It took a couple of days to break these Merrell's in, but once it's done, wow. Very comfortable for all day use. Wearing on concrete floors, feet do not get tired at all. They call these 'waterproof sneakers'. They appear boot-like for all intents and purposes however weigh less than a similarly sized hiking boot.The color scheme is excellent, a demure matte black/grey with grey-silver/black laces. Just the right amount of color. Not overly flashy nor overly combat-like in appearance.Tread is deep, material is comfortable, flexible enough for all day use. Boot/sneaker body is semi-rubberized for waterproof purposes. Lacing and full eyelets are well-designed for each lacing and tying.Summary: Very pleased with this design.

So after a month of wearing these, I haven’t worn them under 30 degree whether but wasn’t ever planning on it because I already have snow boots but they are comfortable warm and I’ve been out in the rain, my left shoe seems like some water is making way through, very little but noticeable my left foot is slightly damp by the end of my work days and no it’s not sweat but so far the right foot has been remarkable so maybe I had a faulty pair or something I don’t see where the water is getting in but if it wasn’t for the left foot I’d give it 5 stars. Maybe I’ll try another pair one day but as of now idk if I could recommend to anyone else.

Merrells are usually 1/2 size too small for me. I'm a 8.5UK so a 9 in a Merrell. I'm planning to use these in Iceland so with thick socks I ordered a size 10. This turned out to be a perfect choice thankfully. I was really surprised how light they are, as well as being really comfortable. I suspect the soles are quite a soft compound rubber as they are squishy and squeaky. This is sensible for a cold weather boot to give the most grip, a bit like winter tyres for cars. However, I suspect they would wear out very quickly when used in warmer weather, but I may be wrong. Overall I'm very impressed.

My usual size in Merrell trainers (Rant and Intercept) is a size 8. The usual fit is snug but very comfortable in a standard dress sock but slightly too snug in a thicker walking sock. Decided to buy these half a size larger 8.5 (43 EU) so as to accommodate a thicker sock and I'm glad I did as they fit perfectly and should keep my feet nice and warm through the winter. Only 4 stars as only worn them on a couple of time so far this Autumn/Winter.

Lived in Montana my entire life and worked outside for most of it. I’ve gone through numerous pairs of winter boots. These are not the greatest boots you could ever own but for the price they are amazing. Unless it’s below 10degrees all I wear with them are compression socks and I stay warm and dry all day. The fit is true to Merrill’s specs, a medium thickness wool sock is comfortable but heavy wool socks will make them tight.

Awesome Boots !! I am a Postman and i walk around in heavy Rain for 4 hours a day.And i can safel y say these boots are completely waterproof.and what else is amazing about these boots is they are completely dry after 5 minutes.No breaking in really comfortable from the time you put them on.Best waterproof walking boots i have ever had.And thats after 22 years of walking in all kinds of weather.Awesome Boots !!

I ordered these for a trip to New England for later this month, I received them today and I am very impressed with the fit and quality out of the box. I will likely forget to revisit this review so I can’t comment on future comfort or longevity but I can attest to the excellent quality of 3 other pairs of Merrell boots and Mocs that I have owned within the last 3 years. I am completely sold on this brand.

Very pleased with these so far. My feet stay warm and dry trudging through the snow in sub-zero weather. Two minor complaints: the arch support for the right foot is a little bit high in the right shoe but a half-sole insert seems to mitigate that and the top two lace holders are not the speed lace type, but it's not a deal breaker. They had a quick break-in and stay comfortable after extended wear.

I bought these boots following an accident when I broke my ankle after slipping on Ice & was worried that the wellingtons I had always worn wouldn't give me the support around the ankle area, I was very pleased with the fit & how they supported the ankle, I would recommend these to anyone in a similar situation or to anyone that needs a sturdy, warm & comfortable pair of walking boots

I bought a pair of these last year for my husband as work boots. They have held up extremely well with the outdoor abuse he puts them thru. He is still wearing them almost every day and nothing has worn thru yet. When I saw these on sale I decided to buy another pair for when these do wear out. He finds them extremely comfortable which is important when you are on your feet all day.

received a few days ago, good fit, look fine. Only concern i have is the upper ankle support, an expensive pair will give better and firmer support and protect the ankle from slips and/or breaking. These give the feeling of movement from side to side. Anyway only bought these for waling the dogs in muddy fields should be fine and given the price seems reasonable.

I wear a 12" when a shoe runs big and a 11.5" when they run small. I ordered the 12" at first and it was way to big. I then returned them back for a 11.5" and feel the are a little bigger than just right but comfortable. The delivery was unbelievably fast, just 2 days and had my second pair in 5 form original order date. All in all, I am happy with these boots.

This is a great boot for the price. It fits a little wide in the toe area, is very good looking, and very warm walking around. I purchased these to wear as casual boots in the snow and rain during the winter months. My son borrowed them after the first week I had them and did a day hike (Temp. was in the 30's) of about 15 miles; he loved them.

They were a perfect fit and comfortable, I am using them for hill walking, in the Ballyhoura mountains in Ireland, where there is some hard walking trails and some bog walking trails and these boots do it all, I had a pair of Merrell walking shoes before these and they were a lovely shoe as well. I would recommend this brand to anyone.

At the time of writing this, I've only worn them a couple of times. So far, so good. Haven't been able to test the waterproof past, but they are warm; wore them on a ~15° day, feet were warm, wore them barefoot at 20°, my feet were almost sweating. Pretty comfortable right out of the box. I'll update after I test the waterproofing.
