Whatever this colour is, it isn't natural beige. 'Beige' is a distinctly odd description for this colour, which is a fresh summery pink.Buying lipsticks online is always a real lottery - I've managed to take a photo of the lipstick against a light coloured background that gives a fairly accurate reproduction of the actual colour, which is just a shade or so darker than this - although colour reproduction on your phone/tablet/laptop/PC may give a different impression. This is a summery, flesh- pink shade that isn't unattractive and it looks OK on me, but it wasn't quite what I expected from the description.I liked the consistency of the lipstick, it went on really well, the sharply chiselled tip helped with accurate application. This is the shade of pink that looks good with very lightly tanned skin. The Kate collection is part of the Lasting Finish range, having eaten and drunk whilst wearing it, I would say that whilst not particularly long lasting, it stands up to daily wear and tear better than high gloss finishes. The lipstick didn't bleed either, which at 57 with fine lines starting to gather around my mouth is always a huge plus.Rimmel have also acknowledged that most of us keep lipsticks in our handbags/make up bags for far longer than the six months recommended by some manufacturers and give a 30 month life after opening. I think I have had some of my Rimmels for 30 years; perhaps that's not a good confession. There's no list of ingredients given on the lipstick, but I have sourced one on the Net for the 'Kate' branding, it is reproduced below.RICINUS COMMUNIS (CASTOR) SEED OIL, CANDELILLA CERA/EUPHORBIA CERIFERA (CANDELILLA) WAX/CIRE DE CANDELILLA, OCTYLDODECANOL, CAPRYLIC/CAPRIC TRIGLYCERIDE, MYRISTYL LACTATE, VP/ HEXADECENE COPOLYMER, OZOKERITE, LANOLIN, CASTOR OIL/IPDI COPOLYMER, MEADOWFOAM ESTOLIDE, MYRISTYL MYRISTATE, PARFUM/ FRAGRANCE, SILICA, BENZYL BENZOATE, DI-PPG-3 MYRISTYL ETHER ADIPATE, DIPENTAERYTHRITYL HEXA C5-9 ACID ESTERS, SORBITAN SESQUIOLEATE, TOCOPHEROL, PROPYLPARABEN, COPERNICIA CERIFERA CERA/ COPERNICIA CERIFERA (CARNAUBA) WAX/CIRE DE CARNAUBA, DIAMOND POWDER, ASCORBYL PALMITATE, BENZYL SALICYLATE, BENZYL CINNAMATE, LINALOOL, AQUA/WATER/EAU, CHAMOMILLA RECUTITA (MATRICARIA) FLOWER/ LEAF EXTRACT, CUCUMIS SATIVUS (CUCUMBER) FRUIT EXTRACT, TIN OXIDE, CINNAMYL ALCOHOL, EUGENOL. It is not particularly helpful, IMO, that all the lip colours are currently lumped together under one stock code, as some shades are more vibrant & slightly longer lasting than others, in my experience.Rimmel London, Lasting Finish Lipstick: Shades 084 & 500ooOooGenerally comfortable with the price, I have used RIMMEL lipsticks for years, usually favouring the same colours & despairing if one gets discontinued!I like the chunky shape of this range, knowing them to be durable and that the stick is unlikely to break or splinter in use like some slimmer ones I have had in the past, from other brands.I also like the smooth, creamy consistency that doesn’t dry the lips out & I don’t mind the ‘flavour’.I find that the colour easily transfers to e.g.cups & glasses, so I have to touch up during the day, but that is usual with most brands of lippy & me!ooOooCOLOUR:084 ~ ‘AMETHYST SHIMMER’ (AMAZON VERIFIED PURCHASE)An old favourite this, a shimmery lilac-pink that picks up the colour from my yesteryear candy-striped blouse in spring/summer & my pink polo neck in the colder months.COLOUR:500 ~ ’RED-Y?’ (VINE supplied product)This is new shade for me ~ a touch more ambitious and, if I am honest, a bit of a gamble online. I would usually check a colour out on the High Street first!Longer lasting than some on, it looks more of a BROWN tone in the container but is, on me, a pleasant BERRY-RED shade that is hard to describe but close to that on the label of the lipstick container base (images below refer).ooOoo✤ RIMMEL✤ LASTING FINISH✤ LIPSTICK✤ 4 g‘Made in England’ooOooThe lipstick container is around 7.5 cm tall with the lid on.The lid has a slight angle on one side, embossed with the RIMMEL logo. The diameter of the quality pull-open case is around 1.5 cm and it pushes shut with a satisfactory click. The colour number & name is loud & clear on the base label.‘RIMMEL LONDON’ is embossed on the SILVER-coloured band around the middle. The shaped lipstick is just short of 2.5 cm in length fully extended, so should last a fair while.[13 images attached]

