A clever high quality DAB/ FM/AUX radio with 2x alarms (radio and/or buzzer) and a kitchen timer. Battery or mains operated. Input for mp3 player, CD player etc. Output for headphones.A colour display that can be switched off on a timer, so as to darken a room whilst sleeping.When the alarm goes off the volume of buzzer or radio gradually increases to your preset level. There is no snooze facility.DAB reception is crystal clear. No sound distortion at full volume.The menu system is easily accessible and intuitive.I have five Pure radio products and they all work well.The Pure Elan E3 is an excellent radio.

I needed a replacement DAB radio as old one was failing to pick up newer channels. This little unit is great, it’s not massive, but for a kitchen radio it’s superb. Set is simple, the sound is good too and has adjustable sounds settings too. Nice display, which is a clearly visible clock when the radio is off. The only small issue would be that it always requires a power supply and is not a portable self charging unit should you require to move it about. That is my only very small criticism, but forget that I’m really happy with it.

Having 3 other Pure devices in the house I am used to good quality sound from these sets, however, due the size and method of construction it seems not possible on this model.To listen to news and speech channels, even when tweaked through the more than adequate settings control, it still sounds fuzzy unless you wind up the volume.That said, the radio otherwise has great specifications including sleep and alarm settings not normally found on sets at this price.Definitely a good buy if not for bedside use!

Purchased to replace Roberts DAB Alarm which had annoyed me for many years because of poor build quality. I could bear it no longer when it failed to retain chosen station day to day, & buttons almost unusable - end up waking up to same inane station each day. After research, chose this. Needed to be DAB+ as I missed JazzFM (hence tolerating the Roberts - DAB is a bit of a con - it dont give you much more than FM). Changing the equaliser settings makes very little diff but overall happy with it

Neat design and styling. Not too large, so good for bedside table. Very easy to set up. DAB reception fine, no need to extend the aerial. Alarm setting a little fiddly for first time, then no problem as long as you remember to set the date you want the alarm!Sound quality very good for a small unit. Can be powered from mains or batteries, so portable if required. Good display, but rather bright even on lowest setting. If this disturbs, I cover clock display at night, or turn it off.

We bought this DAB RADIO as our older Pure DAB set had started to deliver poorer quality sound. Unfortunately being a DAB signal it transpires that the signal in our area is the cause (even though the broadcaster website says there is no problem with transmission quality). So, the new set is ok but unless the signal improves we can't get the benefit. If it had an input terminal to accept a powered booster aerial that would have been helpful and made it a more cost-effective purchase.

I wanted a Pure radio and went for the Elan as it was cheaper than some of the other Pure products and looked stylish. The White/grey goes perfectly with the colour scheme in my kitchen, the display is great and the radio was a piece of cake to set up. May not be amazing sound quality, but the reception is great and it's perfect for my needs. I also like that I can pop a couple of batteries in it and take it outside if I'm in the garden or washing the car! Very pleased indeed!

Bought as a loudspeaker for a record player, and does a very good job; also as a "future-proof" DAB+ radio. Aerial not needed for DAB/FM reception here, sound excellent, screen ditto.Set up is easy.One point: when switching on, allow a few seconds on the DAB radio setting to allow the clock display to be set. Then switch to auxiliary, if required. Power-up directly on auxiliary can leave the screen flashing, waiting for the clock (sound & settings remain unaffected).

I really can’t fault this radio. Very easy to set up. Great reception even without the aerial extended. The sound is crystal clear and can be adjusted to suit via the menu equalizer. The brightness can slso be adjusted to suit. It also looks good. I would most certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a well made and reliable radio at an affordable price - even better if you spread the cost (as I did) and take advantage of the interest free option.

This is a lovely little portable radio with good sound quality on speech and music. Easy to select the source eg FM/DAB etc and easy to set up channel selection with a wide range of channels to choose from. White suits my decor and blends in even when moved from room to room. Works best when plugged in directly to mains as on battery, digital radio doesn't last very long.All in all this is a good quality radio which I would definitely recommend.

Straight out of the box and plugged in the radio did a scan for channels and that was it job done.It is easy to use has good sound ( for a smallish radio), storing stations is easy. One thing I don't remember seeing in the description is press the on/off button once puts the radio in stand bye, press and hold the power button again and the radio displays "power off" which I take to mean it is using no power. All in all a good little radio.

Staggered at just how good this little unit is. So much adjustability, easy to use/set up and stylish too. Sound is great from a single speaker. I'd not put the bass/treble all the way up though, as it does strain the sound a little.ONLY being picky, but I'd have preferred more preset buttons rather than having to press 'preset 4' and scrolling through the presets further along. Really am being pernickaty though. Go ahead and buy it!

I am a fussy radio listener - it needed to meet so many criteria for me including dimming and off display, some pre set stations. I would love it to have a button for the sleep timer rather than having to use the menu for this function, but my priorities are met. It was so easy to purchase using collection from my nearest Sainsburys which meant I could return it if it didn't match my needs. Im delighted that it did!

I needed a small portable radio for the bathroom which would run on batteries and this fits the bill perfectly. It is very light and after a small tweak of the EQ produces a satisfying punchy sound for such a small radio. I would advise buying a battery charger and rechargeable batteries (4 x AA) as it only lasts a few hours on disposable alkaline batteries. Overall I am very happy with this purchase.

Pros: Love the radio sound and look. DAB radio is easy to use and preset 1 to 3 easy to use, overall very pleased with the radio.Cons: FM radio only shows hertz rather than stations, hertz mean very little. Presets 4 to 20 are quite hard to set.As I will only use DAB and will only use presets 1 to 3 because they are hard to set this is ok other DAB stations are easy to findRegardsJack
