Was looking to purchase another Vacuum Cleaner with good suction,not too heavy and of a well known name and acceptable price.This product caught our eye and got us interested,the price was within our budget and reading about it,it certainly seemed what we wanted.So glad we purchased this unit.On unpacking you could see and feel that care had been taken to create a good product.Eager to get it going I started to assemble but got lost.Read the booklet folks and it is a doddle to set up.On start up I was impressed that the sound was not a drone or too loud,it is a very acceptable level.Very impressed straight away with the suction and when you switch on the brush boost it is superb.We have an entrance rug for dirty feet and on the high reading it was incredible to see the amount brought out.The adaptor for the smooth floors is easy to fit and has rubber around the edges so when going against skirting boards with beading fixed this wraps up over and brings the dust off......great.The tools supplied are very adequate for what we needed and the 3 in 1 tool fits robustly onto the Vacuum body.The next step was to try the unit doing the stairs,very easy to disconnect body from the cleaner and it is very light and easy to carry,the hose is easy to disconnect and reconnect tools and to the Vacuum body.There is no loss of suction when doing this programme,you can see inside the container and it has a large capacity for holding dirt.I have removed filters and refitted and it is a straight forward exercise to do.A very good versatile machine for good house cleaning.The contacts when removing cylinder and refitting are large and of sound quality,no bending when fitting back on.A large length of cable which gives you freedom to do various rooms and stairs,I was very happy and impressed with this.A light cylinder to carry around and do cleaning with the tools.Solid sounding and secure clicks when refitting cylinder,hose and tools.No more awaiting for battery to charge.Nice looking modern machine.2 Slight concerns,1) The instruction booklet showing buttons and controls could I feel be a little clearer.2) The adaptor plate for fitting onto cleaner for smooth floors although sturdy now,I am concerned that it may loose its tension over time,but not a big concern as without it fitted the floors clean well.A very happy customer.

I have only had this cleaner for 2 weeks but so far am really impressed, I bought it to replace an old cleaner that has lost suction over the years. For a 900 watt machine the suction is really good and it has a variable height adjuster for carpet pile and a floor attachment for hard floors which was very easy to fit and glided over my Lino floor like a dream. The only slight issue I had was that the instructions said the wheels on the adaptor should be facing down - there are no wheels on the adaptor and I think this should read ‘cleaner’ - the adaptor only really fits one way so it’s not a huge problem, it’s also very easy to remove.The cleaner was very good on pet hair collection and the room looked really clean with lovely ‘cleaner lines’ to show it had been done. It was also very easy to empty. The rotating brush was excellent on the stairs although the pull out cylinder does need to be held while you are using attachments low down so may not be as easy for anyone who has mobility problems as the hose, although flexible when pulled straight, is quite short. I haven’t used it up high with the handle/hose but I would imagine it won’t be so much of an issue. There is a holder on the side to keep the 3 in one tool handy while working and a clip on the plug to keep the flex wrapped tightly round the cord tidy on the side of the machine. The flex is very long, so unless you are cleaning a mansion, there will be no issues with having to keep unplugging it.

I have only had it a few days and so far my carpets have come up like new, the brush bar with the high ammount of suction goes deep into the carpet and brings up it up like new.If you are looking for great power, easy to use and nice design, and are looking for a cleaner carpet and home, it picks up very well, esy to clean as you can even wash the filters, wash the bucket to keep the machine in tip top condition. The Vax air lift steerable offers great power, real value for money and does an excellent job of cleaning. It is less noisy than many other vacuums. The main unit which is light weight and can detach from handle and brush bar, so you can carry it to reach ceelings,stairs and book shelves and skirting or take it to do the car.5* for suction power 5* for steerability - easy to push the unit around the room5* for useful attachments that do a great job5* for design If you want a cleaner home, a unit that is easy to use with great power then I recommend this unit. Try it and find out how it can pick uo dirt you never new was in yur carpets.

I bought this vacuum cleaner after my amazing experience with the Vax platinum carpet cleaner. Very powerful suction and smart design, everything has a purpose in the machine. I wasn't very impressed when I read the reviews, some people said it's heavy and loud. I found exactly the opposite very acceptable weight and noise, no need to carry it all the time when used detached, can be easily placed on the floor. Its movement can feel heavy on the floor because of the strong suction which can be adjusted when no deep cleaning needed and the option to stop the bush is brilliant to increase the suction and the bush helps to collect little crumbs.Also the way by which the dirt is emptied is brilliant.The only disappointment was the hose accessory on Vax website, after sending an inquiry they told me it's not compatible with this model, it would really be beneficial to reach under furniture, the hose is very strong and somehow short it's hard keep it stretched. I couldn't find any negative feature about it other than that. Finally the pink colour is so lovely and unique.

This is just fantastic I am a man who normally is quite happy to lift my feet up whilst my wife vacumes underneath (quite happier with a drill or hammer in my hand ) but I unpacked this little beauty and wanted first go Even though the room had been vacumed an hour earlier it was unbelievable the amount of dog hairs it collected .The ease of steering the beast across the room and round the furniture was impressive .Being able to disembody the vac from it's main frame to enable easy stair or car cleaning is a massive bonus .The long length of the cable means less time having to plug and unplug the vac.My wife having prised it out of my hands and hoovering the bedroom admitted it was one of my few good ideas to purchase this vacume .What makes it even better is the price we paid being<br>" refurbished" basically brand new without original box it was a massive saving . Looks like we will be fighting over who gets to vacume in our house ( well probably until the newness wares of ) Fully recommend by both of us !Read full review...