Rimmel has improved hugely in the last few years from their foundation formulations to their colour palette being ever so more aware of trends and use of more expensive and better ingredients with resulting improvements in texture, finish and look.Autumn-Winter 16-17 is the season of RED thanks to the debut collection of Lucia Pica Chanel's new global designer for cosmetics and colour. The Coty group, of which Rimmel is part, has stepped up to the challenge with both bourjois and Rimmel releasing excellent high street alternatives to the Red collection. This is grouped with the Kate Moss 15 years of collaboration anniversary collection but screams of the the hot colour for the cold season this year, and indeed beyond as this is a truly stunning shade.Retro Red is stunning, a true dark blue-cherry red, dark enough to make an impact at night or in the colder seasons, but just 'right' that it's not too gothy or over the top for daytime wear if you have the guts to wear it.The formulation is buttery and has a nice slip, it applies beautifully straight from the bullet with the ability to get a sharp edge with careful application, though lip brush devotees will similarly be pleased that it has enough slip to grab colour but a thick enough texture to not get 'lost' by the bristles of the brush. It has a gorgeous cherry scent that makes the application pleasant experience too.Longevity, it's classic lipstick, it can't cope with hot drinks very well and if you are doing anything more than sipping through a straw expect to reapply. However, it lasts pretty well regardless and is remarkably well pigmented for the price point.Overall, I would buy this again, probably hoard a couple in advance just in case it gets discontinued as its a beautiful true yet modern take on the classic red lip, a little edgier and gothier than the pillar box red, in my mind perfect, as long as you avoid kissing babies or anyone else you don't want your mark on whilst wearing it.

This is a lipstick that supposedly holds its colour for up to 7 hours, whilst being non-drying. It is quite dinky and not as large as some I have used (although it is an average 4g of colour). Application is simple – just one coat is easily smoothed over my lips. The lipstick smells really sweet, as it is my first time with the brand I am not sure if they all smell the same, but it reminded my a bit of the fruity smelling erasers that were really popular when I was at school! The overall effect is rather luminous with a flattering shimmer (the promotion blurb claim it is infused with black diamonds or some such nonsense). The lippy feels light and is not heavy or thick on my lips.I was really impressed with the longevity.I applied it before leaving for work at 8am, and by noon, several glasses of water, an apple and some nuts later, it was still in place – not as luminous as it was initially but the colour was still there. By 3.30pm and further food and drink and there was still a hint of pink on my lips. Admittedly it didn't last the full day. Seven hours might be stretching it, but I was happy with the longevity for me – I think we all take such marketing claims with a pinch of salt these days. I can also report that a minimal amount of colour or grease was transferred to a glass or cup when I drank from it. I also found the lipstick non-drying. Whilst I touched up with lip balm, it was more habit rather then uncomfortably dry lips, and it didn't smudge or remove my colour. The colour is called Mauve/Rose as looked a mid-pink on the tube, however on my lips it came out a lighter, pale shade of pink with a tint of mauve. I would have preferred something slightly darker personally, it comes out lighter on the lips than it looks in the tube. I am not sure if it is just this shade or any others that have this effect, but something worth bearing in mind.Recommended as it is also reasonably priced.

