I have a previous set of Columbia's in a similar style and have lasted well and put up with a lot.Unlike the other reviewer, I found the size 9's fit perfectly and I have a wide foot. They are comfortable to wear and have no issues with them feeling stiff or needing to be broken into. They are boots, rather than shoes so the ankle protection offered by the boots is typical of hiking boots.The quality of the stitching is very good and the soles have a decent grip.They are waterproof so cope with splashing through puddles with ease. I always add boot protector just in case but haven't had wet feet with these.Price-wise, you quickly learn your lesson buying cheap boots so I always expect to pay around the £100 mark.

These seem to be good quality boots, well made, waterproof (although it's always worth applying an extra water-proofing spray as well), warm and with decently grippy soles. They have a bellows tongue so should be waterproof above the laces as well. Not sure I would have been happy to pay full price for them (around £120) but for £80 they appear to be a good buy from a reputable brand.Regarding sizing, I went for half a size bigger than normal and they still felt slightly snug, particularly over the toes. It seems that the insole they are fitted with is very thick - without it, they are very accurate to size, but with it, they end up maybe a quarter size smaller. After walking a few miles they've already loosened up a bit,

I took these with me on a recent holiday in central asia where I went hiking in the mountains of Kazakhstan. Sounds very exotic but a hill is a hill. These boots were fine. Very comfy no blisters or break in problems. They look very nice as well.My one concern is the price which seems very high at £99- which is why I removed 1 star. While they are very comfy and amongst the most comfy hiking boots I have had I am not sure they are a hundred quids comfy. Then again that seems to be the going price for premium sports gear be it top running shoes or any outdoor type shoes. And smart work shoes can cost even more. So maybe I am just a bit of a skin flint.

After placing the order I had mixed feelings about the purchase, specially after reading some of the feedbacks from other buyers. I am the Scout Master Assistant at my kids troop so I have had my fair share of boots in the past. I can honestly tell you that these boots are amazing. Very comfortable, water-proof and light-weighted. They are so good that I am planning to buy another pair for my oldest son.

Shoes bought for my son for country walks this summer and autumn, and also for attending outdoor sports events next winter. Shoes are good quality, fit well and importantly feel very light which should help him on longer distance walks. Very satisfied. My wife has had several Columbia boots and we've always been very happy with the performance and quality.

These are great boots. They are completely waterproof (I tried them during the very wet weather we have recently had). Putting them on for the first time they were comfortable, and they stayed comfortable for the whole day. There was no dye transfer onto my socks. The fit was perfect (I take a size 9). They also look good. Thoroughly recommended.

The boots are very comfortable. Just one observation: the heel strap is unnecessary and too long, and it is possible that when walking it can get caught with the metal buckles on the instep, making it possible to stumble. thanks

For the money these are very good boots. I've worn them in mud, rocks and snow and they have been dry, warm, comfortable and grippy. 3 days of winter hiking through Scotland and both the boots and my feet are in great shape ?

Lightweight, comfortable boots that hold the foot very well. I recommend them for low and medium mountains. Ask for half a number more than you normally use. The order took three weeks to arrive but it was worth the wait.

Walked at least 200 miles so far with no problems. I have never had a pair of boots that didn’t give we blisters. And after 28 year’s military service I’ve warn a few pairs.. just what I needed and still blister free.

Soft leather, with grippy, flexible sole. I did replace the insole with one with a bit more arch support. I use them for walking outside in winter. So far, they are very comfortable and required very little break-in.

An excellent boots for the mountain. I bought them to go on weekends and enjoy the snow. They are not for professional use for long routes in the snow, but I love them. I bought a half size larger than my usual size.

Perfect mountain boots, after 4 outings hiking and after cleaning they are perfect as new ... as always Columbia does not disappoint. Fast service and very competent a 100% trustworthy company ... keep it up

I was looking for not very tough trekking shoes, and I found. They are very comfortable and with good cushioning. Maybe a little less ankle support, but with quality compression socks is it no more problem.

Received in good condition. This is not my first boot purchase. It fits nicely and will break into it first and as usual columbia does not dissapoints. I have been a columbia user for 5 years now.
