Bought this due to arthritis making lifting a kettle difficult. So much easier. I use a jug to refill in situ so very little lifting at all. Initially I bought the lower priced model but found that it dispensed for only one size of cup. Returned and paid extra for this model. Has a wide range of cup sizes and a stop button if you misjudge. Well worth the extra money. Boils quickly too. I am very pleased with this product. Only reason 4 for design is that it opens backwards for refilling in situ.

We have had the same kettle for over 5 years, it broke, and we loved it so much we brought the newer version, this one. I would never use a normal kettle again. Having a one cup kettle is so handy. I can't lift a normal kettle, so this really saves me pain and energy. Also, it boils quickly and easy to change the size of the cup. Makes it easy to do multiple cups, as whilst the kettle is boiling and pouring for one, you can add the milk, get the next cup ready or do something else whilst waiting

My kettle broke and I saw these one cup machines after loads of research this model seemed to stand out as a good machine with loads of good reviews at Argos so I decided to go for this because of the good reviews. Happily it’s a good machine the reviews and research paid off. It does save on electric as I now only boil one cup instead of excess water in a kettle. Halfway on the measurement gives exact mug size for me. Excellent product well recommended to anyone even my daughters having one now

This kettle was actually suggested to me bt my mother. As I am getting older, osteo arthritis has begun to makelittle things like picking up a kettle to be very painful at times. This device has helped no end. Instead of keep carrying the kettle to the tap, filling it then bringing it back, One fill will give me around 8 to 10 cups of tea. There is also no need to lift and pour as the dispense is straight into the cup. This saves a lot of effort and pain. I would recommend this to anyone.

Bought this item to replace my old HotCup. The original one was going well for a few years, but now sometimes doesn't stop after the first cup and is not giving the full 250ml.In my opinion the VKJ784 model is worth the extra money. The key benefits are the variable water dispenser (not all mugs are the same size), ability to stop water mid flow and this unit runs much quieter.Only negative is the dial doesn't show the exact amount to water, but you get used to where to position dial.

just replaced my breville one cup which has been going strong since 2014 thousands of cups and all needed was a regular descale saved a fortune in electric well many pounds :) so iam hoping this will be the same on initial use its just as good as soon as i can get rid of plastic taste to water, but i think thats my water tbhits red shine when on and plenty of choice won cup size i keep a cheap regular kettle if i have to make larger quantities of tea but 98% of time this kettle is perfect

Best kettle I’ve ever owned as a disabled person, mine has a blue light , this was bought for my friend who is also disabled. It’s easy to fill and holds a lot of water , we both fill with a jug as we both have bad grips so no need to lift kettle, easy to use only boils enough water as guide is set at, so rest of kettle stays cold, brilliant if elderly or children around, boils fast, has a cut off water button that’s good if you don’t alter guide size. I highly recommend to all worth the money.

This isn't the first quick boil I have owned, I live with numbness from the elbows to the finger tips, so not having to lift a heavy kettle full of hot water is a real safety advantage! However this one is far advanced compare to my first one, it boils much faster and dispenses the hot water without splashing it over the side of the cup. This is a real positive asset to someone with limit mobility issues in their arms, as it is to anyone who just wants a hot drink fast, from a stylish kettle

Ideal for two people but probably not good if you need to provide lots of drinks at same time. I just store a basic kettle for visitors. Machine offers a selection of cup size choices,.and each one takes about 40 secs to arrive. Use stop button if you make the wrong size selection. Water comes out scalding hot. Product and detachable drip tray very easy to clean. Filling the reservoir is simple, either detach it or top up with a jug. I soon got used to the timing so don't stand over it waiting

Bought not only for the savings on economy but also for less refilling and safer use for my son. No lifting for younger members of the household who are ready to make drinks and be independent with the Pot noodle addiction lol without the worry of lifting heavy kettles. Also an advantage for older members! Ticks all the boxes for look, speed, safety & convenience. Cups variations are great as we use a lot of different size cups/mugs etc. Only downside, cup stand could clip on tighter - minor!!!

This is the same as my last kettle. I loved it so much I bought it again after having the previous one for around 8 years. It lights up red and is black which I feel is quite stylish and goes well in my kitchen. I love that it has a cup size dial which allows you to adjust amount of water it releases, it is very energy efficient as only boils enough water for your selected cup size and also has a stop button that you can press if you forget to change cup dial setting so that it doesnt overflow

I originally bought the VKJ142 but there isn't a variable setting for the cup size. I loved the idea so thought I would try the VKJ784 and I love it. It has variable cup size and a stop button if you want to stop the flow of water, it has a good 2L water capacity and clear water level display. The only reason I've given 4 out of 5 stars is sometimes there is a taste of plastic in the water, to resolve this I just empty the water and refill (I refill with a jug much easier!). Deffo recommend

Bought this for my mum (she has arthritis) so that she didn't have to lift a heavy kettle of water when making a cup of tea. Argos had the best price, at £45, of all the options on the internet. And it was delivered to my home, so saving me lugging it about. As for my mum, she's delighted with the Breville Cup, especially the variable control water dispenser- it makes life very easy. And as it only heats the amount of water being used/dispensed. it should cut down on electricity consumption

I purchased this hot water dispenser as I was tired of the family over filling the electric kettle for one cup of coffee. Safe and so easy to use with adjustable switch for small cups through to large mugs. Easy to fill, just press the button and within seconds hot boiled water fills your mug. So efficient, even my (I hate change) husband loves it. I even use it for cup a soup and it's quicker to boil this for pasta and noodles than bring water to the boil in a saucepan. Best Buy of the year..

I couldn't believe my luck as I browse through the sales leaflet & saw this kettle..I'm a breville customer. I have the other one cup & I thought it was amazing but when I bought this one I thought wow..this kettle does so much. I love the cup size as I have all different size cups & mugs in my kitchen. I love the capacity too..cannot fault this kettle so far. it's much quieter than the original one...I love the red colour when it's boiling. all my families love it. the price was shocking. x
