It’s difficult to buy walking shoes during coronavirus restrictions. If I’d been able to visit a shop I would probably have tried on half a dozen pairs before making a decision. You can’t do that easily online. It’s too expensive to order several pairs at once and takes too long to return a pair, get your refund, and order another pair. These were the third pair of shoes I tried from online and I decided to settle for them as they were the most comfortable to date. I was in desperate need of some really waterproof footwear for dog-walking on wet and muddy rural tracks and couldn’t wait to try any more. In a shop,I’d have tried a half size smaller and also a slightly higher shoe but I decided to buy these as it was getting wetter and wetter underfoot and couldn’t do without a pair any longer. They are nice and wide at the toe, which I like. Have worn them each day for a week so can vouch for them being waterproof and comfortable. I only gave them 4 stars because I was disappointed in the colour choice. I don’t like grey or pale blue and would never normally wear grey things. They aren’t very feminine colours. Would much have preferred brown, rust, beige etc.

Was given shoes as a present over a week ago, here are my findings so far:- I took a gamble, and ordered half a size larger than normal (12.5UK instead of 12UK), and ignored the other reviews saying order at least a whole size bigger. Half a size bigger turned out to be perfect for me, however I only waer normal socks, not big thick walking socks. If you wear the latter maybe order a whole size bigger?- These were purchased when they were around £65 direct from Amazon. I have since seen the price rise up to around £100. Shop around as a few places do them for a lot less than RRP.- Not had a chance to test the gore-tex waterproof efficiency, however my feet have been relatively cool with less foot sweating compared to other walking shoes.- For me, these were comfy straight out the box. Took a little while getting used to the chunkier tread in the soles (maybe a bit stiff to start with), but that was me coming from wearing trainers all the time.

I have been wearing Merrell moab for years. Always comfortable right out of the box. True to size . Only thing that is a negative for me are the laces. They are the round ones . They don't stay tied unless you double knot them. So I just replace them. I have to wonder if whom ever designs these shoes actually wears them. I would think not or the laces would be different. Need to be careful, some sellers like 6pm shoes sell 2nds but don't tell you. A couple years ago I bought a pair of merrell moab from them. Their price was 20.00 less then other sellers.I put them on and went out for the day, during that time I noticed that the tongue was hardly long enough for the laces to stay on top.One tongue was so short that the laces at the top went under the tongue as I walked. Well I couldn't return them then because you could tell I wore them. Live and learn . The ones I just purchased from Amazon were perfect.

I ordered these shoes on 10 Jan 2020 and they arrived (Australia) on 28 Jan. Not bad for overseas postage! They are the real deal. I ordered them to replace some hiking boots which are a fraction too small. I’ll be hiking two tracks in New Zealand in March and so wanted decent replacements but opted for hiking shoes instead of boots. I love them! I haven’t had the opportunity to wear them with a weighted pack yet but so far they are are very comfortable! I’m a US women’s size 11 and ordered the EU 42.5 and they fit really well. With thickish socks they’ll be perfect :) I’ve never owned Merrell’s. Just went off a lot of recommendations from friends who are outdoorsy. The price advertised is exceptional (AUD3)as on sale here In Western Australia, I couldn’t find any below AUD0. Even with extra for postage of course, it was an excellent buy! I’ll certainly be ordering more from Trekkinn, cheers guys!!

OMG! I am super excited about these hiking shoes! Besides these I have another pair of hiking shoes but they suck I bought them for cheap. I guess I got what I payed for. Anywhom I am one to hike A LOT! I've hiked at over 15 state parks in Texas and like another 10+ state parks in states like Virginia and Arizona! I plan on Hiking in MANY more state parks in other states soon and I also have a couple of National Parks on my bucket list to hike! Sooooo with the amount of hiking I do I think it was about time I decided to invest in a good pair of hiking shoes! These were it for me! The color of these shoes is beautiful! I bought these in the Brindle color! When I tried them on right off the bat these felt 10x times more comfortable than my other hiking shoes. I can't wait to wear these and test them out! I'm sure they will not disappoint.

I bought these for my daughter who ALWAYS has foot pain when walking or hiking any real distance (in any shoes). I have a pair of Merrells Men's Hiking shoes that I have had for 3 years and after beating the crap out of them all this time (hiking, walking, yard work, general use), they are still comfortable and still look new so I thought I should get her a pair before vacation this year. Wow what a difference a quality show makes! She has been walking around for a couple of days now and has no foot pain and says the shoes feel great. She did say they felt a little heavier than some of her tennis shoes and didn't seem to breathe as well but obviously they make up for it by being comfortable.I highly recommend any Merrell product and these shoes in particular.

