I was wary of spending so much on a set of bags to go inside bags (thinking what is wrong with using a bin bag like any ordinary person) but they really do make a big difference. They are nice and watertight, and pretty airtight, but where they really come into their own is compression. If you're tight on space within a rucksack, stick your clothes into one or more of these, sit on it, then roll up the top. Tada, your clothes are taking up half the space they were. The bags also slip in and out of your rucksack nicely, so if you need fresh t-shirt, just grab out the t-shirt bag (nice bright colours, easy to spot even in the bottom of a dark rucksack) and it slides past the others without messing everything in the bag up in the process.Faster packing, faster unpacking...I wouldn't be without them.I have been on several long trips with mine, and although they're starting to look a little less bright and a little more "well travelled" they are definitely standing the test of time. For reference, I received (largest to smallest) dark blue, red, yellow and small orange bags. The dark blue one is big enough for coats and jumpers, jeans, bath towels etc...you could stuff a sleeping bag in there as long as it isn't too bulky. At the other end of the scale, the orange one is ideal for a week's supply of socks and underwear. My 6" e-reader in its case, phone, chargers, battery pack, various cables and other bits all fit in with plenty of space left. You'd not get a laptop or a large tablet in it (not wide enough).

I can now review these after multiple back-packing trips. The latest one was 270 miles along the Pennine Way with these.I know some ultralightweight backpackers don't like to take lots of separate dry bags, but I do. They don't want to carry the extra weight (average 45g per bag - small ones less, big ones a bit more), but I think it's worth it, particularly if your rucksack isn't waterproof (and most aren't, even with a refuse bag on the inside and/or and external waterproof cover over the outside).I used the small orange one as my "ditty bag" containing first aid zip bag, all my tech (which HAD to remain dry) and some personal stuff, also my PLB (locator beacon).I used the next one up,the yellow one, as a stuff sack for my down sleeping bag, (which HAD to remain dry). You can stuff the sleeping bag in, really compress it and then fold down the dry bag neck to keep the item really compressed. It then can be "moulded" to fit into your rucksack really easily.I used the next one up, the red one, for my spare clothes and night clothes, (which HAD to remain dry). Compresses down really well.I kept all my food items in the blue bag.It rained for much of the 270 miles, but all my stuff stayed dry in these dry bags. EXPED is a great make and these bags performed well, but also enabled me to organise my stuff as well as keep it dry. I suppose overall the weight for all 4 would be about 175g, but I think this is worth it for the functionality. They ALWAYS go with me on my trips. Worth every penny.

I've just come to the end of a four month trip through Asia and I took three of the four bags that complete this pack along with me. I have found them invaluable for keeping items in my pack sorted, separated and dry. I used one for dirty laundry; and as it's easy to expel all the air from the bag you really can fit in a lot of clothes into the 2nd smallest yellow one. The smallest orange bag I used for keeping smaller items in one place and the red bag was used occasionally when I needed to keep items dry ahead of a boat trip where there was always the chance my pack could land in the water. All of the three bags I've had with me have held up very well with no sign of damage. They occasionally get dirty but are easily washed. As they take up so little space when empty I will be carrying these great little sacs with me whenever I travel or go camping. Couldn't recommend more...

this product is what it says it is and does what it says it does for a change. i road on a motorbike from england to france, itay and switzerland and back again. we had very heavy rain some of the time. but not once did any of our stuff get wet! these bags are ideal if you have to travel light, and the sizes are great, although i did go and buy a couple of 20 kilo bags as well.my partner did buy a smaller bag from a different, more expensive designer to put his wallet and passport in and after a few days a small hole had worn in one of the corners there for making it not waterproof. these bags dont have corners they are cylinder shape and do squash down taking out all the air so very compact.i would definetley recomend this product.

Just what I wanted to keep in my bag...which is a 10 litre rucksack for every day. The extra small is perfect for purse and wallet...and my partner' smallest on occasions. Small goes in the back pocket, to protect my iPad mini, and is big enough to hold a Kindle and an iPad also, all in cases, if necessary. The medium one is great for the main pocket and all the odds and ends that end up there. I shall be using the large one for washing things or swimming kit. It is a good size for that.Lovely bright colours. The bags all feel sturdy and of high quality. The fasteners are secure and easy to open and close. The waterproof linings feel reliable and I shall be happy to trust my valuables to these bags, this winter.

