Max Factor Radiant Lift Foundation - No. 030, PorcelainThis foundation is apparently a combination of Max Factor's Radiance and Longwear foundations. The Radiance part means it gives a slight healthy glow effect and the Longwear part means it lasts all day long. It also has sun protection (SPF 30) and hyaluronic acid, though I'm not sure how much benefit these actually bring to the skin. Please note Porcelain is a very pale colour for only the palest complexions.=== THINGS I LIKE ABOUT THIS PRODUCT ===* Simple elegant glass bottle with a golden pull-off lid* Comes in a hygienic pump dispenser* A small amount can be pumped out so you aren't left with a massive dollop of foundation you can't use*The foundation goes on smoothly and spreads out and blends easily* Provides medium coverage and can be layered up to full coverage by slowly adding more product* Slightly dewy appearance (as compared to a matte foundation)* Contains SPF 30 sun protection to protect against the UVB rays that cause sunburn (the sunscreen is presumably the zinc oxide in the ingredients list)=== NIGGLES ===* There is no star value given for protection against the UVA rays that cause premature ageing. This means it is likely that this foundation is only providing protection against sunburn not ageing and, if so, will be giving a false sense of security. To be sure of sun protection, this foundation should be worn with separate sunscreen that includes at least 4 star UVA protection.* Hyaluronic acid is almost at the bottom of the ingredients list, so I'm not sure whether it is present in a quantity that will have any meaningful effect or is just a marketing gimmickFor sale at the time of writing this review at £14.99.

I’ve been using the radiant lift foundation everyday for the last two weeks in place of my trusted Mac foundation. I wanted to experiment with more budget friendly products for daily use and had found majority of the drugstore branded foundations not quite cut for what I wanted. I wasn’t expecting the radiant lift to be any difference even though it’s on the higher side of budget friendly. These are the main points I’ve found- best colour match out of all the many foundations I have used, in particular for my ‘winter skin’ which is paler and duller and always needs a good undertone to ‘lift’. I suppose it does in fact bring the radiance. My complexion is coffee and cream as I’m mixed race and it can be incredibly hard to find that perfect colour match with foundations, regardless of whether it’s the luxury brands or the cheaper variety. So I was very impressed with this and relieved to have found a product which will help me look like one person! It’s also long lasting and I’d describe the finish as quite full coverage. If you were looking for something light wearing I wouldn’t describe this as that, so I will not in fact be using this as a daily foundation but only when I need that extra coverage. I find my Mac is much lighter in comparison. As a consequence of this, I feel that if like me you have combination skin, especially with an oily T Zone, I’d recommend you use this very sparingly in this areas as powedering throughout the day can quickly and easily produced that horrid caked effect. Max Factor RADIANT LIFT Foundation in PORCELAIN No 30Max Factor Make-Up has been around for a very long time and is well tried and tested.1st Impressions:• The make up is presented in a well weighted glass bottle with a satin gold effect cap that has a smooth but snug fit. The make-up is dispensed via a pump action top, which I advise to press gently, otherwise it tends to shoot out too much.• There are no instructions for use, however there is a very long List of Ingredients on a label on the reverse of the bottle.• The foundation is a pale colour and PORCELAIN No 30 is the perfect description. In Use:• The make-up has a nice creamy consistency and is easy to smooth over your face.• This Foundation gives excellent coverage,it is quite dense. It has a slight sheen to it and also has a lovely fragrance.• It is designed to give all day hydration and is categorised as SPF30• My skin felt very comfortable and not at all dry and I found that not much of it was needed, and will therefore be economical. The effect was a little bit too heavy for me. As I am an older woman, I think that less is more on ageing skin. I note that younger ladies use a heavier coverage and this Radiant Lift should suit them well. When I was younger, this Foundation would have been perfect. It lasted well.At time of writing this Review, the RRP is £14.99 which in my opinion is very good value for money from a long standing and well know name in the cosmetic industry.

