can feel the suction. There's a turbo boost lever in the main handle - and this ups the suction power from good to serious! The battery is huge, and substantial (this is the 80 minute version, having two 40 min batteries). I've yet to get the first battery run down, in two weeks. It's extremely impressive. This is our third cordless vacuum cleaner. The first was a Dyson - and pretty good. The second a Hoover, which was basically a clone of the Dyson - similar power, not quite so well made, but much cheaper. This is a different beast altogether. Maybe that's why it's called a Shark. It's taken the Dyson ideas and run with it.So you get Dyson level toughness - very thick, robust plastic, but with incredible power, and lots of useful tricks, such as:* a disentangler, so pet hairs don't jam up the head* a lever on the main tube, which lets it bend (like a flamingo's knee) so you can get under furniture* lights so you can see dust up ahead* a turbo lever for when you want to pick up something heavier* very easy emptying* a decent size dust container* separate battery charger, so you can charge one while using the otherThis model comes with plenty of tubes and nozzles for all jobs. It's worth understanding how the Dyson and Hoover cordless vacuums seem so good - the trick is in the head. There's an electric motor that basically picks up dirt and flicks it into the tube. The cleaner then needs only enough power to suck this flicked-up dirt into the container - it doesn't need the power to suck directly from the carpet etc. When you try to use lower powered cordless vacuums for sucking along skirting boards, with a nozzle, the vacuum power is noticeably feeble - just enough, but nothing like with a mains corded machine. That's where the Shark cordless takes it to the next level. Using it without the head, the vacuum power is really good, even more so with a narrow nozzle, and when you turn on the turbo power it sucks just like a mains powered unit. If you use it to suck the skin off your hand, you'll see pulls the skin up just like a conventional corded vacuum. Really impressed - this is the future or cordless vacuums, here at last!

I got this after I'd seen a lot of rave reviews from dog owners on instagram. I've had a Dyson of various types for years, the most recent being the V10 hand held I got last year, so my experience is a comparison of the two.First up, it comes with a removable battery, and you get two batteries with this version. Very helpful, for a couple of reasons (for me anyway), I don't have to store it near a power source and I always run out of power when I've got a small bit left to finish off. Haven't fully drained either battery yet, but it helps that I can switch them over easily. The next thing that's helpful, is the vacuum head. You only get one motorised head, but the power setting allowed you to easily switch between carpet and hard floors. It also doesn't feel as powerful as the Dyson does (which does a very good job at getting my carpets clean). The two things that the Shark has got that I really like. First the motorised head has nylon fins on it, which gets stubborn things off the carpet. The other is the hinge in the stick, which you can open to get under furniture. I have a golden retriever, and hard floors in my living room. This means dust bunny central, normally I'd have to move the sofa to get all the fur up, not any more! The attachments are also pretty good, but the smaller motorised head is nowhere near as good on the stairs carpet as the Dyson is. It's also heavier than the Dyson, so if weight is a concern, then you might be better off with a Dyson. Also, emptying the collected dust from it isn't as slick as the Dyson (who finally made it easier by allowing you to effectively eject the dust).I'll probably end up putting one upstairs and the other down so I don't need to cart them around. Both have pros and cons, and I wouldn't say one is better than the other, but I'm definitely going to be using them for different purposes.

This is my first cordless vacuum and I have to say I am pretty impressed. I had always thought that a cordless machine would be less powerful than a cylinder cleaner but that isn't the case. This one has plenty of power with a boost button should you need it and makes light work of cleaning carpets and hard flooring. I love the LED lights at the front of the head which actually illuminate properly. There is the usual range of attachments is included - dust brush, crevice & upholstery tools. You can detach the battery and dust container to use on stairs, upholstery & curtains or other awkward spots. There are some neat features too. You can semi-detach the 'wand' to easily clean under furniture.Use the clip also to drop the top half down against the bottom half for storage. Unsurprisingly there isn't anywhere to store tools and it is a shame that there isn't a bag included to hold the various bits & bobs as there is with other vacuums. A bag is available as an optional extra from the Shark website but at the price of this machine I would have expected it to be included as standard. The version I have has two batteries and a battery charge/holder. It takes around three hours to re-charge the battery from dead and having the spare battery is very useful as I couldn't clean all of our house with just one battery which gives about 40 minutes of charge. Somewhat strangely the battery just stops working without any warning, rather than a gradual loss of function. One thing to note is that the vacuum does feel quite heavy - you are carrying the battery/motor rather than simply dragging it around. For some people this might be a problem. Other than that, build quality is good - the various clips, etc all connect with a reassuring click, nothing rattles, removing debris from the roller is straightforward. The dust container empties easily.

I am absolutely delighted with this cordless vacuum cleaner, it's so much better than my previous one in so many ways. I tested it out on a carpet that I thought was pretty clean anyway and it picked up so much dust that I was amazed. So, the things I love about it, in no particular order: It folds away neatly and doesn't take up much storage space, the wand is flexible and folds back on itself and it then stands unsupported on the main hoover head. All the attachments come in a cardboard box, the one I use most is the crevice tool which is excellent for doing the stairs and getting cobwebs down. The manuals are explicit and easy to understand and are nice thin booklets in English only. The hoover is pretty intuitive anyway, but there are yellow labels stuck on to tell you what it does and I'm leaving them on until I get used to it. It's really flexible and I love the bendy wand, and you can take the wand off altogether for ease of use when doing stairs and vacuuming the car. It's so easy to empty, just hold it over the bin and unlatch the dust container. It comes with an extra battery which you can keep charged up and just swap over when it runs out. The run time for a fully charged battery is 40 minutes (I haven't actually tested this yet) but as I only use it for a few minutes at a time, the battery should last ages. I'm not sure about the anti-hair wrap facility, my wife has long hair and it does tend to wind around the brush roller, but unlike my old cordless hoover, it is really easy to remove as the brushes are spaced quite widely apart. We have a cat, so there's a lot of cat hair to clean up, and this machine has no problem at all with that. All in all, I am really pleased and enjoy using it. Yes, it is rather expensive, but in the long run the quality is so superior to other models that it's worth spending the money.

