These are without exception the warmest and most comfortable boots I have ever had. They're really easy to put on and take off due to the design of the clasps for the laces, which loosen the boot completely when the laces are undone, but the laces stay in place so you're not fiddling about hooking them over each metal hook to put them back on. The fleece thermal lining is super comfy and lovely and warm, and they're totally waterproof too. Although they're sturdy and therefore fairly chunky they're remarkably light weight. Can't recommend highly enough.

I have Merrell shoes which I love my feet never hurt, so it was only natural to try the boot. Overall I do like them, but there are some unexpected things that I don’t like. They are rubber soled and with any moisture squeak when walking on tile floors. They are also a little slippery when wet on tile. They are a bit clunky for a woman’s boot, I feel a bit clumsy in them. Why can no one invent a boot lace that stays tied without double tying them. So frustrating and annoying. They are comfortable and well made just some things that bug me personally.

Fits as expected, no "break-in" needed, comfortable from the time I put them on. The only Merrell shoe I didn't like as much was the Moab low waterproof, which seemed to fit small. This boot gives you room for thicker socks, good support for the arch and heel, plenty of room in the toe box. I just tested them out in below freezing weather and some icy conditions... feet are warm and the grip is good, although I use cleats when things get bad. Haven't had the chance to test the "waterproof" part, but great purchase so far!

I tried these on at home but have not hiked in them yet. I have high hopes, however, because they are insanely warm and comfortable! The inside has a very soft, fleece lining and they feel great without being very heavy or clunky based on taking a couple of laps around the house. I can't wait to get outside and actually try them out. My fiance has the same or nearly identical pair, too, but in a men's equivalent style/size, and also loves them; he says they are very supportive and excellent when walking across ice.

These boots just arrived--so I cannot comment on durability at this point. And they fit great! I wear an 11, and I get nervous ordering online, because shoes frequently do not fit as promised. I have Moab ankle-height hikers, so I was fairly confident going it. But I have to say these fit better then the Moabs. I actually have room for some thicker socks, which is awesome for winter. Very comfortable walking around so far. Luckily, it snowed last night, so I'm going to give them a test run outside this afternoon.

A great shoe! I wore in 20 degree temps snow tubing for an hour and my feet were toasty. Warner than my actual snow boots. Great grip and traction. I Would order a half size up the next time because I noticed that when going downhill my toes were bumping up against the shoe. If you are taking a trail with a lot of ice, you’ll need something else. I slipped and fell. Get something like Yak Tracks to wear over them to add the spikes for ice.

I wore these all last winter, I walk a lot, even with crampons. Never had a problem with wet socks or feet. Pretty warm. I had to add to this review. After walking more with these in the pouring rain, I really recommend these boots for winter activities. The ankle support is perfect, no break in period. I'm not fond of the look of them, but I'm old, so function is more important then fashion at this point.Good luck!

Arrived on time, was exactly as described and fit comfortably right out of the box. No "break in" period required, as expected with Merrell boots. I expect to be wearing these for a very long time. In addition, the seller had included a return label with instructions in case it didn't fit. Very much appreciated but I ended up not needing on, still good effort on their part and I would buy again.

They are so big that I'm not sure I will be able to wear them. I have never bought Merrell boots before, so, I'm not sure if this is how they run, if it's the boot style, or if it's just this pair. They have a comfortable foot bed, nice arch support, roomy toe box, and seem very stable. They are just about everything I wanted except that they are very big.

I wanted to love them! But I did not. While they were VERY comfortable and perfect fit, they were enormous on my feet; think downhill ski boots. I couldn't give them much of a chance given the return policy, so decided to go with my gut plus some previously ignored reviews that they aren't really waterproof. They went back.

These shoes were extremely comfortable and accommodated my prescription, custom orthotics. My only complaint is these shoes trap in all moisture and my feet were extremely sweaty. I'll have to wait until the snow comes to know just how waterproof these are. I would not recognize these boots for everyday where.

I Just wore my boots today on a hike, I love them, they are super comfortable and feel very stable on the ankles, I like the tread it does the job perfectly, they are light as well... It didn't rain or I didn't get wet soI can't talk about water proof. Got compliments on them!

I absolutely love these boots! They’re super warm and comfortable. Went sledding with the grandkids for hours and my feet never got wet or cold. Plus my feet were comfortable with the arch support. I can’t wait to go hiking in the snowy woods. I’ll be able to hike for miles!

These are amazingly comfortable. I wear custom support arches and they fit these great and I didn’t have to size up. I live in Minnesota and have been wearing these to hike. I wear wool socks and my feet are warm! Good grip on snow and ice. Not stiff and are lightweight.

Very stiff. So far they are waterproof but this winter will tell if they really are. I have thin ankles and the boot has to be laced up tight. If you have wide ankles then these boots will be tight for you. Boot is true to size. No room though for an extra thick sock
