I purchased these boots in the Amazon sale and have so far walked 3 X 10 miles to 'road test' them.Fit - I usually take size 4- 4.5 shoes and so ordered a size 5 because I need a wide fit due to bunions. They fit perfectly, like gloves. They feel roomy enough to be comfortable yet snug enough to feel supportive. As other reviewers have mentioned, they seem to mold to the shape of your feet straight away and don't need 'breaking in'.Comfort - They are beautifully comfortable and I love the double tie mechanism which means that I can have the laces as wide as I need over my feet (when they get hot at about 8 miles in) but still have a lovely snug, and therefore well supported, ankle area.As other reviewers have mentioned, when first putting the boots on, the ankle area of the boot is quite a tight fit. This is already becoming much less of an issue as the boots gets used to my feet, but it also means that the boots fit very nicely around the ankle when walking. I have bunions and high arches but these boots can accommodate that and they are very, very, comfortable to walk in.So far, no sore foot soles or blisters or bunion pain.Grip. I have so far walked in muddy wet conditions. The grip is excellent and I have felt very safe walking over wet, slippy wood, wet stones, hard stoney paths, wet slippy grassy banks and also climbing steep grassy hills. I would say that the grip on these boots is fantastic.GoreTex - Some other reviewers have mentioned that their boots weren't as waterproof as advertised.......no problems with that so far, after tramping through medium wet conditions.Presentation - Yes, I'm afraid I do like things that I buy to look nice and these boots are very stylish. I love the colour and the shape of them.Price - To pay or not to pay?? I bought these in the sale and agonised over whether or not they would turn out to be worth the extra money compared to the other, much cheaper, boots that I have previously owned. I feared that I would be paying for the 'brand name' and that they would not be worth the extra dosh. Actually, as soon as I saw them, I could see the money that has been spent on product development. Also on the finish and the overall manufacturing quality of the boots. They have clearly invested heavily in developing their products and it is evident when wearing the boots why they cost a little more than cheaper alternatives. They are good value I would say. Obviously footwear is of primary importance when out hiking and I'm sure your feet are worth looking after by spending a little more cash.Basically, cheap versus these, is the difference between driving my beat-up twelve year old Mazda 3, which is a good reliable car, and driving a high end BMW. Of course, both will get you there, but some in with more comfort and enjoyment of the ride than others. The added comfort and fit will mean that I can walk much further, much more easily.Thanks to all the other reviewers of these boots that I read, which helped me to make my final choice. A great choice.

Really comfortable boots from the off. Have only used a few times so far but can't fault them. I'm used to mid rise boots and so can now feel the boot at the ankle, however it does not feel uncomfortable or rub. Feet stayed dry on wet ground but have not been out in really adverse conditions yet. The boots not only do the job but look good as well. I couldn't be more pleased and would recommend. The boots arrived well packaged and before the due date. I would buy from this seller again.

Salomons are, quite simply, fantastic boots. Completely waterproof right up to the neck, hard-wearing, light and comfortable. I particularly like the way that the laces clip in so that they don't go loose whilst tieing them or if they come undone.I always but Salomons half a size bigger than my usual 9, and with thick mountain socks they fit perfectly. I bought these as 5.5UK for my sister who wears a 5, and they fitted perfectly.

I had to use these boots unexpectedly on holiday to Iceland right out of the box when my other boots started leaking. They were so comfortable, and I was very thankful that I didn't need to wear them in. I can vouch for how waterproof they are as my feet were the only part of me that didn't get soaked.Since returning home, they have been great for walking dogs in the rain but will need to see how they last in the mud.

These are brilliant hiking boots! Barely needed any breaking in and took them straight on a hiking holiday, can’t reccommend highly enough. Only hiked in extreme heat with these so can’t comment om waterproof/warmth but while they got a bit hot that was only to be expected at 42C, they coped really well in the sun. The mint is also really cute!

Perfect fit. Perfect for hiking. First trip in my boots was 3 days and over 35kms of up hill and down dale. There was lots of mud and sludge. I didn't slip or fall or loose my balance once. Not one blister. They wash easily. Very happy me! Thank you for a great product.

I ordered a size up and glad I did. Comfortable boots straight out of the box and have had no issues with them. I wear them for a couple of hours everyday. It hasn't rained yet, so can't comment on their waterproof capabilities, but so far, so good.

Love these boots, knew what size to go for as had Salomon boots before and the fit is perfect, so far been fantastic for dog walks in wet grass and the rain, no leaks. However the laces have a tendency to undo themselves which is annoying.

Amazing comfortable straight away. Fantastic grip . Used for long wet muddy dog walks have a young Doberman. I feel much safer on rough terrain. Love them.
