Bought for 6yr old birthday. Had read countless reviews for several players. This one came out top, even though there are negative reviews here as well. I took it that a lot of reviews are personal opinion, or possibly a faulty machine - which you could get anywhere.It's a smaller player than I thought, which is great as it isn't bulky at all. The sound quality is actually really good! I am seriously impressed. It has a base boost button which actually works well! Overall the sound and volume control is faultless.It does not feel poor quality at all, lightweight without feeling flimsy. We haven't had any problem with cds catching or scratching when putting in, or taking out, of the machine.

We bought this as an expendable bargain value CD player, as our young son has learned to operate the controls on the "proper" home hifi system.However, much to our pleasant surprise, the sound quality is excellent, the design is sleek and modern, and the unit is very portable. We have now had it for 3 months, and have had absolutely no faults with it.Looking at the previous reviewer who gave this unit 1/5 stars, we have had completely the opposite experience.It is possible that the build quality may vary widely, or that the last reviewer just had bad luck, but our CD player has been so good that we felt we had to stand up for the faithful little thing!We would definitely recommend it to

I stumbled across this player when I was at a point of despair about ever finding a quality CD Player with a headphone socket.I am really pleased with this player as it has all of the functions that I require and has excellent sound quality. My order was processed quickly and arrived In excellent condition.One small point - make sure that you plug your earphones in correctly, The first time I tried it, although wearing my headphones,the whole house were also able to enjoy the meditation tape as I had not pushed the plug in far enough!!!!Highly recommended.

I bought this 11 months ago to go in my kitchen - I bought it to listen to the many CD audio books that I have. It is excellent - not too big - it fits on one of my window ledges - the sound is good - I have listened to classical music CDs as well and they sound very reasonable considering this is not a fancy Hi-Fi system as in my main room.I do not use the radio as I already have a DAB radio in the kitchen - so I cannot comment on this - I bought it for CD use.I am so pleased with it that I am now going to buy another to have in my sewing room.

Bought as a present for my 70-something technophobic mum. I thought it looked very simple to use, but I still wasn't sure if she would be able to deal with the few controls that there were... A couple of days after she received it she called me up very excited to inform me she'd successfully changed it from the radio to the CD - which is a big deal for someone who never has the patience for any kind of technology, so it has passed the test and she loves it! Quick delivery, cute wee player, sits well on a small bedside table. :)

Very happy with the product, as I gave up on downloading my zillions of CDs and thought it was easier just to play them on a machine! So happy that I can listen to music in any room in the house without trying to attach my iPod to the machine and looking for the right song. Nice looking machine too - sleek and modern. Even though the concept is 'retro', it definitely looks more 21st century than other CD players I viewed and a great price too. Tracked delivery all on time and packaging very good. Highly recommend this.

I bought this as a birthday present for a friend. I bought a similar product from another brand first, but it didn't work out of the box and I thought the build quality was poor so I sent it back for a refund and went for this Lenco one. Build quality is good, sound quality is good, it's easy to use and can be run from either mains or battery. My friend is very pleased with it. I'd never heard of the Lenco brand before, but I'm glad I gave it a try...

This is a great little cd player for use in kitchen, lounge or wherever. I used to buy my small cd players at Argos, but their range is very limited these days and most of the products they offer sound very tinny and even cost a lot more than this one. This cd player however has a wonderful deep rich sound, extremely easy to set up and use. I recommend. The array of colours it comes in is also a bonus. Excellent price and a great product.

My wife was after a no-nonsense and easy to use CD player for learning Italian. This player appealed as it seemed to offer the basic specification needed and came from a quality manufacturer. It was delivered the next day and has proved to just what she was after. It’s well made, easy to operate without too many bells and whistles. Also sound quality is good for playing music CDs when needed. I would recommend!

Received this morning. Good sound, looks good too. I had asked the question of other users before I bought it as to whether there was a "repeat" function. Got 2 answers, 1 said there was, 1 said there wasn't?????? To put the record straight, there is. Repeats either one track or the whole CD. Not a useful reply from the person who obviously didn't even LOOK at the player before giving an inaccurate answer!

I bought this to be able to play a royalty free cd through our telephone system for our 'on hold' music.It has played on repeat for 24 hours a day for weeks now without a fault, the clarity is good and volume is fine. I'd recommend it.** Update November 2013. The machine has played on constant repeat now for 19 months, 24 hours per day every day and is still going strong. This has been a great buy. **

I am only giving this product 4 stars as it was sent through the post in it's own box, no added packaging, with a label stuck to it, the box was not sealed either. There were no instructions for this product(probably fell out of the unpackaged and unsealed box) so I do not know how to programme the CD function! It is ideal for a small room, sound quality is not too bad and radio quality is okay

Having read the reviews on this site.it was about 50-50. I was on a limited budget,this seemed to meet my needs.the company who despatched the player,informed when it was sent with a 3-4 day delivery.well I received it two days later.The product is excellent,there wasn't any problem with the lead,the sound is great,not tinny, and extremely good value for money

Bought this item as a present for my father-in-law who has dementia. We needed something that was easy to operate as he would not remember all the buttons, but this product has a bright orange button which stands out to press play. It also has a push to open lid for cd's so is easy to operate and a surprisingly good sound which is very good value for money.

I bought this for my daughter's birthday as she was starting to establish her own CD collection. She absolutely loves it and for the price was an absolute bargain. Pink is her favourite colour and because it is quite compact, it doesn't take up too much of the limited space she has in her bedroom. Good sound quality too. Excellent purchase.
