When I opened the box I was not sure if I will like it or not, mostly because of the opening to pour water in that seemed a bit troublesome. After over a week of using it daily I can confirm that the lid to pour water in is not a big issue. It opens and closes easily. The only time it is a bit of problem is when you want to boil few kettles of water the lid gets hot so it is not easy to open it and refill straight after. What I like about this kettle is that it looks small but can actually fit 6 cups of water, which is great. The measurement on the kettle is correct so if you fill 3 cups of water you will get 3 cups of water.I know it sounds a bit strange but not on all kettles those measurements are true.I like also the spout - it pours water smoothly without spilling and splashing all over the counter top. In this aspect I like it so much more than my previous kettle (from the same brand) because I can now make my pour over coffee adding water by little steam. I couldn’t do it before because of the spout and also size of my previous kettle.I think the only complaint I have is the kettle handle, although it is comfy to hold and generally ok, comparing to the rest of the product it looks a bit plasticky. The rest of the kettle is made out of metal, but the handle is made out of plastic, which is fine and having handle that does not get hot makes a lot of sense… What bothers me is that the handle is painted to have chrome look. I would rather have it plain black, grey or other matching colour without pretending it is metal.

As our old kettle was dying, we thought we'd get a replacement but wanted something with style and this is definitely stylish. We got the black/Chrome/gold version which I initially thought would look really good but didn't quite live up to expectations. I think that the 3 colours are a bit too much and would opt for a 2 tone kettle instead if i had the option again. I found that the base didn't sit quite right due to the cable being twisted however I think after a while, this would sort itself out.It boiled a full kettle of water from the tap in 2 minutes and 40 seconds which i think is a little slower than our older one which is the same size (although shorter and fatter). Like most kettles, when it's switched on (the switch is under the handle) a LED blue light appears. I was also quite surprised at how low the 'max' water level is compared to the top of the kettle as I could essentially fit my hand vertically into the top of the kettle without it touching the water. I guess it did seem to boil with quite a lot of bubble and spitting so that could be a good thing (safety-wise).

This kettle seems very good so far. It boils a good amount of water, (1.5 litres max), and feels very well-balanced in the hand - even when full - unlike my old kettle which almost required 2 hands when full as it tended to tilt forwards. This kettle looks really nice, boils quickly and pours accurately but I couldn't quite find it in me to give it 5 stars as there's nothing groundbreaking about it. The lid lifts off - rather than flipping open - which I find to be a bit of a pain, but that's very much personal preference. There is a limescale filter in the spout of this kettle but it's not actually filtering the water or anything funky like that - just attempting to make sure that bits oflimescale don't end up in your drink.Overall this is a very nice kettle and it feels like it should last a while as it seems well-made.

This is a stylish jug kettle that is visually deceiving: although it looks quite compact, it takes a far amount of water (1 and a half litres, so about three pints). It also heats the water incredibly quickly, I am impressed at how swiftly water comes to the boil.Importantly, the spout is excellently designed, water pours out from it without dripping or splashing, and the handle is large and comfortable to hold.I think I would have preferred it if the top was attached to the kettle, perhaps hinged, rather than completely removable, but this is a minor gripe, and the lid itself doesn't get too hot when water has boiled. The cord fits neatly around the base of the kettle so it doesn't get too messy on the kitchen worktop. All in all a good-looking,well designed kettle for the home!

I love this kettle! I had spent weeks hunting for a replacement for my Morphy Richards titanium coloured kettle from the ‘accents’ range, to match the titanium ‘accents’ toaster. I could find very little that was classed as titanium in colour - but after reading several reviews I worked out that this wasn’t a full pitch black kettle...and yippeeeee.....it’s perfect! It’s such a lovely looking kettle, and matches my toaster perfectly! It’s a little louder than my previous ‘accents’ kettle, and ever so slightly heavier...but it’s comfortable to handle...the noise isn’t overly loud by any means...and I just love the way it looks! Also, I was really pleased that I managed to buy it at a reduced price - so all in all I’m a happy customer!Off to make a cuppa! ??

This has a design fault and the designer should not have allowed this kettle out for sale. the viewing perspect on the kettle wall, which shows the amount of water put into the kettle, to make it safe to boil, is put on the body of the kettle behind the handle. this makes it hard to see the height of the water you have put into the kettle. this viewing slot should be on the side of the kettle so it is visible to the user when filling water to the line, which shows the kettle is filled correctly. Morphy Richards, you have a bad design fault and should be corrected to the side of the kettle. Other than the above. i have found the kettle to be perfect for my needs.