Bought the shark anti hair wrap with pet attachment about 2-3 weeks ago after thoroughly researching hoovers. We previously had a Dyson which we were becoming unsatisfied with despite a recent service to make sure that it was working as it was supposed to. As a household with a dog, 2 small children and someone with long hair, it was important to find a hoover that was going to lift up hair without it tangling in the bristles as it did with the previous hoover. We took the plunge and ordered the hoover. Even before getting the hoover we were impressed with the delivery as we ordered it on a Saturday and was surprised that it was delivered so quickly; recieving it on the Sunday! On first using the hoover, despite having hoovered the day before we could not believe the amount of dirt and hair that it picked up!!! It was as if we hadn't been hoovering before!!! The hoover was easy to set up, the instructions were clear and all the attachments were very handy. We ordered the one with 2 batteries which is very useful.......I managed to hoover the entire house (3 bed semi) with the use of 1 battery, bar the bathroom and downstairs toilet. This was going over the same room a few times with the pet attachment and using the booster button so was quite impressed as I had heard previously that cordless hoovers didn't last very long. Having the 2nd battery to finish off the other rooms was great. The handheld feature is great for doing the stairs and to do small jobs.If you're thinking of buying this hoover, don't think about it any more, its so handy, powerful and picks up so much more than your old one probably did!!!

The first thing that struck me about this shark cordless vacuum cleaner is that shark have provided 2 Batteries and charger dock as opposed to other companies that normally only provide one. The vacuum came in three main parts to assemble which was easy to do (The main vacuum, the tube which is not extendable, and the rotary vacuum head). They also provide five other attachments which look like one for stairs, one for curtains, one with a wide head and also one for getting into hard to reach places. The battery charger dock has suction cups underneath so that they can be placed on the floor and not move around. To use the shark vacuum, you pull a switch which has three positions; off, carpets, hardwood floors. When you turn it on to lights come on on the vacuum head which is great for getting underneath the bed and you can also collapse the tube to make it easy to reach. I also found in use on carpets that The vacuum almost pulls it self forwards Making it very easy to use and the light weight also significantly helps. It is also extremely easy to move around, whether it’s forwards and backwards or at angles. For storing, the vacuum folds in half to make it more compact and convenient to hide under the stairs. In my opinion, Shark have provided a cordless vacuum to rival Dyson’s and has the additional benefit of having lights, being more compact to store away, and providing 2 batteries, compared to Dyson’s one. It’s a superb vacuum with great suction power-which reminds me that there is also a trigger on the handle to increase suction power when the vacuum is on. I would definitely recommend this.

I have been using this cordless vacuum cleaner for a few days now and all I can say is that it may be the best vacuum I have tried so far. Comes with various tools that adapts to your home cleaning as well as 2x lithium-ion batteries giving you up to 80mn runtime!Easy to assemble and very lightweight, this vacuum is perfect for any home either on bare floor or carpets. it glides on your floors effortlessly. The anti hair wrap function is a blessing if you have any animals in your house, no hair get tangled up in the brush, making your life easier and not waste time getting all hair off your vacuum brush. The motorised pet brush included is also very practical for pet bedding but also to use on stairs. The flexology function is also so useful,I never managed to get under my furniture or bed properly before, however with the Flexology wand, you can get in these hard to reach areas without any efforts. The same function allows you to fold the vacuum in half for easy storage. The dust cup is quite large and you don't need to empty it every time you vacuum. it is however very easy to empty by just clicking on the side of the dust bin to open the trap. You can also clean it very easily. The LED front lights are very useful, dark corners or areas can no longer be missed and you can see perfectly whether the debris/dirt has been vacuumed or not. Overall I am extremely happy with this vacuum cleaner and would highly recommend it. Every home should own a Shark product of such high quality! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I purchased the Shark as opposed to another brand for the anti-hair wrap technology which doesn't disappoint. It was also time for me to graduate to cordless. I have long hair and I also do a lot of sewing and cotton threads get everywhere in the house plus I have a cat and cat hairs get embedded in the carpet - the Shark copes with all these brilliantly - no more tediously cutting hair and cotton threads from the brush roll. The instruction leaflet is very clear and it took me less than 10 minutes to unpack and assemble. The Shark is amazingly lightweight, nimble, versatile and manoeuvrable enabling cleaning in awkward nooks and crannies and I get my house cleaned in much less time.Although one can purchase a range of accessories and additional attachments it comes already with all the attachments needed to reach high to cobweb ceilings and reach low under furniture. Its more than just a vacuum cleaner for the floor I am now using it for dusting instead of a cloth feather duster - its like a total cleaning system for the whole home. I particularly love the effortless click & lock system for attaching and removing the various attachments - its a really clever system. The battery life is very good - I get a lot done on one charge. Although its good on carpets I'd say it comes into its own on hard floors such as laminate. All in all I'm very pleased with the Shark.
