I wear a UK 4/US 6, I’ve a slim B fitting foot and also wear a medical full orthotic so replace any walking/running shoe inner soles with my orthotics. Ordered the 4 in the Salomon Women’s X Ultra 3 Prime GTX W - perfect! The forefoot is narrower and also has the ability to tighten them more than the previous models I’ve tried. Been wearing them now for a couple of weeks for dog walking across muddy fields and also on pavements, very comfy and goretex waterproof is fab.Originally I ordered different Salomon models of walking shoes as I’d heard they’re a slimmer fit than Berghaus which was way too big and they didn’t do smaller than a 4. Like most people who have left a review. I ordered a half size up. I am a UK 3 in every shoe and the UK 3.5 is a perfect fit. Snug but with enough space so my foot doesn’t suffer with claustrophobia.I have issues with my right PTTD and it was the first time in months that my foot didn’t scream out in agony as I walked along. I try to walk a lot and putting the PTTD to one side, I could walk all days in these. I have even walked a couple of 10k on Dartmoor in the heaviest rain. They kept my feet warm and kept me moving.My only gripe. They make a popping sound as I walk along. My husband has the same model and his do the same. Similar to the sound of walking with flip flops.I now avoid wearing them as it sounds ridiculous.

So I did the thing you should never do, wore these shoes for the first time on a 4 hour hike (I didn't have the time to break them in before we went on holiday). So with the blister plasters packed, we went out for our first hike - a 4 hour round trip hike to a hidden waterfall, and guess what, I shoes were an absolute dream. Very light, very comfortable, very waterproof (it was pouring down with rain) and not a blister to be found. In fact, I wore them the entire holiday without any problems. So very pleased with the results. With regards to sizing to help others, I'm a size 6 but ordered the 6.5 to be on a safe side and the fit was perfect.

I usually take a 5 or 5.5 and everyone says buy half a size bigger, so I got a 6. I like to wear 2 pairs of socks, but the first time I put them on, luckily around the house, they felt tight. So much so, I checked the label inside to make sure they were a 6! Maybe in time they will 'give' a bit. With one pair of socks they are fine- and on the first walk of 12kms, I only got one small blister on my heel. They are otherwise comfortable, sturdy and waterproof.

I need good footwear due to horrible plantar fasciitis. My old Salomon ankle length walking boots are worn out decided to try a shorter one and went for these. Arrived very quickly and v good packaging. Fit perfect and give me excellent support.I had an appointment this week for new orthotics and he said they are an excellent shoe for my condition.Highly recommend ?

Great shoe. Looks good, fits well. (I always buy 1 size up from my usual side to allow for a good walking sock.2nd time I wore them we did a cross country 7.5km walk without any problems. 3rd time I wore them we did 9.4km very hilly walk. Again, still comfortable at the end and no leaks. These were bought to replace my last Solomon’s and they have not disappointed

I bought these boots after reading other reviews. I was going on a walking holiday and often get severe pain in my foot due to arthritis and plantar fasciitis. From day one the boots were very comfy and gave excellent support making it possible for me to walk several miles each day. They were also waterproof as stated. I would highly recommend these boots.

My partner and I bought these shoes, excellent quality, immediately tested on demanding routes, with little grip due to the presence of water, they were excellent and reliable. Only drawback is that the order was sent by trekking the same day, but the courier delivered in 10 days and not 3 days as guaranteed.

Good sturdy walking shoes - would say that they are more trail shoes than road walking ones. I would absolutely recommend sizing up as with all Salomon shoes they can be rather small and you need to allow for socks and swelling feet! Would recommend!

I bought a size larger than my usual size. They are very comfortable and used for dog walking almost every day. So far they’ve proved to be waterproof. They took about a week to arrive.

I love these shoes, and have three pairs. However, they must be tried on before purchase to find the correct size as they run very small.

Really comfortable and supportive walking shoes. I wore these for a 26mile hike and my feet knit started to get sore towards the end.

I will certainly buy another pair of these shoes. They are waterproof and comfortable. Worn on long walk straight out of boy.

The shoes are a bit narrow. I ordered a size up and they are perfect. Totally waterproof, wash well and are very comfortable.

Very comfortable trainers, worn all day everyday at present. Very expensive though.