I have used Max Factor for a lomg time and, in fact, have just reviewed a primer of theirs. I have had many of their foundations which have come and gone over the last thirty years and though I have used other makes, i usually revert back to Max Factor. This is a long lasting radiant foundation though I have to say in my case radiance is a little hard to come by these days! As you get older you need to be careful about make up, too heavy and it looks caked and will emphasise lines, too lightweight and it does not do the job. The shade I have used is Porcelain which suits me as I have very pale skin and anything darker stands out in an unnatural way.It has a wand applicator which means you can regulate the amount you use and do not oversqueeze a tube or plastic bottle. You just need to scrape it against the neck of the container to get rid of the excess.I used this in conjunction with a Max Factor primer and my make up stayed in place for most of the day. I have a dry skin and find that I need to refresh my foundation as it can make my skin feel tight but this one lasted longer than usual. It is very liquid and is easy to apply. It also has a sun protection factor of 30 which will not be needed with winter coming on, but good to know that it is there.Well priced and as I think the applicator will mean one bottle will last a long time, good value for money.

A chunky 30ml pot of foundation with a screw top with applicator attached. I tested 40 Light Ivory which was a good match for my daughters pale skin. Comes in an impressive 15 shades, so your sure to find one that suits. Gives a natural look, so wont hide blemishes so you will still need concealer and corrector for that. Hyaluronic Acid is not an ingredient I'm familiar with and it sounds scary ( acide on my face !) , but a quick research I found that this naturally occurs in the skin to add moisture but ageing slows this down. The product is fragrance free, but I did detect an odour, not unpleasant but put me in mind of paint. It felt light and there was no transfer on shirt collars so passed the touch test too.I was happy with how the foundation looked even after a couple of hours. My daughter removed with warm flannel at end of day, no clogged pores or breakouts, so she was happy.I applied with my fingers after using a moisturiser and primer. Tip; wait a few minutes after moisturising before use.SPF 30 is a standard addition in most brands foundation these days, but reality is that it provides a false sense of protection. I watched a TV daytime show this year showing how much product would have to be applied to provide any adequate protection and it was quite alarming.

This is a foundation that manages to give you the best of both worlds- you get excellent coverage, long lasting wear and it makes your skin look great... so the best of three worlds really!I like to apply it using a sponge as I find that this way I can build as much coverage as I need. For light imperfections you can get away without using a concealer, really obvious imperfections ( that bright red angry spot that appears the day before a big event) still need a little concealer though.Transference is minimal, obviously really rubbing at your face will remove it but light contact doesn’t.It made my skin look brighter and dewy, it didn’t sit in wrinkles, instead softening the crows feet that are starting around the corners of my eyes.I choose to set it with a light dusting of powder, but you could get away without doing so if you want.Lastly removal- a make up wipe did a good job, but I found it did take a couple of them to make sure every scrap was gone and I preferred washing it off with a good facial wash.

I don’t often use foundation, because I prefer a lighter coverage, and long lasting ones tend to be too heavy for me. Also, as I’ve become older and developed some ‘laughter lines’ around the sides of my eyes, I find anything heavier than tinted moisturiser tends to emphasise them.I tried this product mixed with a lightweight primer - about 50/50 – and I was pleased with the result. It gave a good, not too heavy, healthy looking coverage, and lasted for around six hours. My skin is normal/dry, but I have a slightly greasy T zone, and - as with most products I’ve tried - a reapplication on this area would be necessary after a few hours. This was no different.Shade 050 Natural was almost perfect for me – fair complexion with pinkish lower cheeks – but I may try a shade lighter to get a better match with my neck. All in all, this is a decent foundation that goes on smoothly, gives a non-greasy glow to complexion, and it’s much lighter than most foundations that I’ve tried before.

Being of a 'certain age' I do not like the heavy look from many of the foundation creams available today. However, the coverage this gives is much more like a good quality BB cream. The shade I used (natural) is barely noticeable when applied to the skin, giving a very natural skin tone, just evening out imperfections. I goes on evenly and gives a good finish with a 'barely there' natural look. When I first opened the bottle, the spatula inside was quite thick with make-up, but I imagine this was because it had been tipped in transit, but now it has stood for a few hours, this has dripped down into the bottle. It has a slight smell on first application, which I wasn't sure I liked, but this soon faded - I have a big problem with perfumed cosmetics due to perfume sensitivity but having worn this for several hours, I haven't had any reaction. Lovely make-up, especially good for older ladies. Big bottle is good value.

