I was sent all 12 of the Liquid Suede Cream Lipsticks.Starting off with the shades that I would highly recommend:(These 7 shades were comfortable to wear, lasted up to 6hrs-8hrs through food and drink. They did not transfer, flake or crack. They did not stain my lips and were easy to remove with a makeup wipe. No streaking or second coat was needed with these 7 shades).1. Kitten Heels -One of the shades that has the best application out of the entire line of 12. The drying time for Kitten Heels was immediate, less than a minute after application.2. Stone Fox -Great application with a drying time of 2-3 minutes, highly pigmented!3. Amethyst -Amethyst applied amazingly. It did take a little longer to set completely, like around 5 minutes.4. Vintage -Great application with a drying time of 2-3 minutes.5. Soft Spoken -Soft-Spoken, the set up time was 2 minutes but the time to dry completely to no longer be tacky was 30mins for me.6. Sandstorm -Smooth, highly pigmented nude that took up to 4 minutes to dry completely.7. Cherry Skies -Although it did have an amazing application and dried within 2-3 minutes, some parts of your lip will tend to look a little darker than the other areas. Try to apply it quickly and with small strokes to get it to come out evenly.Shades that didn't apply or wear well for me:(Some of these 5 shades applied so horribly for me that I couldn't continue to wear them to state how long they would have lasted. Adding a second coat made them worse. But if you still want to try anyone of these 5 shades I suggest using a lip pencil, that is that same color of one of the lipsticks, all over your lips first. Apply a little chapstick and then attempt application. I did however try that step I just shared but I still had difficulty).1. Tea & Cookies -Super streaky, patchy, needed 3 coats, cracked and separated immediately. Was really over drying and chalky. Just did not look good at all I couldn't even wear it to see how long it would last it just looked horrible.2. Life's A Beach -The color is amazing but it took a lot to get full coverage. I had to do two coats but then it would never dry properly and would end up being patchy and then started to get crumbly. Also could not even wear it to see how long it lasts because it was so unpresentable and cracking and separating.3. Sway -Sway was difficult to apply. It was pretty streaky after the first application, then put a second coat and that helped. The drying time for Sway was 2-3 mintues for me. It did become a little over drying and chalky looking on me as well.4. Orange County -These particular color was rather difficult to apply and do to the applicator being large and not very soft it was applying streaky but was still highly pigmented. Orange County dried in 2 minutes. Then became a little crackly and after 2hrs felt a little over drying. I then tested it with a lip liner underneath which helped them apply nicer and lessened the cracking to a very minimum. I definitely recommend trying them with and without a lip liner to see your results. The color payoff how ever is amazing and very bright!5. Pink Lust -The application and wear for Pink Lust exactly the same compared to Orange County. Rather difficult and do to the applicator being large and not very soft it applied streaky but was still highly pigmented. Pink Lust dried in 2 minutes. Then became a little crackly and after 2hrs felt a little over drying. I then tested it with a lip liner underneath which helped them apply nicer and lessened the cracking to a very minimum. I definitely recommend trying them with and without a lip liner to see your results. The color payoff how ever is amazing and very bright!

I purchased several shades of the NYX Liquid Suede lipsticks, I got Kitten Heels, Vintage, Stone Fox a few months ago when they were first released, and recently bought Soft Spoken. Vintage is a lovely dark burgundy, Stone Fox was a teal/blue dark gray color, Kitten Heels is a warm, orangey red and Soft Spoken is a mauvey, pink-brown shade. The packaging is a long, cylindrical, opaque, colored plastic tube (can't see contents or product level inside) with a black gem/rhinestone on the end. It is probably 1.5-2 inches longer than the soft matte lip cream tube, and slightly shorter than the NYX Lingerie lippie tube. You get 0.13 fl. oz/4mL , compared to the NYX Lingerie lippies (0.13 fl. oz/4mL),NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream (0.27 fl. oz/mL).I slapped Soft Spoken on before church on Sunday without lipliner or primer. The applicator is a long, thin doefoot which applies the product precisely but takes a little more finesse than your average doefoot applicator until you are used to it. The color dried down much darker than I was expecting but the color was right up my alley for lipshades, as I prefer warmer dark MLBB shades (NC20 here). It has a faint chemical smell (not very noticeable unless you smell the wand) that dissipated after applying. The texture is more liquid than the soft matte lip creams. It was at full opacity after one swipe and it was very pigmented. It dried after about a minute of wear. It was very comfortable to wear, I could feel the product on my lips but it wasn't dry or uncomfortably heavy. It didn't flake or crack. I wore this product from 10:15am until about 5pm and it didn't smear, smudge, budge, or fade at all. I did eat a little and drink while wearing it but didn't eat anything greasy to see if it would hold up. I was amazed by the longevity of this lipstick when I looked in the mirror at 5pm! I had to remove the product with a makeup wipe.I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who is interested in trying liquid matte lip color. The price point is fair and the quality is good. It is easily accessible through the NYX site or other online retailers as well as at brick and mortar stores.

