I’m quite happy with these boots. I’ve struggled for a while to get something to replace my old non waterproof leather merrells. My difficulty was my feet are narrow and sizing has changed from 10 years ago and my last pair! I rejected a pair from Berghaus and mountain warehouse. These weren’t the first pair of new merrells I tried. I sent back the snow boots too wide and heavy. I needed something lightweight and waterproof. These boots do the job. I walk my dogs everyday across farmland in mostly damp or wet weather. I’ve had these boots now about 2 weeks and they seem to be bearing up. Although they are obviously wet in the pictures I can assure you my socks & feet were dry inside.

Excellent grip on wet surfaces, very lightweight on the feet a d a high supportive arch. I have added a performance insole as I felt the boots were a little large on the depth for my feet. Size wise the website recommended a 6.5 for me based on the fact I wear New Balance size 6 running shoes.... However I would have gone for the size 6 Merrell boot too as 6.5 a little large. The quality of the finish of the boot is excellent. I have found the ankle support takes quite a bit of adjustment t to be comfortable however I have suffered with achilles inflammation in the past and think the supports aggravate this. I would definitely recommend as value for money

I'm a size 5 and got a 5 1/2 and these fit fine. I've only worn them a couple of times for dog walking but they look and feel fine. The big difference to other hiking boots I've had is that they are much lighter; far less chunky. My old ones were supposed to be really good quality but fell to bits. However, I've since learned that you must let hiking boots dry out between wears or the waterproof membrane rots. I'll spray these regularly and take better care. They feel good quality and like they'll last for years.

I have not bought walking boots before so I am not a good judge but I find these great. They are definitely light and comfortable. The back does seem a small bit rigid when I put them all on first and yet when I walk I never notice it at all. The support under the heel is brilliant, I feel like I’m springing forward when I walk. But as I say I’m a novice and I only have them 2 weeks but so far I love them!!

I love the shoes! It is comfortable and the fit is as I have expected. It keeps my feet warm and nice. The only problem is that I went hiking in Wales and it rained a lot. The shoes were okay at first but after a while, it was soaked! It was wet even after waterproofing the shoes with a spray. So as long as you're not out in the rain for more that 5 hours, these are good

A great waterproof, lightweight. comfortable walking boot. Great fit and I’m a Merrell convert now. Would highly recommend these boots for walking !

I have wideish feet and often struggle with shoes, but on first wear these were like comfy slippers. Couldn't have found a better product.

Bought a larger size to accommodate walking socks - and they fitted perfectlyOnly snag is the length of the laces - they are too short

Perfect for wearing straight away & so light weight. Have proved they are waterproof. I'm very glad I invested & bought them.

Nice boots comfortable and supportive. Not quite as much arch support as I'd expected but better than most others.

Very comfortable and waterproof. I have worn them in very wet and muddy conditions with no problems.
