I have both the 8L and the 13L, and they're both great! They've gone on two trips with me so far - 2 weeks of boating/snorkeling in tropical Philippines, and 1 week of camping & rafting in the dry Grand Canyon. What I like about these over other dry sacks is how light and easy to fold they are. I've used some others that feel very plasticy or rubbery and are harder to get a good fold out of it, consequently meaning I don't get it as small. If you're a backpacker or you have a small weight limit (mine is usually 10kg/20lb) on your travels, you really need your stuff to scrunch down. I LOVE the eVAC thing!!! You close and roll the bag as usual, and squeeze out the air. With the plastic/rubber dry sacks, you have to take out the air before rolling, and it's not as perfectly air-less as this Sea to Summit one. They've gotten splashed by rapids in the Canyon and waves of the deep ocean in the Philippines (I would sometimes carry it on my head while swimming to shore), and the interior was perfectly dry. It's recommended to use 2 bags, one over the other, to really make sure your stuff stays dry...which is why I bought 2 dry sacks. This works very well, but I wouldn't want to *really* test this, if you know what I mean. I put my cellphone, wallet, chargers, other electronics, and my big DSLR wrapped with a drylite towel in these things and they were 100% dry. If you're in a humid place, you may wanna have some silica gel in there too to absorb the humidity that'll get inside when you open the bag.Everyone I meet comments on how high quality this sack is. It's so worth it!16L is pretty big; you can put a LOT of stuff in it. An extra change of clothes, sunscreen, whatever electronics and such you need to put in there. I haven't had a problem trying to fit things. The 8L fits my electronics and other quick-access things very well also, so if you don't have much stuff to house then I recommend the 8L...you'll have room to spare. If you wanna be really minimal, you can go even smaller, but I think 8L is good. Remember that you can always scrunch this bag down to be like 3" tall.

I purchase multiple sea to summit bags for my 2020 Thru Hike of the AT. These bags were awesome and I never had one instance of water inside my bag from Georgia to Maine. I did take extra precautions by using a contactor bag to line my pack as well. I had two 13 liter bags, and an 8 liter bag.I used one 13L for sleeping gear (it easily fit a 0 degree down enlightened equipment quilt, thermarest bag liner and an inflatable pillow). The second 13L was my food bag. I was able to fit around 5 days worth of food, but it was a bit of a squeeze. Once on trail I purchased an additional 4L sea to summit bag to hold overflow food. I ended up keeping this bag on the outside of my pack and I kept my snacks, and lunch for the day in it so I didn't have to dig through my pack or my food bag during the day. I needed the extra bag to get all of my food/smellables to hang it every night. **I purchased the 4L bag from an outfitter on trail, it held up pretty good, but did not last the entire trip. It was made from sea to summit's ultralight material (a much thinner material than this product) and it developed a slice in the material. Eventually a mouse chewed through it and got to my food - I always hung my bags** I would probably get a different bag or a slightly larger bag if I were going to thru hike for a stretch that long again for my food.I used the 8L bag for my clothing. As I am a petite woman, my clothes didn't take up too much space, but during my winter hiking months it fit my puffy, long sleeve sleep shirt, merino wool pants, spare pair of underwear, two set of darn tough socks and two sets of sock liners.I have seen people wash and dry these bags in machines with no issues. These will continue to be my go to dry sacks.

Really, really like the end that allows the air to be pushed out! I hate putting a dry sack or two in my backpack and having them take up so much extra room since you can never really get all the air out. Works great for my sleeping bag (which is what I bought it for) but have also been using it for other smaller things on day hikes. I have another thicker material dry sack that I used to use for all the small things in my pack (including my camera) but I find I am not using that one as this Sea to Summit sack is so much lighter and I can get the air out. If I wasn't putting the sack into my backpack I might use the heavy sack since I am assuming it would take more abrasion, but this Sea to Summit sack is perfect for use inside a pack - and yes I dunked it underwater and it stayed dry inside, so I have no worries when its inside my backpack. This feels and functions like a high quality product. I'm very happy with my purchase.

So I bought this because where I work, it's really wet and I sweat a lot and my phone gets moist from being in my pocket, which is where it stays but I like to have it just in case of an emergency. Bags made specifically for phone are too small because my phone has an otterbox case which I am not taking off. I noticed after the first time using this that under where the seam is, a small amount of moisture still gets in. I'm not sure how this is supposed to survive water sports if it cant handle my sweaty pocket. With that being said, it keeps my phone mostly dry, though I havent sprayed myself with the hose at work yet, and I think it'll be good enough in that respect. Another note I have is the buckle came off.It has a screw, which i thankfully didnt lose, so i could put it back on, but i feel like i havent had it all that long and it shouldn't have come apart

I got these to supplement my older dry sacks for a backpacking trip through Alaska. They were MUCH thinner and lighter than my old school ones which was similar style, but thicker vinyl type material. I ended up using these to throw my stuff in, roll it because it let the air squeeze out (but supposedly not water in) and throwing these into my old school, tried and true thicker ones I knew for a fact could go for a dunk in water and not get wet. The few times they were out, they were definitely water resistant and kept water away from my stuff, although I didn't test them for a full submersion under water for a good amount of time. They did stand up to kayaking with good sized waves and heavy rain fall in my sack while hiking just fine though.

