I already had the porridge pot and a small microwaveable bowl, and I found them great for cooking various things in the microwave, but when I tried to make pasta or instant noodles with them, I found they always overflowed. I thought it was probably because I was putting too much food/liquid in the bowl at once, so I decided to buy the bigger noodle bowl to see if it would make a difference.I was disappointed in my new noodle bowl initially, because I had the same problem: hot starchy water all over the bottom of my microwave. It took a little experimentation, but I figured out that the real fault was with the temperature and the cooking time, and not (really) with the bowl.I had to turn the heat setting on the microwave down to medium high (and make sure to put no more than 300 ml of water into the bowl). After that, I had to stop the microwave at 1 minute intervals, stir the contents of the bowl, and I had no further problem. Perfect noodles in minutes! The bowl is easy to clean and store, and the handle stays cool to the touch. (One day they might design a microwave that makes sure it's positioned towards the door when you open it!) Just be careful of the steam when you take off the lid. I would recommend it to anyone who likes to microwave their pasta/noodles.

I absolutely love this item.Never thought I’d get excited over what is effectively Tupperware, but I must admit I like this. The handle makes getting it out of the microwave easier and I don’t end up burning my fingers. The vent can be either closed or opened depending on what you want to do with it and it’s also easy to do, unlike others I’ve had in the past. It comes out easy for cleaning and then just pops back in.I’ve used it for everything from noodles, soups, porridge etc and it works perfectly, reducing spills and boil overs.Only thing to note is that the plastic will scratch reallly easy if you use any form of scourer on it - even those soft green ones on the other side of a sponge - you’ll end up with little lines all it,so sponge or cloth to clean - but being as food doesn’t stick to it much (assuming you don’t leave it to weld on for 3 days) that isn’t an issue.I’ve used this to send the other half to work with a meal in, ready to go in the microwave at lunch and he’s come back impressed at how quick and easy it is as per all the above points. I will probably end up buying more in the future because it’s just ideal for all sorts of things and also a good size for portion control.

....especially when you don't receive what you was expecting. I ordered this to replace an existing one I have which was getting a bit tired. The old one was superb in every way.Was pleasantly surprised initially when the new one arrived as they had done away with the little flaps that the lid secures to. The new one can be clipped anywhere so you don't have to align it.The first test was baked beans.... something I have done for years in the old one. I received a blue pot on this order (colour sent at random....which wasn't an issue for me).Nuked the beans and emptied the pot..... first use and the inside of the pot is permanently stained from the beans. The inside looks quite horrible, albeit still functional. The second test was a liquid..... I inadvertently tipped it, and liquid poured out of various orifices. Unlike the old one, this one has no seal, so it is hard plastic pot against hard plastic lid.... thus it doesn't create a seal.Normally I throw my toys out the pram when things are not as they should be, but it is still functional as a bean warmer! Not sure if the one I got was a 'new' version of it.....but it's not anywhere near as good as the old one.

This is the first time I have bought a Sistema product. I nearly bought a similar product that Asda sell but it just wasn't the same quality even though it was significantly cheaper. This item was on a deal price on Amazon and I thought it would be a good investment. I take food to work to reheat so felt this would be ideal after reading the reviews. It is made with good quality material, feels solid. The lid fits snug and tight and the lid fasteners clip true. I have taken ready made porridge to work and reheated it and it has been fine. The contents never leaked which is a massive bonus. The handle is very useful to insure you don't burn your fingers. The pot is a good size, big enough to have a decent size meal in there for a big lad like me. The ultimate test was when I put some brown boiled rice in the pot and poured a lentil curry on top. Later in the day at work, I reheated the contents with the valve at the top set to open. It came out perfect. So for as a first time user so far so good.I would want this product to last sometime consider the price tag. I am impressed enough to consider buying other products in the range.

I wanted a bowl I could use for my cereal in the morning as most cafes/coffee shops have unhealthy options. I opted for this over the Porridge Bowl version as it seemed to have more room. I was slightly worried as people were complaining about the handle not being as pictured etc. but I'm pleased to say I received the exact item as pictured. The handle is a full handle completely joined a both ends to the bowl. The lid is really innovative as I can also use it to cook porridge/soup/noodles as well as have cereal and cold food.I will also be taking this with me on the plane with some dry cereal when I go on holiday - all I'll need is some milk and I'll have a tasty bowl of cereal and can pass on the usual airline food! Also good for my holiday as I'm staying at an all inclusive resort and it will be useful for taking fresh fruit/snacks up to my room and storing in the fridge to have later in the day.So glad I purchased this product now - great price and a really portable, compact item. I have ordered another in the pink colour as I love it so much!

These are so simple, yet so fantastic. I don't know how I've lived without them for so long!I've always found transporting soups etc a bit of an issue as there's almost always a leakage of some sort. I've resorted in the past to re-using those plastic soup containers from shop bought soups, but still the spillage issue.I love this bowl, so much so, that I have several and even have the soup cups too! They have a rubber rim inside for a tight fit. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure if you tipped it upside down, the contents may escape from the 'flip' area, but oddly enough, I've not bothered to test that theory! These can go straight in the microwave,so no extra washing up and prevent unsightly microwave splatter (urgh!)I generally clean them with the soft side of a sponge so that I don't scratch them, and so far, haven't had any issues with staining or the plastic holding on to previous food smells, and I use the A LOT for various recipes, not just noodles.Nicely priced and worth every penny. :)

I bought this to heat up soup/leftovers at work. It can accommodate a 600g carton of soup easily. The two main problems of using a normal bowl at work were splatters and burnt fingers - both sorted by the vented lid and handle which also makes it easy to carry back to a desk without spillages. I've also used it for salad and making cous cous.A very handy, versatile item and not just for work, I'd happily buy one for home for heating things and storing leftovers in the fridge. I have to say I haven't used it for making noodles but it has so many uses it is probably misleading to call it a noodle bowl!I'd recommend it to anyone who has dexterity problems as it is easy to carry from microwave to table and much safer than using oven gloves. No sign of any discolouration but that would not be too much of a problem anyway and washes up really easily. A great buy, saves on cling film and has so many uses.

