I bought this 12L and 6L sack and just walked the Camino Santiago with them (40 some odd days of backpacking). Both have been incredibly durable (no marks or scratched or any signs of damage to the rip-stop fabric (something previous Exped drybags suffered from quite quickly while backpacking) despite regular exposure to other contents / possible sharp edges. They were super lightweight, much lighter than past bags I've had. I didn't completely test their dry-keeping qualities in fairness but do recall carrying wet laundry in them inside the main bag and nothing adjacent got wet. I used the 6L the most - filling it to ts full capacity made it fit really neatly flat into the base of my 32L Osprey pack the rectangle base shape makes it a good shape(when filled soildly)to filling available space better than an round/oval would as well as also being versatile enough to squish into different shapes when less filled. The 12L was less used but it was great to be able to squish it right down when I only needed to store one or two things in it and it fit large unsquished laundry in it well for carrying using the clip top as a handle, a big like a grocery bag. The plastic fastener was of good quality and is durable but on occasion was prone to misaligning (could break if forced/ you don't notice) and the 12L one had an annoying habit of folding one of the clips inward, getting trapped in the roll top as you rolled it down, meaning you've have to re-do it and hold it out of the way before the first roll. I have past bags that have a slightly wider roll tab width at the top which I think I prefer, it feels more secure on waterproofing and easier to roll down turn by turn but it's a minor point and it didn't affect function. The small hanging loop on the base is also a great touch, though I can't say I used / found a use for it other than lifting out from the bottom of my pack. Great product, will buy more, will consider buying an 8L or 10L if they do one.

I bought several of these dry sacks for a backpacking trip last year and liked them so much I'm purchasing more. They are great for not only keeping small items dry but also organising. The biggest trick is making sure you get as much air as possible out of them first. I find if I flatten them and squeeze as much air out as I can before folding the top closed they fit in my backpack much better. Once you've folded them a few times you won't be able to get any of the air trapped inside out, that's part of this whole waterproofing deal, so practice a bit and you'll get the hang of it. One of the nice things about these lighter bags is they're a bit more versatile than their heavier counterparts.I've used one of the smaller ones as a wristlet to carry my phone and camera plus a few odds and ends when it was raining just a bit and I didn't want to carry my whole pack but still didn't want to risk anything getting wet. I've also used a larger one as a mini washing machine for one or two pieces of clothes at a time, works great for socks and underwear, just put a bit of water and your travel laundry soap inside, seal it up with some air inside, and shake like crazy for a minute. Rinse out very well, add clean water, shake again, rinse again, dry. Clean laundry is yours! See, very useful! Wonder bags!

I recently had to go on an international trip and I had to fit clothes good for 3 weeks inside a Deuter ACT Lite 50 +10 and still have the backpack small enough to be considered as carry on luggage with United. This dry sack was able to compress all of my clothes down into a manageable size and allowed me to carry all of my clothes with room to spare in the pack!I stuffed my clothes into this thing, sat on it to press all of the air out and then do the minimum three folds. The folding style clasp was good enough that it is able to keep the air out which maintained the "compackness" of my clothes inside. The material is REALLY light unlike the other heavy duty dry bags which I have used.I would highly recommend this product if you want to organize your backpack or to save space by compressing down clothes or if you want to keep things dry. Also, I am not sure of the exact weight but I can also see this as being used as a backpack liner to keep your gear dry instead of using a trash compactor bag which will make your pack river crossing ready.

I have been using this daysack to carry a camera insert partition inside of my existing rucksack. The square bottom form of this bag means it's perfect to fit this camera insert, and means it's perfect for my usage. I tested the waterproof qualities of this bag during a three week motorcycle journey in Vietnam, where we often experienced heavy downfalls. It kept my crucial equipment dry, and alongside with some silica gel packets, it was perfect for dealing with electronics and the humidity. I also tested the waterproof-ness of the bag when a banana was crushed inside of it, and I had to wash it out under a running tap. No water came through the material, which I was really surprised with and filled me with confidence! The bag is strong, made from ripstop nylon (very similar to a strong tent flysheet). It's extremely light, does not add any extra weight to my daysack, and rolls up to take limited extra space. Overall, brilliant purchase, and I totally recommend it!

When they say UltraLight they really mean it. We were amazed at how thin and light the fabric is.We got this bag for kayak/boat/camping trips to keep our stuff dry after one day getting everything soaked. This size is pretty small, a little smaller than a bag of chips when unfolded. It works perfectly for snacks, or for sunscreen, fishing licenses, wallets, keys, and other things of the sort. We went with this instead of a dry box since the size can be adjusted to what we need. Sometimes we carry it on its own, but it is also small enough to be tucked inside of another bag. I really like the rectangular shape - it allows us to use all of the space efficiently. The softness of the fabric also makes it really malleable to adjust to what is inside.I love that I can store it in almost no space by just rolling it up. I haven't tested to see how it performs when dunked, but our bags did get pretty wet on our last boating/camping trip and everything inside stayed dry.