These bags are pretty much essential for travelling or backpacking, you get a good range of sizes and you can fit a lot into these bags, I got a spare set of clothes, underwear and socks into the smallest one. They are very good for separating clean and dirty clothing in your pack and for keeping everything free of dirt and water. I tested these by submerging them in the bath, they all seem to be effectively waterproof so rain should not get inside. They are also very compact when not in use and are lightweight so you could easily take several sets with you. A very good buy if you go camping, hiking or backpacking.

Bought these mainly because I was going into the Arctic circle in Winter and needed to protect photographic kit and camera (bringing a camera into a warm room from sub-zero temperatures causes condensation on the camera. (Put it into a sealed bag before coming out of the cold means the condensations forms on the outer surface of the bag, not the camera). By putting all the cables into the smallest bag, the bright colour meant that it would be hard to leave behind in an hotel room! By leaving some air in each bag when sealed it effectively acts as a cushioning for delicate electronics. Really good value for money.

These dry bags are waterproof, thin and light. These bags are relatively durable. Unless you intend to shoot at it or puncture nails into it, then these bags are not for you (or any other bags). I bought these drybags twice already, not because I'm THAT crazy over them but my friends were really satisfied with it when they borrowed it from me. I got new ones for myself while they kept the old ones. Noone could tell the difference because they're that easy to clean. Unless you scrub it with wire brush or attempt to clean it after setting it on fire then these bags will leave you terribly disappointed.

I've been using these for my Gold DofE expeditions and I have been so grateful for their superb ability at keeping water out. Having dry clothes to put on in the tent after a cold, windy, soaking wet day in the mountains of Snowdonia really was a treat! Thank you, I am really happy with this purchase and would recommend to anyone looking to keep their stuff dry.Note: they are not big enough to be a liner for a full 70 litre rucksack, however they can be used to organise the contents of your inner bag very nicely and stop everything from becoming a wet and muddy mess in the bottom of your bag.:D

My partner has some of these bags in the "ultralight" version, but seeing as these ones were a bit cheaper, I decided to give them a go. I'm really pleased with the quality; the bags are light while still being thick enough to give me confidence that they won't let water in. My partner's ultralight bags have had one or two punctures over the years (probably because the fabric is thinner but also because he really stuffs the stuff sacks!) but the slightly thicker material of these dry bags gives me the impression that I won't have the same problem.

I wanted to leave feedback on these marvelous bags. Before buying the bags I googled them for feedback and lots of people said that the XS bags were only tiny. They can hold 3 litres and they are 24x14cm.I'm packing for a big trip and wanted a stuff bag for my big puffed-up Karrimor down jacket.I neatly rolled the jacket (size 10/small) and stuffed it neatly, and easily, into the XS bag.A perfect way to carry my jacket clipped onto my daypack, and especially as the jacket isn't waterproof! They seem like good strong bags too.Highly recommend.

I bought these bags as a birthday pressent for my friend who is big into all things sport - she does triathlons, marathons and is heading for the English Channel this year. These bags are perfect to keep all her stuff dry when she is busy running and cycling and she tells me she now puts her wet stuff into one bag and can pop it into the bigger bag without getting everything else wet!!The colours are really bright and cheery, the quality is great, they fold up really small which is good for packing.Overall a great product and a fab pressie!

I use the xs, s & m bags when i go climbing.Xs holds my spare hats, gloves and socks.S holds my storm shelter as its easier to stuff it back into this bag than the supplied oneM has my spare fleece topNever had my rucksack submerged in water but been caught in heavy rain plenty times. These dont let a drop in. The bright colours make it easy remember whats in what and they can compress down pretty small.Never used the large bag but it will be able to hold alot. I could prob fit the xs, s & m inside it when fully loaded.

These dry bags arrived quickly, they seem to be made pretty sturdily and were great for transporting clothes as they made items smaller by squishing out the air. I've yet to properly test their waterproofness but am heading with them into the Amazon for a month so will be able to comment on this afterwards. The range of sizes is good although I would have liked the largest bag to be slightly larger in order to fit all my clothing, the smallest bag fits small items such as camera (not SLR), phone, wallet and keys.

These bags look the part, decent range of sizes, from wallet, passport and phone friendly size, right up to sleeping bag, thermarest and silk liner size (small sleeping bag).Tested mine in a hot tub...as you do, dunked it under for a minute or so, no leaks, seams well taped, seems durable and well made.I'm off to South America for ~year so i'll really get to test them over there - 2010 is an el nino year! I'll let you know how they get on...
