Overall I'm very pleased with the alarm, the display does go dim at night but even without my glasses I can see the display from over two foot away, it is a bit silly having to turn on the alarm to set it, impossible to do without wakening my wife, The angled display and the need to look down on it to read the time is OK for me but not everyone looks down on their clock, it is something that is not well thought out. I do like the choice of two alarm settings. The instruction sheet supplied is vague at best and could be a lot better, the buttons on the top are well laid out, and the sound is crystal clear, It has light sensor which looks like a bit of shiny grit trapped in a hole on top,

Love this radio. Use it every day.Does exactly what it says on the tin and is a nice modern design.You can set two alarms that can be set to go off daily, weekdays or weekends to either the radio or a progressively louder alarm sound.One problem for me however is that when the alarm triggers (on either radio or alarm buzz sound) it doesn't turn itself off again.This is mildly annoying as I will often spend evenings away so I can come back to find the alarm clock still sounding 10 hours after it was set. Just have to remember to turn it off but still a plaster.Also it isn't just annoying for me but also my neighbours.

Purchased this to replace my thompson twin alarm clock which stopped working.The good thing about this radio is that you can switch between dab/fm and you can also save favourite stations. The display is not too bright at night either so no glaring light into the room. It also has twin alarms which are very useful.The downside is when the buzzer alarm goes off, you can't switch it straight to radio. Instead you have to turn the alarm off then switch the radio on.If you are already listening to the radio and the buzzer alarm goes off, when you turn it off, it doesn't go back to radio, but switches off the whole device, so you have to switch it back on again,

Very easy to set up and tune to digital and FM stations. Display automatically adjusts brightness according to ambient light or dark. No display in the event of power cut but does retain clock, alarm and radio settings once power has been restored. Good quality sound for the price and size. Very compact, approx dimensions 14.5 x 14.5 x 5.0cm (6” x 6” x 2”). Two alarm settings useful for people getting up at different times; adjustable to daily, weekdays only, weekends only or just once. Easy to hit OFF button and large snooze button (9 minutes repeat).Would just suggest, if this is your first DAB radio, checking your post code on line (search for DAB signal coverage)

An excellent value DAB clock radio with clear reception, quite a few stations that I didn't even know existed, auto tuning of both radio and clock (great for resetting everything after a power cut), and a display which dims automatically when you turn the lights off. You cannot read the time from below the unit, so not perfect if your bedside table is much higher than your bed. Adjustable snooze. And when you are listening to the radio, you can set the display to show either the station name, the song info, or just the time. We are very pleased with this item. Brilliant.

Bought to replace very old analogue clock radio that was buzzing on stations.This new one is a cute dinky size with no buzz even when a mobile phone is right next to it, as its digital radio.Little tinny on sound and numbers dim down at night a tad too much but those are minor niggles.I like the quality of the item and 2 alarm function so weekdays and weekends have a different alarm. Suprised no battery backup but then it does remember clock settings when power comes back so perhaps thats no longer needed

If you sleep the sleep of the dead then this is the alarm clock for you. It's perfect in all respects, but the alarm sound... OMG! In both tone and volume, it sounds like the reversing hooter on a heavy goods vehicle.There is absolutely no doubt that this will wake you up. Unfortunately there's no way to turn down or change the tone to a more traditional 'beep beep' noise, so after 2 nights I had to return this to Argos. A shame because in all other respect I'd have loved to keep this clock.

This is a great little clock with some very well thought through features like automatic time setting from the rds signal and also it automatically dims or brightens the display depending on the light levels. It doesn't have a backup battery but still saves all your stations and alarms. It is very light so does have the tendency to move around when you try to get the snooze button. The radio sound is not great and neither is the length of the power and Ariel leads limiting choice of locations.

This was very easy to set up, it found lots of stations and I was easily able to programme my favourites. This, originally, was with the wire antenna still tied up in its little bundle. However, I found the signal does wander sometimes, so have now unwound it and it hangs off my bed post. I set the alarms easily and was pleased with the dual facility and the fact that I can set for weekdays, weekends, daily etc. It was also straightforward to change the length of the snooze time. So all good!

I was pleasantly impressed by the feel and look of this clock radio having had some doubts before purchase. Especially good was the ease of set up; the instructions were understandable and did not suffer from pigeon English. It's just a case of plug it in and switch it on as the channel search is automatic and as soon as you select one of the channels to listen to for a short time the clock is automatically set. It is not an onerous task to confirm a setting with select as has been suggested.

Neat little alarm clock for my wife who hates bright displays that light up the room at night. This has a small green lit display that auto adjusts (dims) as the bedroom light is switched off. Is light enough to see time, but does not cast a light over the room. DAB radio is easy to tune and sounds as you'd expect from Pure. Very straightforward to set-up and clear instruction book. Tuner picks up main DAB channels. Buttons on top of unit clearly marked .Not used alarm yet, hence 4/5 score.

I agree with other reviews that the Pure Siesta Mi Series 2 is a little cheap / flimsy feeling but it's small, has an adequate sound quality from it's single speaker, it could never be described as hifi quality!The backlight is perfectly adequate, and takes a couple of seconds to dim to it's lowest setting with a slightly illuminated background (which I find helps find the numbers in the dark) and is in no way an annoyance when trying to sleep! Overall a great, VERY inexpensive product!

After reading reviews i was a little optimistic about setting up and the automatic dimming. However I went ahead and purchased, dimming is ok I can read throughout night (without my glasses) it is not too bright as to distract. Setting up was easy and as I want alarm time same every day I set alarm 2 to come on 59 minutes after alarm 1 so get 2 hours continous radio. Dab and auto clock set tuned in immediately plugged in.Would highly recommend and you get two years manufacturer guarantee

The radio wakes me every morning at the same time. That's all I want it for and it does what it's supposed to do.I like the fact it has "weekday" settings, so on a weekend it leaves me alone.On a Sat/Sun I like to take a coffee back to bed and listen to some music for half an hour or so.Unfortunately the "digital" radio isn't to my liking. The sound seems "muffled" like there is cotton wool in the speakers. However, the FM setting provided a much brighter and crisper sound.

Nice compact design, easy to set up and use with fairly intuitive controls with nice obvious buttons. The sound quality is pretty good as a bedside radio but remember this is a compact single speaker clock so don't expect it to double up as a hi-fi, you'll need to pay a lot more for a bigger model if you want it to do that also. The auto-dim function is very good, not too bright at night time but easily readable during the day. The DAB radio works a treat, so much better than FM.
