This has a matte finish but a feel to me, feels like a balm or a "cream". It takes a little long to dry down but it's good for those with very dry lips since it doesn't suck out too much moisture like the suedes or lingerie. Compared to the suedes, it's a little bit slicker and if you have problems with lipstick cracking, these won't do it. It takes a while to dry(I timed it at 20 minutes) and the finish LOOKS powdery matte. It isn't transferproof but the it hardly comes off on my fingers and never bleeds into my lip lines. The pigmentation isn't as good as some of the liquid suedes but it's very buildable. Interestingly enough, no matter how much I use at one time(1 thick opaque layer vs thinner sheerer layers),it takes the same amount of time to dry. My favorite usage of these is layering under and over liquid matte lipsticks that crack on me. My lips are naturally very hydrated so these provide a little bit too much hydration for me and slip a little toomuch. However, my best girlfriends with drier lips love getting these as gifts so I always give them some as little goodies. The last a lot better on them than on me. This product does break down with food but reapplication is very seamless and easy. It feels very lightweight(and sometimes slick) on the lips and lasts like a regular tube of lipstick. The color range is beautiful. I've bought some from the 1st release and the two times Nyx released more. It has a little bit of everything and I hope Nyx continues releasing more fun shades like a black or a green or a greige. One of my favorite shades is London which is a bit too nude-brown to be a MLBB unless I sheer it out but I like layering it with other(too matte) lipsticks to warm up and tone down a neutral color so it's more like a MLBB terracotta color. It's a little bit more brown and less red/pink than Abu Dhabi. Stockholm is less brown/nude and is brighter. All these shades are gorgeous, I just wish retailers had testers for all the shades since it's a bit of a guessing game. The true color is only found once you open them since the outside is a thick opaque plastic that doesn't necessarily match what it's supposed to be [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I wanted to find an inexpensive liquid-to-matte lipstick to see what the fuss was about and NYX delivered. I own Amsterdam, Monte Carlo, Prague and Transylvania. They're light, they smell good without being perfumey and I kind of want to own them all. I definitely don't have perfect lips all the time, but i've found as long as I don't have any visibly ripped or loose skin, there's no problems with caking or creasing. One thin coat of this stuff and it looks like a dry stain, like my lips have been painted with ink. It's not drying, and it doesn't feel like powder on my lips. I use it by itself, almost always with NYX's retractable lip liner for a dramatic look, but most often I wear it as a top coat on other lipsticks.Prague is my favorite color and the one I use as a top coat over other colors. It's such a true merlot pink and it enhances some of my favorite shades of red lip color to make a more bold and striking cherry. My favorite look is a bright red liner with a tinted red balm and Prague swiped over top. My lips appear twice their size and the color lasts a minimum of five hours. But by itself, it's so flattering and remarkable. My only gripe is an inconsistency between swatches and products. I find Monte Carlo to not be as bold a red as promised, and it often fades when I wear it (quite quickly) to a dark pink. But I'm just a red lip snob and I like my reds exceedingly bold and bright. Also I think I could avoid this happening if I wear a primer underneath. This is a great product at a great value and I'm glad I found it!

NYX Professional Makeup Soft Matte Lip Cream, Creamy and Matte Finish, Highly Pigmented Colour, Long Lasting, Vegan Formula, Shade: CannesSupplied in a small plastic bottle measuring just 9 x 1.7 cm the total contents of this are 8 ml, not a huge amount but enough for several applications. The screw off cap is plastic with a black rubber coating on the outer surface making it easy to grip whilst applying. Built into the cap is the applicator which has a small soft fibre tip for soaking up the cream. The colour I received was 'Cannes' which I can only describe as a deep milky pink. The cream is quite smooth, it's easily applied, coverage is also good and it does seem to go a long way.My wife claims that this does have a slight fruity fragrance which personally I could not detect. No matter how hard I sniffed at the bottle, I could not detect even a hint of fragrance. My wife is adamant that the fragrance is there so I dare not disagree with her.Once applied this has a dull matte look. My wife informs me that it feels good on her lips, they don't feel dry or stiff. Once dry there appears to be no tack or stickiness, neither does it leave a colour print on her drinking cup. Although she is happy with this, she does say that it doesn't last too well as she has to refresh it every few hours.Considering the current low asking price of £4.79 you can't really go wrong with this.If you have found my review at all helpful I would very much appreciate if you could click the 'Helpful' button below, thank you.