Pros: seams are sealed, rip stop fabric, solid stitching, true to size - all of these get a 5 star ratingI’m not completely aligned with calling the following as a con but...Sack will allow you to fill to the point that you will be unable to close and maintain water seal integrity. So just be mindful to leave enough room for rolling opening over to get that seal.Buckle, it’s OK, maybe even good, maybe. I don’t love it. Could be a little beefier. It is probably sufficient for the size bag, probably. This bag is awesome for keeping light jacket and other small items dry. I actually keep a 3 season waterproof jacket in mine.If you pack small and depending upon the clothing items,location/climate etc ‘‘tis possible to pack a change of clothes to keep dry. This bag is not as think as a SealLine, it is ripstop nylon with sealed seams. This bag is not a sufficient as solitary source of protection for any electronics

Osprey has done it again! An excellent product, perfect for all water needs! We bought this to strap on to our paddle board to hold phones, wallets, keys, snacks, ect. while we're on the water. This pack is awesome. It holds enough snacks for 2 people for a 7 hour float (4 sandwiches, crackers, dried fruit, a couple of water bottles, 2 phones, 2 wallets, car keys). If it is sealed with a little air in it it floats. We have never had any issues with water getting inside even though the material is thin. My only reservation with this dry pack is that the material is VERY thin and if something sharp (like a car key) were to be pressed against it with enough pressure I think it would probably tear.Even if it does tear, Osprey's lifetime warranty would repair or replace the item if necessary. Overall, this was an excellent purchase and I will recommend to people over and over again!

I use these as "packing cubes" for clothing etc inside my large off-road motorcycle's (water resistant only) tailbag in case of rain or if I drop the bike during a water crossing. It's perfect for this kind of use, because I don't need the material to be extra tough, nor to handle intense water soakings or long immersions; I just need it to be light weight and 'reasonably' waterproof. (I use a bigger, thicker, "heavy duty" dry sack to hold my tablet, phone, shoes... stuff that absolutely cannot get even damp.) To give you an idea of size, it is NOT big enough to hold, say, my size 11.5 shoes (the top can only be rolled once, not the necessary 3 times). I suspect it can handle around a pair of size 9 or smaller.I sprayed these with waterproofing just to help, and I must say they've never let anything get damp even before I sprayed them.

It's a dry bag,it doesn't confess to be anything else,I use it for my two man tent,I use this for the fly & inner, keeping it separate from the poles/pegs and then able to fit everything into my backpack much easier & being honest I think it would of fit into a 6l bag but the roll top and clip of the dry bag mean it's not really something to lose any sleep over. It does the job I require of it & does it well,as with all Osprey equipment it's a quality item,if your looking for a dry bag for the same as me then look no further, for storing your waterproof jacket & trousers in to keep them away from the dry gear in your pack then again look no further,it fits my down sleeping bag in no probs &also my synthetic summer bag too..just buy it,you won't be disappointed.

I really like this stuff sack as a solution to pack a few clothing items for layering into my Osprey Talon 22 daypack. It took me a bit to figure out how the dry sack closure works, but once I did I found it to be a great design, easy to stuff and close. I also tried the Osprey 8L Straightjacket sack but ended up liking these dry sacks better. Much easier to stuff and close. I bought a variety of these sacks, 1L, 3L, 6L and found that I can get all my dayhike gear well organized and efficiently packed into my 22L Osprey pack. Great solution. I use the 3L for my emergency/med kit, 6L for clothing layers, another 3L for my rain jacket shell layer, another 3L for food, and a couple of 1L for my sock change and hardware (flashlight, knife, batteries).

It is what it is, a good, very lightweight, and compact dry bag. I've used it to hang food when backpacking in areas that allow hanging food. It packs down super small, which is why I was so interested to begin with. Seems pretty sturdy, I've thrown it around camp on various terrain and held probably about 5-10 lbs of stuff when hanging from the tree without issues. I haven't filled it with knives and sticks, but it hasn't been pierced yet.I have not heavily tested the waterproofing, but it has rubbed up against water containers with a lot of condensation and sat out overnight with heavy dew on it and there were no issues with dampness inside.I don't think it will, but if this bag fails,I'd probably buy it again for the price.

I travel a lot for work often get drenched at work or sweaty and dirty and I got this to use as a laundry bag so I’m my suitcase my dirty washing doesn’t mess up my clean for this purpose it is ideal. When you aren’t using it it takes up no space at all I’m your bag and the way it closes up gives you a great handle to carry it with. Cleaning it is so easy I normally just take it in the shower with me. I haven’t used it to keep stuff dry but I have used it as a sort up bucket to move water and I’ve filled it up to the max with water and it doesn’t leak but as it’s quite thin you have to be careful handling it.I say this as I know some people use water bags to workout when they are travelling and this wouldn’t work well for this

I love hiking and being outdoors, but by the very nature of nature, getting caught in a rainstorm is inevitable. Especially here in the white mountains. At first glance this dry sack seems rather pricey, however when you take into consideration the quality of design and construction, it is well worth the price. I use this exclusively for my DSLR camera to keep the rain and moisture out during my outings. Even if there is no rain, it is light and small enough to be packed "Just in case" without any detriment. It has proven phenomenal at this task despite many downpours. Osprey has an amazing track record with me personally. Being objective, this is the cheapest insurance I have ever paid for.

These are my go to dry bags. Now if I'm going canoeing I would change these out for a bag that floats. However on my usual camping trips I very often pack my clothes in just these bags and throw them in the car. I like that many different sizes are offered - I think I have a 3L, 8L, 12L, 20L and 30 litre bag. I use a 3 litre for my toiletry bag and the one thing I will say is watch out if you bring razor blades. I have a couple pin prick holes in my toiletry bag but I personally blame having packed a razor a time or two on the holes. It hasn't affected anything and it hasn't ripped further so I'm still using. Great quality bags though and love the osprey brand

I bought the 6l osprey dry bag at a great price when it was on offer, really pleased with the quality of it, nice rip stop material, I like the natural green colour too, I can get a lot of gear in the 6l bag too, surprisingly roomy.Seems really well made, good stitching and a nice clip and roll system to keep everything tight and secure, good for separating gear in your backpack or keeping wet clothes in etc.Could be used to keep certain equipment in too, first aid, cooking kit, underwear, micro towels etc.Good quality as you would expect from osprey, bought for wild camping, really pleased with the product and service from Amazon, would recommend.
