Took these out to Zion and Bryce. Our canyoneering guide said that they were perfect shoes for what we were doing. I was so proud. On rocks, in sand and under water they delivered. And much to my children's disappointment, I didn't fall once. I'm no mountain man, but we were in 95º heat, up and down some pretty steep stuff (Angel's Landing, for example) and these really came through. Next up: Minnesota winter.

Most comfortable walking shoes I've owned. As ex-Military, I've done a lot of miles in a lot of boots and have always had some sort of blister or hot-spot. Not with these. Only word of caution is the soles are quite stiff (as designed), which limit the flexibility when going over rough terrain. So if you have weak ankles, you should buy the boot version.

Exactly what I had hoped for. Most approach shoes are too narrow for me, those are perfect. I use them as everyday shoes because I was advised to rely on relatively rigid shoes for a foot condition. they still have a good cushioning and are not extraordinarily stiff. the upper is flexible making cinching the laces either than on many other similar shoes.

Solid, comfortable, with secure footing. Took it up first 1000 m hill within 3 days of delivery - in v. hot weather (35 C). No problems of any kind - no discomfort, or blisters, good grip on all terrain. Very happy with my purchase, but this is the third pair of Salewa Mountain Trainers I have had, and I will keep coming back to them.

These are fantastic shoes. They run roomy which is fine for me as I plan to wear larger socks. The size chart provided by Amazon is incorrect. Simply order your US size or a half size smaller. Forget looking at their European to US conversion. It is completely wrong.

Probably the most comfortable shoe I have ever worn.I bought this for hiking and Via Ferrata in the Dolomites.Spent 7 days with them, no blisters, no rubbing...fantastic grip.Would buy again in a heart beat...just have to wear these ones out first !!

lovely shoe, very good fit, comes with extra in soles too - bonus!! really smart and well made. My husband is trying to get a pair now as he likes them so much and he only buys the best in everything! so thats enough testament on how good these are.

Great shoes, and great look, very expensive but I guess you get what you paid, I had them for a few weeks and very confortable and good arch support, also easy to in and out is like a hiking boot without the hassle

Excellent support and heavy duty shoe. I am sure these will last for years. Looking forward to using this for rucking. My old pair of Merrells fell apart after a few months rucking 40lbs 3x a week. Upgrade!

I've given 5 stars because this product looks and feels quality. WARNING. The first pair I ordered at size uk10.5 were labelled uk10.5 but we're actually UK 10. I had to return them and order size UK 11.

I too had the gtx mid version of these in a size 10 and thought a size 10 in these would be fine. Well I'm making them work with a thicker insole. Really I should have got half a size smaller.

The shoe is very roomy. I sent them back because i have a narrow foot with little to no arch. Even with the additional foot bed insert they didn't fill all the space. Great look though.

Excellent quality shoe at winning price. This is my second pair. Sizing is slightly small, need to be one UK size up from measured 11 to order 12. Love these shoes.

probably not worth the cash and really firm without a lot of cushion but they seem to work for me. I love how they look and I stand in them all day... good stuff..
