This is to replace another kettle, but this one is so sleek, stylish and quiet, so at least we can hear the T.V. when it's on!! It's so quick and easy to use, the gauge clearly and accurately shows how much water there is, which makes it so economical to use, both for water and electric consumption. The surfaces are easy to clean and fits in well with our other products, the handle is of such design, that it makes it safe and easy to use, with filling a breeze and again, it is so easy to descale, as the filter is easily removed and replaced. It is far lighter than a lot of other kettles we looked at, which for my wife, is extremely important, as when filled, it is far lighter than most, which again, makes it far safer to use. I just wish we had found this sooner, as it makes our lives far easier and safer in the kitchen!! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Will deffinately make all the other appliances jealous with it’s style, stands out from the rest and ordinary jug shape kettles. It’s modern yet with a retro twist so great for any kitchen design. The colour is beautiful and could be used with grey or blue appliances I think as it looks grey in some lights also. I love how the power base of the kettle is smaller then the bottom of the kettle so as it is hidden away and smartly presented so if you were a visitor in my kitchen you’d think it was just part of the kettle. Easy to clean filter, soft handle grip, easy to remove finger hoop on lid of kettle for ease of filling.Matte sparkly finish rather than a shiny finish for those looking for something to add a touch of something different and sparkly into their kitchen! Love it and would 110% recommend it to others. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

You might think a kettle is a kettle is a kettle. But no! This kettle boils faster than any I've had before, and as a 50+ year old I've had a few. It's also quieter than any I've had before. As a quality product its lid makes that reassuring "clunk" when you put it in place. If all you want is something to make water hot, buy the cheapest. If you want a kettle built to last and with elegance and style, then you won't be disappointed with this. The only problem I had is with the instructions. I scoured them to see whether for safety it should be taken off its base for filling. With my eyesight not as good as it once was,it was only with the help of a magnifying glass that I found the answer in small print at the bottom of a page.I may be a member of the trial panel for this product but I'd leave the same review even if I wasn't.

After spending the last few months renovating my home. The kitchen and bathroom were the rooms in the house that I wanted to achieve a wow factor. The kitchen is the life and soul of any home so when it came to choosing the accessories, I knew quality could not be compromised. In addition to this I wanted appliances which were also stylish.Being an avid tea drinker, I wanted a kettle that would be able to provide the lengthy brewing sessions that lay ahead. Murphy Richards is synonymous with quality and therefore the natural choice for me. The platinum special edition looks luxurious and stylish and adds style value to any kitchen. You are paying more for this financially and could possibly get a cheaper kettle but for the perfect cuppa,I think it was worth it. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I was sent the kettle as part of the review panel for testing. Normally I prefer jug style kettles and wouldn’t have chosen this design myself, but having used it for several weeks, I am pleasantly surprised and pleased with how well it performs. It is easy to fill via the spout (I didn’t bother filling via the lid) and the fill level is clear. The kettle is easy to lift for both left and right handers, and the weight is well balanced - a household member with arthritis can’t use normal jug kettles when full but was able to lift this easily. The limescale filter is easy to remove and replace for cleaning. Pouring accuracy is also very good with no spillages so far.The only con I’ve found is the 1.5l capacity, but that’s something minor. Very happy with it and would recommend.

I bought this as a set (both red), really happy with the toaster. Kettle does work, it does boil water and does look really nice, but... my irritation is with putting it back on the base. The central fitting seems quite high and narrow, and most times it simply doesn't slot on there easily. Not an issue I've ever had with other kettles. It also seems to boil for quite a while before cutting out, so most times I end up manually switching if off if nearby. If those two things don't bother you, I'd recommend it.Also I boiled water once in it before use and no metallic taste at all for first cuppa (: Previously I've had kettles that cause poor taste which has been hard to clear.[This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I've had this kettle for about a month and in that time I have grow to appreciate how well it performs. It looks good, with just enough retro appearance to evoke a bit of nostalgia (I'm old enough to have had to use kettles on the hob) but with modern attributes such as fast boiling (although it is quite loud), a concealed element and level indicator. It pours really well, the best that I've had in that it does not drip under any condition., full or with a small amount of water, fast or slow.Sometimes it's not too easy to locate on it's base without a bit of concentration but I think that is due to 'muscle memory' from being used to more upright kettles.