I'm on my third tube of Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream. I've used two different colors, Amsterdam and Antwerp. Amsterdam is the perfect shade of red, neither too orange nor too blue, and the coverage is full and matte. I've purchased it twice. Antwerp is a coral-pink color, and provides a nice full coverage as well. I have red hair, and fair skin with a good amount of pink. Amsterdam looks just wonderful with my coloring. Antwerp isn't quite as good against my skin-tone, but I let my husband pick it out, so we can blame him for that. I'm sure it would look swell on a darker complexion. Neither color is streaky, and there is no lingering stickiness, only beautiful, velvety color. This formula doesn't leave any staining on my lips the next day, which is a problem I've experienced with other full coverage, matte lipsticks. I've worn the lip cream with and without matching Nyx lip liner. With the liner, my lips have better definition and the staying power is increased, but it works just fine on its own as well, so I'm able to toss just the one product in my handbag for touch-ups throughout the day. I love the formula, and hope that Nyx continues to market it for a long time. A good matte lipstick is hard to find, and this product is an absolute bargain. My first tube lasted over 6 months before I had to repurchase. Next, I want to try Ibiza (fuschia) or Addis Ababa (rose).

I absolutely adore NYX's line of soft matte lip cream. Obsessed actually, once I bought my first one I couldn't stop buying them! Out of 34 I have 14 colors and i'm still adding on to my collection. I have a tanish skin tone so nude/light pink colors don't work with me well but it's okay because they had a BUNCH of other colors that work for me. Some of my favorites have to be Rome for everyday use, Copanhgen for a dark dramatic red lip, Seoul for a fun bright purple pink, and Prague for that everyday pink! The formula and pigmentation is so good, and they are very reasonably priced. I love the matte finish on them, they don't leave my lips feeling dry or flaky they actually are very moisturizing for a matte lip cream. They stay on all day without having to reapply, they don't come off with food or drink. I once ate a giant hamburger once and didn't really hesitating diving in on it and my lip cream remained on at the end of my dinner! The application process of this product is also fairly easy, after exfoliating your lips (which I highly recommend) and moisturizing them with your fav chap stick the applicator is very easy to handle and use and you're in full control to really define the lines of your lip, no lip liner is ever needed. Over all I am very pleased with this product and highly recommended it to anybody who is looking for fun lipstick!

So here's the thing. I LOVE Nyx like you wouldn't believe. It's always so hard to go to my local Target or Ulta and not buy something from them. One of the first products I ever tried from them is this matte lip cream in the shade San Paulo, and I love it to death. It's been my tried and true for over a year now, and I've recommended these lip creams to a bunch of my friends. They last a pretty long time, even after I eat, and the color payoff is amazing. They also smell heavenly. My problem arose when I purchased Tokyo, which is their light pink shade. I've tried it multiple times since I bought it, but I get the same results: streaky, chalky lip color that settles into the lines of my lips. The color in the bottle is so pretty, but I can't seem to get it to match on my lips. I've tried using lip liners, translucent powders, exfoliating my lips before application, and applying multiple coats after they've dried. Unfortunately, this color just doesn't work for me. I figure it might be because it's a lighter shade, and usually lighter, pinker tones aren't quite as pigmented. It breaks my heart, but 'll probably steer clear of the lighter Nyx shades for a while! Although I can't use it on its own, I do love combining Tokyo and San Paulo in an ombré lip, so at least I've found a use for it there. Hope this helps!

