Columbia men Mid Trail Shoe in my opinion is great for austere environments such as Afghanistan which is where I’m working. Originally after receiving the shoe they seem to fit okay but after walking in them throughout my day I realized I needed a half bigger because it was becoming very uncomfortable. My shoe size 11 but every so often I may come across a shoe that’s cut smaller and need to get half size larger than I normally wear. After I reorder another pair I had no issues and the comfort level was a lot better. Overall, satisfied with my purchase so if anyone wondering about purchasing this shoe I say go for it just order a half bigger from what you would normally purchase. Also,

Second pair I’ve owned. First pair was a half size smaller (10.5) and fit like a glove but you couldn’t wear thick socks. Otherwise awesome comfortable shoe. Second pair I got half size larger (11)than last time and have plenty of room in toe box so I can wear Thick or thin socks. The boot is still the most comfortable boot I’ve owned. Great support in the arch and good ankle support when hiking. Best value the the money hands down. The first pair are still great after nearly 2years of being worn every other day. I had to replace them because the sole separated but that’s because I hike in wet conditions. They aren’t the best at water resistance but still a super value.

in the picture you see that they are not bad but are SOO live better! Read and enveloping, they have no vision the impact of the classic scarponicino hiking ... in short: really nice! The insole with l'ammortizzazione in the heel is a joy for the back and perspiration looks good for these first easy walks ... will tell you more return from the Camino de Santiago! Eye to size, because the model is really tacky and socks do not enter ... always take at least ONE NUMBER IN STRONGER than usual ... When in doubt, even better than a half-size larger! Overall, AFFARONE A HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Picked these up on sale from Amazon. Took the advice of some reviews and ordered 1/2 size larger (11 instead of 10.5). Great fit, a 10.5 would definitely been small, especially with thick socks. A little narrow for me but I can tell they'll stretch a bit wider. Very light weight and not as high as other mid shoes I have. Very comfortable out of the box, won't take long to break these in. Definitely a "warm" shoe, even after just a hour on indoors. Don't think I'll wear these in the heat of the summer, but should be fine fall through spring. I would recommend these shoes to a friend.

I couldn't believe it when these shoes were delivered on Sunday the day after the 4th of July. I wanted a pair of waterproof shoes to mow the yard in and also other yard work. I wear a size 15, so that size is hard to find plus I have flat feet. Bottom line is these are the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn in my 71 years. Thank you Amazon and Columbia. I will buy more Columbia shoes. Try 'em - you'll LOVE them. One more thing. THANK YOU to all of the people who reviewed these shoes as it helped me make a wise decision to purchase. I am so greatful.

From the range of reviews I wasn’t sure what to expect with these boots. I will say that they are more of a sneaker than a boot because they don’t come up high on the ankle. However, I was surprised to find that these were true to size and very comfortable for me. I wear a 12 in ASICS, Nike, and most other brands and the 12 for this boot fits me well (I don’t have wide feet). I will primarily be wearing these on hiking trips so I have yet to see how they will hold up, but for the price I think they will do just fine.

Columbia Men's Redmond Mid Waterproof Hiking Boot.I shopped this product extensively and saved about $30.00 from a sporting goods retailer. I has to purchase ½ larger for the correct fit (normally I wear an 11 ½, and purchased a 12 for correct size.) I wear them specifically for Duty/Work. They are extremely comfortable, excellent fit (keep in mind sizing) walking, running, or standing for long periods of time no issues.Highly recommended; excellent value for the price.

Great looking very comfortable shoes. Might be little warm in the summer. Can definitely feel the warmth but so far no issue. Very light weight and easy to wear. Have been flying with them lately and they are very unobtrusive to fly plane with. Not so bulky that they catch on the rudder pedals or under console with plenty of flexibility to get good subtle movement and flee of plane. Great shoes. Mild mid height shoe. Not full ankle but not regular sneakers either.

It's hard for me to give clothes and or shoes a 4-5 star review as I am 6'6" and 300 lbs. For the record, these are comfortable, but very WARM. I bought them as work/hiking shoes. I don't hike that often now, but would like to get more into it... That being said for work these get warm very quickly. They are a bit narrow, and require a little breaking in, but overall, you will get use to them. 4 out of 5 just due to breath-ability, and being slightly narrow.

About half of the reviews stated that the shoe fit was a half size small, and that might be true for people that have a half size. For those of us from big foot country(size 13 and above), there is no half size. I sized up to a 15, BIG mistake. I sold the 15 to one of my bigger foot friends and ordered a size 14, and we are both completely happy with the fit.

I ordered the shoe a half size larger and the fit was perfect. These boots look better than in the picture, very tactical somewhat. I plan on wearing them with jeans and hiking gear. Columbia makes great products and this is one of them. I highly recommend these boots as the price is very reasonable and the product is worth it.Do reccomend buying a half size larger as the other comments suggest

They run slightly small. Works for me since I am a 13.5. I ordered a 14 and they fit perfectly! Have worn them for as long as 10 hours straight with no signs of discomfort. Have held up well over the mountains in the desert. I've had them for two months and have no complaints. I haven't tested the waterproof levels to the fullest yet, but I felt no leaks splashing through small creeks.

One of the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn....but sizing runs small. Every shoe I've ever bought has always been a size 9 or 9 1/2. So after reading other reviews I ordered a 9 1/2, but it was still too small. I reordered a size 10 and this pair fits great after a short (one day) breaking-in period. Highly recommended, but go up at least a half-size from your usual.

Since they arrived, I have done two walks, quite happy. For stone terrain they adapt quite well. The toe of the boot I have put water on it and it effectively repels it. Color and aesthetic is quite beautiful. It grips the ground well and grips the ankle well as it is half round. I use normal 43 and buy 44 that I have a finger left but in the descents it is appreciated

these winter boots have saved my feet this winter! not only are they resistant to the elements, they provide strong arch support for my flat feet. i work on my feet ALL DAY LONG and these have been SO supportive. i'm not rushing home to take them off after a hard day at work and at times, i feel like they would be a great running shoe, ha! the size 12 is a perfect fit
