The egg-slicer is made of (dishwasher safe) polished stainless steel. It's 10cm in diameter and 2.5cm high when closed. The bottom and the top part are held together by a hinge. The lower part is slightly elevated, it has seven 3mm wide slats divided by 2mm wide slits. It serves as a tray onto which you put the boiled egg. Then you lower the top containing eight stainless steel wires. They cut through the egg by moving into the slits. Up with the top and you can take out perfect slices.You can also use this slicer for mushrooms and lumps of mozzarella cheese if they aren't too big. If they are, you can cut them into half first. Unfortunately you can't slice tomatoes, too.

after searching my towns shops for a slicer i found a different style of one on here. its lovely and i use it lots. thankyou

Nice sharp clean cutting slicer, makes short work of boiled eggs. Easy to clean and dry. Good product and looks nice too.

have bought several cheaper ones recently and they dont last this seems to be more sturdy and so far has done the job.

At last equipment sturdy enough to make a good job of slicing while keeping mess to a minimum and food attractive.

i have had other egg slicers that have broken but this is very robust and with stands every day usuage.
