Was looking for a basic radio with medium wave that would tune in to BBC Radio Wales. Since all gone digital could not tune into this channel at all with our all singing all dancing very expensive DAB radio. My Mum loves to listen to BBC Radio Wales and has really missed not being able to tune in on a normal radio. Yes you can get it re. Wi Fi but did not want the expense of another posh radio and my Mum who is not a techno wizard (and nor am I) just wanted to turn a radio on that would work in our poor reception area of North Wales. Ironically we could get many other channels in radio everywhere around the world on the DAB "super radio" but not BBC Radio Wales as no Medium Wave.

Purchased as a present for an elderly relative, the previous reviews held true to their word and it is the perfect choice. The retro style meant the recipient instantly recognised the style of radio and would find its operation uncomplicated and easy to use.The quality of the radio is good in both how it looks and feels, as well as the sound. Great having a tone dial to adjust to suit, but nothing major to alter as the radio reception was great and easy to tune in.I'm very pleased with this purchase and having looked at other DAB radios or modern radio / CD players, I am pleased with the value for money in an uncomplicated radio that works well, is simple to use and has a stylish retro design.

Arrived on time packaged well. This was bought for my mother for Christmas and she was very pleased with the product. The radio is easy to tune and the quality of the sound is excellent. I considered buying a DAB radio but after reading reviews I decided on this radio and so pleased I opted for a straight forward tuning radio. My mum loved the vintage style and she said it was just like one she used to own. The weight of the product makes it feel more expensive than it is. Excellent value for money and would definitely recommend.

Great looking radio and is'nt to hard to get a great signal for any radio channel. the volume isnt the greatest but still good enough that it still produces good bass for the lowest and loudest of RnB music out there. The volume is loud enough for in one room in your house, it start to get crackily after 3/4 volume but if your are using it for one room in your house it is great conversation piece for your home. But if you are buying this product, I dont think you are buying it for surround, cinema sound just solely for the looks.

Bought the black and cream radio for my new flat. I have to listen to the music while washing up so purchased this little bad boy. Fits perfect on my window sill and blends brilliantly with the decor. It's quite dinky and so cute! I purchased this to pick up all the pirate radio stations which play some old house music and the reception is brilliant! I'm very impressed with my new radio and its been on for most of today when it arrived, ordered Wednesday and came Saturday morning,and was well packaged, very happy bunny ???xx

Had researched analogue radios for some time, this radio certainly ticked all but one of the boxes. It looks great, is a decent size and has excellent tone and sound quality even when turned up. It also comes with a UK mains lead. It was easy to find all the stations I wanted apart from our local radio station which wasn't surprising as the signal barely reaches our village.The only thing I would have liked to have seen was a version incorporating a CD player - but overall this is a great radio. Love the retro look too.

I bought this because my Dad had one on the allotment when I was a child and it bought back lovely memories. It arrived promptly, well packaged and is still going great. The middle aged part of me adores tuning it by turning the dial, it's not your typical DAB radio, some stations are hard to receive and it sometimes does pick up the local taxi/police channel during dinner which always causes laughter but I would buy it again without doubt.It adds a retro appeal to my dining room which I love.

Bought as gift for elderly relative who is extremely hard of hearing and also suffers from severe arthritis in fingers. When her old radio gave up the ghost she tried two replacement portables, neither of which produced enough volume. She likes to listen in her kitchen at breakfast time - and before putting in her hearing aids! This radio has solved the sound problem and the combination of press buttons and ridged dial means she can also manage to change stations.

I really like this radio, it's a teeny bit larger than I was expecting but not a problem. Would have given it full stars but a couple of the cosmetic bits aren't quite right. No one would notice at first glance but the stuck on 'Steepletone' badge is rising up at one end and the metal bit that runs across the top is not sitting in the right place. These things are not enough for me to send it back though and it is still an attractive product with a good sound.

I bought this to replace a very well known and much more expensive digital retro radio which I was not happy with . The Steepletone is far superior in sound quality, ability to pick up stations and to stay on them once selected. Tone is excellent and it is so easy to use. I absolutely love the colour, the shape and the size of this radio - it has brightened up my kitchen. 100% satisfied with my purchase and cannot recommend it enough.

What a bargain!A lovely retro style and so much nicer than the Bush similar style I was to purchase from Argos[ who would not home deliver that item.] So glad I didn't buy Bush as this is really great and came next day!Good looks for period interior and more importantly excellent tone,finish,ease of use,sound quality,reception in a difficult location,...everything in fact!Even colour choice. I am well pleased,Thanks!Recommend highly.

A nice piece of retro kit. I ordered for my 81 year old husband. Wanted something uncomplicated, switch on, tune in to local radio station, no multi buttons for functions that would never use. Ideal for reaching out early morning and turning on. The reception is clear and plugs into mains no need to be replacing batteries. How nice to have a piece of functional, easy equipment that does not require a degree in electronics!

I bought this for my elderly mother for her 90th birthday which is in mid-April so I have not given it to her yet nor have I had to chance to try it myself. On sight it looks very good and as my mother is blind, I am hoping this will be ideal for her as there are not a lot of buttons on it and she should find the big wheel on the front more suitable to move stations. Fingers crossed!Delivery of item was good and quick.

I am so pleased with this radio, it looks very posh and dear but it wasnt dear. It is a bargain and so good to look at as well as listen too.It stands out in my room and I am proud of it, others have said how nice it is and had a good look at it.I have wanted one like this for years but found them to expensive well this one isnt, so at last I have one, and being alone my radio is my world and company. so thank you.

Really pleased! This radio was a present for an elderly relative who is registered blind. I bought it due to the large, easy to turn tuning dial at the front (she couldn't cope with the buttons on a digital model). It's been a bit with my relative! She can easily tune it between her two favourite stations, it's retro shape is very pleasing & the sound quality, whilst not Digital Standard, is perfectly acceptable.
