Had these two days now and worn for several hours so far so bear that in mind re this review. These are the first Merrell shoes I've owned and you can tell the quality of the product straight out of the box.I am normally a size 11 in trainers but also ordered a size 10 in these but the 11 fitted perfectly. While the 10 wasn't any "shorter", they were definitely tighter round the sides and tip of my foot. The cushioning and arch support is the excellent. I normally wear insoles with arch support in my trainers and work boots bit no need to add to these.So far the grip from the soles in tarmac and paving is very good and I could see myself wearing these on city breaks as well as walking the dog along forest tracks and hiking.The look good on and are not too bulky.

Fit: As others have said the shoe is a very tight fit. I'm normally a 9.5-10. I bought a size 10 and these shoes really are tight. Length-wise the shoe is fine, I think they've just been designed to really grip and support your foot. Personally, I like it. I went out walking with these (10 mile hike) last weekend and I don't think my feet have ever felt so supported. I did get some rubbing at the back of my foot and a small blister on my little toe but this isn't unexpected for a new pair of walking shoes.Style: They are awesome looking. Best looking walking shoe I've seen.Grip: Very, very good. I took these over a variety of terrain including mud, sand and wet slippy rock.

Needed a new pair of shoes for dog walking. After reading many reviews I decided on getting a pair of merrells.As the reviews all said getting a size larger than normal I went for a size 12 instead of 11 as I normally am, which is good as the size 12 were cheaper than the 11 and 11.5 sizes.As soon as putting them on I am glad I did go for the larger size as the size 12 fit perfectly.Not really had much chance in wearing them in yet but so far no complaints, will see how they last but very happy with the purchase.

I purchased these and a pair of the black in a UK 8.5. These are about half a size bigger than the black pair, they fit under my ankle nicely, have a half size more at the toe which is noticeable (I got use to it) in a summer sock but allows me to wear a winter sock without any issue so works out well. The bridge of the foot is nice in a summer or winter sock. Overall they are comfortable and seem robust. I don't do the walking I use to but can't seem to tear myself away from Merrell hiking footware.

A new moab but just as comfortable out of the box as ever. In fact, better. The new model is a bit more lightweight, but has the same snug fit on the heal. Sizing is a bit better than I've had with merrell before but I'd still advise going up at least half a size to your normal fit.Update after a few weeks - wearing well but definitely not as substantial a shoe as the original - happy enough with them, but on reflection these are more of a fell running shoe than a walking shoe.

I purchased these and the Green (Olive Black) pair in a UK 8.5. These fit perfectly, they fit under my ankle nicely, have a small amount of room at the toe end which allows me to vary between a summer sock and a winter sock. The bridge of the foot is a little tighter in a winter sock but perfect in a summer sock. They are comfortable and seem robust. I don't do the walking I use to but can't seem to tear myself away from Merrell hiking footware.

I bought these for my father in law for Christmas to replace a pair of the same make which he had worn out. He said that to begin with they were really uncomfortable and was contemplating returning them but he stuck with them and he now loves them and wears them allot. They are lighter than walking boots and the fact they are waterproof just adds to the plus points for them! Would recommend but only if you are prepared to break them in.

Bought for a walking holiday where they were fantastically comfortable. Lightweight and good grip. However I am normally a 10.5 and had to go up to a 11.5 to get a fit (both of these being UK size). I have noticed the toe protection is separating from the fabric. Have used supe glue to stick down. Also I am not convinced as to whether the gortex works 100%. So in short great grip and comfort, go up a size to fit, not sure of quality.

I've had several pairs of Merrell trainers and I've found my favourite now. Comfort underfoot and the ankle cuffs cosset in just the right way, not too tight as to choke the life out of your ankle but not too lose to blister your heel. Right out the box and explored Barcelona over four days.. no pain or discomfort at all. Brilliant buy.

Looks gorgeous, arrived quickly and maintains the very high standard Merrell are reputed for and was £80 only. They are always incredibly comfortable straight out of the box and they have good grip and excellent waterproof thanks to the wonderful GoreTex.

I bought size 8 from other seller and had to return them as too small, so got size 9 here. Recommend getting at least a half size up from normal. Otherwise shoe is pretty comfy and attractive. Been wearing about a week and happy so far!

Brilliant shoes but it's small fitting, so if you have wide feet this is not the product for you. I have to wear thin socks. The first time I got blisters but wore thinner socks and tt's comfortable and waterproof.

Great shoes ! I am a UK size 8 and they feel like a smaller fit than other UK 8's but they still fit well. Great shoes, quite thick sole's but a big help when walking uneven terrain. Cool colours too !

I found these shoes an excellent fit and very comfortable for my regular walks with the dog. They are a tad expensive but well worth the money for the mileage I get out of them.

Merrell classic fit. If a 10 in another Merrell fits you, so will these. Really happy with waterproofness and comfort over rough tracks and tarmac.
