Purchased these boots as a back up to my tried and true sorrels for week long trip on Iceland. Ended up using these boots throughout the entire trip. They are light weight, have decent grip on ice and snow conditions, and offer decent ankle support. Some people knock on the warmth of these boots but had no issues. Temps I used them in varied between 10 and 30 degrees walking on glaciers, snow, and water. Only knock on them is that there not stylish by any means but function mattered more then form for my use.

I bought these for the ski resort and I was so glad I did. Insulation is decent, you will still need to wear thick socks. Artic grip was fantastic I had no problems walking in snow/ice. No issues with waterproof function. Only complaint is the metal rings at top of the shoelace is on the side and it could feel them so if you are wearing for long time I can see it can be bothersome. Overall i am satisfied with purchase.

I live in an area that gets icy in the winter months. This boot makes it possible for me to go out to do chores and my daily walk without fear of slipping on ice. This is my third pair of Merrell boots with Ice-Grip. If you are looking for a pair of winter boots for comfort, warmth and safety in walking on icy surfaces, this pair of boots is a MUST HAVE for you.

This shoe is meant for winter hiking- not summer hiking nor mountain climbing. It is insulated and moisture-proof, but definitely requires some body heat (activity) to make your foot warm in cold weather. It was comfortable for me out of the box (sized well, no break-in period). This is a relatively cheaper "serious" boot that meets a good value point.

This is my second pair. I wanted a second pair for when the first fails. I have had a little separation on the front rubber sole, but fixed it with some clear gorilla glue. I have walked my yellow lab 3-5 times per week over 2 miles for 1 1/2 years and the boots are still holding up. The Vibram sole is soft and anti-slip on ice and hve worn well.

Highly recommended as a mid price boot.Fantastic boot, and the best part is they fit like a glove and you do not need to wear them in like some boots & shoes! Well in my experience no problems.Since they arrived on Amazon I have bought 3 pairs 2 for myself and one for my son.No problems in both cases and very warm to a wear.

Really pleased with these boots they are really warm and comfortable straight from the box and seem very well constructed. I've worn them in very wet and muddy conditions and they've not let me down. Longevity, who knows only time will tell. Vibram sole is made of a softer rubber than others I have but grips well on ice.

These boots are fantastic. Used them recently walking through the Alpine mountains in Australia and the grip is fairly good through the snow. Kept my feet dry and offered good ankle protection and support for cross country hiking. I grabbed these in order to trek around snowy Hokkaido in winter. Very good boots.

I bought this for my husband and he hasn't yet received them. But I have a pair and love them, warm, and non slip soles. I have hip replacement and live on an icy road..no falls. I bought 1/2 size larger than usual and they fit fine so must run small.

Excellent boots. Very warm and great grip. Tested in weather that was around -30c. It is still possible to slip on ice but they give more confidence when walking than any other winter boot I've ever used.

Dubious about claim that the soles help on ice but husband says they are much better than his other winter shoes. Not as good as ice cleats, but the soles definitely help on ice.

Beautiful fit. I'm usually a size 12 in gym shoes but I went got 11.5 and they fit the bill. Super grippy and I got them for 45 bucks! Add to cart and wait for price to go down.

Excellent boots. I bought them for my huby and they fit perfectly well on him. He says they are warm and comfy. Great buy since we bought them at a very good price.