Beautiful beautiful beautiful!! I am so very happy with this product and it has met my expectations in every way. I have been wanting the nyx matte lip creams for months but have never got round to purchasing so when I finally decided to purchase one, you can imagine how excited I was when it came! The cream is velvety smooth and glides onto the lips like a dream. The colour is opaque in one coat and it really is a gorgeous pink colour. One thing I would recommend is going on YouTube and viewing a lip swatch video when deciding which colour you would like as the colour of the lip cream is different to the colour of the tube you see on the photos. The cream dries down to a matte finish but it isn't like a liquid lipsticks,I don't find it uncomfortable to wear, it isn't massively drying like liquid lipstick and unfortunately, doesn't stay in place quite as well. However, it does stay put for a pretty decent amount of time.I'm really happy with my purchase and am so glad that I wasn't disappointed as I had been wanting it for so long! I will definitely be purchasing a lot of the other colours once pay day falls! I really like the look of London and Antwerp.P.s I have added a photo of me wearing the lippie to help you determine the actual colour against that of the tube. Please excuse the dodgy pose!

I ordered 3 of these lip creams (Copenhagen, Prauge, and Cannes) and I absolutely love each and every one! The fomula is so smooth and easy to work with, they don't sink into my lines or highlight any imperfections on my lips and last a really long time! I'll definitely be buying a ton more of these. I thought I'd give a detailed review on each of the shades I have.Copenhagen: A dark berry/plum color. On my extraordinarily fair skin it looks VERY dark and vampy, but it's still a wearable color if you love bold colors. It's quite opaque, doesn't fade too awkwardly, and has undertones that would suit just about any skintone.Prauge: Wow is this one bright! Another berry color, but a fair amount lighter than Copenhagen. Prague is not for the faint of heart or ladies that look for more subdued shades. It's a lovely summer shade and will definitely catch eyes. Just as opaque as the others, and applies as nicely too.Cannes: This one is much lighter than the tube would have you believe. It's a nice "My Lips but Better" shade, especially for those of us with pigmented lips. It's an almost dusty muted rose color (it's hard to describe really!) that would be great for days when you're rocking heavy eyeshadow and want to tone down your lips. Application is as wonderful as the others.

I bought the shade Istanbul after browsing the Internet and needed a lip cream to replace my beloved bourjois ones, they always discontinue my favourite stuff!!I looked through various swatches and decided as a pale cool toned brunette this would be a nice every day lip colour just to pop on for college and work. This shade is almost a my lips but better shade but a little bit paler than my naturally quite pigmented lips. It is in a lipgloss type packaging with a doe foot applicator and this stuff smells amazing as soon as you open the lid the super yummy strawberry jelly and ice cream smell hits you! Not overpowering not that I'd mind anyway I just want to eat this stuff! It's a neutral slightly mauvey pink that lasts quite a while, I have ate and drank and chattered on with myself wearing this and it doesn't leave that dreaded ring and it wears off altogether not in patches like some matte lip colours!! It's also not drying either, however this could be something to do with the fact I am addicted to lip balms so my lips never get the chance to get dry and crackly.I would recommend this shade to paler people like me or just as a go to lip shade for the day :)Brilliant seller and arrived in a few days well packaged!!Did I mention it smells amazing?!

Tip: Be sure your lips have been buffed, smoothed out, and dry before applying this soft matte lip cream. Because if its not, then the lip cream is going to clump up the dead skin on your lips and/or settle into your dry cracked lips. So buff and moisturize your lips a couple of hours before or the night before applying this lip cream. That way you can get the best results of this lip cream to work it's magic. Review:I got the colors in Monte Carlo, San Paolo, and Stockholm. I'm really liking the San Paolo. It brings a pop of color to my everyday natural makeup routine. I'm impressed with how pigmented the colors are and how soft it is on your lips after you've applied it.One of the benefits of a matte lip cream is that it is not sticky at all like those lipgloss. Also it feels like you're not wearing anything at all either. It's not smudge proof but it does stay on pretty good even after eating or drinking, and it lasts up to 8-10 hours for me at least. It is really easy to wipe off too. Once you wipe it off, be sure to apply a lip balm to condition your lips because the soft matte lip cream does dry out your lips after you've taken it off. Overall, very satisfied with this lip cream. Will definately be buying more colors.

