Although I didn't buy this from Amazon I have to say it sets off my kitchen very well. I don't have a problem with hooks dropping through and my pans are heavier than the averag pan. I highly recommend this shelf.I don't believe the top holes were drilled faulty, they are slightly angle to give better hold when screwed to the wall. The shelf can hold some weight with the wall plugs supplied and the top holes at an angle. Otherwise the use of anchor bolts would be needed spoiling the look of the shelf. It is best to measure up the top 2 holes drill and screw in first before measuring up the bottom 2.

I brought this item some 10 years and it has been admired by everybody who has seen it in my Kitchen. But the shop where we purcased the Shelf, stop selling them and could no longer supply them.We have tried to find this item for quite a while. So now thanks to Amazon I can make a gift of the shelf to a close friend. I've given this product 5 Stars. I had read previous comments that others had found problems with the product. I found that the product was easy to assemble and fairly easy to put up with an electric drill. It may have been because the internal walls are solid brick to take the weight as opposed to the internal walls in a newer build. Once the rack was on the wall, it was really sturdy. It was ordered Saturday and arrived unexpectedly early on Monday. Very pleased - good value for money.

I was going to get one of these from here but got given one before i ordered. Would just like to say that i solved the problem with the rail bowing out in the middle, simply by puting a matching bolt in the middle. Still looks great, but yeah, the shelf is it bit useless. I have held it in place with a bit of silicon and screwed some hooks underneath to hang small stuff like whiskes, spatulas and tongues. Very happy with it.

We have a tiny, tiny kitchen and storage is minimal, we are always trying to find ways of maximising the space to help with all the stuff we have as a family of 5.This came up on a lightning deal, and I bought it on a whim, I am so glad I did, it looks stylish and stores a number of pots on the shelf as well as 6 hanging off the movable hooks.It has brought space to my cupboards and made my life easier.Highly recommend.

Very happy with this item. It was easy to put up and looks very stylish. Some reviews have mentioned that the shelf doesn't fix to the brackets and I was worried about this but I think it will be ok. There is a good few inches of overhang at either end and personally I only intend to use this shelf for things not often used and as extra storage. Great way to display pans and frees up cupboard space in my small kitchen.

This shelf created an attractive feature in our small kitchen, and transformed a corner of the kitchen from a difficult to use cupboard of pans, to a good looking and joy to use shelf. The slot for the hooks however did not properly contain one of the swivel hooks. The number of hooks seem quite adequate in the box, though the sale of more sets of hooks kept being suggested. I am glad I didn't buy extra hooks.

Brilliant storage idea that has given us back a whole kitchen cupboard.Some reviewers have said that they have had issues with bowing out of the two wooden slats that hold the hooks. I've noticed that this only happens if you over-tighten the two screw/bolts holding the slats together - if they are kept loose then the two slats stay totally parallel.

I love it. the holes are on an angle deliberately to give it more strength, you need to use plugs not supplied but it looks fab and holds all my different sized frying pans easily. the shelf bit I use for a floral ornament, cos of the height I have it is hard to reach any lids you could place on the top.

Had one of these for years, bought another for my son. I have braced the centre with a steel cupboard joining bolt and will do the same when I fit the new one tomorrow.Only issue is it would be better if it came with additional hanging brackets, but you can buy extras.

Hard to put up, the top screws go in at an angle and you need it perfect for the shelf to lie flush.Otherwise awesomeWe cut ours down to fit in a smaller space with no problem and it not only looks great but saves so much space!

Looks brilliant and is holding a lot of weight. I bought a couple of additional hooks for it too. The only gripe is that the slat which provides the shelf at the top just sits on the shelf, nothing holding it in place at all

Nice little gadget. My husband love his kitchen so I got it for his birthday.It give the kitchen a little more rustic look.The only thing is that it look fragile, hope he get at least a few years joy out of it.Thank you

Good quality, looks nice, sturdy. i found tip by previous buyer useful and agree you need a screw in the middle to stop it bowing out whean you screw the sides together but other than that lovely.

Still going strong, years later. Keeps things tidy and readily available. Easy access for a short shrimp. Would be lost without it, both for usefulness, and because it looks good in my kitchen