Max Factor Long Lasting Radiant Lift foundation is lovely to apply cosmetic which gives a really nice even application. It sits perfectly on my skin and with the added advantage it was so easy to apply and blend in using this brush EcoTools Wander Complexion Makeup Brush. It blended in within seconds and the fact that I loved the natural looking coverage it provided given me an even finish. It stayed put all day with hardly any smudges, I give a light brush of powder halfway through the evening to simply remove a light shiny complexion. This is one of the best foundations I have used and for the price, I am amazed at how well it looked.I have used both the Porcelain and the light Ivory and both were perfect for my very pale skin.Max Factor Long Lasting Radiant Lift Foundation is a very natural looking cosmetic which gives me an even base to apply my other cosmetics.A great foundation I am happy to recommend.

I’ve always find it so difficult to get the right foundation. I have combination skin that gets oily on my t zone and dry in other places and always find matte foundations look too cakey on and other foundations just slide straight off my skin in just a few hours. This foundation has changed everything it looks so natural it covers everything I want it to cover whilst making me look glowy and have that “perfect skin” look and stays put all day! Also have had a lot of problems with finding a foundation colour that matches my skin tone however they have a huge selection of shade range and i take light ivory no 40 and it matches my skin PERFECTLY the best match I’ve had with any other foundation. And thank you for putting a decent SPF in there (spf 30) so if your in a rush and forgot to put on your spf you have no worries! please don’t ever discontinue this foundation as I don’t know what I would do :(

Being honest I'm not a girly girl and I'm not a big fan of make up. After I couldn't find my usual one I opted to try this in natural.I am definitely not very good at all this new age super make up tricks/applications so please bear in mind my review is based on minimal application.I don't like heavy make up where it conceals everything, I don't have a problem blending over my flaws rather than concealing them completely which is why I always mix my foundation with my face cream. I am really pleased with this foundation, mixes well with my face cream and smoothes over my skin really easily, no streaks and still able to see some of my scares and freckles (which as I said is what I want).I've no idea what it's like without mixing it with face cream but I dare say the coverage would be so much better if that's the look you are going for.

This is a lovely Max Factor Foundation in a glass 30ml bottle with a pump. It is a light tone, a little lighter than what you would expect from the description of Warm Almond. It has a SPF of 30 and contains Hyaluronic Acid. It applies very smoothly and only a small amount is required. It gives great coverage, however I have large pores, which were highlighted by the foundation, and it can also highlight dry areas. I tried the foundation over a primer, but unfortunately, this combination seemed to highlight the pores even further. Therefore, for me, this foundation is best applied over a moisturiser. It lasts well, as good as any other foundation I have tried. I only tend to apply it once in the morning,so it is worth considering how much Sun protection one is actually getting from a foundation. I feel it is good value for money.

I have been using this foundation for two weeks now and it has literally changed my life! The cover it provides is phenomenal, I’m 31 therefore starting to become more self-conscious of the overall appearance of my skin, especially early signs of ageing, but this Even covers my fine lines! It makes my face look even, and one colour, and now I found all the rest of my make up looks better too! It doesn’t feel happy at all on my skin, not done even covers my fine lines! It makes my face look even, and one colour, and now I found all the rest of my make up looks better to! It doesn’t feel heavy at all on my skin, nor does it feel clogged which you would expect with this level of coverage!!It spreads really well on the face, i generally only use 1 pump so it will last a while!! Max factor has always been a forerunner in the cosmetic industry and this Radiant foundation is no exception. On opening the bottle I found a plastic stick, which makes getting the foundation out the bottle very easy. The colour I have is natural 050. The foundation wasn't orangey or too heavy for my skin. I always wear a primer under my usual foundation, and tried it with primer and without primer. I have to say that the foundation sat better with the primer on and looked better. Without primer my face felt tight and dry after a few hours. This is a good sized bottle and compared to other make is favourably priced. Lovely foundation with light reflecting micro-pearls with hyaluronic acid to replenish and lock in skin moisture. This foundation is great on my skin and great value for my pocket, so therefore it's 5* from me folks.