A must have lunch item! Arrived within 4 days, came in jiffy bag but was secure and protected. Item exactly as pictured with full handle. Fantastic item for bringing lunches to work, so much easier than trying to carry liquids in bowls, clippy boxes etc. Handle makes such a difference! Works perfectly in the microwave, just remember to open the vent. After i bought it i was worried that it would be too big (my colleague has the soup mug one) but it is a great size, brilliant for soup, porridge, homemade noodles etc. I have a few sistema products and I would not be without them in work. I was worried about leaking, but it doesn't appear to be a problem.I do tend to put clingfilm over the top before sealing the lid though just to be extra cautious but as long as the bowl isn't moving around too much i don't think its an issue. highly recommend.

I love this thing, it's so easy to use and is so convenient. I was getting fed up of microwaving soup, beans, macaroni cheese etc in a bowl and then having to use a towel underneath it when it was done to not burn myself and not having a good grip on it. With this, that isn't a problem and straight from the microwave I can hold the handle and eat straight from it with no fuss.I personally never put the lid on the bowl when it's in the microwave because I've never put a normal bowl in the microwave with a lid on top, it bubbles enough without trapping more heat inside but I do find the lid very handy when it's out to keep the contents warm while I make toast or something.Easy to clean and easily holds a tin (400g)and a couple of sachets of porridge. For me it's better than using a regular bowl because it holds better too.

I bought this bowl as a general handy bowl for my microwave. Soup or porridge or veg or even steam pudding and I am happy with it. I note it says its 940ml but say good luck to you in fitting that much in as that it right to brim. I think it suits 600ml much better with room at top to avoid spills. The internal measurements are 13.5cm across and 8cm high. It's nice and sturdy and the handle makes it easy to use. I've noted that lots of people have asked about transporting soup to work in it but but I'm not sure I would want to do that although the clips are secure they could also easily be knocked and also doing a leak test with water I had leakage on one clip. I also have not tried noodles. For my purposes a good size handy bowl.

Very convenient and easy to use wherever you happen to be. You just need access to a kettle and a microwave and pre-Brexit-Bodge-Up, you should still have these luxuries in the workplace and 15 minutes to sit down for lunch. Stick a couple of handfulls of dry egg noodles, grate in a vegetarian stock cube, add small florets of broccoli, plenty of ground pepper, a dash of olive oil and balsamic vinegar, half fill the plastic cup with boiled hot water, stick the lid on with the vent open and hey presto a hot, delicious, vegetarian meal with plenty of spice, just like life should be. Who wants bland, bland, bland ?... You can also use wholewheat spaghetti, broken in half, just cook for 6 - 8 minutes and stir half way through.

I am very well pleased with this product and the salsa pots. I use the salsa pots to put 4 pills in as they were different colours. The noodle bowl was easy to get ready for spaghetti or fusillini for another time.Spaghetti was well cooked this early afternoon and the vent is jolly useful as there are no horrible noises any more or the sound of spitting tomato sauce on the enamel plate that spins round due to 20 years of not finding a suitable noodle bowl.I have eggs to poach and scramble in a few days so I am sure they will be lovely. I also have lots of couscous.Looking foward to poaching pears and apples ocer the coming weeks.Porridge for breakfast sounds that it is going to be perfect tomorrow.

This is the best bowl out there. I have multiple in my kitchen. You can easily microwave a hefty portion of a meal in it. Usually maximum about 600 grams. It is the perfect size, it's very sturdy and has multiple uses. The lid is leak proof when the vent is closed and I take one to work regularly and never had a spill. Let's say you're microwaving a meal and need to stir it in between to make sure all gets microwaved evenly. You just close the vent, shake it about and put it back in. So easy. The handle is not something you usually look for in a bowl but I really like it. It's also freezable which I dont use it for often but a good plus if I ever need to.Very easy to clean also as vent is removable.

I love this great size handy pot! Really useful for leftover portions of dinner and reheating for lunch. Practical handle and dishwasher safe I always have one of these on me whether it is in the fridge, used for microwaving or eating food straight out of on those really lazy days when you just cant find a bowl. I also have the smaller size pots but find this is the best size and my go to favourite. I also use it for storing avocados or half lemons or limes to protect them either on the way to work or just in the fridge. No leakage and the flip top button at the top to let steam out of when microwaving is absolutely genius. No more burnt fingers or hands when I take the top off.Highly recommended.

Haven't used it in the microwave yet, but I often use it with boiling water to make my instant ramen noodles at uni. At first I thought, "How odd. A bowl with a handle. Why?". Now when I lay back in my chair in the canteen with a bowl of cereal or noodles safely held in one hand and not precariously balanced in my palm I wonder no more. Now I can sip my cereal milk with one hand like a true gent instead of using two hands to raise it above my head like a cave man. More than enough capacity to hold two packs of Mama brand instant noodles and all the water required to go with it. Lid is nice and watertight too so no more worrying if my noodle juice or milk is dripping all over the books in mybag.
