I love Simplehuman products - their clean lines and minimalist design aesthetic really attract me. I have read mixed things about some of their products, however, so it was with trepidation (but out of necessity) that I ordered this compact dish rack. Having moved into a studio flat, space is, unfortunately, limited. Dimension-wise this was smallest dishrack I could find.I was very pleasantly surprised when it arrived, however. It's small but very functional - you can fit a surprisingly large amount of plates, cups, utensils, pans etc. There are two great things about it which set it apart from other dishracks, however: firstly, it has a pivoting draining spout which means the water drains out in any direction you want to it; and secondly, its size means you can lift it up and pop it in the sink to drain overnight, if need be.It's very easy to clean, with the wire rack and the utensil holder both removable. The only part that isn't, to my knowledge, removable is the pivoting spout, but I just use a bottle cleaner and then rinse water through it.If you have a small flat like me, I really cannot recommend this product enough.

I bought this dish draining rack for my static caravan as my draining board is very small and this compact little rack was an ideal size.At first I thought it was a little overpriced, but on using it I think it's worth the money. It is compact in size, but easily holds dishes for three people. Dinner plates don't stand completely upright, but if you balance them against cups etc they're fine. The water drains from the dishes into the base of the unit where it then flows through holes at the bottom and out through a spout which can be turned in any direction to reach the sink...leaving the draining board completely dry!If your dishes are suddy, the whole rack fits into the sink where you can rinse everything at once. You can also leave the rack of dishes inside the sink to dry out of sight. This rack is sturdy and very easily cleaned and as it's coated it work rust like chrome would. All in all I'm very happy with my purchase and I'd definitely recommend it!!!

▪️Industrial looking, but adds up very nicely to a small sophisticated kitchen.▪️Holds about 6 plates / lids, 4 salad bowls and a little more over them. A bit tricky to hold the plates though.▪️Really really sturdy!!▪️So convenient, because the dripping tab swirls 360 degrees. So the dish rack can be placed around the sink to each one's convenience, leaving the drain portion of the sink free (to dry more vessels or drain washed veggies while cooking).▪️The drip tab can be unscrewed for cleaning.▪️There's good clearance between the countertop and the base of the rack. (Good place to keep the plastic lids under and take them out before washing, instead of dumping them in the sink with other stuff).▪️2 slots for handles,to lift or shift if necessary.▪️The cutlery stand can be placed in any of the 2 diagonally opposite corners.???Would've been perfect if the dish rack was bigger by a couple of inches all round.

read some reviews, made the judgement call on it. so here is my review based on what i read, and using this daily.so the comments said plates dont sit up right - Answer, yes that is correct. No plate will sit up without falling down wards. Our solution although not strictly advised, use both thumbs and slowly push the prongs to a slight tilt.we did this, and all the plates sit at a nice tilt now. Problem solved but this should be a production fix not a home one.Next comment. Ok so that bottom spout. Issues over clogging with food debris.Very simple solution, it worked for us - WASH YOUR DAMN STUFF PROPERLY!!!Painfully simple. Just dont be a scruff and give them a half wash,do the job properly and you wont get debris falling into the spout system.Overall, despite our home modification for the plates situation, its a lovely dishrack and looks all snazzy and modern if you like that sort of thing.

I looked everywhere for this exact model after using one in a holiday rental house last year. This was the only place I could get it at a decent price (it came up at over £30 elsewhere). I like SimpleHuman stuff, it's good quality and design but you do pay for it, so it was great to get this at such a good price. It's really easy to clean, the cutlery pot and wire base pull out very easily. We've just had a new kitchen fitted with a solid wood worktop and I didn't want drainer grooves cut into it. This drainer sits on the worktop when we're washing up but then we put it in the sink while the pots dry so it's out of sight. The only drips that hit the worktop are from pots that overhang it or from your hands as you put things in it,so it's easy to wipe them up and keep a nice clean dry worktop. The spout works very well at channelling drained water back into the sink. Love it.

I am so pleased with this product after trying many different racks over the years this suits my purpose perfectly. I only hand wash lunch boxes and glasses and this is the perfect solution for both. The height of the unit contains the drying items so they can't topple over or get knocked over and broken. The added advantage of the solid, higher sides of the drainer is that your sink area doesn't look cluttered when there are items drying. The entire thing is neat and tidy. The drain at the bottom lets any run off water drain away into the sink so that there is no wiping down and cleaning required either which is a bonus. When I have my new kitchen fitted this summer I will not bother with a draining board by the sink at all, this is all that is required and can be put away when not in use, freeing up worktop space.