Wonderful to find a ladies’ walking boot that comes in a size 8.5. I don’t normally buy shoes without trying them on first but I risked it with these, and pleased I did. On taking them out of the box they seemed rather clunky but have quickly got used to that.....they are described as a boot and not a shoe, after all. They are true to length but fairly wide: I have narrow feet. However, I inserted a half inner sole under the existing inner sole, and with thickish walking socks they are a comfy fit. I find they rub a bit on the heels but this is improving each time I wear them. They do seem to be waterproof but just to make sure, I sprayed them with an appropriate product. Job done!

Very comfortable fit, breathable uppers and lightweight. Easy on and off. No need to break in at all; these were great from the first wearing on a 3.5 mile hike that included hilly, rocky and mucky terrain. Provides good traction on scrabbly downhill slopes as well as climbs. Soles are flexible yet very protective from sharp stones, cactus and other hazards of the Sonoran desert. I don't have a wide foot but I do like a bit wider toebox than some hiking shoes offer and these are just right to me. I've worn them daily for hikes and walks of varying lengths and types and have yet to find anything that I dislike about them. And I really like the granite color!

I gave the shoes a trial "run" today. I couldn't believe how comfortable they are. I have wide feet and bunions and it's a nightmare finding anything to walk in which is comfortable. I am going for a 5 mile mountain walk on Sunday and I have the confidence to wear my new Merrells without the worry of blisters and foot problems. There is very good arch support which felt odd at first but I quickly got used to it! The quality seems excellent and they have really good vibram soles. I don't know if they will be waterproof but then nothing is in Crete rain!! I paid for expediated delivery and they arrived in 4 days thanks to quickly being dispatched and to DHL!

Ordered my new pair of Merrell Moab 2 Gortex on 4th Feb 2020 and received them 11th Feb 2020. That was a great surprise as estimated delivery date was 14th or 17th Feb. Well done Trekkinn. I bought my first pair of Merrell shoes way back in 2011 when I was in Europe and was going hiking up and around some spectacular mountains and the shoes I had just didn't cut it. I was so very pleased with the choice I made of buying Merrell with Gortex and Vibram sole that I would never look at any other type of shoe as they truly are waterproof, breathable and so very comfy (other brands just do not feel right). Looking forward to lots more hiking. Keep on Trekkinn.

I was delighted when I unpacked my shoes that the fabric on the upper shoe is gore-tex, hence the shoe is somewhat waterproof. I have had the same shoe for years and dreaded the day when I had to go out to find a replacement, my feet being somewhat difficult to please. I was delighted to find that years later the same model still exists. I had remembered that it was supposed to be waterproof, but as no mention had been made on the Amazon website I thought that I must have been mistaken. Luckily I had remembered correctly and only the description was a bit short on facts in obvious places.

Very satisfied with the shoes, although not advertised as waterproof, I have walked through mud and rain and my feet have remained dry and comfortable. Sizing is slightly on the large side, but as I'm doing a lot of walking in them I wear hiking socks, which you need room for!Very satisfied with the customer service. I had a small issue that was resolved quickly and efficiently. I would definitely recommend these shoes for anyone that does a lot of walking. I have so far used them in the UK Autumn, but am taking them traveling to SE Asia, so will see how they are in the heat!

We live in rural New Mexico where every time you step out your door its a trek so traction is important to me. My favorite Nike trail shoe wasn't cutting it and my feet hurt at the end of every day so based on reviews I tried these. I was afraid I'd have to return them after the first 2 days because those days were kinda painful. I assume because they've got a bit more arch support than what I'm used to but by day three and ever sense they've been the most comfortable shoe I've worn in years and no sore feet at the end of long days on mixed terrain. I love these shoes.

I’ve always been suspicious of hiking boots having owned a Salomon pair which were unbelievably painful due to the high arches in my foot. So until now I’ve used my converse for walking - with the inevitable plateau on distance because they are not designed for it and cause foot and ankle pain on long distances. Since purchasing these boots I feel my inner hiker has been freed - I have never felt such comfort and it’s as if the boots themselves adapt to rugged terrain rather than my body having to. Such a great purchase and they really are the mother of all boots!

Most importantly, a pretty reasonable fit for the stated size. Many say these shoes are very wide across the fore-foot which was a reason for me to buy them as I have broad feet but I'd say they are about what I would expect from such a style in order to be functional. They are certainly not too broad unless you have a very slim foot. I suspect many budget priced shoes are just plain narrow - less material means less cost. These Merrell Moabs are broad enough for me & quite comfortable, if a bit hot in a heatwave, but then I suppose all such shoes would be.