I bought a few of these last month and I absolutely LOVE them. I bought four of them in the shades Budapest, Rome, Vancouver, and San Paulo. Out of all four of these, my favorite is Rome, then Budapest. The colors are so pigmented and the texture of the product is so smooth. The formula is very consistent throughout the different shades (also, they smell amazing and of cake batter). The colors are compatible with almost any skin tone! I am able to go long hours with wearing these without reapplying for a while. Some say that this isn't a true matte finish, but if you let it dry properly for about 15 minutes, the results are stunning. The only problem I had with my online shopping experience was that the swatches shown online are not true to the color in real life. For example, Vancouver seems to show as a charming deep reddish-plum color. However, when I received it in the mail it was actually a very very dark purple. It's bold, but I still love it. Also, if you're concerned that you may need a lip liner, they look great without one; but I did end up purchasing a lip liner along with them in the shade Auburn. They look fantastic with or without a lip liner and I highly recommend them!

I've loved the Soft Matte Lip Creams for years and I was excited to finally get some of the new shades. They are without question a good value, creamy and pigmented, so I'm just going to address how I felt specifically about the colors I purchased. My favorite of the three was Copenhagen, which went on like a dream with no patchiness, and is the prettiest dark, autumn plum. It complements my neutral-warm, south Asian skill very well.Next is Morocco. Bright orange-red has been a really trendy color this year and I wanted to love the color very much but it was a bit too bright for the darkness of my skin, and it didn't come out as opaque as it looks in the bottle. Still, it adds a lovely, light orange sheen, but not quite the bright hue I expected from the bottle.Lastly Transylvania. It's special fun to just own a color so dark. It's similar to Copenhagen but cooler and darker. I don't think it was as patchy as some have claimed, but the formula wasn't as evenly pigmented as Copenhagen. If you had to pick one of the two (because they're similar) I recommend the more wearable and more pigmented Copenhagen, but Transylvania is certainly its own fun.

I love this lip gloss. I've never worn any lip makeup that lasts so long - it almost stains the lips and the colour lasts hours! It also doesn't smudge either. I had compliments on the first day I wore it and I'm wearing it all the time now.Pros:- Super pigmented - the colour is really vivid and vibrant on the lips- Nice matte finish, so you can pull it off on all occasions without it being OTT- Stays on for hours. I'm not even kidding, I looked at my lips after eating and drinking hours later and my lips were still a lovely reddy tinge. I've never worn anything with as good results as that!- Easy to apply and draw on with the pointed wand- Vegan formula and good ingredientsCons:- Can beslightly drying so make sure you top up with lip balm if you suffer with dry lipsI think this lip gloss is gorgeous. It's the best brand I've ever worn and if you don't like matte you can just add a shiny lip moisturiser on top and then you have a lovely glossy, long-lasting shade which also beats the drying issue. I'm going to buy more colours and also can feel guilt free as it's all vegan. Brilliant value too!

These little guys are very vivid and rich in pigment. They take quite a while to fade for me, and that's not very often. They only do so if I've been wearing them the entire day. When they do though it somewhat makes this nice ombre effect, so I never minded it. Once in a while I'll hear people say that they are streaky or too dry. For the streak rumors, I haven't had a problem. They apply pretty easy for me, not needing much or any layering at all for these babies. They are rather dry though--which I get from all of the matte "liquid-to-dry" lippies. So what I always do is layer on some Shea or Coconut butter balm first before putting it on. Gloss works wonders with it. We all have texture on our lips,I myself have a few prominent ones. Don't avoid this product if you're scared of it bringing those out. As I said, putting on a sheer lip gloss of a similar product will give it the moisture you need. Otherwise, it can get rather dry and have a strange texture to it. I personally have that issue though with the more reddish colors than I do with the neutrals. Hope this helps anyone reading it!
