With thick, sturdy, very inflexible soles, these hiking shoes have a robust strong feel. The inside material by the toe area feels and sounds a little crunchy when I wiggle my toes, but the combined mesh and leather materials look good. Both materials are the same light brown colour with a few accents in an eggshell blue.These hiking shoes feel very secure on the feet and offer a good solid tread and grip. They are also waterproof as stated; my feet have remained dry when walking in rain and treading on wet ground. The light colour does mean that any dirt shows up noticeably, and stains require a gentle but deep clean to remove. My last gripe; I wonder if the sizing is correct. I am officially a size 5,

I’ve had a pair of Columbia branded boots before and they were excellent, and lasted ages. I’ve no doubt that these are going to prove to be equally durable. They’re also very comfy indeed. I’m between a 5 and a 6 in shoes normally, I got a 6 and found the sizing to be just right, so yes I’d agree with other reviewers that you might want to aim a size up if your normal shoe size is something-and-a-half.They are the kind of ‘trainers plus’ that you can wear everyday, whether on a day out in town pounding pavements, or trekking up a mountain, or throwing on for the school run (without feeling like you’re bringing an oversized 4x4 on your shoes). They are certainly showerproof and withstand a puddle or two,

My wife really liked these hiking shoes, they are in the style of trainers rather than the boots which she isn't keen on, they're very light and actually very stylish so they are suitable for occasions other than using for hiking. She normally takes a size 5 or 5 and a half and found these size 6 a perfect fit. We've had some very wet weather recently and from various walks and trips to pick blackberries she can vouch that they're certainly waterproof; the soles also proved to have a very good grip and gave a good feeling of confidence and that you weren't going to slip. Great shoes.

My favourite hiking shoes were columbia, I wore them out they were so comfortable. I have tried others since but none I was ever really happy with. So glad I bought these they are comfortable right out of the box. I ordered half a size bigger and they are a perfect fit. They feel lighter than others I have tried and I don't think they will need much breaking in.

Reliable footwear. I walk a lot in the field, for my work and for hobbies. They are medium weight, warm shoes, they work well against splashes or little rain (your foot does not sink), and above all, the sole does not slip on wet ground. For me they are fulfilling their function perfectly. In terms of size, they fit the ones you wear normally.

Used these boots for strenuous hiking for a week with no break in period. Very comfortable and supportive and kept my feet dry. No blisters. I am usually a six and went up to 7 on the advice of the reviewers here. Worked very well.

These redmon boots are really comfortable. Of instep and wide last, it allows to realize great routes with an appreciable comfort. The sole, I have also noticed with enough absorption of the ground and good grip. I recommend them.

I wanted to comment that the shoelaces were very cool and I would have stayed, but due to a delay of one week's transport I had to buy others because I needed them and I could not have them, but I will buy others as a gift !!

After reading other reviews, ordered a size above. Very comfortable & used for working within Primary Forest School lessons. All weather's... so far so good