Stylish and quick boil - it is shorter than some of my more recent kettles but the sturdy wide bottom means it can still do about 4 mugs [6 cups] and it is still reasonably light ... it would be ideal for somebody, like my mum, who loves cups of tea/coffee but struggles with some of the heavier kettles to hold and pour safely. The metal trim on the lid does get hot so you need to be careful but I love the lid and actually like lids you can remove rather than the flip ones. The black with rose gold is very attractive - my main concern is that it might head back to a student house at the end of the summer!!It is slightly noisy but that is not a major issue.

Anything with rose gold on it and I'm all over it! It's a beautiful kettle and the first that I've owned that has ever received compliments from visitors. Was a bit put off by the lift-off lid to start with as I prefer the push-button flip type ones but I'm getting used to it and since my last kettle ended up with a broken lid hinge maybe the manual kind is a good thing. It does need a good push to get it to click into place but is secure once that's done. I like that it has an actual spout too (albeit a little stubby one) and is much better than the usual 'lip' that a lot of kettles have. All in all the good outweighs the bad and I'm very happy with it.

This is a well-crafted, stylish design and clearly premium kettle.I really like the matt black finish, the rose gold and chrome styling. The base seamlessly joins the kettle and if you tuck the cable behind you could mistake it for being freestanding. The kettle boils quickly and the 1.5l capacity is ample. It’s easy to fill through the spout or by removing the lid, the fill gauge isn’t the best with only a 3 or 5 cup measure. The kettle is light weight and easy to handle, the 360 base allow it to be used left or right handed. This kettle is a bit pricy at £69.99 but I’m sure an Amazon promotion at some point will happen and make this a great buy.

This arrived in a small box so I was pleased to find that the kettle was a standard size and holds up to 1.5 litres. It took just under 3 mins to boil a full amount. It is a classy looking jug shape in matt black (easy to clean) and rose gold trims. I like the large round lid handle. The filter is just one of those nylon screens to sieve out the flakes of limescale and in my experience, these last no time at all. Factoring in the expense of more filters, I think the initial price of £70 odd is much too much. It's just not super-quality, but I'm sure it would jazz up a modern kitchen with matching microwave and toaster.

I bought this kettle last week to replace a previous Morphy Richards kettle and havent been disappointed. The design is very stylish, compact and it looks great in the kitchen. The black matt finish on the kettle with the rose gold trim looks amazing. The kettle itself works great and boils the water quickly. The spout pours evenly and accurately and does everything you could want. The kettle is a really nice size. It is not bulky or plasticy and is a great addition to our kitchen appliances.Highly recommended GREAT Kettle. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

It’s a kettle. It works. And in my opinion is aesthetically pleasing to the eye. It functions well - it’s solid, the handle and pour ergonomics are spot on. It boils quickly. The only downfall with these is the base. It’s lightweight. So fine with the kettle sat on it, but when you lift the kettle the base is so incredibly light and yet the cable is stiff that the base can easily move, flip over etc. Grab the cable and twist u TIL you’ve set the base where you want it - thereafter it finally settles into its spot and is ok.

Had this for a couple of months, have been very happy with it.The 3kW element means it boils very quickly, and it is surprisingly quietly. It has great sleek, modern looks and a subtle LED light to indicate it's on.The matt black and rose gold finish looks great, but the feel is slightly let down by the feel of the spout and lid... if the metal here was a little thicker and more substantial it would have delivered the quality the looks promise. This is a great kettle. Despite it looking small, it actually holds 6 mugs / 8 cups of water and is very quick to boil. The interior of the kettle is metal, and not plastic which is a nice change, and a filter over the spiut. The kettle also has a metal removable lid which has to be taken off completley to refil which is its only minor drawback. However for the price, this us not a deal breaker as it hokds lots if wster, boiks quickly and looks really stylish.I would certainly recommend this product

I was looking for a kettle that would pore well and i’m delighted to say this one does, the spout design pores very well. It is easy to fill because the top of the kettle is wide and because the lid comes off completely. The handle is well designed so it’s easy to lift and pore, even with Arthritis. It is not as quiet as some kettles but it is also not unpleasantly loud either and isn’t on long anyway because it boils so fast. I love my new kettle and would definitely recommend it to others.