The formula and color options are bomb, for the price. The color selection is fantastic and I'm excited to get the new shades as well. The texture is mostly good; it goes on like a gloss and dries within minutes. However, the product can get a little clumpy near the inner part of the lips if you eat/drink, but you can just wipe off the center and reapply; not a problem at all. The product doesn't have a strong smell, but it smells a little bit like pasta or something. It sounds weird but I'm not bothered by it at all. I bought "Sandstorm" first, and this is my go-to shade. I am pale with cool undertones, and I prefer light brownish/greige nudes, and Sandstorm is a "wearable" shade, but it's still interesting. It was opaque, as far as I could tell. I went through one tube, and when I bought more, I also picked up "Orange County" and "Soft Spoken." Orange county is a bit too bright to be flattering to me, but that's not a product problem. However, after a while, it clumped a lot in the center, and it was very obvious that the color wasn't opaque. I had to apply a few layers, and then it clumped more in the center. This was more uncomfortable because I have big lips, also. I can't tell if the product is any different, or if the problems are the same, but only noticeable when it's bright. When I used this shade on the outside, with a different lipstick in the center, there was no problem. "Soft Spoken" is a warm pink, more than a cool nude. The shade is flattering on a variety of undertones, and the wearing-off issues don't occur for this shade. Overall, the color variety is fantastic, and I think there is a color for everyone to use and enjoy. The formula is great for a drugstore price, and good for color mixing. If you're into that gradient stuff.

I received this product in Vintage and Soft-Spoken a week ago. I've been wearing the product since then to test the wear and color. First off, the lipstick is VERY pigmented, however it does not go on evenly the first time. I was okay with that because it was a very easy fix, I just had to go over the center of my lip one more time.To the eye, the color is very beautiful and it does dry to a matte-finish. However, the feeling it leaves on my lips is almost tacky like when glue is in mid-drying process. It doesn't feel matte. I can definitely deal with the texture because it doesn't feel like my lips are dry which is fantastic because most matte lipsticks destroy my lips.I find that I can apply this lipstick with or without a lip liner and it looks beautiful either way.It doesn't bleed. The color lasts nearly all day, it would have probably lasted me that long if I hadn't had to take it off for band practice. The lipstick is transferable! The lipstick does not define the lines in the lips, nor any dry patches. I didn't even have to exfoliate when putting it on. I was also able to layer the lipstick after it had dried, thanks to the cream. This lipstick did not flake!Overall, this lipstick looks and feels great. The texture it brings is of personal preference. It is transferable with and without a lip liner for me. I give this product a big thumbs up for those just getting into matte lips and don't want to get straight into the process of preping their lips to wear other matte lipsticks that dry the lips and define every wrinkle.

I purchased Pink Lust, Sway, and Tea and Cookies. These were my second experience with liquid lipstick, and did not disappoint. I was very surprised to see that all three were fully opaque in one layer, including Sway, which I wasn't expecting given its pastel colorage. I also loved the slightly tacky texture as opposed to the bone-dry feel you get with some liquid lipsticks. All had great color payoff and were fully opaque in one layer. One of the things I was most impressed with was the quality of the colors. Pink Lust is violently, excellently, neon pink. If you've spent your life questing for the perfect unearthly Barbie color, this is it. Tea and Cookieshas become my go-to casual shade. It's an understated yet still pretty pretty tea rose that ultimately looks like a perfected, pinker version of my natural lip color. Sway is definitely my favorite of these three, however. If you're scrolling through these comments debating whether or not lavender lipstick is something you actually need, the answer is definitely yes. I'm in love with this shade. The only downside to these is that they do tend to get crumbly if you rub your lips together or the like, but overall I was impressed by both their lasting power and color payoff, not to mention their value. They have a slightly oily/chemical scent, but nothing seriously offputting. Definitely worth the money, especially if you like to play around with color! I was sent all 12 of these Liquid Suede Cream Lipsticks. They are indeed liquid to matte lipsticks. However some do have a more satin/semi-matte finish. Also because of the ingredients; glycerin, olive oil, and avocado oil, they keep your lips slightly moisturized. The formula is thin and lightweight. For me it felt like I wasn't wearing any lip product. However the drying time on these beauties can go from 1-5minutes depending on the color. The packaging is pretty sturdy and they come with a longer doe foot applicator. With that being said I think the applicator is a little too big and doesn't have a point to create a clean line.I had the hardest time applying 4 colors, they were very streaky even when I wasn't applying pressure to the applicator. They also didn't dry very well and were patching and cracking. But the 8 other colors I absolutely love! They applied beautifully and dried quite nicely. When those 8 colors completely dried, they didn't feel like you had a mud mask on your lips. It's super comfortable and you can smile without it breaking apart. These lipsticks are extremely waterproof and will stain your skin but not your lips. So far they have lasted me 8hrs, even through eating and drinking. They are transfer proof BUT not rub proof. I don't know what happened there but if you're kissing, drinking from a glass, just touching your lips it will not transfer but if you rub it off it will.

