I needed a larger backpack for everyday and as a holiday pack, within the limits for cabin luggage. Was using my girlfriends Osprey, half the size but still very usable. Already had an Osprey pack for climbing/hiking. I cannot fault the quality of the one I had and - judging by my girlfriend's two Osprey's that she's had for years - expect nothing less of this one.The packs stand up to a lot of (rough) use, but show little real wear and tear, at least nothing that prevents their practical use - the odd bare patch of mini-hole, as you'd get after many years of use. Also, wearing them feels, well, like they're not there. I mean that comparing the Osprey to a number of packs I've had over the last 20-odd years (brands: Mammut,

After day-hiking with a commuting pack, I decided I needed a proper outdoor version. This was ideal. It has side pockets for water bottles, a built-in rain cover, and holds plenty for a day’s hiking or maybe more. Various useful compartments, including for a water bladder, zipped pouches on the belt, and a range of cinch straps. Best of all is the completely adjustable fit and suspension system which is very comfortable. Bear in mind it does have a light built-in frame (which I was aware of, and is what allows you to keep cool), so it won’t completely squish. Even so, it works as carry-on and can fit under an airline seat while reasonably full (I’m referring to the 24L version)

It is expensive but you can immediately feel it is well made from quality materials. Plenty of storage space, ranging from small phone pockets to main compartments - all with zips. The best feature (and reason I purchased) is the mesh panel which means the bag doesn't touch your back, so no excess sweating. It is comfortable to wear and easily adjusted to your height and build. I had no problem carrying waterproofs, spare layers, lunch, thermos flask, first aid kit and maps. Definitely recommend to anyone serious about hiking.

Needed some extra room and this is a step up from my Daylite pack. Very pleased with this pack with one exception, the sturum strap is too high and often slips up to my neck. I may just have to adjust the shoulder straps a little better but this is annoying and I didn't have this issue with my old pack. Aside from this small problem I can recommend this pack. We have never been disappointed with any Osprey product.

I used this pack when I hiked the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu and I loved it! The venting on the back is ideal and being able to shift the weight from my shoulders to my hips made this comfortable for multiple days of hiking. I also loved I could slide my phone into one of the hip pockets for easy picture taking access.

Awesome pack! Good pocket layout and very well made. I have a Manta 25 pack and the Stratos 24 actually feels a bit bigger. The only thing I’m disappointed about is that there are no small fleece lined pockets for sunglasses and electronics. Overall it’s a great pack perfect for a short to all day hike

Great daypack. The suspension system really keeps the weight on your hips and not your shoulders, for a much more comfortable hike. And the mesh back helps with some airflow so your back doesn’t get (or stay) nearly as sweaty like it does when you have a pack right against your back.

This is a fantastic pack. The ventilated tensioned mesh back panel keeps the air flowing and your back dry and comfortable. I sold a North Face Jester pack to get this Osprey pack. No regrets. It's great for hiking, motorcycle riding, or treking from one airport to another.

Osprey back packs are so well made. There are some good videos online to tell you how to pack them and adjust them. Solid construction and very well made. Perfect for a day hike. Very good price too. Saved a lot even compared to the big discount outdoor centres.

This is a great backpack for day-hiking. Have used it on very hot days in Utah/AZ as well as for paddling the Boundary Waters. It holds more than you think. The ventilation is great - very comfortable for hours and miles of full day use.

After well over 10 years of owning a Quechua air 30 I bought this rucksack.it looks like great quality and has all the futures I wanted.Hopefully it will last as long or longer as the Quechua

This back-pack feels great, carries everything I'd want for a simple day hike. Crazy adjustable and is an all-around great pack. The included rain cover is a nice touch.

By its size it is limited to the day. typical hiking and not mountaineering. Very good finish and solidity. good ventilation of the back. I am very satisfied

This is the third Ospray I've bought (different weights, for different events) and I can honestly say I wouldn't buy any other brand. Absolutely outstanding

Everything is thought of from comfortable perfectly shaped straps to ventilated stand off back. Have worn for mountain climbing very comfortable.