I bought this as a replacement for a cylinder hoover with 2 days ago and can say I am already very impressed despite only using it twice!Although slightly heavier than expected, it is easy to manoeuvre and delivers excellent suction power!Based on previous Pet models, this is the first model Iv been pleased with In regards to the quality of suction on pet hairs (especially on the sofa) and I haven’t had to go over with damp cloths afterwards to bring up the remaining pet hairs.It’s slim, neat design enables it to be stored easily and it doesn’t take up too much room in my cupboard.The cord I feel is longer than some which is an added bonus for me personally who doesn’t have as many sockets in each room as some.Attachments are easy and straight forwards to take on and off.The sturdy feel to it already makes me feel confident that it will last up an awful lot longer than my previous hoover!

Purchased this vacuum a week ago after the previous one fell down the stairs (did it jump or was it pushed?). Well done Vax for the recyclable packaging. This vacuum came assembled, and came with a set of useful tools. It comes with a nice long 10 metre cable, and on switching on, using it in the hard floor/short carpet mode I was completely astounded by the amount of dirt this little machine picked up, it was like I had never vacuumed the carpet! Glad the old one fell down the stairs and broke. It is fairly quiet to operate, and after a couple of runs over the carpets with this vacuum, the carpets look noticably cleaner. Very glad we purchased this, highly recommended by a happy customer.It is a shame the version with headlights is noticably more expensive, as this would have been useful.

We bought this to replace a cordless one that we wee never really happy with .. BTW, the battery for the Dyson cordless was extortionate !!Currys had a few models but this one was out of stock. We bought from Direct Vacuums on eBay .. faultless service ! Delivery was pretty quick.Vax itself is quite heavy but it does split (kinda like Thunderbirds ") so you can carry it round. The suction is fantastic and actually pulled some carpet up. Accessories supplied are OK but for another £20 you can but the "Pro" set direct from Vax. Replacing/washing filters id easy enough but can be a bit tricky for arthritic fingers.The "hard floor" setting could throw up some bigger bits of dirt as it just opens a small window on the front.All in all,one very happy customer.

This a great upright hoover. It was very easy to assemble. Packed with loads of power, you can feel the suction pulling at the base. Easy to manoeuvre and very responsive to the slightest of touch. Loads of extra tools for all the nooks and crannies. Long lead means there is no pulling at the plug socket. I bought this as I wanted a hoover that was multifunctional and that could adapt to all situations. Not the lightest in weight although the robustness of the hoover makes up for this. This hoover could only be improved by achieving a closer clean at the edges of a room, however the handy tools make up for this. I am very pleased with my purchase.

We were pleasantly surprised by this vacuum cleaner. It was much quieter than we expected. The lift off feature is fantastic and makes cleaning the stairs, coving and skirting much easier. It’s surprisingly light weight too. The tools that were included were ok but would thoroughly recommend buying the additional kit especially for the radiator brush attachment! The only two negative we have are it’s difficult to clean the beater bar as you have to remove the screws and the hard floor attachment has to be manually added. Overall, we would definitely recommend this power cleaner and feel it is a competive alternative to other big names!

I bought this for my cat mad friend! Both loved colour as it was unpacked. Very eager to try it on carpet that hadn’t been vacuumed for a couple of weeks- wow! Great suction and brought the ole up and removed cat hair proficiently. Only criticism is that the black latch on front snapped and had to glued on , not sure if it will hold. Shouldn’t interfere with the suction. I’m sure I could of sent back but to be honest couldn’t face the wait for new replacement. I would definately recommend this product for pet owners and for those needing a lightweight,manoeuvrable vacuum cleaner. Good selection of tools, especially the stair tool .

I bought this vacuum cleaner a few weeks ago and have been really impressed with it's power and ability to pick up all the dirt and all the hair! We don't have pets but my hair gets everywhere and this machine has no problems picking it up. The lift-off feature is superb for tackling stairs.The only downside is that the hose is very tightly coiled and not really long enough, which makes it a bit awkward when trying to do skirting boards etc. I think the 2.5m length includes the handle part, but the hose part could do with being a bit longer or more flexible.Otherwise it's great and I am very pleased with the purchase.

Bought this recently from Vax. Excellent pickup on all floor surfaces. You can feel the power on the carpets and the amount of fluff and dirt picked up from an already “Clean” lounge carpet was amazing.Had to reduce the suction for the rugs or I would have lost them LOL.Love the idea of removing from the base for the stairs etc.Only downside found was the hose on the cylinder could do with being 1 metre. longer for stairs etc. I found it a bit short. Excellent product. Many thanks VaxI have already recommended it to friends xxx

Bad: Short hose. Small capacity. Fixed height handle too tall. Fur and fluff tool didn’t work well. Crevice tool is very short.Good: Excellent cleaner, decent variety of tools*, long cable, lightweight, easy to clean/maintain, Rotor brush stops immediately. Hard floor attachment makes VAXing go quicker.Other: 100% recyclable packaging, but some of it is plastic. Turbo tool doesn’t work on soft surfaces.Recommend: Yes - it’s a good cleaner, but I think my previous VAX Pet is better overall.

The power of this cleaner is remarkable, even when using the Turbo head, which is great on the stairs and for cat hair. Made our carpets look like new. The unique feature is the ability to take off the cylinder when cleaning the stairs, although it's not that light. Essentially you have both an upright & cylinder cleaner in 1. Hoses are quick & easy to detach and add tools to. Only negatives are having to clip on attachment to use on hard floors, very annoying, and the plastics are a bit cheap.
