I love this little kit. I know some reviews say it's too small, but I travel to a lot to conferences for a week or so and with just my two carry-ons. Don't let 2 carry-ons fool you on what I haul though. I am allergic to laundry detergents and synthetic dyes and perfumes so this means that I haul a sheet, pillowcase, and towels with me as well as all my toiletries because I can't use freebies at a hotel without a reaction. (What's my trick--combine good travel gear with some good camping gear--backpackers hate weight!). So why this Osprey kit? I was looking to consolidate and upgrade--I used to carry a drop kit that was 4"x6"x2" and a separate liquids bag,but I wanted something all inclusive and wanted to be able to hang it in the bathroom. The liquids bag on this kit was detachable and easy to access at the airport. The hanging kits don't usually have this feature! I also always buy brightly colored gear so it's easy to see if I've left something in all those neutral toned hotel rooms. The rip stop fabric should be fairly durable and one of my carry-one bags is a wheeled Osprey suitcase and it's going strong after a decade of campus travel and 2-3 conferences a year. This pack is also fairly compact--carry-ons and all. What does that mean as you look at my photos? I'm low maintenance when it comes to hair and makeup but high maintenance on the number of things I have to take with me. So if you like more makeup but can use the shampoo and soap at the hotel, it should fit. Also full disclosure--I've gotten fairly good at travel containers, AND I keep an extra pouch for meds, supplements, first aid (which you can see in one of the pictures for reference--that pouch is from the container store and since it is soft is stuffs easily in nooks and crannies of my bag). Okay so you can see the kit rolled up and unfurled. Stuffed full it's about 4.5"Hx8.5"Wx3D" and there's still some stretch room if I need to sneak in something small. In the liquids back I have a pouch/bag of New Wash Rich, and styling gel for my wavy hair, aloe and calendula salve, toothpaste, tinted sunscreen (instead of foundation), EO sample bottle with face oil (works as night moisturizer and eye makeup remover), brow gel, mascara, eye glass cleaner, essential oils, and mouthwash (don't be scared it's Dragonfly Effects herbal). I can also sneak a small EO headache roller in here or change out the hair gel with a mini mister of sea salt/curl spray. The trickiest part of the liquids pouch? Not perfectly square and my matador shampoo bag is a little slick but the New Wash is tick. The middle pouch--which is accessible from the the inside and the outside the kit when rolled! Cool! --Has a half bar of soap (which I could probably go smaller with and I use also for shaving), solid lotion, body glide, deodorant, sunscreen stick, floss, and solid/cream blush/eye makeup compact. (hint: turn travel deodorant and body glide horizontally, they fit better that way) The fabric and bag are what I roll my necklaces and earrings in. I tuck this in the mesh pouch on this level. The upper pouch comes with a mirror !...and I carry a comb, small scissors and sewing kit, hair bands/bobby pins, eyelash curler, lip liner (tinted lip balm is in my purse), eye liner, tweezers, travel razor, and travel toothbrush. There is room in this pouch for a few more things--feminine hygiene for example. The only thing I have that really doesn't fit in this is my night guard case. I hope this helps those of you trying to figure out how small might be too small for you or trying to gauge what you can really get into this kit. Be well! Travel safe!

Wasn't sure about this-pictures aren't enough. Gambled on the Osprey name and Wow scored a great product. Light weight, several different types of compartments. Lots of nooks to place band-aids, toilet essentials. The top part, if you divide it by thirds, has a zipper compartment for bandaids, flat items that don't need fluid protection. Held an array of Tegaderms, foot pads, moleskin, blister shield, band-aids and a few women' products. It has a mirror velcroed in. On top of its a mess section which held slightly bulkier items and is see thru. I put in scissors, tweezers, sewing kit, kit of cotton pads and a few dental items, gum pics and brushes.n Thes second compartment has the same zippered pouch as the top -again for flatter items, with two free pouches sewn on , good for athletic tape, and hydrocortisone and antibiotic salve in small sized packets. Finally the third pouch has a plasticized zippered pouch which i used for individual sunscreens, my toothpaste and mouth wash, Aquaphor and any liquid toiletries I carried from hotel to hotel.I used this bag for a 20 day trip and while it was tight when I left, it always zipped and fit neatly in my checked -carry on size bag. I love the material thin, versatile and STRONG. Just what you EXPECT from Osprey-worth the investment-so lightweight!

