I purchased this kettle as my previous had seen better days. I had purchased one previous but the taste of the new kettle was horrible so I thought the only way forward was one with a filter. The set up is easy, just make sure you have a plastic jug to fill the kettle as it's easier and let the water trickle through the filter and it's as easy as that. The boiling speed is fast and the taste and look of the water is pure and filtered which makes enjoying your tea, coffee or favourite hot drink.

PROS: Looks good, low noise, fast boils, light weight & Brita filters quickly & really improves taste as very hard water.CONS: 1 litre not big enough for family of 4 - only fills 3 mugs. Replaced my very old Morphy Richards Brita brushed SS kettle but couldn't find a large capacity (1.5+ litre) one online anywhere. So I purchased the lower capacity (1 litre), plastic Russell Hobbs one (Argos click & collect at local Sainsbury's, socially distancing, etc - excellent service from all staff).

My old R.Hobbs glass kettle gave up the ghost and needing my morning cup of tea, I went for this one. I love the illuminated look and as it's plastic I've found it easier to keep clean. I went for this kettle is due to the filter system it has. My cups of tea are no longer cloudy and actually taste better. The only downside is the capacity when filling via the filtration system. You have to wait during each fill for it to filter through and refill. Just adds to the time to make a quick cuppa!

Please be aware when you buy this kettle although it looks very nice and has a contemporary feel to it. (The light which comes on is also entrancing at night time), it is only one litre in capacity which is small. It makes about two and half medium cups of tea and I find myself constantly having to fill it up with water. It does come with one Brita filter (they last 4 weeks) but I'll have to go and buy another kettle to use when I have guests over otherwise I'll be re-boiling this kettle twice.

I love this kettle!I wanted one with a filter so that I could double-up and have filtered cold water when I wanted as well as hot drinks.I didn't realise how 'clean' tea and coffee could taste until I used this kettle! I am now addicted to the taste of clean, filtered water, tea and coffee thanks to this kettle. I also love the fact that, like other water filters, it gives a countdown of when to change the filter.The cool blue light when it's boiling makes it look like a mini-spaceship!

Great kettle,looks great,takes away impurities and boils fast. I'm happy with it. If you're impatient or lead a busy lifestyle you may not like it. You have to fill the filter container up to the max sign and let the water drain through twice to fill the kettle. It only fills the kettle half full, around 4 cups but this is by design. You can remove all the filter unit and use as a normal kettle but that defeats the object. You need to buy filters and it's recommended to change once a month.

The kettle is of standard size, very efficient and a lot quieter than my last one. Love the bright blue colour that comes on when you flip the boil switch seems to be quicker too, the only little niggle I have is you can't put as much water in as a stranded sized kettle and have to wait until a small amount has filtered before you can add more but this only takes seconds. The filters are not expensive and you can order them from lots of websites we found the cheapest ones on Amazon, very happy

Three weeks of use - Excellent piece of kit. One fill of the filter funnel does about two cups of tea. 30 sec wait for enough water to filter down then click on the fab blue light to boil (you can filter enough for far more) My tea tastes fab. When cool I refill and dont boil so it becomes a normal filter jug. Two for the price of one! Bonus feature is it has a countdown timer on the lid to show filter change needed (remember to take protective film off this window otherwise hard to see!!)

this kettle looks good and I like the blue colour when it is on. I wish I had researched it a little bit more though - I miss having a button to press to pop the lid up (I know, very lazy!). We've had Brita kettles for years now and when the gauge went on our last one, we needed one right now so just looked at what was available to collect immediately. It was only after I got this nice new one that I rang Brita - only to discover they would send me a new gauge FOC! I now have a spare kettle!

Design - simple, with some translucent elements, combined with a blue light, conveying the feeling of home and tranquillity.Price - at the top of the range I would say. Would expect a bit lower.On/Off Switch - a simple stick, which to my mind doesn't suit the general design.Filter - standard Brita, so I could simply continue using my stock from a previous one.Perfect for me, yet one might consider the size of the kettle prior purchasing, to ensure its volume adequate to one's needs.

Really pleased with this kettle. Every kettle I've purchased I've always had limescale residue in the kettle and floating in the water and I could never get rid of it. Having the inbuilt filter means that won't happen again. My cups also appreciate it! The filtered water doesn't leave the "scum" in the cups nor the stains so washing up is easier! I have to admit, the capacity is a little less than a normal kettle (only 2 and a half mugs) but guess that's the downside of this type of kettle.

Positives: Aside from doing the basic... boil water, you get the Brita filter (to use hot or cold) in the bargain. We have hard water and this is a must. Aesthetically pleasing with the glass and blue light. Boils at a very reasonable speed and not loud at all compared to our old kettle. Good safety features.Not so possitive: Originally bought for my mum who is in her 70's. The handle is not egornomically friendly and too wide for her little hands so we decided to keep it for ourselves.

Havnt had a kettle in a few years as I normally get a water dispenser but fancied a change and omg I'm so happy for the change. Brutal filter was easy to insert and included a £5 off voucher for filters. Easy to set up. Lovely shade of blue light when boiling, very light to hold. Boils fast, easier to work out enough water per cup as it gets filtered first. Easy to work control panel on the top which lets you no how much life you have left in your filter. Much happier making baby milk up

What great little kettle idle for couples due to size. Very well balanced when holding and pouring, the spout is a good to pour. I would recommend for anyone with difficulty holding and pouring standard kettles this one is very light. The Brita System does a excellent job of dealing with scale issues but you must change filter when required or you will loose the benefits.Suggest you order a your replacement pack from Argos when ordering the kettle.Hope this helps someone to decide.

I got this kettle when it was on saleWhat intrigued me was the brita filter feature. Since i took it home i loved it. I can drink hot water and it doesn't have the funny tasteThe kettle doesnt hold a lot of water but thats ok for me i dont drink too many hot drinks but now when filling up my mop bucket i cant use the water from the kettle as i did with my old one but its not a big issue.Its a good kettle so far and it looks nice in the kitchen and it doesnt take too long to boil.