I was very interested in trying "Run the World" since I liked the "Twisted" color in the High Voltage Lipsticks. I was excited to get a matte purple lipstick, and it did not disappoint. I was a bit taken aback by the texture when I first applied it, though. I'm accustomed to wearing the matte lipsticks and lip creams, so it was a bit of a shock that the Liquid Suedes apply as more of a liquid... It felt more "wet" (if that makes sense), and it glided well on my lips. The color wasn't favorable with the immediate application, but once it turned matte, they were more true-to-color. I wasn't too thrilled with the time it took for the lipstick to become matte, but once it did,it didn't transfer much (which allowed me to smother my baby in kisses without having to worry about my lipstick!). Another benefit is their strength. When they say "waterproof," they REALLY mean waterproof! I showered with Soft Spoken, and it looked the same before the shower as it did after. I'm a swim coach, so I spend a lot of the time at the pool, and these are the PERFECT lipsticks to wear--even if you do get in the water. I have Brooklyn Thorn, Soft Spoken, Vintage, and Run the World, and I intend to buy more.Overall, I'd certainly recommend these lipsticks. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I bought Soft Spoken, Sandstorm, & Tea & Cookies. First off let me tell you how smooth all of these go on, it's absolutely perfect. I wear Soft Spoken almost everyday since fall has hit, it's a perfect soft brown with a mauve undertone. It take about 2 to 3 minutes for this to completely dry on my lips, which can get a little aggravating when in a rush and drinking coffee, but once it's dry it's on for most of the day! I hardly ever have to reapply this color. Sandstorm is my second favorite, it's just a soft brown. This one takes about 1 to 2 minutes to completely dry, I use this one when I am feeling a completely matte finish. This one also stays on for a good portion of the day,I do find that I have reapply after eating. Tea & Cookies it not my favorite, I do wear it when I am going for a softer look, but it's very streaky to apply. I have to apply it in 2 coats, and it take about 4 to 5 minutes to dry, this doesn't bother me except for when I am running late, and drinking coffee. The other downside to this shade is that after a while your lips may look dry or begin to crack, which is very unflattering. The color does stay for most of the day, but sometimes I do need to reapply. Over all I love this product!!

I bought this lipstick in the shade stone fox maybe 5 months ago, it was my second encounter with matte liquid lipstick. I was imagining it to be like the bhcosmetics one is (if you have ever tried it) but it is the complete opposite. I tried using it so many time but it was just too liquid for me, never dried down and as it is such a weird grey color I was nervous to wear it out since it might smudge and look crazy! After playing around with it I found that you have to scrape both sides of the wand tip to get the perfect amount of lipstick for both the top and bottom. The applicator is nice but too big for my lips, the shape is great though, so if you have bigger lips this will be helpful. This shade is so unique and once it dries down it is a slightly satin matte, but isn't completely transfer proof for me. My lips can get pretty dry during the winter months but because this doesn't dry down completely it has never felt or looked drying on me. I reccomend you buy the shade simply because it is gorgeous and it's hard to find shades like this, that are cheap and cruelty free. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

I only purchased 1 of these, I'm not big on liquid lipstick and I love the matte lipstick from here but the Brooklyn Thorn looked beautiful so I went for it. Less is more here. The colors are vibrant from the first swipe across the lips, I can see this lasting a long time since you don't need so much lipstick. It felt pretty smooth and surprisingly was very easy to apply. You don't even need a lip liner. I can't say if it lasts long or becomes drying though because I took this product off in 10 minutes which brings me to my only con. It's not true to color. I mean most NYX lipsticks aren't the color you see on the tube for some weird reason but this was way different than advertised and I definitely will not be using it because it looks so ugly on me.The color that comes on my lips from Brooklyn Thorn is literally gray. But I mean I picked the color so I can't blame NYX too much. I probably will by another on of these in a different color because it's very pretty but just be careful when choosing a color as it may not be the color you think.

Several months ago I bought Cherry Skies, Kitten Heels, and Tea and Cookies. They were my first ever matte liquid lipsticks, and I love them! It's started an addiction. All the colors go on very pigmented. You definitely won;t need a second coat, and they're not streakey at all. Kitten Heels and Tea and Cookies stay put and don't transfer. Cherry Skies is pretty dark, so there is some color transfer. I find that brushing some setting powder over my lips helps a lot! I don't use lip liner and I have no issues. Kitten Heels is pretty hard to remove, but it's so worth it because you know the color isn't going anywhere while you're wearing it. They are very light weight and I love the application wand.Sometimes it gives a little too much product, but that's hardly an issue. I'm being pretty critical here- these lipsticks are amazing and I highly recommend them. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