My draining board beside the sink goes flat if there's any weight on it so water just lies there rather than draining into the sink and the draining rack I had would then just sit in that and grow things unless it was cleaned after every use.So I was looking for something that would stand clear of the draining board and I could then wipe underneath it. But I found this and it's even better. It drains straight into the sink from any direction. It stands high enough that I can clean underneath it without having to move it although I've not really needed to.There's plenty of room in it, it looks great, far prettier than the ugly plastic thing it replaced, it's robustly built and easy to clean. It costs more than those flimsy wire or ugly plastic things but it's absolutely worth it.I love it.

Really happy with this - it's a nice little piece of kit - simple and good quality. We have a butler sink and no draining board, so we needed something that could hold the few bits and pieces that don't go in the dishwasher, and for when we just want to handwash a few mugs etc..Its compact - although i think there is a larger model available - i think this small one would only be good for singles/couples - but perfect for what we wanted. The only issue is that the lip of our sink is slightly too high for the drainer that feeds out from underneath - so we have had to sit it on a chopping board to raise it up enough to work properly. In an ideal world the legs would be extendable but as that would cause its own issues,we are happy to use the board to give it the necessary height.

I almost didn't buy this super rack because someone made a lot of fuss in a review about plates falling over. Well, I have 3 different kinds of dinner plates and not one has fallen over or shown any inclination to, all remain nicely where I put them. Perhaps the other person has a type of plate with a narrow rim that would fall over in any dish rack... Anyway, I like the drainer. The spout has a little screw - easy to remove with a screwdriver or the end of a knife, I don't anticipate a problem personally and I'm a girl... I have big problems with limescale accumulating on everything and this is so nice I've started placing a piece of kitchen roll in the bottom each morning to soak up the water through the day, squeezing it out as night and binning it. So far its worked well.

A previous reviewer mentioned that the spout is useless and a health hazard - this was my response to them, which others might find useful; You've completely missed the point of the spout - you are meant to leave the dishrack on the side next to the sink, and when you put items in the rack to dry, any excess water runs down the spout and into the sink. We've had one of these for about 5 years and they are really good if you don't have a proper draining section on your worktop (which we don't). However I can't argue about the build up of gunk in the spout section! We frequently pour boiling water down it, and also spray it with kitchen disinfectant spray - but you do have to unscrew it sometimes as well,to give it a proper clean.

I really like this product because it's well made and useful because it's freed up my draining area. My kitchen is small & there isn't much room for food preparation. With this handy device installed in an area I can't normally use it has freed up the draining area for my chopping board! It's not very big but copes with saucepans and larger things that don't go in the dishwasher. I'd be a bit peeved if I was using it to wash plates because they don't stack nicely but im not so I don't mind! The spout is a stroke of genious as it drains away the water perfectly. .its movable so as long as it's near the sink you have options for where it goes. In a small kitchen that's really useful.

I previously had a Joseph Joseph dish drainer which looked really good, however it was absolutely hopeless at holding dishes for even 2 people never mind 4. The amount of times crockery toppled off the drainer and smashed on the floor! This dish drainer is perfect. It fits on the side of my sink well. The draining spout can be rotated 360 degrees to drain the water in any direction. I have large dinner plates and I haven't found any issues with them stacking. The depth of the basin means you can stack quite a lot of dishes without the risk of them toppling over.I'ts easily cleaned as it fits in the sink and can be sprayed and rinsed easily.Thoroughly recommend this product.

Excellent dishrack. Really wanted one of these but cannot justify paying the fluctuating prices on various sites, so waited for Amazons price to drop below £20. In my opinion good value compared to elsewhere. If you're patient, worth waiting for when the price drops. Was going to choose silver, but decided on the white mainly because limescale stains dont show up as easily, although they are still there. Will have to unscrew the spout mechanism to give a thorough clean to avoid accumulation of grime, but its a minor issue. Good deep size, no problem stacking dinner plates if you dont mind them lying at angle rather than straight up. Simple, scandinavian minimal look.

Comes in Charcoal or white, Charcoal Brilliant with my black sink unit, white looked cheap.High sides makes for tidier look to sink area, if like me you like to leave some items to air dry. Easily rinsed after use. Useful both in sink and on drainer as spout can fold completely underneath rack. Wire crockery rack and plastic cutlery holder both removable and easily cleaned. Moveable spout turns to both longer and shorter sides to suit your sink. Metal legs and spout means no puddles under it to be wiped up after use. Great for a single person or couple all the time, or family to augment a dishwasher e.g. for supper dishes when washer is already on.

I love this product. I looked at lots of reviews before buying this. I was tempted to buy another at a ridiculous price but glad I went for this one after reading the reviews. I haven't had a drainer for many years as I use my dishwasher mostly. I wanted something for the delicate glasses that I wouldn't put in the dw. It looks neat and tidy, it can hide in the sink if I want it out of the way. It's small and compact and if you have tall wine glasses, it's ideal to dry them, the high sides means that they don't fall far if you knock one over. Everything stacks well and it was worth the price tag. I can see it lasting a very long time.
