I was looking for a kettle with no plastic window and am very pleased with this one. My last few kettles leaked from the window where you can see the water level. This one has a little indicator inside so you do not boil too much water. It is quite easy to see as the lid lifts right off for filling. It lifts off easily and is easy to put back with a spring-loaded action that keeps it on firmly. The kettle is stainless steel and has a simple shape which goes with other items in the kitchen.

This kettle has no external guide to show you how much water is in it, but that's exactly what I was looking for. I removed the filter and filling guide and now the boiling water doesn't come into contact with any plastic. I was worried about the lid that doesn't have a hinge, but actually find it not a problem at all. It is not a quiet kettle, but hey, it boils fast, so not an issue. A surprise was that there's no light indicator when the kettle is on, but you can hear it, so it's fine without.

EXCELLENT kettle.Good lid design.Won't leak or damage easily over time as it's 1 sheet metal going around. As no window 2c outside water gauge only thing i disagree & agree as it's inside has 1.So it's easier to clean as it'll prevent seals, glues around the kettle from wearing out.As when you clean your kettle with e.g lime scale liquid solution remover it'll not only remove the lime scale it'll remove and damage seals around kettle that have window water gauge & eventually leaking.

Replacement Kettle for a busy kitchen. Stainless finish ideal for matching other items. Base has cord tidy but little capacity to shorten the lead without making base wobbly. Plastic lid is hard to remove when refilling after boiling (Fingers slip). Inside a clever fill guide for 1-3 cups - less water means quicker boil. Spout pours nice plus filter which unclips for cleaning. Biggest miss is a power light as there is no way of telling its on. Overall a no frills quite smart looking kettle.

I chose this model because it does not have a plastic water level panel, which I have found can taint the water. It has a 3 step plastic indicator clip which I removed, but it still taints the water slightly, so I start from empty and use the water immediately it has boiled, when it is OK. Otherwise it's fine. It looks good, hasn't stained or marked, is easier to clean than brushed stainless and the lack of a light indicator on the switch isn't a problem. The taint may disappear with use.

It does what it's meant to do. It boils water. Its metal which is good. There isn't a fill indicator on the outside, but it was the cheapest (metal body) so to expected. It has a nice pour design where the speed of pour remains the same despite different pouring angles. The only real disappointment is the base that feels flimsy and wobbly. I don't think it will stop working because of this, it's just an obvious area where the money was saved. It boils water, what more more do you want?

My octogenarian parents live in London and I live 50 miles away in Hampshire. My mother mentioned in passing on a phone call at 10.00 am that their kettle had broken and they did not know where to get another one as they are not able to get out much - by 3 o'clock pm that day they were enjoying their cuppa! It was wonderful to be able to organise this as I can do so little else for them at this distance. It works well - only complaint is that it is a bit noisier than the last one.

This kettle looked to fit my requirements: Boil water: look smart, be within budget. The handle gets 3 out of 5 stars, because I have to bend my wrist more due to the almost 90 degree angle of the handle. The overall design is good, and a lovely polished finish - easier to keep clean than my old satin stainless one. The red cup marker at the bottom of the kettle is a gimmick, and so I just half fill the kettle each-time. Fast boil, and quiet too - but that's just because it's new.

No window but that's one less weak spot for leaks.. Instead it has clear cup tabs/indicators on the inside & a max level indicator (which is, admittedly, a little difficult to spot)No indicator light to tell you that it is on but whatever. It is fast - literally 45 seconds for one cup. And I like that I can boil just one cup if I need to -no waste. It's not too loud in my opinion either. Also the spout seems to be a non-drip coz it pours great - nice and steady pace.

Its a kettle. You need hot or warm water. That is the purpose of having a kettle. It is a very simple design which has a lid that comes off to allow the kettle to be cleaned thoroughly. It doesn't have a water level indicator on the outside which in my opinion is useless. It does have a marking on the inside of the kettle marking the max. Level . It also has a red colour plastic measure to indicate how many cups of hot water can be ready if water is filled to that level.

I love the design of this kettle, it’s quick boil even for 3 mugs its around 2 minutes, its stylish to fit into any kitchen design and has a good grip and nice even pour.Cons - it doesn’t have a light to indicate that it’s boiling, it doesn’t have a water measure to see how much is left in it and the handle isn’t a flip lid meaning you can’t fill it up one handed Overall it’s a nice little kettle for the money and would suit anyone looking for the right features.

It is a lovely looking kettle and it definitely boils quickly which is great for a busy mum like me! There are a few little niggles though - there is no water level indicator on the outside, just 3 red indicators inside to show 1, 2 & 3 cups, except i'm too short to see these when i'm filling it up at the sink! Also, the lid isn't hinged so you have to take it off to fill the kettle, plus the lead to the base is quite short compared to others i've had in the past.

Since our previous kettle leaked around the filling gauge window, I particularly chose this one because it has no window. There are some bright red markers inside the kettle which are perfect for measuring a few cups, and less visible markers on the inside of the steel shell. There's no power light. It boils faster than our old one, and a fair bit noiser too, but not a problem for me, and it switches off quickly. It pours well too. Happy with the purchase so far.

We were looking for a descent kettle in minimum price range. This product was perfect for what we were looking for. Its build quality is very nice, seems strong and sturdy. It boils water pretty fast. Its easy to handle and easy to clean.Only, tiny bit concern is that it is little louder, but it doesn't bother me much and the outer body get little hot too. Overall I am very happy with the product as it serves the purpose and price is also pretty descent.

There are others that Which recommend but it's a good price and matches the toaster I already have. It could do with a light on the on/off switch (like my previous kettle had) but you can hear it heating and it's obvious when it's boiled. The measures inside are not too helpful - depends whether you have a cup or a mug of drink. But, after a while, you get to know how much to heat up, so measures in any kettle (except the maximum one) I tend to disregard.