This organizer shows the idiosyncratic design so characteristic of Osprey. I love that, and I own many Osprey products, but sometimes I still have to scratch my head. This organizer is plenty big enough for lightweight backpacking, carrying those "ten essentials." It has five zippered compartments; one with two zippers (inside and outside) and a stretch fabric side, and one compartment with none. That was the head scratcher for this product. The compartment with no zipper access is on the outside, but the fabric is so thin that you can easily see through it. That makes it perfect for a laminated ID card with contact info and any medical warnings. (You'd be surprised how many people go into the back country with absolutely no ID on them.)One zippered compartment attaches with snaps and has a clear vinyl side, and one has a mesh side. There are also two inside pockets with elastic lips. All in all I love this organizer and highly recommend it. It is light, has great features, is well-made, and is plenty big enough to hold my group-sized first aid kit, waterproof note pad, and the totality of other paraphernalia that I carry on every outing, and more. I cut off the hanging hook and I clipped a button-type LED light to an inside zipper pull. I'm good to go.

I really like this product and bought my second one within a month of obtaining my first one. I use this organizer for my travel tech pouch and toiletry kit. My favorite feature is the mesh exterior zipper that lets you access the main storage compartment when the kit is opened or closed. The least utilized part of the bag (for me) is the separable transparent pouch that I assume is meant for liquid items. When the rest of the organizer has stuff in it, this pouch seems to result in weird bulges if there is anything in it. I normally do not keep it attached. It makes for a well organized tech and travel pouch for smaller objects and cables. I keep my instant access items in the main compartment with some peripherals in the rest of the kit.I keep a couple of items that I do not normally use in the detachable pouch, separate from the rest of the kit unless needed. As a toiletry kit, it is very compact. I find it perfect for short trips on its own and use it as my main kit on longer trips where some larger additional items may be needed. I usually keep any fluids in a separate zip lock during travel for ease of TSA scanning since the organizer can be too small for everything.

This is a much better alternative than the bulky toiletry bags. Fits all the essentials and prevents you from taking unnecessary items. Doesn't need it's own quadrant in a suitcase.ToothbrushToothpasteFlossPillsCombDeodorantMisc. ItemOutside zipper is useful for quick access items such as comb to look nice again or deodorant to smell good.As far as TSA is concerned. I fly just about weekly and I've never had this taken out for a closer look. Also take this backpacking with only the bare essentials and works well for that purpose.Hook is only slightly useful, but I'm not a person who hangs things anyways. Most locations to hang stuff in hotels are too close to toilets so is rather leave flat on the sink counter.I've really only used in the back county.Internal mesh pockets hold a variety of small things. I keep floss, pills and q-tips in them.Mirror is potentially useful but not for me. Still had the protective coating on it and I've had it about 1.5 years.

I have 4 of them, currently, one for computer related stuff, one for hygiene, one for medicine and one for travel kitchen related stuff, and, with all the thoughtful details, this bag solves all the requirements with flying colours. The detachable transparent bag gives you the opportunity to store stuff just for airport security control, or give the bag a week / day trip flexibility, where you throw the detachable bag in the rucksack / suitcase when you're just gone for a few days, or the entire bag when you're gone for over a week, or you put the transparent part in hand luggage, and the rest in hold luggage. Lots of compartments, zippers, one bag with access from inside and outside, a hook that, when not in use, has its own little pocket, and the material is very light _and_ flexible. When you can write this much about such a little thing (and I am just getting warmed up!) you know you have yourself a keeper.

Love the overall design (and especially the removable clear plastic pouch-- perfect for air travel) but the grey color is actually more of a grey-green and pretty ugly. It has a definite green tint in most light, and none of Amazon's interior photos for this color are accurate. They all seem to depict different styles, but for some reason are on the grey listing. The exterior is grey-green, the interior zippers pulls are a true grey, while the rest of the interior is grey green with dark green mesh. It's a really weird combo of grey and dark green and tbh looks like someone color matched all the parts in the dark.Exchanging for the lime color, because if I'm gonna have a green pouch it might as well be advertised as green.Keeping 4 stars for great functionality, deducting one for inaccurate website photos & description.

4 star due to size and price. MSR of $35 is rather high for the size of this item. However ospery's warranty and quality make up for this. I attached this to my hikelite using some clips at the top of the bag. This make this hiking bag with only 2 zipped compartments into a travel ready personal item. It make the top part of the bag more functional. I wont use the top of the bag unless its stuffed with things now all my small stuff is right on top and there no sag from heavy things in the front pouch. The over all quality and construction of this item is well thought out and it feels premium. I really like the middle compartment with a zipper on both sides that where I keep my most used things. The top is great for my other small less used things and the bottom is good for long things like pens or some make up.

