I have a Total Home Master 2-in-1 Steam Cleaner S7 which I bought on offer about 15 months ago on offer. It is the first steam cleaner that I have ever purchased and although it does what is claimed that it does I had not considered my specific requirements.The S7 has been fine for cleaning my kitchen and bathroom floors but in each room I have 2 walls tiled to the ceiling. This where I have found the S84-W7-P is much more use to me. With the water tank being situated at the hand end the balance makes it so much easier to use when reaching. No longer do I have to stand in the bath and still struggle to reach ceiling height – I’m only 5’6”. I can now stand firmly on the floor and let the S84 do the reaching.

I bought this product as I own several items from the Vax range, and have been very impressed with all of them. I must say, that I was not disappointed with this steam cleaner. Previously we have only owned a cheap, hand held model, with limited functions. This Vax is a very well made machine. Easy to assemble straight out of the box. The first job was to try it out on the kitchen and bathroom floors. The reservoirs are easy to detach, to add the water and detergent. It generated steam very quickly. Both floors were clean in no time, without having to refill. Next was the through lounge carpet, as we have two small dogs. It is so easy to attach the carpet glider, and its nice to be able to refresh the carpet,

Had previously bought the Vax S5 kitchen and bathroom master steam mop, which took a long time to warm up and felt a little flimsy. After using it for about three years it started to blow the electrics every time it was plugged in so it was time for a new one. I decided on the Vax Steam Fresh Power Plus S84-W7-P after reading the reviews. It arrived this morning and I am extremely happy with it. Heats up in seconds and is ready to use. It is light and extremely easy to manouvre. The 360 head and triangle cleaning head gets easily into every corner with ease, and enables the mop to get further under smaller spaces such as under the free standing bath.

Instructions very clear and easy to understand. Assembly very simple and quick. Changing from floor cleaning to hand held, smooth operation. Cleaning - does what it says on the box, floors are hygienically clean and virtually dry, so able to walk on floors soon after no waiting. As hand held using the soft brush cleans tiles beautifully and the swivel head is a plus, just wipe over with a micro cloth for a sparkle streak free finish, light to hold so can do a large area in one. Also the small directional nozzle makes cleaning around taps and awkward places very quick and simple. Would have given 5 stars if the micro pads had a cut out for the brush attachment to protrude so scrubbing and wiping at the same time,

This is my third Vax floor cleaner (the second Steam Fresh Power Plus) and I have been very satisfied with each one. The Power Plus is easy to use and the choice of settings makes it effective when in use.My only complaint (and the reason why I have only given it 4*) is the problem of storing it safely. The machine is not free-standing so it must be stored using the storage bracket which comes with it.Unfortunately the machine handle simply rests in the bracket. There is no way to secure it, so even if given only a slight nudge when passing it, it is prone to fall out of the bracket. This is what happened to my original Power Plus, resulting in the body cracking,

I purchased this item as I wanted something powerful and compact for all my steaming needs and this ticks all the boxes. I can now get rid of my other steamers and free up some much needed storage. I love the way that you hang it on the wall hanger provided which means it is always handy and ready for action. I initially thought that the water and detergent dispensers were ridiculously small but, to my amazement, one fill up provided enough steam to clean my kitchen floor tiles and the sealed wood floor of my large lounge. The reason I have not given five stars is that when you use as a steam mop it is not freestanding. Also, the weight of the steamer unit can make it rather ungainly.

I thought this would be the answer to my irregular stone floors and indeed it is better than the fixed brush scrubbers. I do wonder if the designers of these machines actually use them though as the front corner of the attached steam cloth just curls up under the plate after a short time. It needs a proper attachment point. I would like to have a sheen to my floors and the thing I have been trying to avoid is yet another 'go' over the floors each time I clean them - first needing to vacuum up the 'half dog' in fur before washing, but it now looks as though I will need to consider applying a polish!

My Vax-Steam Fresh Power Plus steam cleaner arrived very quickly, very well packed and in perfect condition. I am very impressed with the build quality of the cleaner. It is supplied with useful assessories and a generous length of bright turquoise cable. Tried the steam cleaner for the first time on a very dull stained en-suite floor and the steam cleaner brought it up looking almost new first time using the detergent. Tried the left over solution on the shower tiles and whilst I will need to have a proper go at these, it did start to clean them very well.I really recommend this product, it's compact,

Needed to replace my steamer as I had been using bleach with it during coronavirus pandemic ( think this broke it so wouldn’t recommend doing this !!) Have used this steamer twice so far and I’m loving it. So it makes a bit of a clicking noise when it gets started but I spoke to customer service and they have assured me this is usual and should only happen for a short while. I love the steam shot you can do - really helps around my pets food bowls where jelly gets stuck to the floor. Detergent smells nice. I have very high shine floor tiles and no streaking occurs. I have put in less detergent than the recommended amount as I get through my floor without using it all so found it was wasted.

I really did not expect this machine to produce such amazing results, nor did I expect it to be quite as versatile. There again, it's a trusted brand that, yet again did not let me down. Having the option of using detergent and various levels of steam release is very considerate indeed. It is also a bonus having a trigger mechanism to release or stop the steam flow and likewise for the easy transition between each of its amazing multiple functions. Easy and discrete storage wall mount is a great idea but my only criticism is that of the cable as it's quite stiff and a wee bit heavy (me being 'pickie'). And finally, it's 'oh so quiet'. :-)

Was lucky enough to be given the opportunity to try this at reduced price I have only so far used it as a upright floor cleaner not yet tried it as the hand held but for using upright it was light easy to use and push around good steam production did not leave the floor to wet like the fact it has the detergent use with to make sure floors are extra clean have taken one star off as the mop pads seem to ruffle up at front and expose head to rub on floor but otherwise happy with machine is a lot lighter and easier to manoeuvre to my other vax steam cleaner I have

Bought this to replace an old steam cleaner and it does have better features, a long power cord that is a bonus and the ability to use with detergent. Also the scrub facility is very handy. We have used it on tiled and laminate floors and very impressed with the drying time, it is very quick. Also used to refresh a rug and again impressed.Only thing we did not like was the way I'd does not stand up, it did come with a wall bracket for storage but a wall bracket is not suitable for use in the cupboard we store it in therefore have to be careful to prop it up.

I've used this 4 or 5 times now and the steam it produces is excellent and it cleans the floor well.I've only given it 4 stars because there are a couple of design things that I would change. The first is that it would be goiod if there was a mechanism that held the handle in place so I didn't have to prop it against a wall whilst it was heating up. Also unlike my other vax steamer it doesn't produce steam as soon as its hot enough, but it takes time. The first time I used it I thought I hadn't put it together properly!!

Have held off writing this review until I had used my machine a few times, took me a couple of tries to use it properly, ie I didn’t realise I had to keep the trigger pressed all the time to get continual steam and to change it so that the steam came out of the bottom and not the front (not quite sure why it does come out the front as I’d then be walking on the floor I had just washed!). That said, it’s very quick drying, doesn’t use too much water, has a great long cable and is easy to adapt to what you need it for.

I purchased this product in desperation, as I was really struggling to get my white tiles looking clean. I read the Which? reviews and this came out really well m, so I thought it was worth the investment! It’s amazing! It has literally saved me hours in time in effort( I have a lot of tiles) it’s so easy to use, and not too heavy either. As well as using it to clean the whole floor, it’s easy and quick enough to whip out and use on a spill (I have young kids) ! I wish I’d bought it months ago!!