I have tried three shades from this new Rimmel London collection - Pink Rose, Mauve/Rose and the Natural Beige, my favourite being the Natural Beige.Don't be fooled by the price-tag, even though this lipstick is inexpensive, it neither looks, nor feels like a budget offering. The black case looks smart and the lipsticks all have a sweet and slightly spiced fragrance about them which is really lovely. The colours on the amazon pictures aren't necessarily that representative - the Pink Rose is quite a candyfloss pink - more light and bright than the picture suggests and on some skin tones it could look a bit garish - for me it's bright and fresh and works really well with an English rose complexion with the right outfit - but if pale/shimmery pinks don't work for you, then this is best avoided. The Pink/Mauve colour is like a turbo-charged colour - big bold and almost a neon pink, but definitely on the bluer end of the colour spectrum than the picture suggests - this is full on eighties and slightly reminds me of the pink from ski-ing sunblocks! This doesn't really work on my skin tone alone, but with the right outfit, in a hot pink - this does work, but I think it will be reserved for retro-eighties nights rather than day to day wear. Finally, my favourite - the neutral beige. This is my favourite for day to day wear. The colour is still a pink, but a warm, soft, natural pink - I wouldn't call it a beige though. It gives a natural look a lift, even without any other make-up on. With a little lip-liner, it is lifted to a more elegant look, which makes this a really versatile colour for me and it going to become my new mainstay in my handbag. All of these lipsticks apply smoothly and last reasonably well. In terms of the colours, it is well worth popping into a high street store to find out which is the colour for you before you buy online.

I've always liked Rimmel lipsticks - I've tried many brands, including the super expensive one that everyone raves about! Despite the expensive brand's sleek black packaging and beautiful colour, it just doesn't last on me. It may come as a surprise that Rimmel is one of the only cheaper brands that does the job when it comes to lastability (is that a word - if not, why not?) - it glides on smooth, provides a beautiful slick of colour (more on that in a moment) and it stays on! I drank several glasses of water and ate a sandwich before I needed to top up the colour. The colour is just lovely - a few people mentioned that it's a bit too bright for them, but when you have pale skin like I do,any pop of colour is a bonus. And I wouldn't go there and say it's a bubblegum, in-your-face pink. It's more of a baby bubblegum pink, with a pearlescent finish. It's juicy, like a watermelon. And it really suits my skin. I am loving this lipstick. End of.I also tried the Natural Beige shade too - and again, I really loved the colour. I'd say it suits nearly most skin tones. It's not a beige, but more of a natural light pink. I used to have a lipstick like this back in the day (when I was about twelve) and it reminded me of coffee and looking sophisticated. I'd definitely wear this shade on a day where I need to look polished, rather than have a colour pop moment. I also love this shade, it's really grown up.

When I was young, Rimmel was the cheapest, greasiest and most garish of make up options. The sort of thing only very young girls with no idea or technique and very little money would buy. What a huge difference forty years makes. I went nowhere near Rimmel during my adult years. But, I have tested quite a number of their recent products and been very pleasantly surprised, they are of excellent quality and great colours and tones. Came as quite a surprise to me, but I now have no hesitation in examining their displays and wares in the shops these days, and no fear of anything but a very professional and acceptable result. This is a great shade of red. Deep crimson, and ideal for formal evening occasions.A nice case to carry with you in rose gold. Easily applied without excessive smudging, which when applying a tissue to mop up excess can be a problem, as you are looking ideally for a nice sharp line not a bleed outside the lip area. It lasts as long as far more expensive lipsticks, although of course it will need to be reapplied after eating and drinking large amounts. Refreshing your lipstick while out and about for lengthy periods is part of any woman make up regime, and this did not need to be reapplied frequently. So, this is a good price, and a very acceptable quality lipstick in a great colour and very classy case.

I ordered number 08 expecting it to be a darker reddish Heather like colour, as shown in the picture. It certainly is not a dusky rose colour either, as described in the answer to one of the above questions. It is more of an earthy brown colour. Actually it turns out that the colour looks lovely when it is worn, but still, it would be nice if the description/picture was more like what it actually looks like in real life. It lasts as long as most lipsticks do. I had to reapply during the day, but show me a lipstick that you don't have to reapply during a full day! So I was perfectly happy with that. Packaging wise, the lipstick was just loose in the amazon delivery box along with some other items I had ordered.Other than the actual lipstick casing, there was no extra packaging, not even a bit of sellophane or a little plastic bag to protect it a bit, which was a little bit surprising. Luckily the casing lid had stayed on during transit, but with no plastic around it to seal it, it could easily have come off, and the lipstick could have easily been ruined. From a hygiene point of view, especially during the current pandemic, it would have also been preferable if it was sealed with plastic wrapping. It did arrive quickly which was good.

