Solid, comfortable, with secure footing. Took it up first 1000 m hill within 3 days of delivery - in v. hot weather (35 C). No problems of any kind - no discomfort, or blisters, good grip on all terrain. Very happy with my purchase, but this is the third pair of Salewa Mountain Trainers I have had, and I will keep coming back to them.

After three sizing snafoos caused by WRONG Amazon sizing chart, these fit just right.. My old pair wore out, so finally got fresh replacements of my favorite hikers! Great shoe for hiking and walking, use these almost every day. GTX keeps water out, Vibram soles provide solid footing and Salewa comfort is legendary.

This is my second pair Salewa's. The first pair came from Zappos, but they no longer offered this particular model...so I was thrilled to find them on Amazon! They feel like a custom fit right out of the box...structural integrity and overall foot support is outstanding. Get yourself a pair!

Great hiking shoes. Right out of the box I hiked 14 miles in the North Cascades. The only thing I needed at the end of the hike was a cold beer. These are great shoes. Very supportive, good traction and comfortable.

Love these shoes--this is my second pair of the exact same style. Comfortable and sturdy--they hold up very well. I wear them every single day and am walking and on my feet the entire time.

Excellent quality shoe at winning price. This is my second pair. Sizing is slightly small, need to be one UK size up from measured 11 to order 12. Love these shoes.

I find them really comfortable and though they are waterproof it can still get in over the top as I found out when I stepped in a stream, lol.

Very comfy and attractive hiking shoe, which is a harder combo to find than you'd think.

Lightweight but sturdy. Good lacing system. Sole is grippy, but has held up well so far.