I bought this kettle 1 week ago, as our last one died after 9 years use. I like the colour as it matches with our kitchen and the old fashioned design as it sits on a base, looks like my hob kettle without the whistle and more economical. It is a rapid quite boil, and easy to pour. It would be ideal for my mum who has arthritis in her wrists, but it took a bit of getting used to as I kept spilling water in the first few days. It can be tricky to locate in the base, but I expect I will get used to that. To fill it fits perfectly with our tap so no sprayed water everywhere when filling the kettle! I have had many many metal morphy richards kettles over the years(live in a limescale water area and the plastic ones dont last long with the amount of descaler tabs you use) so when the last one developed a leak after many years service, I had no problems buying another morphy richards one. so good points, it looks quite goodbad points it seems less substantial than the others I've had, more 'aluminium' feeling than the meatier versions, and the base is definitely flimsier. Also, if others care about these things, the kettles used to be made in the UK, they're now made in Chinawe'll see how long this one lasts

I bought this to replace a previous "pyramid" kettle (not Morphy Richards) which had been a great disappointment. The lid was impossible to remove, the marks on the water gauge soon wore off, and the kettle finally started to leak and had to be binned. The Evoke is far superior. The ring handle makes the lid simple to remove even to someone with arthritic hands like mind. The gauge to show how far to fill the kettle for however many cups is very sensible and saves wasting electricity. And it boils nice and swiftly. Very pleased indeed with my purchase. The Evoke Platinum kettle, provides a distinctive but understated colour choice in the Platinum colour. Rather than the standard household appliance colour of bright stainless steel or bright primary colours the platinum colour is a smooth colour that blends well into any colour scheme. The kettle works well, although with only a 1.5 litre capacity it falls below what now seems to be the norm of 1.7 litres. This may well be due to the quite distinctive pyramid shape, which is a great change from standard Jug kettles.Quick to boil, the kettle does everything that a Morphy Richards kettle is expected to do.

Quick boiling kettle, styling and colour not to everyone's taste as cream colour is really nearer to off white shade Short spout on kettle makes filling via spout -difficult to avoid preventing water from running down kettle body and collecting in the baseplate at a lower level than the two drain holes.Spout could do with being slightly longer and with a pouring lip to prevent drips down body of kettle.Iif you like chrome bling there's enough trim on it to satisfy you and the handle is well insulated from the body of the kettle. I bought this kettle to replace a v similar one which was light green and a great product. This is a lovely kettle which looks much more expensive than it is. Also, I wanted to add a bit of colour to a white kitchen: it's v difficult to find colourful kettles with matching toasters - I bought the matching deep-red 4 slice toaster too. They look amazing and work really well. The kettle has a good capacity. I actually couldn't find a better toaster-with-kettle-colourful on the market at this price which were reliable. This was bought as replacement for another brand which was giving good service but the catch for the lid became unreliable. I like that this kettle has a conventional lid and a large spout which can be used to fill the kettle. The water level window is easy to see which makes it easy to only put in as much water as is needed at that time. Don't think it is quite as quiet as our previous kettle but it is not a problem. The scale filter is easy to remove and replace. We like the black metallic finish. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

My previous kettle stopped working so I began to do some research to buy a new one. I hadn't had a Morphy Richards one before so decided to give it a go and I'm glad I did. The kettle is a great design, easy to use and boils quickly and quietly for a perfect brew. The only gripe I have with it is that it's hard to see the water level on the water gauge due to condensation on the inside (see photo, the water level is not where it appears to be at first glance, it is below this) [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