I am now fifty five and I have been a fan of Rimmel products since being a teenager and I especially love the Rimmel lipsticks. When I was given the chance to review this Rimmel lipstick I jumped at the chance not having tried this lip colour before.Rimmel's Lasting Finish Intense Wear Lipsticks are supplied in a Rimmel classic lipstick barrel (black on the outer and silver on the inner barrel). This range of lipsticks come in various fashionable shades and the one I received is called 'Pink Blush'.The first thing I noticed when applying this lipstick was that it went on extremely smoothly and afterwards my lips felt wonderfully moisturised. The colour is a lovely soft pink, something akin to a candy Pink mixed with a little creamy peach. The colour 'Pink Blush' does not look too dark nor too bright, in fact it is a really good colour to wear during the day. This colour really suited my colouring (fair skinned, dark brown hair and blue eyes), it would also look good on fair skinned blondes. I applied this colour before I went out at 10am, I was out for a good three hours and during that time this lipstick did not need reapplying which means Rimmel's long lasting formula must be working.Perfect.

Rimmel of London is another makeup I have used for many years, I've always found they offer good quality cosmetics at budget prices. This particular lipstick Kate mauve/rose is quite a bright pink when applied and feel it is probably aimed at the very young fashion lovers, it so very 1960s style, so ideal for people who do vintage. It as such a lovely creamy texture and will keep your lips full of moisture and It does have a lovely taste to it as well.So ideal for those hot summer days and will go perfect with your beautiful tan and if you're unlucky and don't tan very well (don't worry, it will still bring out the sun goddess in you ), it does have a little gloss giving it that extra summer sheen and seems to hold its colour when eating/drinking,providing you apply correctly with a lip brush first and then the lipstick. So taking all this into consideration and of course the price I would recommend you try this lipstick.Rimmel as been around a long time and millions like myself trust Rimmel of London.Don't forget if this colour is to much on the bright/pink side for your personal taste don't cast it to one side, you can always tone it down by adding a red or beige/brown shade to it.?????

I've got the London look with this - Shade 034 - Rimmel London Kate Lipstick Summer in Pink Rose, a new Kate Moss lipstick.Great points to mention:^^ On me this looks a bright pink with an almost peachy tinge to it. Very summery. Looks good against my suntanned skin.^^ It lasts for a long while. Up to 7 hours apparently.^^ Glides on smoothly when applied.^^ Smells lovely, too.^^ Has a smooth creamy texture made with non-drying ingredients. It is important to me that lipstick does not dry out my lips. It feels very moisturising. Tastes good, too! Well, it's so close to my mouth I can hardly resist a taste.Things to think about:^^ It's not transfer resistant, but hey,are any lipsticks truly transfer resistant?^^ I cannot find anything that can be improved with this lipstick. I just love it the way that it is, however, I was surprised (and pleasantly so) at the difference in colour once the lipstick was on my lips. It's a vibrant, young colour and definitely not one you'd wear over the winter months or those with very pale skins, which is why this is the perfect lipstick for some summer loving.

Colour is gorgeous and suit for daily wear, its mixture of nude and slight peach tone, lighter than the picture when you actually put on, if you want a M*C or similar nude colour of lipstick but at much lower price you can get this gorgeous lipstick instead. so i sometimes use this as base rather than by itself since the colour of lipstick itself can be too light for me and doesn't suit me going light colour of lipstick only. anyways use this as base then apply another layer of stronger colour on the top of t hat like 2 tone 3D effect lips which i love and prefer at the moment but only the problem is this is matt lipstick and not very moisturising, it'll dry your lips pretty soon,so either lip balm or lipgloss is a must i'd say. however M*C lipsticks are the same, matt ones are not that moisturising so i don't see a huge difference except the difference of cost! and i still love Rimmel lipsticks i think they do the good job at producing fantastic lipsticks at great affordable price for every lady! i'll definitely continue to purchase more of rimmel lipsticks , No hesitation ;)
