I bought this to fit in with my general kitchen scheme of black and silver electrical goods. I didn't realise that the kettle body is plastic, as I was expecting an enamelled body. However, it still looks very smart and more importantly it boils quickly and relatively quietly. The blue ambient lighting is rather nice. The lid fits snugly, but is easy to remove. The lower values of the water level indicator are less easy to see as the bottom of the handle is somewhat in the way. All in all, though, this is a very good kettle.

The kettle is fast boiling, but give the water a "swirl" before putting onto the base. (It makes the contact to element better and even faste boilingr.It fits in well with our other kitchen items, including the Brevel toaster.It lost a star as the kettle doesn't turn off automatically when taken off the base, so if you put it back down on the base it will keep boiling. Bad if there's no water in it!The box it came in went into the recycling and it was delivered free! which Currys on line would not offer!!

Great kettle. All plastic so it dosent suffer the cracking of combined metal and plastic kettles. Spout comes to a point which makes it feel precise. Switch has a robust feel to it. This has a lift off lid as apposed to trigger flip lid. Fill gauge is behind the handle which can get obsuced by your hand. Kettles are noisy if you sit next to them and listen, this one is quieter than our last and fits in to family life fine. I spent a long time researching kettles and i’m very happy with this one.

I bought this kettle as a replacement to another brand where the attached lid decided it didn't want to close properly and so would just boil away. Perfectly happy to have a kettle where I have to take the lid off.It looks stylish and I like seeing the blue light. It boils quickly and reasonably quietly. What I have a problem with is seeing the marker on the outside for the minimum of water when I want a cuppa. So I do it by counting 3 when I turn the tap on rather than trying to peer side on.

My long-lasting kettle leaked water on its last refill. I needed a replacement, collected the Breville which failed to illuminate as per the illustration. The replacement for that (and I was assured by staff that faults are very rare) works well and boils at impressive speed. I like the lift-off lid but wish the bottom part rather than the top was concave: more hygienic when you have to put it down to fill the kettle. It's a bit plasticky (the trend?), capacity seems big, but it's practical.

Bought to replace a much more expensive kettle that had started to switch off well before reaching boiling point. I like the fact that this kettle holds more than my previous one yet is lighter to hold when full, and it certainly boils a lot faster which is an added bonus. The lid is unhinged making it easy to fill, and the water measure and on/off switch light up blue when on. Overall very pleased with the look and price of this kettle as well as the usual hassle free purchase from Argos.

This Kettle is a great buy for the price. At first I was a bit dubious about going for a plastic kettle as our last one was metal but it only lasted a mere 2 years before the plastic filter snapped and broke.When I got this one home I immediately compared this with our old one. This kettle was quicker and so much quieter. I was extremely impressed. It boiled a full kettle of cold water in just over 4 mins 20 seconds.The only downside is the kettle can sometimes be tricky to put on the base.

The kettle looks very nice with the matching toaster. It boils quickly and has a lovely red light in the switch to show when it is on. It also has boil dry protection in case you forget to put enough water in it. You can store any excess cable neatly in the base if you need to. There is a window to show how much water is in the kettle and it’s nice that it has a washable limescale filter. Argos kindly swapped our 1st kettle for a new one after it began to leak when we had had it for 11 months.

I bought this kettle because it has a large 1.7L capacity and it has a lift-off lid which is very easy to use. It has a plain-to-see bright blue light that extends into the on/off switch so that it’s obvious that it’s switched on. It’s upright design is compact and it looks really smart with its shiny, ridged white and silver design. I guess it might be considered a little noisy and average on the time it takes to boil but I have no complaints at all and I’m very pleased with my purchase.

The worst happened - my electric kettle finally gave up the ghost after twenty years. All-metal, I searched everywhere and it is no longer made.I don't like jug kettles, but thought, 'needs must,' and went for this one when my old one had failed. It looks great and feels good quality. Light weight and well-balanced, it's not the cheapest, but worth the money. The lid is brilliant, you can only take it off by pulling upwards, so you're not scalded by the steam. I like THIS jug kettle!

Brilliant Breville kettle which matches the 4 slice toaster we purchased at the same time. Wife loves them both. Design of the Kettle is fabulous and is mainly quite quiet . It has a colour changing water level window.,Inside filter is changeable and very easy to reach for cleaning if necessary. It has a pull off / push on lid which allows full access to the inside of the kettle, again for cleaning if necessary. Very highly recommended, especially as a matching set with the toaster.

This is a lovely kettle and design. Only issue I had was for the money, I would've expected the handle and the rim to be metal. It's all plastic so has plastic cheap feel so bit pricey considering that. I previously had a cheaper kettle which was similar but had metal handle and lid so made it feel quality. However it is a nice larger capacity kettle and looks great and I love the fact it glows red when I boil it. If you can get past the plastic feel then this is for you. Fast boil too.

Nice-looking kettle, but we noticed a metallic taste to the boiled water for the first couple of weeks if any water was left in the kettle to cool after use. Limescale has now started to build up and the metallic taste has decreased. We had to ditch the previous Breville kettle when the element burned out and these days you can't just get replacement elements for these kettles as you once could -- the whole thing has to be thrown away. Very wasteful. (Review edited as limited space.)

First i bought Delonghi Micalite black kettle, it made lost of noise, took longer to boil, the main reasons i returned it because it dangerous as the outside of the kettle gets really hot that you can burn your hand and It was more expensive £54.99.I exchanged it for this kettle that looks stylish, well as it fast boils, makes less noise and plus outside of the kettle doesn't get hot as the boiling water its perfect for my kitchen and the family. Over all its really easy to used.

Despite the cream colouring of the kitchen, I had debated getting the white kettle simply because I wanted the feature of the blue light that appeared in the boiling section (purely aesthetic). I decided to go for the cream and was happy to find the boiling section actually lights up red! My only issue with this kettle is when you lift it, it often takes the bottle section up with it, which means usually a loud drop on the surface below, it's mostly just annoying than anything.