Over the past three years, I have bought a lot of waterproof bags to protect gear on my motorcycle. Some of those bags fail the dunk text on first arrival. Some work well for a year or so and then develop leaks. I bought a couple of these and they are the only small waterproof bags that are still working after two years. I just bought a couple more to replace other brands that had developed leaks.Dunk test - Insert a paper towel, fill the bag with air, dunk the bag in water, watch for air bubbles, pull it out and verify the paper towel is still dry. Re-test periodically because it is better to waste a paper towel while home that to discover your cell phone drowned while on the road.

Originally I purchased the 8-Liter for kayak trips, but it was just too small to keep all the items for two adults. I found the 20-liter is the perfect fit for a day trip. We pack our essentials like wallet, phone, some extra equipment, snacks, and some drinks. If we have extra room I just roll it down further. It keeps things fairly dry. I think you really need to be perfect about rolling it over properly for maximum water resistance. Sometimes our stuff is more wet than other times after tipping over. Overall, I like this bag. Its something you can use for whatever in your life. If you are in between sizes choose the larger version and just roll the excess down.

I bought this for my husband to take to the Philippines and he loved it. It wasn't directly exposed to water because we packed it within a larger dry bag, but he still loved how lightweight it was and will use it again on other trips. I looked at tons of dry bags because this was my first time buying them - the difference with this one is that the air presses out when the bag is closed without letting water in. Other bags you need to push the air out first. Just be sure to buy the right size because I was considering returning this one because when it arrived it was much smaller than I expected.

This bag was a life saver on my recent holiday. Durable construction and high quality material. Air was easy to expel from bag. I stuffed the sac with 4 pair of jeans, 6 or more shirts, several pair of socks, and boxer shorts, and still had room for 2 puffy jackets. Though once packed and compressed, make no mistake, it can get auffuly heavey. So if weight is a concern, be couscous of over packing. I also purchased 3 cheaper compression sacks, for this trip, (NOT SEA to SUMMIT BRAND) was extremely disappointed. I will definitely be investing in more eVac dry compression sacs before my next trip.

I bought the two litre dry sack to store my electronic gadgets and wallet in whilst cycling across GB. These little bags are excellent quality and really do give you piece of mind that your important belongings are safe and dry.The two litre version is about 31cm x 20cm when laid flat on a table - but bear in mind that you'll lose some of the 31cm length when you roll down the top of the sack to seal it.My 2 litre dry sacks were a light blue colour.Highly recommended for anyone who may potentially be caught outside in a sudden downpour!

this bag works great for me. the eVac bottom makes a huge difference in ease of use on the trail. i use this with Salsa Cages on my Surly Pugsley mounted on the left fork to hold my spare clothing for winter camping. i then stuff this into a cheap walmart dry sack 8L for abrasion resistance and added water proofing. if you dont mind an exposed thin bag or run it in your pack then my addition is not needed. the oval shape is really nice and i think it makes it nice for packing in a backpack or in a cage like i have.

I ordered the 13L for my synthetic sleeping bag and it barely fit. If you have something really compressible (say, down) the special vent at the bottom will help get more air out. If you're filling it with clothes/gear/synthetics the vent doesn't get you much extra compressibility beyond what you get simply pushing the air out the top of the bag before closing it. A regular dry bag would do the job and cost a bit less. The oval shape is neat, if not a little difficult for storing a sleeping bag.

This sack is working fine. I took it on a 13-day backpacking trip and didn't worry about river crossings or rain. They're easy to get open and then closed. You may find, as I have, that the bags wear out after maybe 50 or so days of actual backpacking. They don't tear, but eventually something wears thin and they won't hold air. I test these before each trip by filling an empty bag with air and pressing on it. I've never attempted a repair, but probably will.

I use this for my first aid kit. It has always kept everything dry. I even used it as a flag once to drive my kayak 150 miles after the red flag I had was lost. The color makes it immediately identifiable. I keep my first aid kit compartmentalized in heavy duty zip lock bags inside of this dry bag. It is just a precaution. If I was suing it for something less valuable I wouldn't bother double bagging. I has been put through it's paces and never failed.

Awesome product! These drybags are light and durable, taking abuse but keeping it together without issues. I use them for keeping my layers dry and organized when hiking/backpacking, i use them every day as my lunch bag (keeps the spills in if they happen, and they did happen!), as a little gym bag within my backpack (i commute by bike) and it keeps the gym aroma from permeating through the rest of my stuff. Highly recommend!