First off, this thing is pretty small, which is exactly what I was looking for and it is just big enough for the essentials. Construction is typical Osprey, thin/light materials that don't seem fragile. This organizer isn't something that would withstand major abrasion, but the material is appropriate for the job at hand. I really like that it has several separate zippered compartments. The hanging hook is great and I haven't been in hotel bathroom I can't hang this somewhere (light fixture, mirror, towel bar, etc)Here is my typical setup (top to bottom as hanging):Top compartment: Comb, hair pomade in a small nalgene travel jar, shampooTop mesh compartment: Toothbrush, toothpaste, flossMiddle compartment: Face scrub, aftershave lotion, razor, shaving creamBottom clear compartment: Deodorant, nail clippers

I saw people whining about how thin the material is, etc.. Do not mind them! I needed this for organization bag in my bug out bag/get home bag. I have already took it on a couple of 5 day trekking hikes, and it is amazing. Love that you can hang it and everything is easily accessible. I have this organizer packed to the brim, and can barely zip it up. It has held up fine so far and I use it a lot. Will it eventually wear out, yes! If you want something that is not ultralight and last you decades, buy 1000D or 500D that ways a ton, has molle straps and Velcro. If you are looking to lighten your load a bit, then this is exactly what you are looking for! Pounds make a huge difference when walking long hikes.1-2 pounds can make a world of difference on your body when walking 15 plus mile/day.

Nice little organizer. I bought it for a toiletries kit while traveling. Didn't fit all my stuff (I have some inhalers, etc), and didn't expand as much as I thought it would, so I'm returning it. Unlike most such kits, it has a built-in semi-rigid frame. This makes it very easy to put things in it, and to carry in your hand, but limits the amount of space it has. Frameless kits actually hold more than their dimensions would indicate, but this one doesn't. The stretch fabric sides (not top or ends) do bulge, but only a little. It has a lot of pockets, though the outside pocket (which is very convenient) is really just a 2nd zipper into one of the inside pockets. In short, if your stuff fits,it would be great, but it won't hold as much as other, frame-less kits with similar dimensions.

Now that we are empty-nesters and I am doing a little traveling alone, I wanted to cut the size and weight of my luggage down considerably, both for travel and camping. The easy first place to start was toiletries. Between eliminating some things, finding 1-ounce containers for liquids and pastes, and buying small versions of some things, I was able to fit everything into this one little pack. Seriously, it is small! Other reviewers have stated so as well. Still, I can fit supplies for a week in this. Some have commented about quality. While the fabric is indeed very light, I have found it to be quite strong. After over a dozen trips, between camping, train, and air travel, this toiletries pack has held up perfectly!

I was downsizing from a larger travel shower kit. This fits all of my toiletry items and my first aid kit minus the roll of toilet paper and trowel. I am not an ultralight packer, and I am a first responder so my kit is more comprehensive than most and this thing expands significantly. The exterior pocket is mesh on the outside and is also accessible from the inside. There is also a small mirror on a velcro tether behind one of the zippers and a hanging hook tucked into a pocket. One of the sections has a clear vinyl window and is detachable. I have a small quick dry towel and it fits in the outside mesh pocket fine.I may get a second one for organizing my electronics and vlogging equipment.

It is quite a bit smaller than standard toiletry bags that you can buy at any number of places and department stores...but that is perhaps part of the reason I got it. I wanted something compact and efficient for packing into my other Osprey packs...whether it is my luggage (Shuttle 100L) or backpack (Ozone 46). The design is good and smart...just wish it was a wee bit bigger, I mean even a half inch wider. Otherwise I'd give this 5 stars. But you cannot go wrong with Osprey products...they are the best in the business and always ingenious in their design. My advice would be to leave out bulkier items, such as deodorants or full-sized toothpastes.

31.3.2019

This is superlight! I transferred things over from a bulkier bag and then some. The mesh pocket is expandable, too, for odd shaped items. Once you fill up the individual pockets and fold the bag in, there is room for some more things to be squeezed in. It is very compactable, so if you have less stuff it will squish down. The material is pretty see through, so the back pockets aren't a good place for anything you don't want to advertise, btw. the mesh slip pockets might be the least visible place to be discreet as the mesh is a pretty tight weave (as the other options are the see through plastic pocket or the expandable lose mesh zippered pocket)
