I have walked about 600 miles in these on 1 and 2 week walks and day walks and they were comfortable from the moment I put them on. I like that the sole and last are stiff enough to save your feet from getting tired from stones and rocks but flexible and well shaped so that they just roll from heel to toe. The grip is the most reliable of any boot I have owned, (including Vibram soles). I have walked in rain for days on end and through shallow bogs and my feet have always stayed dry. My normal shoe size is 9 but for walking boots I always wear a merino liner sock with a trekking mid outer sock for comfort and to avoid any chafing of sock against skin, so I chose size 9.5 boots which fit perfectly.

Boot is comfortable to wear and size appears to fit exactly as indicated. The one odd thing is that the shoelaces seem too slick, as if made mostly of smooth plastic or covered with some type of coating, such that no matter how hard I tie the shoelace knot, they always loosen while wearing them. I'm guessing they can't withstand the pressure that ensues from walking and having the top part of the boot pushing against the knot. I've never really encountered this is any other shoe (or boot) that I've ever worn before so not positive what to make of it. All the same, rather frustrating, but an otherwise excellent boot.

I chose Salomon after many other brand boots because I wanted to try a non-vibram sole that honestly deteriorates too quickly. Just tried on a two-day, 35km total, I have to say very comfortable right away - just a bit of difficulty to get the foot in, but it seems that it is a peculiarity of Salomon that improves over time. The sole has excellent grip and feels like a harder compound to me, so I hope it will last me longer than the last vibram pair (just over a year, sole destroyed with the rest of the boots still decent). Ultimately they seem to me to be excellent shoes, comfortable, resistant and rather light

This is my 3rd pair of Salomon 3 season boots. The 8-1/2s always seem to fit well. I did try a 9 but it was just to sloppy. Important to get the correct size if your going to push yourself and the boots. These boots were/are very tight to get onto but are the correct size once you get foot “around the corner”. They fit a bit like ski boots. Out of the box yesterday I completed a hill walk in Scotland of 22km with 2000m of climbing. I was in the boots for 8-1/2 hours. No blisters, no hot spots. Great boots.

Most comfortable boots I've ever had and didn't need to break them in.Only issue is laces/upper lace hooks - the laces apoear super strong and less flexible than AVG laces. Consequently, no matter how rightly laced they come undone relatively quickly. Hiking across to worms head Gower peninsula I was only person stopping to tie laces - super annoying!Laces get stuck in the top guides: size mismatch. Only 2 weeks old time will tell on longevity.

Great pair of boots. I have had these for several months now and they do what it says on the label. I have worn these nearly everyday and they have remained waterproof throughout, not letting in a drop of water even after almost being fully submerged in bog water. Very comfortable fit, I bought half a size up and they are ideal especially with extra thick walking socks.

Not only are these boots great looking, but the are extremely comfortable, light and are made of a hard wearing outer material, great for battering through bracken. This is probably the sixth pair I’ve bought and I would struggle to change to a different boot as my walls range from 15 - 30 miles a walk and I never have any issues from them. Big thumbs up.

Very good comfortable hiking boots with a great grip (from what my daughter tells me) The only thing to look at is the number when you are hesitating between two models, since you get the number 40 as the default every time you look at the model I mistakenly asked for 40 less bad that my daughter was doing well and I have been able to give them to her.

I'll never hike without these again. These boots kept your ankles from rolling out, provide great grip, and give you confidence in your step when backpacking. I've hiked them through mountains, streams, and mud and always come out on top. Easy to put on when you fully loosen the laces. Black looks sharp but I am excited to try a different color.

I am usually a size 6 but I got a 6.5 to make room for thick socks. This worked out really well for me.My feet stayed dry and comfortable throughout my hill walk. They have lots of room for your toes to wriggle about. Although they are advertised as men’s shoes (I’m a female) they still go with everything that I wear on my hillwalking trips.

They are very comfortable, but not waterproof. I took the dog out to go to the bathroom, one lap around the block, in the rain. Now I go to take him out again, and the inside of the boots are all wet.(Update) They did dry out nicely by the next day, and they are still very comfortable. Adds a lot of stability to my footing in any condition.

Perfect companion on uneven surfaces, mud, rain, and wild territories. The only danger which this hiking boots have is you can go deep into wild nature without noticing it, and before you realise it, could be eaten by wolves or bears far away from civilisation. But these bad boys will serve you beyond your life span. Totally worth its price!

I received the boot yesterday 21/08 and I was satisfied with the initial impression: weight, size of the laces, texture and visual. As for the delivery time, I believe it was more due to the movements here in Brazil, since the Post Office records its movement on 07/17. Now it's time to get the most out of the product.

Boots as described. I usually wear 47.5 but 48 is fine with a pair of trekking socks. The site offers products with an excellent quality / price ratio. The only negative note is the SDA / Poste courier. With regret, until you rely on a serious and reliable delivery service, I do not feel like making other orders.

Really great quality boot with good support. More substantial than I was expecting so delighted and they are light too. I’d been having knee problems when wearing leather walking boots which are three times heavier than these and pleased to report no issues with these boots. Highly recommended.
